9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rural atmosphere. Very friendly people. Small and intimate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a charming experience this was! We were met bij Angeles (hope I spelled it correctly) and later her husband as well. And although they didn't speak English and we speak just a little bit of Spanish (I understood that the other lady, Maria, does speak English), they did everything in their power to accommodate us. With jokes and talking with hands and feet. It was lovely! We had made a reservation for dinner as well. For 15 euro's each you get a meal of the day which Angeles cooked: appetizer, main and dessert. It was really terrific! Even the wine and water were included. The lovely breakfast is included in the price of the room: fresh fruit, toasted bread and other goodies. The place itself is such a treat as well! Literally in the middle of nowhere, which gives you a great feel of the Spanish countryside. The building is beautifully renovated. The room was so spacious, nicely decorated and clean. It also has a fridge/minibar. It was a shame that we were there for just a short while on our way to Madrid airport (which is a 1,5 hour drive). Next time we're in Spain, we will definately stop here again. You'd be a fool not to stay here!
Cons: I would have liked some glasses in the room, instead of the two plastic cups (one had a tear in it). People stated in other reviews that the place is hard to find. The problem is that it is on a 'nameless road'. If you have a gps that allows you to enter the coördinates you'll be fine. We got there real easy. Look for the sign of the 'Queseria', it is on the main road (right off autovía A4). That's where you have to enter the nameless (bumpy) road. Maria will send you a very clear route description as well. Keep in mind that you let them know at what time you want to check in (you can check in till 1900 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderfull place, wonderfull people, extraordinary supper
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The owners are very very nice and helpful. Very high quality of rooms. Very clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Terrific personal service. The finca had been converted into extremely comfortable accommodation, yet retained a unique country feel.
Cons: The information to reach and locate the property could have been improved just a little. However, when found, it definitely lived up to our expectations.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super property in the midst of grape vines, very friendly staff, who even phoned us en route to check our expected arrival time. Beautiful place to spend some time, seemed far from all hustle. And bustle. But quite near to the local town of Herencia.
Cons: The road to the finca was not straight forward but the map supplied was helpful. More signs would probably help. In fairness being very tired was part of the problem for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.... the perfect getaway.
Cons: Nothing. The place is stunning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very, very cordial and the setting most tranquil.
Cons: A bit difficult to find but should have paid more attention

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and meeting rooms. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was continental with plenty of variety and ample amounts.
Cons: You can't change the location because there wasn't much in the vicinity.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel itself was quite new, and staff took pride in keeping it clean and being attentive to their guests. However, it was rather 'stand-alone' and, as such, seemed to be the meeting place for all the locals to eat and drink. We looked up nearby restaurants on our sat-nav, and it produced a long list, but they all seemed to be closed down or just not open at that time.
Cons: There were very few staff who understood much english, so it was difficult to make ourselves understood. Yes, we know it is their country and language and we had learned a bit, but even an english 'crib-sheet' might have been useful when trying to order breakfast, despite the staff being eager to please.
6.8 Good
Pros: Quietness comfy beds easy to find secure parking good.
Cons: At the time of year we went there was no restaurant during the week only a bar cafeteria and sited on an industrial estate
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great shower, good bed.
Cons: Breakfast service was " different" . No buffet, but you just order a tostada con jamón o queso, juice and coffee, and that's it. Location is good when passing through, close to the highway. Not really quiet.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff was so friendly
Cons: The Wifi in the room was all the time weak.
7.0 Good
Cons: Staff at the bar do not speak or understand any other language than Spanish so ordering breakfast may be a challenge.

