Viking Atla Information

About Viking Atla

Viking Atla is a beautiful river cruiser offering wonderful journeys along Europe’s second largest river – the Danube. Built in 2013, the 443-ft ship accommodates up to 190 guests in 95 staterooms all with river views. On the seven-night Romantic Danube tour, from Budapest to Nuremberg, guests have the chance to visit Budapest’s renowned Castle District and cross the famous Chain Bridge, celebrate Vienna’s musical heritage with a classical concert featuring the works of Mozart and Strauss, and admire the Benedictine monastery of Göttweig. There are medieval towns along the way, plus glorious grand cities and beautiful scenery, making a cruise along the “Blue Danube” an unforgettable experience. For a longer cruise, the 10-night Passage to Eastern Europe, from Bucharest to Budapest, explores the eastern Danube, once hidden behind the Iron Curtain. Accommodation on board the four-deck Viking Atla is top class. There are two Explorer Suites and seven Veranda Suites, as well as Veranda, French Balcony, and Standard Staterooms. Suites include a veranda off the living room and a French balcony in the bedroom. Flat-screen TVs with on-demand shows and films are provided. Alfresco dining is available on the Aquavit Terrace while a variety of cuisines, from local specialities to American classics, are served in the main restaurant, which has floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can enjoy panoramic views. Evening entertainment is offered every night, including performances from local musicians, dancers and singers. The sun deck provides 360-degree views and there are shaded sitting areas to escape the direct rays of the sun.
