We stayed for one night at Hotel-Golf, the staff were exceptionally helpful, the room was extremely spacious and comfortable, the evening meal was well presented and delicious. We would recommend the Hotel-Golf to those who enjoy a Hotel experience of high standard, luxurious living and in a beautiful location with amazing views.
Your first view of the chateau is stunning. The grounds and the pool area were beautiful. When we first arrived the woman at reception did a wonderful job of introducing the amenities of the chateau. One night our air conditioning did not work and we had a difficult time sleeping. The next day we informed the management and they replaced the entire air conditioning unit.
Superb hotel amazing dinner the best we have ever eaten. Young Silva who worked in restaurant is a great credit to you. fabulous location, stunning çhateau, cannot wait to come back. Only regret was we only stayed 1 night next time will stay longer. very beautiful thank you very much. No everything was perfect.
lovely room, attractive chateau but rather expensive restaurant and breakfast extra. Although a lovely place to stay we would have preferred to have paid more with an exclusive breakfast.
Delightful locaton, staff very friendly and helpful and prepared to speak English. Ecellent food and free parking Main restaurant a little on the pricey side.Would have been nice to have breakfast included in the room price
Very atmospheric hotel in superb location, specially for visiting fabulous cathedral and museum at Autun. Also good secure parking for travellers with loaded cars.
The position in the ancient and picturesque town. The total peace and quiet of the rooms. The restaurant was excellent. The bathroom did not have a shower that you could use standing up!
classy, elegant, sevice good!
Family room for a good price Parking is 7 euros extra per night; Large variation in size and quality of suites for basically same price. If booked through hotels.com you get the smallest and oldest suite it seems
Nice view and comfortable room Very limited range of choice on restaurant menu, although the food was good, drinks were overpriced and they could not supply a Cafe creme.
Manager was helpful when radiator in our room wasn't working. Breakfast was good. Evening receptionist didn't want to understand that ,even though her computer said heating was on, we are intelligent enough to know whether or not there is heat!
the town of Autun the interior was unattractive
location in old historic building. Quiet location, niece views. small rooms with hardly any closet space. Old mattress. I would not recommend the restaurant.
The setting of the hotel in the beautiful old town of Autun near the magnificent cathederal. would love to stay at this hotel again. only the hand held shower ! The junior suite we had was lovely as was the views.
yes excellent hotel though breakfast was poor breakfast poor coffee very bad (for france)
Location, easy parking, quiet, lovely garden and nice staff. Rooms were average, not much character.
To stay in a chateau was a luxury for us.
Very pleasent accomodation in a superb environment. Hotel rooms were simple, but clean and good. Diner /Restaurant was great.
The chateau is beautiful and to have drinks on the terrace and to look over the grounds was lovely. The food was nothing special and was certainly the worst meal that we had during our 10 day stay in France.
It was a lovely building set in a very quiet peaceful location. It was convenient to the autoroute and close to where we were attending a wedding. There were no facilities in the room to make tea and coffee. Our room only had a shower and no bath. There was very little space in the bathroom for setting out toiletries. The tv had just three French speaking tv channels on offer.
views & quietness No tea making facilities in room; although more an observation than a dislike!
service in the restaurant was very good. nice grounds to walk around. We reserved the room and when we received a note from them we replied saying that it was our honeymoon - this was not mentioned at all or any effort to make us feel special. Soft furnishings and our bathroom in particular needed updating. We have lodged a complaint about the food to the hotel - we were ill for over 48 hours following the meal - and havent yet received a reply which is disappointing. We hope to hear something from them soon....
The hotel is a wonderful chateau with a superbe view to the garden area with all sorts of animals. The hotel has lovely rooms and you can spend a quiet night in it. We recommend the hotel but unfortunately not the restaurant. We didn`t like the dinner. The food wasn`t delicious and the price for it much to high. Besides we were the only guests in the restaurants!
Beautiful setting. Very slow service at dinner.
The shower needs a place to put soap during showering.Toilet lids are not cleaned underneath.