Cons: Only offered a 3 course set restaurant food No cafe style food offered Too remote Only one member of staff could speak English
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is way out but an ideal overnight stop if you travel through the area, much better then the other 4 star hotel in Alcazar. The food is fine, great breakfast included and very reasonable prices for everything. Stop here for overnight on a longer trip.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The wine was nice
Cons: This is not a 4* hotel, more like a conference centre from the 1980's. The food was hideous. We opted for the set menu, the starter was pasta and chorizo, the chorizo had the texture of dog food and no taste. For our main we had burnt chicken breast and the worst cut of steak possible with badly cooked potatoes then to top it off, dessert was a stale cornetto!!! The room was very dated, not a pleasant experience at all.
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable the real issue was the communication but the did try, and the fact that there was no vineyard nearby , to see. the vineyard ( the main reason for coming there ) you had to book in for this. not available to us on this day, so the said tonight they would give a taste of there wines this they staff were unaware of this but they did try and let me taste 2 only of there red wines. we were only 2 of maybe 8 guests at the venue the dining room was huge, this is primarily a convention centre coupled with very poor communication re language made the decision to come here a bad one
Cons: The fact that this is a convention centre not a vineyard chateau at all, lack of english language but they did try maybe the location being very rural was the issue

Pros: We were looking for a place to stay in Consuegra and this Posada has a perfect location. The room was comfortable with 4 beds and the lunch and breakfast were delicious. They actually stayed open late for lunch as we arrived late. The proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the small town feel and the proximity to the windmills. There is ample street parking right outside the Posada. Restaurants for dinner were just a 10 or 15 minute walk from the hotel. I definitely recommend this Posada.
Cons: The price was higher than I would have expected for a small town. That said, there weren't any other negatives that come to mind.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with real medieval castle vibes inside. Room was very comfortable, cosy and clean. The main guy was very nice and breakfast in the morning was easy. This town is a beautiful little stop over if travelling south from Madrid. A great stroll from here through the centre up to the castle and windmills, try catch the sunset if you can!
Cons: No complaints, although the shower, whilst beautiful and modern, didn't have a shower curtain/screen and the rest of the bathroom didn't have a drain so the floor got quite wet. We weren't quite sure how to avoid this.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was small, but perfect for myself as a solo traveler. Good hot water. A/C was a great bonus.
Cons: The area of the hotel is nothing special. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the bus station, which I knew.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hostal was a lovely rustic style. The bed was comfortable and bathroom very large.
Cons: Place locked on arrival had to call someone to let us in.A lady arrived and rushed us up to the room and gave us keys and left.We didn't see the owner until morning when the bar was open.Breakfast cheap, but only a drink and toast very basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owner. Luxury room. Comfort. Everything perfect. Maximal contentment. Note for bicyclist: no problem with bicycles over night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here twice in the last few months. We like the proprietor. Antonio is a friendly, caring guy, who is helpful. The décor is fun--with roof tiles on the bannister, stone and brick on the walls, lovely bathrooms, and beautiful flooring. It is clean and very easy to find. Our room had a view of the castle. There is a bar downstairs, so definitely a 10.

Cons: I liked it all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. They were very welcoming. The rooms and hotel were so clean and filled with character. WiFi was super fast and location was perfect. Great place to stay while road tripping from Córdoba towards Cuenca or back to Madrid.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and room were great. Close to the windmills, and has a bar and restaurant downstairs for food and drinks if you fancy!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very good place to stay for one night to see the windmills. We had a room with a Castello-view. The town is small so you can park anywhere. You get butter, marmalade, bread and coffee for breakfast.
Cons: There was no hairdryer We came at 17 o‘clock, the hotel was closed. We rang and rang the doorbell. Nobody opened. Only when we called them, they opened the door

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice little enclosed property. The patio looks amazing. The bar-restaurant-terrace is large and inviting. It's right in front of the lake. Lovely little place quite isolated from the village. Nice welcome.
Cons: Window blinds were stuck but it was night already, no harm done. The head of the bed was loose and it's unnecessary noise that could easily be avoided, but again, not much of an issue since it was late season. The town of Villafranca de los Caballeros is really strange, 1970-80's Spain, and a bit gloomy at night. Doesn't impact the hostal though, which is by the lake.
