Pros: I really enjoyed my stay here. The beds were really comfy. The property is very clean and in a quiet location. You are walking distance to all parts of the village.
Cons: We were asked to leave the room at 10 am however the instructions in out room said 10.30. When arriving at the hotel there were no clear instructions how to check in. We rang the buzzer and another guest come to greet us and advise we need to call the phone number on the wall. Once we did this the lady came very quickly to help us, it just would have been better if we had been told before.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner went out of her way to accommodate my dietary needs, and it was an unexpected treat! She was prompt, kind, and the room was beautifully renovated but the building facade maintained its old world charm.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Aesthetically beautiful, serene, remote grounds are beautiful Dinner was superb, nice dining room.
Cons: 1. Access road is terrible, and I thought I was going in the wrong direction but what a reveal when you get there 2. Bar needs better lighting, and some music , better seating( couch is not comfortable) a fire in the chimney would have been awesome , cool night low 60
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The surrounding of Masseria Susafa is amazing, you look all over the fields and there is not any kind of light pollution which will guarantee you for great sky full of stars during night. The rooms are simple, clean and all you need is in there, the property is really build on being outside so having a super deluxe room is a bit unessecary if you ask me. The restaurant is really great, everything is fresh and from their garden or made in the area around of the Masseria, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Yes the road towards the Masseria is not flat (cause it's Sicily) and a bit bumpy as you probably read in below reviews, but to be honest it's really not the end of the world. Just drive a bit slower, during daylight and it will be all fine. And as soon as you arrive as susafa you will forget about it in a second. I just have one advise left: book a room and enjoy this place of pure nature and authentique peace. *people addicted to their phones and internet probably should look further, there's barely connection so you really have to talk face to face to each other ;) *
9.6 Excellent
Pros: GREATE STAY, beautiful nature, greate staff. in one word- PERFACT
7.1 Good
Pros: Access road is terrible; we thought we were going in the wrong direction. The location is ideal, isolated and very quiet with superb natural surroundings. Breakfast was excellent with a wide array of biological cheeses, high-fiber bran flakes, yoghurt, hams, cakes and a chance to make your own juice from fresh fruits and vegetables. Food was good, served in a superb room, but to big portions and we would like the menu to change more often.
Cons: Our room smelled “basement” and had no full length wardrobe The pool needed a clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property and very relaxing

Pros: The concept is very nice
Cons: The 7 km road to the property is very bad

Pros: Super-Super friendly owners!!! Such a different approach than in commercial hotels! Great dinner made of local specialties (esp. delicious home-made marmelade). It was too much for us to eat it all It was a great decision to pick this location!!
Cons: Italian style breakfast was not very big but I assume this is the way it was meant to be :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel quite last minute after having a job in Sicily and wanting to make a weeks holiday from it. From the moment we checked in everything has been fantastic. Our flight was delayed so we were very late, but this was no issue, we were sent good directions prior to check in. Giuseppe and his lovely girlfriend make you feel incredibly welcome, nothing is too much trouble and they’re always happy to offer advice on local restaurants and attractions. The photographs of the property simply do not do it justice, set in the beautiful countryside we hope to be back again soon! Fantastic value for money too! Thank you so much again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Second time at the Tenuta Lanza, always exeding the expectation. Giuseppe is a great host and available 24 hours a day if needed. Great breakfast, biological food and a great atmosphere. 10/10
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful Guest House in a stunning location from which we visited Valle dei Templi and Scala dei Turchi, Agrigento. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the evenings in the surrounding area - we went to three different ones, all excellent - all extremely welcoming even though they didn't speak English and we didn't speak Italian!
Cons: We were hoping for a relaxing, peaceful stay in what seemed to be a secluded guest house in the middle of nowhere, but there was a private party on the first night which went on until the early hours and the pool was used as the local public pool for the weekend - very busy and noisy. The last day was just how we imagined - a peaceful place to relax - very enjoyable. My advice - it's a beautiful place, but avoid weekends if you want to relax in peace and tranquility! The breakfast was very simple compared to the other places we stayed and had a problem with a leaky shower!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location in the mointains, great facilities, fantastic food, lots of wine and home-made marmelades ... plus owners, who don't treat you as customer but as a friend visiting their cosy property. What else do you need on holidays?
Cons: The only bad thing was, that we could stay here for 2 nights only! Take it under consideration when booking, otherwise you may be as sad as us when leaving
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a best place to relax. Beautiful agriturismo with great ladies with a great smile and great welcome. Great food. Il definitively will return again.
Cons: Liked all.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Dirty full of green algae swimming pool, Breakfast 6 tiny pieces of bread. Couple of croissants. Entrance from road very poor. Rubbish left around property. Owner could care less. He jus didn’t want to be there. No where to put towels in bathroom & loads more negative things

Pros: It was a beautiful and recently remodeled apartment and conveniently located to the restaurant where we had free breakfast and stores.

