Pros: The place is beautiful, very relaxed and the breakfast is a real plus. Very kind staff. I would defined recommend !
Cons: Everything was fine !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing! It’s the perfect, cosy, friendly place where you can feel like you’re the only ones there at times! The owners/ staff definitely make this place feel so welcoming and relaxing and nothing is too much trouble; offering lots of advice on where is best to go to even offering to nip to the local shops if you want anything, always super friendly! Me and my friends will definitely be back and we recommend this place to everyone we talk to!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. Carmen and George, are unbelievable hosts. If you are traveling with kids, definitely the place to stay. My two daughters loved not only the hotel but also the hosts!! Thanks for all!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super helpful, we slept so well, it was a little oasis and the breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff!! Good breakfest!
Cons: Location close to a highway
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were very nice.
Cons: Location, was right next to a busy road and the pictures made it seem otherwise
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally helpful and friendly people. Very clean, well-decorated room. Good breakfast with freshly cooked eggs. Location has pluses and minuses. It's on the fringe of town so access and parking are very easy, and there's a new, large supermarket only a minute's walk away. You can walk into town in 10 minutes. But the immediate surrounding area is a bit drab.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easily found, the Masia Ca La Caputxeta, fronted by the wonderful Carmen and was popular with many nationalities. Our room a budget double was clean, attended daily and had a very good bathroom. There was a wholesome Breakfast including three egg options. But it was the joyful atmosphere that made the difference to us.
Cons: A memory foam topper would have made our stay unbelievable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The main thing for us was the welcome we received from Georges, son of the house. He went out of his way to help us, giving us lifts on three separate occasions. A very friendly, warm atmosphere, home from home.
Cons: The property is out of the town of Castillo d'Empuries (a delightful place), so it would be better to have your own transport. We didn't have a car, so we're quite reliant on the kindness of the proprietor.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hospitality, cleanliness, quietness even though not far from a highway and a shopping center.
Cons: Really, really small room, we expected bigger for the price. It's not a complaint really.
Hostal La Florida - Llançà - Bedroom
2
9.3 Excellent (235 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Hostal La Florida is located in Llançà, on the Costa Brava. This property offers smart, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, a TV and a private bathroom. Set in a charming whitewashed building, the guest house has a garden with tables where you can relax with a drink. There is also a children's playground and a table tennis table in the garden. The nearest beach is a 15-minute walk from Hostal La Florida. The charming town of Cadaqués, home to Salvador Dalí's fascinating house-museum, is a 30-minute drive away, and you can drive to the main Dalí Museum in Figueres in just 20 minutes. The French border is also just 20 minutes' drive away.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Included breakfast was really nice.
Cons: The room did not look like in the pictures in the offer. The standard was lower than expected
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly, family run and welcoming. It was based in the ideal location for us to take the moto to explore the local beaches, calas and up and down the coast. Also great location for eating out in the old town or the port at night.
Cons: A little bit of noise entered from the street at night even with the windows closed but it’s such a relaxed town that by midnight there wasn’t really any noise anyway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great family run business in the centre of an old and pretty town. Excellent parking for our motorcycles. Family very friendly and efficient in all things.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly people. Pity they only speak Spanish and French. Lucky that the daughter speaks Englisch, that makes it a little easier to speak with them. Never the less the staff tries to understand what you want and are very helpful. In the town and in the harbour in Llanca are enough possibilities to have a good meal and drinks. The parking place is next to the hotel, private and good. Rooms and bed are good. Because the people are always around it's a safe place to stay and leave your luggage. No one will enter the hotel without them knowing.
Cons: it's in the middle of the town so there is some (speaking) noise during the day and early night so don't expect a very silent surrounding. For us, it wasn't a problem. it's just the Spanish way of living.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfasts and lovely garden
8.3 Excellent
Pros: central location in the Vila.
Cons: bar facility uninviting
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spottes clean, super friendly and helpful owners
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Me and my girlfriend fell in love with this place while traveling up the costa brava. Owners were genuine, accommodating, and made our stay feel like a home away from home. Also had a great breakfast each morning with everything you need to start your day. Nothing bad to say about this place, highly recommended for the value, location, and great staff!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just superb! Anna is the perfect hostess. You can see it from every move and smile that she loves what she is doing. Restaurant is absolutely must. We stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed every minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about Casa Clara! Our room was nice, clean and had a nice view from the third floor. The staff was friendly, and especially the manager (she seemed like one, not sure) was wonderful and made us feel comfortable in every way. We thought that going to a hotel restaurant for dinner would be the easy but boring thing to do, but they served wines from the area, local meat and tasty vegan choices as well. Everything we ate was really good! The town itself is a beautiful place and has so much more character than the beach spots close by. I fully recommend going for a visit!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Very friendly staff and managment The Food in the restaurant is 5***********. ANY TIME AGAIN WE WOULD BOOK. IF WE LIVED NEAR WE WOULD VISIT THE RESTAURANT MORE OFTEN
Cons: NOTHING COULD BE BETTER AS WHAT WE HAD
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is an atmospheric, cosy B&B in a beautiful authentic village. Hostess Anna is very sweet, kind, social and shows interest and time for her guests. She does her work with passion and enjoyment and you can see this back in everything. The beakfeast was perfect, made with patience and more than enough. I will definetly be coming back! Thanks dear Anna!
Cons: Nothing, and if I have to name anything then it would be that the street is a little bit noisy because it is so small. However there is almost no traffic passing through.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very big, confortable and super cleaned. The breakfast was very tasty with sweet and salt option. Staff very gentle, everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very special place. We loved it very much. The room was very cosy, nice and clean, so was the bathroom. The view from our window was unforgettible. The breakfast was very good and tasty - you could eat yourself full (ham, croissants, coffee, jams, fruit). The hostess is also very helpful and hospitable. There is free parking nearby and very nice lounge bar just opposite the hotel.
Cons: nothing bad
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive and flexible with our check-in even though we arrived later. Check out was very easy too. Very cozy and warm environment in the house. Waking up hearing birds singing was awesome. We will come back for sure! Thank you all, especialy to Ina!
Cons: Nothing :)

