fantastic location, base price for basic accommadation, very friendly staff
Cleanliness and the staff as well as the very central location that worked very well for us. Room small and bathroom very tiny - but clean. Also, for some reason the hotel was very noisy internally. We did not sleep any of the 4 nights there due to the noise. We could not hear anything from the street - it was all internal noise. Also, they charged more than the booking amount - they said it was because we had two beds instead of one but that appeared to be their choice!
Hotel had a certain charm and simplicity. The owner was very pleasant and I loved the downtown location for walking around the beautiful old city of Nantes! Like all reasonable boutique hotels, there was no lift, so you got good exercize, but not for an older person.
Very nice and hospitable staff! Very service minded, wanting to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Which indeed it was! Nice comfortable hotel with clean and nice rooms. Right in the middle of city center. Easy access to most everything in Nantes. No!
Very good, central location, easy walk to major attractions; helpful staff No croissants with breakfast!
The very friendly helpfulness of the owner was so welcome. And it's central location
It was convenient for the town centre, transport and castle
The staff were very nice and helpful. The only issue would be the ease of climbing into the shower if one had any mobility issues.
Cordiality of the stuff, its location in the old part of the town, room cosiness, proximity to the railway station Window sight to the roof of another building, too little day-light from the window
Owner very friendly and accommodating and appreciated our pigeon french! Room great VFM cosidering it had en suite and lots of space. So near all amenities. Just for older people the hike up the stairs would probabaly not work. In general no faults.
Staff - excellent; breakfast - very good. Some distance from Nantes centre, so taxis were required ranging from 17 to 26 euros. Alternatives are to walk (2 hours but pleasant) or bus then tram.
cleaning staff don't bother you and let you sleep till midday small beds
Friendly staff who were happy to help in any way that they could. Clean fresh room. Bed made every day. Would have liked to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, kettle, teabags, etc
Comfortable bed Location - by motorway. Lack of facilities
The owner of Hotel Aparte was extremely helpful and welcoming when we arrived and made every effort to try and speak to us in English, as none of us spoke a word of French. The room was clean and included free internet and there was ample room for three people including our medium sized bags. The breakfast was generous and well worth the money and at lasted till 10 am which was very convenient. The nicest thing of all was that when we had to book a taxi to go to a family house, the owner drove us there himself as it was a too close for a taxi to be called out.... that was unexpected and extremely kind..based on this I would say that if you are visiting Nantes, it would be an excellent idea to stay at Hotel Aparte. The location was a little out of the way, but since it was well connected by buses and trams it wasn't too much of a problem.
Really comfortable hotel. The staff were most helpfull. Good food in the restaurant. Plenty of parking. Would stay here again,
We arrived late expecting to go through the automated entry system but the man on reception had waited for us to arrive and presented us with all we needed for a very restful night. The hotel is clean and modern, the bed & room was very comfortable and beyond what we expected for a budget hotel. The breakfast was also very good value. Excellent value for money with very accommodating staff. Recommended. Sound proofing could be better, you could hear other guests arriving,
Manager very pleasant and helpful, regarding local knowledge again very helpful, the breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. Room was very clean and we slept very well on the double bed. Tea and Coffee facilities + TV, hotel is idea for over night or short stay (we stayed 3 days) or if you are touring area and not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. Excellent value for money. Room was basic for storage and our room was quite small but there were larger rooms available.
The friendly staff and ease of access to the Stadium
Friendliness of staff. Excellent breakfasts which was unexpected. Good parking and close to motorway Needed to ask for extra towel. Could have done with more pillows
The hotel was walking distance to all sights and shops including the Christmas market. Very pleasant staff, comfortable room, breakfast was good.Very comfy bed!!
Excellent central location, friendly staff, good value for money. good breakfast (although extra). Good for a cheap weekend break No facilities for drink i.e kettle in room. no hairdryer, very basic, mildew on roof of shower, very noisy outside and could hear it inside. No lounge. No bar
Superb breakfast. Excellent location although needs parking planning beforehand.
Good value, central hotel. Highly recommend.
The hotel was a great option for the price. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We were two backpackers who couldn't find a hostel in Nantes, and this almost just as cheap as some of our more expensive hostels elsewhere, but we had the luxury of being in a hotel. Great location and great bargain!
Bed a little uncomfortable and room looked a little tired (eg mould on shower ceiling)
Staff were very helpful, good location, good size room etc value for money.
It's very near to the center of the city Qualche problemuccio con le prese di corrente
Cheap and comfortable, staff were friendly. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what it was, there were hairs on the mattress.