Pros: The site was beautiful. Lina, the proprietor, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. Our only regret was not finding it sooner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Calogero and Lina were wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome and took great care of us. Even though they don't speak much English, we were still able to communicate with them thanks to Google translate! The grounds are beautiful and the views from the guest rooms are incredible! It was so quiet and peaceful.

Pros: The owners were so gracious and made us feel like family. Beautiful room with beautiful views. We ate three meals a day prepared by the owners. Unbelievable food and vino. Would recommend the place to everyone traveling through this are and we would hope to return one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was treated like family! Great hosts great food.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, very large, clean and comfortable room. With a balcony and a shared terrace. When we arrived, we were asked what we wanted for dinner and we took up the offer of pasta and salad, as we’d had a long day of driving and we’re grateful that there was a restaurant downstairs! It turns out that this place is family run, and we were literally the only guests staying there apart from various members of their family. When we went for dinner, the salad and pasta were delicious - I believe the chef was the father or father in law of the waiter! Breakfast was also very nice, I had pomegranate yoghurt, fruit and fresh bread, whilst my partner had meats and cheese.
Cons: The location of the B&B is halfway up a mountain - not having experience with Sicilian roads, our route through the town (as nice as it was!) was very windy along very narrow streets. If you come here, please try to take the more direct route along the main roads as it will be easier especially if you have a large car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy and spacious place. The most amazing view ever and you just feel like in paradise when you enter the place. Everything is made with so much love. The rooms are great. Modern and original at the same time. The common area is lovely, large and even has a kitchen. You can sit outside and enjoy the wonderful sunset. And the host is a super nice woman!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Personal, great hosts, great food.... we had a small gathering one evening and the owner volunteered to cook — exceeded our expectations of cuisine, service and ambiance. Loved it.
Agriturismo Cuca - Polizzi Generosa - Building
9
9.2 Excellent (62 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Agriturismo Cuca in Polizzi Generosa, you'll be steps from Madonie Regional Natural Park and a 4-minute drive from The Madonita Ambientalistic Museum of Polizzi Generosa. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, laundry facilities, and coffee/tea in a common area. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Early check-in, friendly host, welcome drink on arrival, beautiful surroundings and lovely views, rustic charm, fresh flowers in bedroom, tasty vegetarian evening meal consisting of farm produce (good value for money, 18€/person).
Cons: The doors not shutting, the washbasin not draining in the bathroom, mouldy shower cubicle. Very cold room on a rainy day. Very disappointing breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view and the owner are both amazing! The dinner was very delicious and everything home made! Pure nature! The water is drinkable and fresh! Just spend some days there because one is not enough.
Cons: The heating in our room was bad.. all the equipment is old but charming.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast with the addition of local cheeses and perfectly ripe home grown figs. The jam was also home made from fruits grown on the farm. I particularly liked the blackcurrant jam. Tea was offered in addition to coffee which was a nice touch. Most impressive was the location. The property is tucked away on a quiet road with a beautiful view of the mountains and Polizzi Generosa in the distance. It was nice to eat breakfast outside with the peaceful sounds of nature, and fresh air of the national park. There is a very peaceful vibe to the property, which you will understand when you arrive there. Pietro and his Mum were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Pietro also showed us around the vegetable garden and gave us some organic gardening tips, which we appreciated, as we grow our own vegetables. The organic fruit and vegetables grown on the land around the property are used to make the evening meals (which were good value at 18 euros per person). Food which is not produced on the property is sourced from trusted local suppliers. We saw Pietro taking a delivery of sheep's cheese from a local supplier as he was showing us around. The local town is Polizzi Generosa, and it takes around 5-10 minutes to drive there, up a winding road. Top tip: park outside the town, especially if you have a larger car, like we did! We almost got stuck in the narrow medieval streets, and it was hard to navigate around all the Fiat Pandas parked half on the pavement, or at odd angles. There are also some great views of the surrounding landscape from the town. It has a very dramatic setting, perched along the top of a cliff face. Top Tip #2: If you need to top up on fuel, the nearest petrol station is in the town of Castellana Sicula. The Wider Area: From Polizzi Generosa, take the SP119 north up the tranquil mountain road into the heart of the park. There are stunning views. Watch out for cows crossing the road!
Cons: Not much not to like at all really. The car park was a little tight, but still large by Italian standards :) Parking was in general, something we found difficult during our self driving holiday. Especially in the popular tourist towns on the weekend. Some people say Cuca was hard to find, however we simply used an iphone navigation with Google Map directions and as long as you follow them, you will get there no problem. (You can click on the Cuca icon on Google Maps.) If you are coming from Polizzi Generosa just keep your speed low: the right turn to Cuca is very sharp.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pietro is such a kind and friendly guy showing you all around and letting you feel very welcome. Went on a beautiful hike just 20 min drive from the agriturusmo. Lovely dinner as well all fresh from the garden!! It’s a peaceful place. Would strongly recommend this to people who want to get out of the city and relax!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable as well as very private The hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area The dinner was great and very reasonably priced
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Probably the highlight of our trip. A beautifully relaxing stay at the Cuca farmhouse. Fantastic welcome and really felt part of a family at the lovely evening meals prepared by our hosts. The place is fairly rustic, and a really great jumping off point for hiking and sight-seeing in the area. Couldn't fault it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambience of the room, the view, the food and the owner
Cons: That we had to leave, our stay was so good.,
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had dinner there on the 3 nights we stayed and the food, cooked by the host's mother was simple, very tasty and different each night. She used fresh ingredients from their own organic garden. Other guests from France and Holland did the same thing and we had some very enjoyable evenings - helped by some homemade liqueurs !
Cons: Difficult to find using satnav, had to phone for directions. The drive was very rough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is perfect. Pietro went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our single day in the mountains even in the absence of our own car, well above and beyond. The place is a working farm set in idyllic scenery with views over the mountains and valleys and up to the town of Polizzi Generosa perched on its outcrop. Spacious rooms in the apartment were comfy. Excellent fresh local food prepared by the host family for evening and breakfast focussed on very local products as far as possible (at a very reasonable extra cost for dinner), and we were supplied with bread and cheese for a hiking-lunch. I can't praise this place enough.

