reception staff is perfect, kind and also helpfull it's more a business hotel than a vacation one. Far from the sea but it was just for a short trip. so our lease car, all was parfect. Just one thing, parking should be free and take care about the breakfast charge. Adult or children, it's the same price :-(
Rooms & bathrooms were very modern, clean & had good facilities. complimentary bath items always useful. plenty of space for storage etc.
Opposite to the railway station, and a ten minute walk to the city centre Airconditioning was hardly working
The cleanlines and comfort the noise fromthe cleaners early in the morning
Very cheap, considering the facilities. Right next to the main train station, nice staff, very modern room. Wireless internet was 6 Euro per hour.
Friendly staff and cleanliness of all areas. Excellent choice of items for breakfast. Having to pay for overnight car parking. Hot items at breakfast were mainly cold.
Excellent job handling bencassim festival. beds are not super comfortable.
The air-conditioning actually worked well, without being noisy.
Very close to the rail station
Superb Staff and excellent facilities
noise between rooms was too much
directions from your website to Hotel were not very good - very difficult to read street signs (some non existent) - took me 1 hour to get to Hotel due to 1 way street system from outskirts of Castellon
Very friendly and helpfull hotelstaff.
The hotel lobby is nice and the room was pleasant. No service in the lobby with the luggage, little smile, the restaurant food was not very good.
Very good located hotel in the center of beautiful town. Clean rooms with plenty of space. Very narrow parking difficult to get in and out.
Staff helpfulness, cleanliness of room, air conditioning, bathroom facilities, quietness of rooms.
I only stayed one night but the bed and pillows were very comfortable and it had a nice breakfast buffet.
privacy and silent
the rooms were a decent size and the bathrooms recently refurbished with excellent facilities the, food was poor - it was very mass-produced - even the orange juice was squash; it is next to the Marina D'or complex which has 3/4 and 5 star accommodation and the local restaurants seem to mirror this though the 3 star was again very poor for food.
very poor customer service and staff did not speak good English.
the room was good no room service...no bar...no coffee and tea facilities in bedroom...no mini bar ..
the rooms were very contemporary and luxurious and generally superior to what I had expected though efficient, the staff were not always entirely polite
the housekeepers were fantastic, the room was immaculate and cleaned everyday and fresh towels and bedding everyday also. The receptionists were helpful too and the location is great. I think the pool area was too small for the size of the hotel, we only found a space by the pool once, late afternoon. As the beach is so beautiful and close this is not a huge problem but could affect families.
Good facilities and attentive to cleanliness. Food has much improved since the year before. If going benicasim music festival then this is a good choice
The one redeeming factor was the only friendly barman, other than that it was a pretty disappointing stay. The staff were pretty unhelpful, the rules changed daily especially if you were British, there were some unruly people around the pool, but felt we were penalised for others bad behaviour! beds were really uncomfortable & unless you got a bed by the pool at 10am there wasn't enough to go round.
Unfortunately I did not like anything about this hotel. Large hotel, no character, desk staff gave impression that they had no time to serve clients and got rid of client as quickly as possible. Dining room staff very pleasant. Bathroom shower stall had mold in base. Hotel and breakfast poor quality for price paid.
Simple, clean and very well priced
Great breakfast and clean and modern rooms no English tv channels
location is great with a park opposite. lots of bars/cafes/tapas.etc nearby including a good one next door
It was modern and clean. The air conditioning was on a timer and was turned off at night so it was very uncomfortable.
Have to say that the staff were very nice and tried their best to make our stay pleasant The noise and the rooms were very basic with no extra pillows
cleanliness of the room!
The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the train station (which makes a day trip into Valencia very easy and inexpensive). It is directly across a major department store (El Cortes Ingles) and a beautiful park. The rest of the shopping and dinning area is about a 5-10 minute walk, which I would recommend taking through the park. The area is quite and safe. The room was a very spacious studio with a sofa, kitchen and small dining table. They have a restaurant downstairs with a nice dinner menu. The cost is not high and the portions are good, so well worth it. The hotel has a small elevator, so it does not fit much more than 2 people and a suitcase, so at certain times of the day you have to wait a bit.
poor continental breakfast no range of food
Friendly helpful staff in both the hotel and adjoining restaurant. Good location within easy reach of all services.
I guess it's a good hotel as a whole. A friendly staff at the res.desk. A had a two- room suite for 150..very well.I Valencia I would have only a simple room, but this is not a big city, so..) The problem was with the ironing not having been made in time (30 minutes for ironing two shirts with my reminding), and I was late for the meeting. And poor breakfast. But as a whole, the hotel is ok.
fast check-in, friendly room service, excellent breakfast the view
it was clean and airconditioned and that was its only good point the decor was very cold, the only restaurant menu was very poor and there was no other restaurants nearby.