Short drive to city centre and great value for money especially with free wireless internet Dark rooms
We stayed at this hotel as an overnight stay for an early flight from the airport. The location was good and there wasa restaurant nearby. However the room was unclean and because it was on the ground floor we could not leave the window open and therefore ventilation was poor. The photograph for this hotel on the website does not match the room which we stayed in. We have stayed at many budget hotels and have been satisfied with cleanliness and the hote toom but this hotel was of an inferior standard even for a very short overnight stay Cleanliness of the room and general state of the room
It was cheap Could not check in the first night because I never received the code. Very bad transport facilities - and almost impossible to get a taxi! Staff did not speak English!!
We tried to check-in while the office was not open but the automatic machine wouldn't work so we had to sit outside until someone arrived.
Ease of acess. Small window which only opened a little and so no air at night Room is small and hot so really needs some form of cooling qt night.
Apart from a job trying to find it due to a lot of roads being closed due to road updates. Not your fault I might add. Staff were very helpfull and obliging, the evening meal we ate just around the corner because you had meat only dishes on offer. Excellent breakfast choice. Very pleased will probably use you on way back to England in October. Thanks.
The staff were lovely and accommodating. The rooms were incredibly basic and very kitsch. Confortable and minimal but very cheap. The location was miles from anything except for the stadium which is about a 20 minute walk. The 1.5 hour walk home at midnight due to lack of taxis and trams was a bit of a problem.
very friendly atmosphere
Cheap Difficult to find, no signs, it is hidden behind a Formule 1 hotel and it's impossible to see it if you don't know. Very far from the Centre Ville.
A very early start to breakfast. Ideal for business travellers and sightseeres requiring an early start. Good, free parking facilities.
pleasant staff helped on info on transport to the city as we did not have a car. Felt more than 5km from Nantes centre! We are senior citizens and would like to have had more info on access to Nantes. The bus system closes at approx 8 or 9pm and we had no information readily available to get to the tram station. fortunately we are very mobile.
marine design of our room small parking lot
Sorry to say but not the best of the hotels we stayed in during our trip around France do not expect to have to hold shower head whilst trying to shower and some mould around poorly sealed bath edges
fair price, basic room. like any cheap hotel, you can easily hear people passing by in the corridor, but that's ok considering the price paid for one night.
Very helpful desk staff who coped with my limited French with helpful humour.
Wow!!! What can I say about this hotel? It's obviously only been built recently and judging by the few people who were staying, it is ridiculously under used and has not been 'discovered' yet. All the rooms appear to be 'apartment' rooms; air conditioned, fridge, cooker, separate toilet and bathroom and immaculately clean at a bargain price!!! Highly recommended! The only minor issue was that the restaurant in the hotel seems to shut during the French Summer holiday, which seemed a little weird, but I suspect this will probably change as the hotel becomes more well known. It wasn't an issue as there was a choice of a couple of restaurants about a 10 minute walk away. It wouldn't put me off staying at this fantastic hotel!
friendly staff, clean room quite difficult to find
Hotel is new therefore not everything was working. No WiFi connection in the room. Breakfast was rather modest. Price was excellent though so overall I would recommend lack of WiFi
Friendliness of the staff.
the equipment there are very nice
Quiet , clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff., free internet in room with good bandwidth. Still somehow "unfinished", no wifi in room.
I like a lot the hotel staff, even not speaking french so much, the communication was good and the room is really nice, confortable and clean. I went to Nantes for the first time and, as a visitor, I was expecting that the hotel location was more in the center of the city, or near it. Is not hard to get by bus or tram (the station is really close by walking and there´s a bus stop in the end of the hotel street), but it would be better, if don´t have a car/auto to stay in a central area. So my suggestion would be for the hotel, explain better about the location, so people can choose better if it´s the case.
The Staff were very friendly and most helpful. I was having 2 cateract operations at the nearby polyclinique so it made all the difference I can't think of any
It was very useful for us visiting Ikea Nothing
The comfort and good facilities as I was attending a wedding. Very helpful staff.
It was clean and conveniently situated near the tramway
Proximity of hotel to centre and all attractions, very near to tram line, and navi boat connection, very pleasant and helpful staff. Also very quiet, and clean. Could have done with more coat hangers! and a mirror in the bedroom, other than that no problem. But as they say, you pays your money and take your choice! so we knew it would be basic.
Excelleny & very helpful staff
Staff very friendly and helpfull. Hotel clean and tidy and very close to town center, ideal location. Very basic hotel, but at the same time it was good for what we paid.
