Pros: Breakfast was fresh and good. The pool was just right and the owners/staff were very friendly. An excellent hotel for travellers and also for those wanting to explore the historic area of Jaen.
Pros: We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the Hotel Palacio del Intendente and it was in an excellent position for a stop over on our way back to Ciudad Real Airport being only 5 mins off the main A4 motorway. The reception staff made us feel very welcome and did everythning they could to make our stay enjoyable. The Hotel is a beautiful building which is very well cared for and we appreciaed the lovely surroundings.
Pros: The hotel is a renovation project that took 3 years to complete to an extremely high standard. Therefore, as you would expect from such a project, the hotel is charming and spotless. It is positioned in the center of a charming village with a tapas/restuarant bar, chemist, 2 banks, supermarket and bakery within 100m. There is plenty of parking just outside the hotel on the main street. The hotel owners (Luis Miguel and Juana María) are particularly welcoming and will do anything to please their guests. Most people use the hotel as a stopover as it is just off the main Madrid-Seville motorway, however it is also a great place to stay to enjoy the local white villages and spectacular scenary in the national parks. Highly recommended.
Cons: It is not possible to fault the hotel and the levels of service.
Pros: A real taste of Spain located just off the main route through Spain , Ideal for a stop over. Very comfortable and clean.
Pros: The hotel owner and his wife were helpful and very welcoming. The hotel itself is immaculately clean, newly renovated and decorated and has a real wow factor for such a small, inexpensive place - the lighting in the communal areas in particular is subtle and helps to create a warm atmosphere. The hotel has a contemporary design in an old building whilst still maintaining traditional values and charm.. It is well placed for the main (A4?) motorway and represented excellent value for money in an interesting part of Spain. We only stayed for one night but would have liked to have had more time to explore the surrounding area. We will definitely go back and have already recommened it to others.

In the village of Begijar I discovered the perfect house with its Andalusian patio in a quiet neighborhood in the old part of the village. To cut a long story short: the house and studio is where the painter has produced some very significant works and is now a place to stay. Its comfortable English atmosphere makes the house museum unique.I invite everybody to enjoy the house, culture here and what the surroundings have to offer.Casa Rural or Holiday House “Señorio de Beaza” was created as a place to relax in an atmosphere “good old classic decoration” functional and practical, above all comfortable. It is found in the center of the world’s largest man made forest and not far from the emblamatic towns of Ubeda-Baeza, Granada and Cordoba. In general the house is comfortable all year round. The house has about 200 m2, which is made up the main suite, the double bedroom with its own bathroom which are upstairs then downstairs is the single bedded suite, the living area and kitchen which lead on to the garden and pool. The gallery is a long passage packed with items of interest concerning the painter; Antonio Montiel. There are areas for the wood, drying and washing of clothes. At the other end of the patio is the office. The house has air conditioning and heating units. The main suite and ground floor is heated by a huge wood burning stove as well. (There is a sofa bed and an escaño, in the old days the village people used this bench as a double bed. (It its fine for a normal sized adult).
