Very good and excellent cuisine. none
We wanted to be in a central location to visit a variety of chateaus and cathedrals and this was convenient and had free parking. Our room was quite distance from the chateau in a converted farm outbuilding. Very cramped and very poor ventilation. Entry drive in very poor shape.
A very pleasant and convenient base to explore the Loire valley. Carrying luggage up a spiral staircase to the top floor, limited choice evening meal.
Friendly staff, nice location and good food
Very attractive buildings set in pleasant countryside close to Cheverny. Our room (in the Vestry annexe) was new and very well appointed and had air conditioning. Restaurant was excellent, though with no choice of menu. Good wines. Attentive service. Price was at the high end for this hotel.
Staff sympathy was the high point. The garden is also very nice and has many types of fruit trees, giving the possibility to taste them directly from the tree. In the site they mention that hotel localization is around 7 km from the Chambourd Castel, but this is about 17 km. They present the Hotel as a Castle but this is more a farm like house, very hard to find by car.
staff, and breakfast old building, need some repairs
Warm atmosphere, very welcoming
Peaceful situation, large room, good breakfasts, well situated for the Loire Valley. Modern bathroom, comfortable beds. Nice garden. Nuclear power station nearby. Room rather sparsely furnished - no armchair.
Very friendly and helpfull staff/owner
An inexpensive yet good quality hotel with friendly staff
Because of our roadchoice through this landscape
No restaurant , superb view and proximity with a nuclear centrale.
Quiet, nice small hotel with its own specific atmosphere, excellent services and management. Friendly approach to guests. Very good breakfast . May be some renovation would be useful but I am sure the management will be able to do it
You are welcomed by friendly staff and the rooms are large and very clean. There is a garage where you can put your bike, which is locked at night. The jam at breakfast is home-made. Though the decor is a little outdated, the warmth of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and renovated bathrooms give this hotel its charm.
pleasant staff, location to Chambord and highway was excellent
Good location for visting the chateaux to the east of the Loire Valley. Good bedroom and shower room and appreciated the swimming pool. Breakfast was reasonably priced. Bracieux had a good selection of restaurants, all walkable from the Logis. I would recommend Le Rendez-vous des Gourmets but you must book in August. No tea or coffee facilities or fridge in room but they did have a communal fridge available which was helpful.
Comfortable hotel, good breakfast, and the swimming pool very welcome at the end of a long day on the road. None
Helpful and thoughtful staff at this basic but comfortable and well situated Logis
Large room, freedom, quiet, secure parking & good breakfast.
Although staff spoke little English, they were very helpful and accommodating.
Good location, in town so could get about on foot, lovely small French town, found chocolate shop open till 7pm. A few places to eat in town. Five of us in one room with mattress on floor for youngest. Dated and not at all flashy but functional and cheap, and a good stopover for the chateaux.
the staff were very friendly and the location is excellent
Very clean, new room in a small house behind the main building, well located near Châteaux, restaurant across the street is excellent. Swimming pool available, very quiet
Very clean, nice size rooms. Excellent bike rental at extremely good price. Very VERy uncomfortable bed. Worst nights sleep in years. Furniture and decor very spartan and drab.
Despite our very late arrival, the staff were very accommodating and provided us with a very acceptable meal.
Easily located just off the motorway for an overnight stop, in a pretty village location. Rooms clean and comfortable. The food was excellent but pricey, a treat for the end of our holiday. A little road noise in rooms at the front of the hotel but this didnt spoil our stay.
Loved the location. In a really pretty little village with a Chateau. Hotel rooms were very comfortable and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is a gourmet one and is quite pricey. In restrospect we would have been better eating outside the hotel - but that was our fault - not theirs!
Excellent restaurant, good location close to A20 motorway and a very charming logis Quiet despite being in the centre of the village. This is a very good restaurant with rooms. The restaurant is not expensive as somew reviews suggest. Rooms are fairly basic but very typical of a logis in France offering a room and a good restaurant.
It was quiet, and located very conveniently for doing some family business while on holidays. We booked for a Sunday night. After booking got an email advising we would need a code number to get into the hotel as noone would be there when we arrived on the Sunday afternoon. Rang up and got the code -luckily . If we had not been watching our emails, might have arrived not knowing about the "automatic check-in".
Setting was magic. WiFi conection only in main part of Castle.Extremly slow.Meals a little expensive.
Liked the lovely setting and the style of the building. The receptionist, Virginie, was very charming and helpful. The restaurant was closed, which we had not been told until I emailed to book dinner. Only 2 rooms occupied so not worth opening the restaurant. No breakfast available, either. So we had to drive a long distance having had only water!
The castel and the sorroundings We booked a room in the hotel which is a castle not a room in another building. We weren't warned from this in our booking.
The beautifull grounds in which the hotel stood in. the friendly staff and how they included myself and my husband in the activities.