Close to restaurants; able to walk around Small. The hotel was hard to find.
Its location, near to the centre. There is no elevator and the breakfast buffet is quite poor.
Good value for money but limited facilities See above
This hotel offered a good basic service with a super central location. On the plus side the beds are large and there is free off street parking. We will use it again. It does need some work though. The security roller blind kept falling down and had to be held up by tying a knot in the rope. Tiles were falling off the bath surround.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and very centrally located with everything in walking distance. Breakfast was simple but value for money. Shower fitment was broken making it a hand held shower in one of the rooms. One room had tea / coffee facilities and the other did not.
Close to restaurants and bars, parking on site, wi-fi available. Room was OK, public areas a bit jaded, breakfast good
Pretty much nothing...
The hotel staff were unfailingly approachable, helpful and warm. La Perouse is in an excellent location just a couple of minutes stroll from the charming old town and close to the "Commerce" tram hub. The hotel has strong "green" credentials. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable. The bathroom seemed slightly jaded, but this didn't detract from an enjoyable stay. Our abiding memory was of a smart, environmentally friendly hotel with outstanding staff.
(1) the servise in this Hotel is excellent, especially one of female staff.Sorry I did not know her name! Anyway I like the people and air in Nantes very much! I really enjoy it! (2) the location is much better than what I image. It is in the real center of Nantes city, close to shopping center and bars. (3) finally I will always miss you, Nantes!!!
Modern clean room. Good bedlinen pillows and towels and shower. Good central location. Helpful staff. Question safety access from bedroom in emergency.
the location hotel seems old fashion, small room, bathroom not very practical
The first night we were allocated a room which can best be described as small and just about adequate. When we returned 4 nights later we were allocated an "upgraded" room, at no additional cost, which was much better.
Personnel was really friendly and helpful. Room was spatious and clean. On my first day there was a live concert in front of my window (music festival that takes place once a year) until 2 am. They should have told me or at least have earplugs available. The wifi signal was weak and was blocking access to my email.
Central position Would have liked a showerbox in the bathroom
Staff so lovely and helpfull. breakfast lovely and put a spare bed in room for our daughter. Location perfect.
Convenience to city Poor breakfast
location noise, smell of paint, no showers, buffet breakfast not great.
very good value for money. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable.great dor visiting the Zenith or the Atlantis shopping complex difficult to find at first because 2 roads of a similar name are side by side!
staff very helpful and polite excellent breakfast a good place to stay for an overnight stop
The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was adequate and fresh and the bedsa were comfortable No ventilation in bedroom and non functioning air conditioning unit
Good for a stopover point, cheap, cheerful and clean. Big comfortable beds. Nearby there's a great family bowling/pizza place. No tea/coffee making facilities.
lean, modern, very helpful staff
Brand new hotel with very friendly staff. Hard to find with a GPS but it is worth it.
Excellent location: Zenith 1 minute's walk & Atlantis Shopping Center within walking distance (with unfortunately not very good restaurants). The hotel breakfast is great, with freshly squeezed citrus fruits at choice! Staff remembered us from last time and are professional and extremely helpful. Tea/coffee set in room!!! Underground parking at 10 EUR/night (recommended with big Zenith events) with lift direct to room. Lots of TV channels TNT + CNN + Eurosport etc. Top marks! In spite of quite spacy rooms and excellent showers with great turbo pressure, seperate wc; one little ick: The lack of wardrobe space (lacks drawers, easily accessible shelfspace, shoe-space) so I would not stay for a longer period of time, but then I imagine this is not the kind of clientele this hotel attracts. Still a great place for a business stopover, zenith visit, or hospitals.
Very convenient the Zenith Theatre and the shopping at the Atlantis shopping centre. Parking easy as well outside the hotel. Good breakfast. Pity there is no restaurant for an evening meal.
New and clean Location difficult to find as not on Sat Nav yet
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, modern desing furniture Grounds need attention
excellent room very quiet . good breakfast selection . secure parking a definite plus .
The room was clean, however the hotel is quite far away from the city centre. Far away from the city centre and if you use public transportation than you have to walk for 10 min. through sometimes deserted areas.
All staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast although normally a bit too expensive for our pocket! Nothing - absolutely perfect for our night out.
The swimming pool was very nice. The restaurant was good only the wine was very expencive. Very nice personal in the restaurant Room cleaning was no good. no coffee, milk and sugar every day in the room. Towels not clean every day had to go to the reception every day to ask for that. Rooms are very very small also the bathroom very small, small beds to small for the price per night!