Hotel de la Moneda - Castelló d'Empúries - Building
5
9.2 Excellent (329 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Situated in the Jewish Quarter of Castelló d’Empúries, this mansion dating from the 18th century is a unique place to stay on the Costa Brava. The building has been restored maintaining the original architectural elements of the era and is considered a historical monument. All the spaces in the hotel have been designed to offer maximum comfort and relaxation, such as the magnificent terrace with a swimming pool and the reading room. Set in a very privileged location in the historical old town, you can go on a range of excursions and cultural visits, near the best beaches and Dalí triangle.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and helpful advice about visiting the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service and breakfast were tops
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location, lovely room, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. We were very warmly welcomed and nothing was too trouble for the lovely lady who greeted us, we were there for a wedding and she sorted our taxi for us. We had a very early start the next day and she put a beautiful tray of delicious breakfast items in our room for us to enjoy before we left. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, we will definitely return and for a much longer stay next time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room in lovely location in old town. Excellent hosts and good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and base for our cycling holiday
6.8 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Room / Breakfast and Service was not of a 4****.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I wish every hotel experience could be like this one. Impeccable cleanliness (rooms cleaned and then "tidied up" a second time each day), phenomenal breakfast with every possible food item, as well as cooked to order eggs and omelettes). The women who run the hotel are fantastic hosts-they anticipated every need (like when we casually mentioned wanted to visit a nearby restaurant, she took the initiative to call to confirm that we would in fact need a reservation). Our visit was quite rainy so we didn't use the pool, but although small, the patio looked to be a lovely place to hang out. When we mentioned that we had to leave before breakfast hours, they kindly placed muffins, yogurt, fruit and yogurt in our room the night before. Beautiful structure, located in a charming and quiet village with a great medieval museum, it was perfect home base for exploring Girona, Cadeques and the ruins of Empuries. I cannot recommend Hotel de la Moneda highly enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were truly looked after, nothing was too much trouble, life was made easy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly staff , all very helpful , quiet location with lot of good locations , we had the pool to ourselves
Cons: tricky drive up , only one way in and out , so if you get it wrong you are lost in narrow roads . Read the hotel instructions beforehand and follow to the letter
Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf - Peralada - Bedroom

Located in Perelada, Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Golf Club Peralada and Peralada Castle. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious - and quiet
Cons: Flies on the food, bad to very bad restaurant service, Bathtub parts falling out- toilet hidden behind a curtain(?) But truly ,what makes or breaks a hotel is the service.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are quite comfortable even though on the tiny side; the gardens and the green around the hotel are nicely cared;
Cons: The spa is nicely designed but the equipment was nor working properly (the hammam was disconnected and half of the jets in the jacuzzi were not working); breakfast was a mess: too many customers and very few staff.
5.5 Okay
Cons: The pool area is closed for winter (they are doing some work and it's just a big crater), it's a shame not to be able to enjoy the sun on a longchair, the sun is warm enough in Catalonia to enjoy all year round. This should be specified during booking as there is not much to do if you are not golfing...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine except for the below
Cons: No boots stick, no boots brush
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The greeting and efficiency on arrival. The impecable room + large, well equipped bathroom. The excellent dinner served to us in the restaurant + the most comfortable sleep in ages!
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice warm pool, not to much people, good food
Cons: Some fake friendly staff, especially at reception. In case you really have a problem, eg a car blocking yours, they do not care and tell you they cannot help. Overall overpriced, good 4 star hotel ( and not 5)
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was very nice. The medieval convent and the castle are very beautiful! Perfect place to disconnect and relax!!
Cons: The room was not clean at all. There were a lot of hairs on the floor, and for the price that we paid (260€ a night) it should be all well cleaned. They have to be careful with this matter because the customers are paying for a 5 star hotel... they should have as well welcome drinks (bottle of water) available in the room... I think in 21st century and regarding all the hotels that I’ve been, is essencial and costs them nothing. We had as well an option that we could book via booking a large bed. When we booked they send us an email saying that the option was no longer available so if we still wanted a large bed we had to pay an extra 20€. We think that this not correct, because is not clients fault! Its not for the 20€... but a 5 star hotel made you an upgrade and apology’s for the mistake for free! We call this “attention with the client”... for these reasons we think that the price paid is overwhelmed... if they want to have the same prices as hotel majestic or even hotel arts in Barcelona, at least they should have a similar or even better service!! I hope you improve this small things...
9.5 Excellent
Cons: noting