The convenience to rail and bus and supermarket and walking distance to the old town area. Unable to work out TV . No instructions on how to use and how to get english subtitles
new hotel distance from room to hotel entrance
The staff were all very helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and contemporary. Our room was spacious. Secure underground parking was free. The breakfast buffet was better than average and well worth the 10 euros per person. The room rate of 50 euros for the night was terrific. We were just looking for a place to pull off the road on our trip to Southern Spain, and this was a perfect place to overnight.
Well placed for the railway station, first class room Some distance from town centre, noisy street outside
golf tournament the beds are too hard
El cuarto era excelente, y la atención también
A gorgeous hotel, very contemporary with high quality furnishings. Right next to the train station.
Its a decent hotel with excellent location just opposite castellon railway station. The restaurant menu needs to be improved in terms of variety. The price i paid during 5th Sept to 9th Sept is very high considering i booked at similar rate (Euro 100 per night double occupancy) in a 4 star property in big city like Barcelona.
Newly refurbished hotel rooms with very nice large bathrooms. Very comfortable in all aspects and would use again. Breakfast should be included as standard.
A very modern hotel in the centre of town. Very clean and free mini bar!
The location was perfect, at least for my needs, and that was the main reason for choosing this hotel, all of the other things were mostly good. the bed was a bit "overused", making sounds on almost every movement, but it wasn't the problem last time i was in the hotel
personnel,location breakfast too expensive
Wonderful location - next to the beach with a pool and poolside bar. Every comfort.
most pleasant no in room tea/coffee making facilities
Excellent location; very helful staff, good room.
The view, the staff was nice, the breakfast great
24 hrs open receptiondesk
Fully met our expectations
24 hrs reception,central position
I loved the location and the friendly staff at the reception. Also the breakfast was good and bar staff was nice. The views from the room were nice and it was a good atmosphere The hotel rooms were not cleaned properly, the floor was really dirty in the room and on th balcony. We had our 1 year old son with us and we couldnt allow him to go on the floor after he shower becasue it was so dusty. Hair from the previous visitors or the cleaner was left on the floor and in the bath, also on the toilet
Hotel next to the beach. The room was nice and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
I liked the fact the hotel was located very near to the beach front. 1.Before arriving I emailed the hotel with several questions regarding my stay. Even though me email was written in Spanish I did not receive a reply from the hotel. 2.On checking-in and entering my hotel room I found the floor to be very dirty! 3.My room was on the 5th floor and the balcony railings were frighteningly low. I would not recommend families with children to stay on this floor. 4.The day staff at the hotel were not very friendly. We were not greeted warmly on arrival and even when checking-out they did not thank us for staying, nor asked us for our experience of staying with them. And they all spoke English very well. However, the night staff on duty was more accommodating and he took time to talk to us and made us feel more we
Most of the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, some were really excellent and went out of their way to help. The hotel does not live up to its 5 star billing and the price of the rooms. The decor throughout the hotel is dated and needs modernising, and the rooms are not even close to what I would consider 5 star - the beds in particular are sub-standard. After 4 nights I had a sore back and I never have back problems. Also the shower was worse than my shower at home. Sure, the bath and pool complex is elaborate and obviously takes a lot of money to build and maintain, but this should be an added bonus at a hotel, not the main event - take the fact that the pools were largely deserted as evidence that most of the guests were off doing other things.
it was acceptable, not up to a 5* in my opinion more 3.5 -4*. ask for a sea veiw as the back overlooks a theme park and i could hear the chilldren screaming till about 11pm at night. i had my room changed and it was much better.
Spacious rooms 1. Heating not working. 2. No wireless internet in rooms, wall plug diffucult to find to connect cable. 3. Lots of facilities closed. 4. Parking not included in arragement. 5. Bathroom - shower/bath dangerous to get in and out.
the pool, room, location (near beach and waterpark). Buffet breakfast, close to restaurants.Staff were friendly and put on various activities during the day & night. No english speaking channels on tv.
the location, closness of tennis courts and the beach, nice swimming pool area the beds not comfortable, the floor was not cleaned under the beds for 3 nights, the cocoroach in the lobby at night
I like everything
Only the location Thae pool coses at 8:00 pm, Hello!! It's summer!!. The family room is a regular room with 4 beds together (barracs), the ac needs an up-grade, to small for the rooms. The room decoration and furniture nedds to be changed. Breakfast buffe, you better go out to town. not a four star hotel, maybe two.
When the children left on Sunday The noise was terrible
Location Value for money. Breakfast was poor
overall easy access to swimming pools and beaches. The hotel could possibly do with more elevators, as you can wait a considerate amount of time when it gets busy.