Wonderful accomodations and furnishings. Dinner very good but overpriced
The style of the hotel was excellent being charged 100 € for a plate of cheese, ham and bread. Without being told the price prior to the meal
The hotel felt luxurious throughout and despite being by a busy road in a town, it was quiet and relaxing. The food looked superb, but there was not really a menu option that allowed for a less expensive, lighter evening meal.
excellent food, wonderful garden,
View of garden was beautiful. Room was very inviting. Food was exceptional.
their facilities and service were very nice, and its price shows how good it is. I don't complain about the bill, but it was very costly. Everything is beautiful and made me satisfied.
The hotel is beautiful, the village it is in is nothing special but inside the hotel is like an oasis. Very secure parking (private garage), fantastic rooms - we were given a free upgrade because we were on honeymoon which was very nice. Hotel rooms are gorgeous - very French shabby chic. It is very expensive. One night's accommodation, with a snakc plus wine during the day and a meal in the restaurant on the evening - came to 705 euros - however it is a luxury hotel - so to be expected. We were seated alone in a separate restaurant - until we asked to be moved into the main restaurant - as it had no atmosphere.
The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The spa was extremely nice and the gardens were beautiful. Of course the hotel also has its famous restaurant Bernard Loiseau as well, though we didn't eat there. We thought the cold breakfast was very expensive. The rooms were nice in a rustic sort of way, but they could upgrade the bedspreads/curtains to something less reminiscent of a chain hotel. The village of Saulieu was not as nice as we expected - walking around at night there were unsavory characters drinking in the parking lots nearby the hotel. However, overall the hotel itself was nice and if I were in Saulieu again, I would stay there again.
Beautiful hotel garden, excellent staff and facilities
- wonderful restaurant and impressive wine list - reality as good as reputation - the friendliness and informality of the staff - excellent overall service - nice attention to detail to make guests feel especially welcome - attractive, peaceful gardens - elegant, understated decor and furnishings
We loved the location, people, and ease of hospitality Next time we would ask for a room facing the valley
very charming place. Highly recommended.
A truly beautiful house/mini-chateau, beautifully cared for by Marco and Tobias - truly wonderful hosts! The Enchanted Room was truly that with the most comfortable bed on our travels. Wonderful views and located in a sweet village, handy for the wine areas and Beaune. The public areas were so comfortable and relaxing too. Tobias and Marco were a great source of local information - nothing was too much trouble. Great to see that there was no TV in the bedroom - such a brave but oh so right decision! Although we didn't experience it ourselves, we believe their dinner nights are fabulous! Can't recommend this highly enough! Bathrobes please! Even if it only in the deluxe rooms!
I loved the relaxed atmosphere at Les Roches and the beautiful views from the terrace.
Absolutely beautiful building and surrounds, luxurious rooms, delicious food and friendly hosts. What more could we want, hope to return soon!
Stylish and quirky with a friendly atmosphere. Excellent dinner and wonderful countryside location. None
A most relaxing and comfortable hotel. Fire places were great and common areas and bedrooms really well decorated and quiet. Staff friendly. Good location to many little village and Beaune by car. Our bedroom and bathroom floors had grit on them and needed to be cleaned better. For such a lovely place with wonderful appointments we felt the girls at the front desk a little unprofessional in manner and dress
The hotel is in a very quit and peaceful location. The hotel is small and cosy.
The owners are very nice hosts. We only had a cheese diner on Sunday night but it was super. Nice location and downstair rooms like library and restaurant are lovely. Our hotelroom was not very clean and really needs some upgrading, just like the bathroom. 'The property is more like a mansion than a chateau. It's a pity that the couches in the library are full of dog hair, so it can't be used by guests.
The overall atmosphere, unobtrusive kindness and attention of both owners, very personalized service. Positive feeling which is very rare and difficult to describe was always present at Les Roches. Absolutely quiet surroundings, nice view, large garden - what can you wish more?
Nice size room for family of 5, it was clean and quiet. The hotel is a bit dated and expensive for what it is.
Reception staff very friendly. Very big room (ours overlooking field with horses). Big parking area. Smell when entering reception was of dog and / or smoking. Location not as expected. Hotel looked more like a truckers sleep over than a hotel, which was not what we expected. Once inside the room it was fine.
Excellent location, close to the Motorway. Very handy grill restaraunt next to hotel, where you receive discount. A little basic, however, great if you use this as a stopover for Alps or South of France.