Have stayed at this hotel several times when flying out of Nantes airport, hotel clean and comfortable in countryside surrounding with ample car parking on site. Hotel staff very helpful, good breakfast is available. Swimming pool and tennis available on site. There is a gourmet restaurant on the hotel site which is excellent, other eating places are to be found close by in Bouaye - n.b most restaurants, including one on hotel site, closed Sunday evening.
Especially like the pool and surroundings of the Hotel Romm was a little small with the extra bed for child
Pool Gate was closed at night without our being told
The lady we dealt with at reception was excellent.Nothing was a bother .She really went out of her way to show us around and sort a cot for our baby.
The pleasant relaxed atmosphere The addition of a charge for booking taxis into city centre as levied on the final bill, although a small amount surely this could be absorbed in a deal with a local firm as their charges are already quite high. This is even more relevant as the restaurant closes on Sunday evenings
Very clean and comfortable room with very affordable price. Only minutes drive to Nantes Airport even in morning rush hour. No.
Restaurant good, but expensive. See above - no cheaper option for food.
Room was excellent, gardens and pool lovely N/A
very helpful and kind staff, cleanliness, great restuarant, availibility of the swimming pool, discounted price
Nice location near the river. Nice hotel.
The surrounding grounds and river were lovely, with a number of pleasant walking trails.. Although our room was very efficiently designed, it was extremely small.
I think the staff were really helpful and the breakfast was terrific. It is nice to stay in an environmentally friendly hotel. The rooms are not adequately soundproofed. Not a place to stay if you would like a nice peaceful 'sleep in' - it is too noisy for that.
The room was excellent - comfortable and airy and well equipped. The location was lovely with a lake and walks close by. Parking was easy. Staff very friendly and effecient. The hotel staff recommend the goumet restaurant which is attached. Beware that it is appropriately priced for a gourmet restaurant! The nearest alternative is Nantes which after a long drive is not great.
A very nice and modern Hotel near Nantes, which is a real surprising young and inspiring city. Extremely nice lake and walking/running ways at the lake with old castle in front. We did not tried the restaurant as we went downtown (appr. 15 min. by car) but athmosphere and menue looked very impressive. none
Clean modern spacious room with tea/coffee making facilities. Very helpful english speaking staff. Nice location, short walk from a lovely river. Restaurant, in separate building, provided good, reasonably priced food. One of the photos in the hotel description was a little deceptive, showing a chateau which was quite some distance from the hotel on the far side of the river.
Lovely stay , staff very helpful and good information given about location and what was available in the area. The restaurant was very good and wife of chef very helpful to us, as she is English and was advising us on the menu. Nothing , perhaps the breakfast was a bit expensive considering location of hotel. One has no choice, due to the situation of the hotel , I consider the breakfast to be overpriced.
The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel was brand new, and the fittings & decor were very stylish.
The room was bright and pleasant. The bathroom fittings were modern and clean. The Resturaunt next door is excellent. At €14 the breakfast was overpriced.
The Staff were friendly and helpful. The Room and Bathroom were modern, clean and comfortable. Good stop-off position outside Nantes but a long way from the centre. Room was cold and we needed a heater. The underfloor heating was not working correctly. The lounge/restaurant/faciities/bar was dark and very uninspiring in January.
The staff was committed but not always efficient. Checkin was fast and friendyl, but it tok 15 minutes to get a receipt on checking out. and the breakfast is not buffet, you get served individually so when there are a few people in the restaurant room it takes time.
Clean shower which worked well. Good clear television set. Steep staircase. Appearance that there was lower value accomodation provided for "backpackers" in same building.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and the 24 hour reception was a big plus. Wi-Fi may have been available, but I couldn't access it. Some English TV stations would have been nice, but I enjoyed engaging with the French ones anyway.
very pretty rooms, the hotel is situated in the city center and close to the station
Very nice staff, hotel in a good central location. The room was excellent. The breakfast was poor.
Location (close from TGV station and center)
Comfortable, clean hotel in an ideal location for sightseeing in Nantes.
good localization and useful room design Poor breakfast, low speed wifi, hotel door which locked at night,
The room is very clean and there is a free wifi at the hotel. Also, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is a bit far from the tram station which is the best way to go anywhere in the town. Another thing is the breakfast, it costs euros but they have only bread, coffee, tea, orange juice and fruit for everyday.
proximity to city centre breakfast should have been included in daily price