Excellent location for Benicassim music festival. 15 min walk from festival and 15 min walk from beach. Swimming pool and bar excellent. Wifi was terrible and AC in room was good but broke one night which meant sleeping was impossible. Tried breakfast a couple of times and it was poor. Hot food was cold and bread stale.
Buffet meals, near to beach, pool and patio Separation of 'regular' guests and the bus tour groups for meals - don't know why they did this on the second day
breakfast buffet rooms are old
Spacious layout of the accomodation, especially the separate door to the bedroom. Balcony and air conditioning very welcome. Streets were noisey outside (central location) and woodden floors inside with noisey footsteps. I slept with earplugs which is difficult for wake-up alarm.
Location, services Excepting the person from the reception...the stuff dose not speak English
Excellent value for money in a great location in the City Centre.Staff could not be faulted, the city itself is charming and people v. friendly with some good shops and a fairly new El Corte Ingles. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk to the bus stops for the Grau area with some good bar/restaurants and to Benicassim, well worth a visit.
The staff were very helpful, excellent food, rooms spotless, great facilities Very hard to find the hotel, spent 1 1/2 hrs driving around
The staff were really friendly and the room was very clean. I had a very comfortable stay at the hotel and would stay there again. Most of the rooms had a balcony and, having requested one, I was a bit disappointed to be in one of the few rooms without.
Very good hotel and the city itself. The personal in the hotel was very helpful. They helped to order a taxi remotely from the train station very late night
Rooms were comfortable, location was great, breakfast was very good, staff were helpfull the rooms and facilities were good, but not 4-star worthy (a little small, and old). didn´t try the gym/sauna facilities though.
The hotel was reasonable, however there was a champions league football match taking place locally at Villareal and so the room rates were hiked up. The previous evening we stayed at a much better hotel in Barcelona (Apolo Tryp) for 75% of the cost!!
Modern, comfortable, clean, helpful staff and generall a very nice place to stay!
The receptionist was very helpful. In our hotel search, we had requested a room for 2 adults, 3 children, and understood that an extra cot could be rolled in for free. However, that was not the case. The room could only accommodate 4. The receptionist allowed the third child, and provided the necessary blankets and pillows. He also recommended a couple of restaurants to us, as well as a plaza the children might find entertaininig.
A true four star hotel......very clean and good......staff very helpful.....price range affordable. Ideally located for shopping and restaurants.
Close to the centre The underground car park was pretty hairy to get into.
Exeptionally nice, clean hotel with friendly staff
This hotel is in the center of the city.
Helpfulness of the staff Directions to the hotel could have been better.
incredible value, nice room and bathroom, lovely breakfast
The ability of the staff to look after non spanish speaking visitors. The size of the room and tidiness of the hotel all over. The basement parking, essential in city centre.
Good locatioin and worth its 4 stars No
nice hotel, big rooms. they changed our room immediately after we complained about broken bed, so no problem at all. the city Castellon is totaly dead in august. go and try to find a hotel at the port of Castellon, where is at least some night life, restaurants and. The hotel itself was OK, besides the small capacity of restaurant/breakfast area.
nice room, big! verry good price. Well lokated in the center! Near busstop. Telefon in room was not working. Small TV, but who looks at it anyway...
Convenient private parking. Only slow WiFi internet on the ground floor.
Stopped off here on a road trip to Barcelona, Georgeous stylish hotel with an Itallian restaurant with brilliant service. Very modern, clean, spacious rooms. Only stayed one night as a stop off during a road trip, not sure if the location of the hotel would be suitable for a vacation
about the hotel itself, not much, it was an adequate place to spend the night, with a very cheap and nice restaurant downstairs the staff were at first a little pushy to clean the rooms, one morning they knocked and woke us up, despite the fact that the do not disturd sign was up. the rooms were a little bit small, but we never intended to spend the whole day in them, so it didn't really matter, oh and our air con was noisy (room 205), so at night we could either be kept up by the noise or the heat. it was very ovrepriced, during the week of the FIB festival, but all other hotels had also increased their rates, so i shall not hold this against them
nice tidy clean rooms, friendly staff and pleasant setting. very central but away from the drinking zone!!!
The hotel is located in the central of Castellon, Our room (224) was I think one of the biggest with 2 TV's and with a huge bathroom. The parking underneath the Hotel is a little tricky since it is very small. The (optional) breakfast is also quite good. We wanted to use the safe box, but the receptionist could not find the key. She asked to come down the next day. Next day there was still no key but then she offered us to change room, which we did not do we could live without it. The other thing is when we arrived the elevator did not work, but was fixed not much after I brought up all the luggages :) from -1 to +2.
very bad internet connection in foyer none in rooms very bad internet connection in foyer none in rooms
Good - Clean - Quiet hotel. Reasonbly easy to find but could be better signposted. Restuarant not open until 21.00 hrs. Many bars in city centre but few Restuarants
The lovely room and the air conditioning. It was nice to return to the hotel during the hottest part of the day for a siesta. The Catering staff were excellent especially on the night of the World Cup. they kept on serving and looking after the guest even though it was late at night. A bit noisy during the renovations on the second floor but it was not a huge problem.