There was enough space in the room so it was not cramped for 2 people. It would suit a family with small children. The reception we recevied was poor. There was no real explanation of where the room was or any thought of help. I was travelling with a disabled friend. There is no where to eat a meal in the hotel, but there is a great restraunt in the village - 5 minutes drive away. They also do a good french breakfast.
Used this hotel as a break to a long journey. Lovely grounds, clean and spacious rooms, nice pool, bar terrace and very peaceful surroundings. The restaurant only offered one choice of meal and the breakfast was just adequate. Much more could be made of this beautiful place to attract guests - an update to the decor in the guest rooms would help and much more effort could be put into the dining aspects!
1. Excellent welcome and provision of information about the hotel, local area and recommendation on the best castles to visit during our short stay. 2. The evening meals were excellent and very good value for money. Probably not the hotels fault but we experienced difficulty settling our account on checkout - 3 different credit/debit cards failed to work. Fortunately, because our reservation was made on the internet our credit card details were available.
Excellent value for money in all respects. Lovely indoor pool. Highly recommended. Nothing
The food was very good
This hotel proved to be a good value for the money. The bed we stayed in was unbelievably comfortable! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the region--a delightful experience!!
Very nice hotel with quiet comfortable rooms. The meal was excellent. Close to several famous chateaux.
very well situated to visit chambord and blois, very calm. the bed could have been more large and comfortable.
Location Shower cubicle was too small (26 inches x 26 inches)
This is a quaint village hotel - rather drab from the outside, but has a charming small garden at the back where we ate a delicious evening meal. The chef uses herbs and spices from the garden and the food had a very interesting twist. A family run hotel, and we felt very relaxed and welcome there with our own two children. Our quadruple bedroom was fine - with a lovely, decadent marble shower room, and everything was clean. The only minor downside was that our (very nice) room overlooked the main village road - which was actually quite busy from early on in the morning. A number of lorries use this route and thundered past the bedroom, making it noisy.
The room was really nice and the people very friendly. We were advised to go to a restaurant in the village only to find it was closed every Monday which was the day we were there. Having said that we would happily return if in the area.
Our room was very comfortable and clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to visit and recommendations for places to eat. It was a great base to explore the many chateaux of the region. A very enjoyable few days stay. We would certainly return if we were in this region again.
We had a gorgeous room in this B&B and the couple who owned it were fantastic - very helpful and genuinely nice people.
I liked the warm welcome by the owners, the nmice atmosphere and good price-quality ratio.
Great hospitality! Beaufully quirky hotel in a very peaceful location. A tea and coffee maker in the room would have been great!
The sauna, it was good, but the price is 10 euro per person. One thing which I don't like was: in the morning they didn't respect the clients, and tried to show that it's a time to leave the room, with a polite smile in a face lady told: that you need to leave the room at 10.30 (!!!) why not at 8?))))))) on the web site there is an information that the chek out time is 11.00. They destroyed the romantic moments in the morning....Also restaraunt is not a restaraunt...in a menu u don't have any choce.....it's depends on what they cook on that day)
Very good for a 1 night stop over, good bars and restaurants within walking distance. We turned up late (9 p.m.) and the guy on receptions was very accomodating.
This is a hotel with basic facilities, but very clean and with an excellent location. Staff very friendly, very willing to accommodate you. A special mention for David who was very helpful and kind. Very quiet place, for a perfect night sleep between visiting the castles in the Loire's Valley. The major addition to what the hotel is offering now would be the internet connection, a permanent TV schedule (TV was on and off during our stay there, off especially during the night) and improved breakfast choices.
pleasant manager, small, quiet, fair cost
Very clean, spacious room. Tranquil setting. Excellent breakfast. The proprietor was very friendly and most helpful. Well located for exploring area.
Room: simple furnishings, but everything very clean and with large comfortable bed (recent development, so everything new and working as it should). In quiet, pleasant surroundings, set back from main road. Rooms to rear have view over large pond, some with terrace/balcony. Well-placed for visiting Chambord, Blois, Chaumont, and many other interesting places in east Loire Valley. Didn't take advantage of the optional extra of breakfast, but saw the remains of the buffet, and didn't think that it looked worth the 8 E charge, (although I accept that this is an avarage price for similar meals elsewhere).
Clean room and friendly manager. Breakfast ok not very exciting. No tea and coffee making facility in room. No hairdryer.
nice vilage, close to Chambord castle, easy access to Blois, new hotel, friendly staf No
We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the hotel and the cleanliness and very comfortable beds. Also the fact that the owner was waiting to meet us even though we didn't arrive until after 8.30pm which was a lot later than we had expected. The breakfast room wasn't very inviting and the breakfasts were not very inspiring, however they were not charging too much for the breakfasts so I supposed you pay for what you get.