Pros: Beautiful venue with spacious bathroom. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very chill and pleasant atmosphere

Hotel Spa Vilamont - Garriguella - Building

Located in Garriguella, Hotel Spa Vilamont is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Golf Club Peralada and Peralada Castle. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Planning an event in Garriguella? This hotel has facilities measuring 430 square feet (40 square meters), including a meeting room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and chilled our wine for us. Great breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: In decades of traveling, I don't think I've meet a more gracious and welcoming hotelier than Madame Teresa. She was a simply extraordinary host. I don't want to embarrass her by elaborating everything she did for me, but suffice it to say I felt like I was staying with a family, not in a hotel. Breakfast buffet was impressive, and the town is so tiny you can walk everywhere in minutes. So it was super-useful that the hotel had the actual menus from all the restaurants in town. It made it very easy to decide where to eat. Super-relaxing tiny village; easy to get to Figueres from here
Cons: Not really a problem, but a tip for other travelers: if you want spa treatments, best to order them before you arrive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was charming, helpful and did her best to enhance our stay. . The breakfast was above average and had plenty of fresh products on offer as opposed to the usual factory wrapped items; a nice plus. The location allowed easy access to seeing the region provided that one had a car. It's a quiet village and there's lots of parking.
Cons: The subdued lightening in the room didn't make for easy reading. More lightening would be helpful.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The staff was rude with us, being honest i do not like that people yell at me for this reason we decided to left the hotel 2 nights before as we didn't want to stay anymore.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So good
Cons: Good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great place to unwind and relax
Cons: Little secluded need a car for sure
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored property in lovely quiet village - nice restaurant nearby.
Cons: Pool, tub and sauna were ~€10 extra - each. Even more surprised when they tried to charge us €6 more on checkout for two silly little swimming caps that we thought were part of the €10 the night before. Never, ever been charged extra to use the pool in a hotel in 50 years of staying in hotels all over the world. The hats just put the cap on it. Pun intended
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The welcome, the breakfast, the spa was excellent.
Cons: It miss a garbage in the room. And the TV is not big and centered...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The wonderful welcome & service of the staff .
Cons: No hanging space for top coats
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Visiting was like stepping into another world. The quiet and quaintness of a small village on the edge of the mountains, whilst still being within easy driving distance of the beach. The village was small but friendly, with a number of restaurants, bank, shop to choose from. The hotel was family run and very friendly, nothing too much trouble, just ask. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and well laid out, with everything you may need, including complimentary robes and slippers, for the spa. The bathroom was slightly on the small side but more than adequate. Our room also had a room top terrace, which was a great sun trap. Breakfast was super, with a great choice of fresh fruit, yogurt, meat, breads, jams, cake, and with the choice of a freshly cooked hot choice of bacon, eggs etc. The family were welcoming from the moment you stepped into the hotel, they spoke some English, and French but its a great place to stay if you want to practice the language. The spa area, and hotel was well situated and created with a great deal of empathy for the buildings history and age. A perfect stay.
Cons: Tea/Coffee facilities in the room would have been a bonus.

Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts. Cleanliness.the nice pool. Peaceful.Close to Figueres and other places of interest. Excellent breakfast and priceworthy dinner.
Cons: The heat wave made the room very hot and sleep was not very good ( no air conditioning.,just a fan ). Access : GPS does not know the place and one should input the name of another village close by ( Proret or something similar )
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - lovely and helpful staff - great location close to Cadaques and roses without being around the mass of tourists but must have a car to be able to get around - pool was nice - breakfast was great
Cons: - more suited potentially for families as the rooms are quite close and you can hear everything - no soap in the bathrooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place to stay, if you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful and friendly place
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. You all sit together with other guests and this makes for interesting conversation plus we found friends for my daughter. The pool was an excellent size and it was immaculately clean all the time. We had a brilliant stay and can’t fault Can bastons
Cons: The room was very hot- there needs to be air conditioning. Also a little fridge would be useful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family friendly , quiet and relaxed accomodation in a rural location, ideally positioned for us to easily visit places of interest in the Dali triangle ! We especially enjoyed the generous breakfast, served at a long communal dining table .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The pool fantastic. The hosts were delightful. They provided a very nice evening meal at a very good price. The breakfast excellent.

Cons: The location, a bit far from beaches. No fridge or safe in room. Air conditioning switched off during the night, so difficult to sleep through. Pros: Swimming pool and breakfast area were truly excellent. Stunning views at breakfast. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very new and clean.

Pros: Great place to stay and they were accommodating with our bicycles.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, cozy hotel - I got recently renovated room with good air-conditioning while my friend got an older with not that well-functional air-conditioning. Excellent personnel, very nice and helpful Pool located in another building but that was ok, made the hotel a bit more peaceful Town was small and lovely, but not much to do in the evenings

Pros: I can only recommend to stay at Masvivent if you are looking for some relaxation and a very personalized service. I loved the romantic dinner at the terrace which can be arranged. The service and the quality of food was impeccable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautifully renovated building, the room, the location (great views over the Alt Emporda, quiet surroundings but with many wineries and historical towns and the coast around the corner) as well as the breakfast all exceeded our expectations. But most of all, we really enjoyed the warm welcome and treatment received from Xavi, Montse and Olga. We will certainly be coming back!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was extraordinary with a fabulous view in a really interesting accommodation. Front of house Mark was extremely polite and helpful.
Cons: No downside
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and friendly people, beautiful place, good beds, very quiet environment, excellent breakfast. It is a place to relax, to enjoy nature and to rest. The dinner, which you need to reserve, is wonderful: made of fresh, high quality ingredients. The wine made in this area is also great. The Dali museum in Figueres can be easily visited from here.
Cons: For people who like to be entertained, this is not the place. Besides hiking, reading and relaxing there is not that much to do, but we liked it because of that.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible views from our room and breakfast area, modern style rooms in an ancient farmhouse. Very high service from Mark the hotel manager who’s eager to please. Very quiet surroundings. We would definitely go here again.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is wonderful, a modern minimalist design with some of the old building mixed in, set in at very peaceful location. Beautifully simple rooms, comfortable quality beds, very modern and interesting designed en suite. The dinner was delicious and well presented. But not just good food, we really appreciated Monce and Xavi cooking a 5 course meal just for the two of us. A lot of effort and it was a memorable experience, we felt very spoilt and it was much appreciated. Breakfast was a feast of Spanish meats, cheeses plus other choices. The website description is accurate but it can not describe how warm and thoughtful both Monce and Xavi are, such excellent hosts. We can not speak Spanish and their English is not good but we managed as one does. By the way, Xavi makes a very good gin and tonic, to be recommended. Sent from my iPad Sent from my iPad

Pros: Great area: the hotel has wonderful views and is a delightful and comfortable mix of old farmhouse and contemporary design. The staff were utterly welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. The nearby beaches are clean and safe and Figueres is a proper town with a great market and the Dali museum. If you like hiking, this area is fabulous. The combination of mountains and sea is unbeatable.

Pros: Quiet property, very simple yet nice accomodations.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly owners. close to good restaurant and Tapas bar. Good breakfast. Good value.
Cons: Courtyard dark and overgrown so couldn't open shutters easily. Needed fly screens as mosquitoes from nearby river. Parking not easy on Saturdays. Lounge communal with owners. No mini bar in one of the rooms. Price for single and double the same.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is amazing as I am originally from Catalonia and I know the town from my childhood . The interior courtyard is beautiful and in summer must be so nice as loads of plants and flowers grow up and bloom. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: The hotel is beautiful but they need to do some work on it as there is a very thin line between old/historic building and not taken care of. The metal crosses on top of the bed heads are a little bit "creepy" and you could hear the people in next door bedroom speaking and noises . Bathroom is not well ventilated and the curtains in shower should be replaced by glass as they are not comfortable . Bedroom was very small for 2 people.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a very good location but at this time of the year the village was very quiet

Pros: The location was nice and the receptionist was friendly but the room was not nice.
Cons: The room was almost on subterranean level, so the only view from the room where the LEGS OF THE PEOPOLE PASSING BY. 9.3 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here before. There is ample car parking, a bar, restaurant, swimming pool and lift. The beds are comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the food good value for money. Cons: Noise from the road, Shower needs to be updated, water pressure was low.
9.3 Excellent