Food and price Check-in was very bad. It is an automated system that relies on a reservation number which was not provided by the booking.com system
clean modern room no english speaking staff,no information in english.no access codes given to gain access to hotel on arrival,no key for room.this hotel is designed for 'romantic couples' not wishing to leave there room.
The room was clean and modern. The room service was reasonably priced If you don't go with your partner, it's a strange place to be. We selected it because of the good price and it beeing close to the highway where we passing. It's no turist or family hotel.
There was no social area. Food and Drink were availble by room service. Check in was strange. You have to ring the speaker phone to get a member of staff to admit you. Once in, you can't get out!! Bit like Hotel California - you can check out any time you like but you can never leave! Garage security excellent - access to rooms is via your garage. The staff were dressed in clinical white - more like a private clinic than hotel/motel! An experience we would not have missed - food and drink very reasonably priced. The staff speak no English and we only had a little Spanish but we managed ok. We had a great night.
Rooms were very clean. Minimalizm. Jacuzzi in each room. 42" tv, but no English channels. Good sound system. Illumination in the room. Nobody speaks English! Only Spanish! Be aware! The system doesn't work properly: the self check-in does not work, very strange system entering your room: no keys, no cards -only a button by the door. But it didn't work, I had to call the lady to open my room -so it's not safe,if you don't know, who will enter your room while you're away. No descriptions how to use the system of the hotel, however it's made very originally. The idea is good, the performance - Spanish. Hotel is outside of any village of city-commercial district. Not suitable for old people or people with children. One-night-stay - ok.
The Broadband facilities were only limited to the ground floor, I was on the first floor but unable to pick up a connection. I spent much time in the lobby area to enable me work.
The pool ambience once all the British campers (from FIB) were kicked out. On occasion the staff was straight out rude. Would expect more from a **** hotel. Would also expect the "extra mile" during the festival time, with offering a shuttle service to/from the train station. Especially considering Intur has several hotels in the area. Also, a somewhat foul smell of toilet in the room even with the bathroom door closed. Check the cooling circuits?
It was simply an overnight stop en rouye for Andalucia No
Good comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. Close to the sea and restaurants
1) Surrounding conditions E.G. green field and trees; 2) nice room; 3) dilicious breakfast and coffee. Internet was not available at the first day I stayed. Note that the map shown in the internet is not the same as real location.
Excellent Hotel Facility, looks like villa, very good restaurant, friendly stuff, good small park and swimming pool, located very calmly and in the same time close to the beach, very nice reception hall Room furniture rather old, not so classy in the bathroom, you notice that the hotel is renovated but not everywhere, my washbowl was almost stopped
Great position and the gardens.
Great value, quiet room, good location Parking sometimes difficult find a space, no laundry facilities
Was very close to the beach and had good restaurants in the neighbourhood The food was terrible even at Mac Donalds you get better service and better quality
Nice room, excellent buffet breakfast, lovely gardens, easy to reach from highway ... even our dogs liked this hotel and our dogs are very fussy! No negatives.
We found the hotel to be comfortable and enjoyed our stay. thank you
Room was comfortable which had a balcony with a nice view of the port. Parking was not a problem. Friendly staff.
Well located opposite marina with its bars and restaurants. Ambiance- quiet, businesslike. Well maintained rooms and facilities. No private parking, but plenty of public and on-street parking very close. Drop-off point on street in front of reception.
Having used the hotel around the same time each year for the last ten years we obviously are satisfied
Clen hotel, perfect location for my purposes Overpriced Internet and breakfast, no carage
We had a great room facing the port nice view. Staff friendly, helpful. Spoke English and French. Rooms very nice, modern, clean. Main entrance and breakfast room missing ambiance, would take little to put this downstairs area more attractive with a little color coordinated deco and attention. Miscellaneous pieces of furniture are distributed (dirty blue chair in front of beautiful tile mural. Overgrown plants in pots on stairs. Curtains do not hang straight in dining room, rather cold atmosphere, breakfast bar looks like an after thought, baby chair pushed up against the window. Vending machine pushed into a corner on upper level (not sure why this is needed, there are mini bars in rooms and and a supermarket+cafeteria around the corner). This place has a great view on the new port, and is in a very attractive older building. Lots of opportunity here!!!!