The hotel was convenient, clean and the family room was fairly large. Breakfast was very good. We liked the dogs.
Rooms were large - double bed and a sofa that coverts to a bed
Close to main route, easy to find, lovely helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Would stay again if in that part of France.
Not much, it is need of a serious refurbishment
Spacious room size for the family nothing particular
very easy to park in front of the hotel and all the rooms on the ground floor was very agreable, also our familyroom was quite large
Freindly staff and good quality services in a very nice area . Ideal for motorcylcist touring Morvan or visiting circuit at Prenois ( Moto Legende)
Comfortable beds. Nice practical shower. Separate toilet. No hospitality tray. No cooked breakfast.
everything that a nights stay needs was provided..functional wish they had not placed wash basin outside the bathroom!! rooms floor carpet in danger of getting wet, and kids cannot sleep through parents brushing their teeth!!
Convienient hotel to stop at enroute. Clean and comfortable at affordable price. We booked a double room and a family room for three which was good for purpose
The staff were friendly, the location was right across from the train station and walking distance to the main area of the town. As well, parking was free and locked up at night. The room's were small, but clean quiet.
everything about our stay was excellent - from a warm welcome with queries quickly answered to attentive and helpful staff at meal times and excellent food.Breakfast was somewhat spartan but still worth the 5 Euros we paid.
The fact that it was an old railway hotel and pretty central to the town centre. The bathroom was nice. The long walk to our room. The lack of pillows. The lack of tea making facilities
Quaint atmosphere, most unusual toilet! Good restaurant in hotel next door.
The hotel offered reasonable facilities in a location on the edge of town. A little bit noisy with noise from the street.
we were on our way to germany and it was a convinient place to stay.
Position, room When we arrived the receptionist was on the telephone having what appeared to be a private conversation. We were kept waiting for around five minutes before he was able to acknowledge us.
It is directly across from the train station, the perfect location. There is no elevator, the only drawback. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant hotel, not deluxe, but a large, comfortable room. The owners are very helpful and friendly. I would go back. There is no elevator. Luckily, I was on the second floor, and not higher. The receptionist carried my suitcase up stairs, however.
Location. The room was reasonably clean, but in the toilet there was someone's poo. This is not acceptable. Also sewage smell from the bath room was not pleasent at all. Not too bad place for budget travelers if you are prepared to put up with some discomfort or if you stay at hotel only to sleep.
Clean, comfortable standard hotel. It offers us what we needed: rest after long way, clean bathroom, silence in the night.
simplicity of entry arrangements
Hotel was easy to find, room was clean and comfortable
Big parking place close to the hotel. Hotel in a quiet environment but close to city center. None
Only used it as an overnight stop
kitchen was closed after 22.00 hours
We were surprised that a fairly simple meal like croque- monsieur was not available when we needed something on our arrival. It was advertised on your menu. I would not have bothered to write but since you ask .......
pleasant situation unwelcoming staff, smell of damp masked by room freshener in room, tinned vegetables at meal, poor service in restaurant by dour member of staff. We stayed in a number of hotels from different groups during our holiday and only found Ibis disappointing. Would certainly not use Ibis again. This hotel was run down and shabby. Seemed uncared for.
Was a basic hotel. Rooms were cleaned every night. That was no fridge.
clean and comfortable with easy access from routes into town yet the town also very accessible no
The linen was clean and comfortable enough. Most of the staff was patient about having to open the door for me every time I returned to the room. It was tricky to pull the door in and somehow turn the key to the left... I had a hard time with it. I wanted a glass of red wine with dinner, the first night. They had only one bottle which had been opened already and stored cold. The temperature was shocking and it was pretty difficult to swallow. The next night I brought my own bottle and they were nice about lending me a corkscrew and a glass and bread to go with the cheese I ate in the room.
Good hotel, position and price The rooms face to a heavy traffic road.
Management was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for their guests. We highly recommend this hotel to your clients.
Staff had reserved car park just outside the entrance. Very helpful receptionist. Excellent location. The hotel has no car park of its own, but is very helpful in making sure that a space for your car is available in the public car park.
In every aspect this hotel is reasonably priced.
