Pros: A very friendly host made you feel at home! We were offered a drying place for towels and space in the fridge for our birthday cakes. And a delicious breakfast was served for us.

Pros: Very attentive, thoughtful and helpful hosts. They made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The homemade bread for breakfast was very tasty. We were also very grateful for the shuttle service to and from the airport.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was excellent.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very friendly! We arrived very late but this was not a problem for him.
Cons: It's not that easy to find the place at night. And something that is very important to me (but not to most) since I am very allergic to dust mites is the use of old fashioned blankets. This is still the case here. The place was very clean but the blankets are a wonderful home to dust mites, however clean they are.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host is a wonderful person, very kind and understanding and helpful
10.0 Excellent

La Casona de Faedo - Cudillero - Building
7
9.1 Excellent (156 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Old typical house in the countryside. Lovely hosts. Wish we could have stayed longer!
7.5 Good
Pros: The owners of the house very honest, kind and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were awesome. The landscapes incredible.
Cons: The floor and walls are thin as we listened the neighbors upstairs and people in the corridor and stairs. It's ad as semi-luxe but it's not the case : no ammenities nor big towels
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room was so spacious, way bigger than expected! Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was tasty.
Cons: The WiFi wasn't the greatest - but that's likely because of the location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse is in a beautiful remote rural location inland from the Asturias coastline. The surrounding countryside is stunning. The house is immaculate. The evening meal (X2) was fantastic. The hosts are delightful. The room was huge and great to have inter connecting rooms for our family (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 months and 3 years). There isn't a lot to do other than walking (which is beautiful) so you would need your own transport. Would be a fantastic stop on a cycling holiday.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything room was perfect, so individual and beautiful decor. Had a meal there on 2nd night it was wonderful. Breakfast well worth the money but too much food for us served on platters to your table, too much for us in a morning, big appetite you would love it

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Traditional style hotel but very comfortable and well maintained. Fabulous food. Very friendly and helpful staff.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast is amazing.
Cons: The hotel just have stairs and no lift at all. I had stated that I had a baby when I did the booking, but my bedroom was placed in the second highest floor (2nd) of the hotel. I had to move the baby stroller 2 floors up and down many times during my stay there. On the other hand, the food is really expensive and it doesn't worth that money.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were greated with a huge smile 1 hr before check in. The gentleman carried my backpack and walked us to our room. He explained the door locks, breakfast, checkout and a beautiful coastal walk out of town. Food and cider were excellent. Staff was just superb.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great host, excellent Camino modification to include some beach walking that you won't forget, excellent meals.
Cons: There wasn't any thing that I didn't like. I'm walking the Camino so as far as seeing beautiful vistas and adapting your Camino to include an awesome walk along Playa de Aguilar this is the spot. One caution; you are away from any other services and if you are on a budget... Just be warned this is an extravagance. I wouldn't trade my stay or my meals they were excellent. But I will be eating cheese sandwiches for a few days to help make up for it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant hotel with good views to the surrounding countryside and hills. Very helpful staff. We dined in the conservatory which was spacious and comfotable.
Cons: No soap in the room. I was surprised by this. Wife not working in the bedroom

9.6 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely hotel. I did not expect the hotel to be as it is and it reminded me of how hotels used to be. A former religious sanctuary and orphanage the building is delightful. I had made a mistake with the booking which only became apparent at check in, but the matter was dealt with swiftly and without fuss by the very efficient and friendly receptionist who graciously supported me with my less than perfect Spanish and resisted the temptation to break into English. Thank you. When we entered our allotted room, however, it held a very strong smell of smoke. On return to reception I was gratified that the response of the receptionist was not simply generic, as she was genuinely annoyed that a previous guest could so crassly contravene the rules in her hotel. She quickly changed our room and gave us an upgrade for our trouble. The location is wonderful overlooking the surrounding countryside and Nalón river. The restaurant is surprisingly good and affordable although reservations are suggested. We did not have one and were lucky to find a table. The food quality and service was very good and wine list was excellent. We usually eschew hotel restaurants but this was a notable exception. Worth a visit even if not a guest but make a reservation. If we are in the area again we will stay longer.
Cons: I think they had forgotten to vacuum the floor as it was a bit dusty. Also the Wifi was a bit slow and the signal is a bit weak. However, this is an old stone hotel and not conducive to WiFi. Other than these, which are minor, I could not fault the place. I am always pleased to be pleasantly surprised.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing, the bath was amazing. After a day on the cycle it was a godsend. Loved my stay there.
7.5 Good
Pros: The spa was very good, however only in the late afternoon.
Cons: Several places in the room were not clean at all. Reception was advised.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and bed were very comfortable. I enjoyed the lounge. We relaxed in the spa, enjoyed dinner. Breakfast was a good buffet with cheeses, meats, bacon and eggs. Croissant and different bread for toast. A variety of fresh fruit, yogurt and juices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old fashioned building on hilltop with excellent views. Nice inside atrium.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very majestic hotel. Room was fabulous and clean. Bathroom was large with wonderful water pressure. Hotel staff were helpful and perfect spot on the Camino trail.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location and nice staff.
Cons: Very dark without any ambient lights so scary and depressing. Instead lights ONLY ever came on as you walked and triggered them. Until precisely 7:30 a.m. the breakfast room was LOCKED so it was not possible even to obtain a cup of coffee or water. Some guests have a plane to catch so options should be made available. For example, having coffee/water/tea available in the lobby, perhaps early breakfast pastries available for early flights. All would be guest friendly and appreciated. Could not find any outdoor patio or space to relax.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly staff
7.9 Good
Pros: The owner is charming and the breakfast was on point
Cons: The decor was old, needs some redecorating. The bathroom was clean but old looking, maybe they should change their toilets and sinks and showers already. The biggest thing for us was that it really needs more ventilation. It's a very humid area and the humidity in the rooms was way too high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable room very close to downtown Cudillero. The Manager Prudence was very warm and welcoming. Nice bathroom. Good Wifi. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff member (just the one) was very friendly and accommodating, advising on restaurants at the port and writing down the names for us. The basic rooms and facilities were as clean as they could be - so have to acknowledge they are doing the best with what they have.
Cons: Pretty basic hotel, but reflected in the price. Aside from the restaurants at the port - I can't say that Cudillero has a lot to offer the average tourist. Lots of properties either boarded up or for sale - the coastal town they forgot to close down!

Pros: Location was superb, staff was helpful and money we’ll spend I’d say. Room was okay.
Cons: Bed was little bit uncomfortable,

8.3 Excellent
Pros: This really is a beautiful old cottage/barn that has been developed with a traditional style, Patricia was a brilliant host, the place is a little out of the way, with the closest town being Cudillero, about a 10 minute drive from Rellayo.
Cons: Just location is a little isolated
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The home is lovingly maintained with original furniture and beautiful woodwork. Delicious and ample breakfast that goes beyond the simple Continental breakfast menu. Safe and convenient parking. Easy drive to Cudillero. Host was friendly and attentive.
Cons: The price is a little higher than other Casas Rurales, probably because the decor is a bit fancier. This property is not in a particularly pretty location. We came in August (high season) so the host was pretty busy and we didn't get much help with questions about the area.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Easy late check-in Everything was clean and comfortable Has a nice style in its own and has delicate pieces exposed on every place of the property (maybe this is the reason why they do not accept children)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hard to find
