i didn't enjoy the period i stayed there. The people who work there are very confusing ,because when i asked something for them, they always answer in a difficult way to understand. There are no accommodations for the disability people . The room that was created for these people isn't useful, because the bathtub is horrible to enter and my grandmother couldn't enter there. Also, the breakfast is horrible, it hasn't anything good there. I didn't enjoy any minute I spent in these hotel. It was a totally waste of time. AH, and how many elevators should we get to arrive at the room ? i lost the notion. many many,! And everyday they were broken, so my grandmother had to walk through the stairs. And the price? Too much for nothing. I wouldn't go back again to these hotel, waste of time
Price Wish we had a room with River view and balcony as there appeared were quite a few available.
The views and location. More services...gym...sauna etc..
A good and efficient 4*hotel .Would definitly use it again
Nice room and hotel, great breakfast. Vila Real is not so interesting place.
very nice and comfortable rooms, very kind and welcoming staff
location, view from room
Close enough to centre of town without noise. Pool good size and accessible. Staff helpful.
Very convenient for visiting Mateus Estate
The personnal service was 5 Star and the food was outstanding None !!!!!!
nice location, good concept, but missing the final touch the rooms reserved were not available, it does not mention that half of the rooms are practically interior rooms, games room without games, sitting room / library without light or heating, and as hotel was full, with bad weather guests are practically confined to their rooms
the room had no airconditioning. Since it was 34 degrees that was a big problem. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room faced a very noisy street. Dogs barking kept us awake. The reception tried to be helpful but no Engiish was spoken. Noise, uncomfortable bed.Problem of communication
Comfortable, clean and welcoming. Good buffet breakfast with homemade produce. Dinner not available but good-value restaurant nearby.
Friendly staff, location of the hotel, stylish big room with bathroom and interesting forniture, windows view and suprisingly quiet place (the hotel was in the centre of Boticas) Limited knowledge of staff English
This very small, family-owned and run hotel in the charming little town (pop. 1250) of Boticas is a real gem. Anyone who likes making new friends will absolutely love this place. The owners, José Moura and his wife Maria, are two of the most pleasant and likeable people I've ever met. They welcomed us into their home as if we were their best friends. They have lovingly enlarged and restored their 300-year-old family home to make it into a real gem of a hotel. The rooms are large and elegantly decorated. The town of Boticas is peaceful, quiet and totally relaxing. I hated having to leave.
The hotel staff was really nice, the room was big and the breakfast was wonderful. No parking
Staff were like family and they treated us as such. The casa was restored to perfection. We originally thought of the Casa as just a place to sleep. But it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire holiday.
The friendliness and the hospitaity of the owners it was a real pleasure to meet and have breakfast with Portugese people, always as ever very friendly. Very minor, off site car parking
Town in a mountain location. Only common language was French from the Spanish owner to the English guest - so some fun. Gave free use of his internet. Encouraged us to use his personal garage & facilities to wash / store our soft top car as hotel uses public car parking. Disappointed to find restaurant at hotel promising local specialities was closed. Restaurant within walking distance made up for this with friendliness in hand signals and generosity in nightcaps.
worm host, worm place. The feeling was like a family..
A quiet hotel, friendly family owners. Excellent breakfast, easy internet log-on. Good views. Small village. We enjoyed it for our overnight stay.
The convenient location and the swimming pool and garden. The owner is very charming and speaks various languages. The bathroom toilet seat was totally unusable, and the entire place is far too cluttered with rubbish, thus detracting from the grade 1 listed building.
The location is excelent, inside the walls of the town. The house is very cute and cozy. It is very difficult to find even with a detail map. We had to ask twice to different people in order to find it. The bed is little bit hard.
The owners are very friendly and always at your service. The owner of the house also has a very nice wine bar where you can taste some port, drink some wine and eat lunch.
