Strange that a nearly empty restaurant was not willing or able to accommodate ten people at one table
Hospitality drinks at arrival were a nice gesture! Excellent food!
Peacefull, the hotel staff were amazing. The best service i've ever got from hotel staff. The dinner at res' altough it was cheap but the food wasn't so good.
breakfastbuffet very well assorted ,walk in the woods
great beds, great breakfast, lovely indoor pool
in the middle of the wood. very relaxing. Lazy sunday: check out at 5pm No fridge in the standard room. Night porter a bit slow
Good food, nice double bed
Swimminhgpool, sauna, breakfast, childrens room Parking lot pretty full, so needed to walk a biut more to the car (minor issue)
More a business hotel
Food, flexibility Bikes were all rented out
The environment and the location of the hotel. It is a charming hotel from the outside and the restaurant, lobby, bar etc. are nice. The room however was a disappointment. The room need to be updated, it looked a bit rundown, and needs more Love Care Tenderness. Good breakfast! Free parking! Breakfast/restaurant employees were friendly. We didn't like the room; it was outdated. The hotel looks nice and then the room was boring, outdated and actually small. When we arrived there was no one at the reception and we had to get the person out of the kitchen to check in, which was not really welcoming.
I liked the natural environment that was kept alive inside the hotel; it made the time spended very relaxed. It was a pity that the flower and plants weren't natural but arificial.
Beautiful setting. Friendly Staff. Good food
flexebility of the staff...
Peace and quiet! Champagne breakfast! We rather had a double bed, not two singles.
The accommodation was extremely basic. The only really good thing was the bed which was extrmely comfortable. Also the staff were absolutely lovely. Almost everything. The wardrobe in the family room was tiny with 4 hangers, no trouser press, no tea-making facility or any other tiny luxury you would expect in a 4 star hotel. For a 2 star I would say it was very good. For a 4 Star it must be the worst.
Once again "De Mallejan" met our expectations. Pleasant reception - Friendly service. Centrally located to see/visit a lot of places. Good quality restaurant. Nice terrace in front of the Hotel
We liked the room, very light and a good size, hotel very clean, staff very good, food very good, waitress service, excellent choice at breakfast. the shed for the cycles was too small, full by 3 in the afternoon,, shed not secure just a roof, not good enough for this class of hotel, the cost of the wine, 27-50e per bottle,we like wine, we like to have a bottle with our evening meal but we drank tap water, hotel should at least provide a reasonable house wine.
Location, reception, breakfast and dinner area, quiet location, facilities, swimming pool Although room was very clean there was a smell comming from the bathroom
The hotel room was large and clean, with both a shower and a bath, and good bed. the room was a bit noisy (with noise coming from other rooms, not outside as it is in a quiet area)
Service at the bar excellent.
very nice surroundings and beautiful garden, spacious room
Staff were proffesional, and the hotel was up to international 4-star standards.
My sister and I had arrange a special offer of half-board which was excellent value for money. Beautifully situated (conference) hotel with friendly staff, good food and plenty of separate areas to sit and relax - including the outdoor swimming pool. The staff were very friendly, but it was obvious for most days that there were not enough staff. So management could look at that.
The environment was fantastic The room only had windows in the roof and not cleaned to 4 star standard
I would like to know how much it would cost for 30 guests one meal on one night fir sat sun in july 2011
that it' s such a nice place to stay at.
great value for the money in a lovely, country environment. mediocre breakfast
Typical Dutch atmosphere. Quit Hotel. Breakfast OK.
Nice hotel with a good home feeling, at the border of beautiful nature. Good combination is possible for business and freetime.
Pleasant Hotel No
The price in combination with the location Rooms are very basic. They could/should be dressed up a little more in order to create a somewhat warmer atmosphere
In the woods, very quiet Restaurent is closed at 8 pm
Quiet and peacful
Peacefull place. Possibility to have very nice dinner on place. Very quite and nice environment (garden, forest, ...). Possibility to extend our stay
Breakfast buffet was good. Otherwise nothing special.
A lovely quiet location in a beautiful wooded area within 10 miles of the E30 Junction 18, an ideal first stop en route from the Hook van Holland ferry. The restaurant fare is in our opinion below the standard expected of a hotel of this type. Fortunately other restaurants are accessible in the area.
It's beuatifully situated! The staff is so friendly that I would love to come back just because of that :) It is faaaaar away in the woods which will cost you about 30 Euros to go to and from the nearest train station. Some more signs along the way would be useful. The taxi driver lady at 01:00 in the morning almost didn't find it.
The surrounding is marvelous, nice forrest. Rent a bike was free.Very nice bar and good café :-) Staff speaks english very well Expensive Internet access. Less tourist information papers in english language.
location dull in the evening, noone in the bar, even staff coms from "somewhere" when needed.
It is written on booking.com that internet is free but it's not!
good feeling and service from the staff, nice people and smiling people - room is ok, and breakfast is sufficient internet wifi access announced as free, but is payable - this is legally a breach of contract, in which booking.com is even responsible
Hotel is close to train station and other bars in the town. Limited staff so bar service slow.