Pros: nothing a sewer would of been better
Cons: upon arrival we founf the hotel completely in revonation, meaning there was no front desk and there was construction everwhere, there was no lobby except for broken up concrete I nearly broke my neck three times trying to walk thuough the location. We could find no one to check us in the only people there were construction workers. There was no continental breakfast I have photos you would not believe. we turned around to leave when a man walked in and told us come upstairs and we got a room on the third floor which was one bedroom with two twin beds the placed smelled bad, and the noise of construction was all the time. it was horrible I did not sleep at all. I paid 60 euros now that I am home I have another bill for 69 euros. what is this about.

Pros: The views from the room are magnificent. Anyone who loves nature would love staying here. The owner is very welcoming. Breakfast is good and nicely presented. We had dinner on 2 occasions and it was very filling and tasting very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful place to stay. It's quite remote and high up in the hills, so cooler at night. The welcome and care was really friendly. Karin was helpful, recommending places to visit, park and walk, and Luigi is a great cook. We were booked half-board and are not fussy eaters so said just to give us whatever was good. We had lovely four course meals with lots of local specialties. And the setting for dinner and breakfast was romantic. We enjoyed saying hello to the animals too!

Pros: The historic building and the grounds are extraordinarily beautiful in the heart of the Sicilian countryside with easy access to the surrounding historical villages of the Madonie area. Despite what Google maps says to the contrary, the agriturismo is only 4 km from the Scillato autostrada exit, so it is easy to get to. We had a wonderful stay, made extra special by the warm hospitality of the owner, Corrado and all his staff. The food was excellent and plentiful, and the swimmimg pool was of a good size. We definitely hope to return.
Cons: Nothing not to like.

Pros: The location is absolutely stunning. This historical property overlooks the mountains. A beautiful garden and fabulous pool. Rooms are quiet, rustic and comfortable. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: A little gem of a place in the middle of Scicly... Pietro was very helpful since the town has very few tourist facilities... We were given a tour of some of the town's sites and absolutely enjoyed our short stay in Sutera
Cons: Absolutely nada
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Pietro went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best! Sutera is a stunning place and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. Pietro even took time to show us the Rabato section of the town at night and that was VERY special. As he said, “That’s 400 meters of walking and almost 2000 years of history.”
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect host who showed greatest afford (showed us a few spots in the city, gave us a little sightseeing tour by car, brought us to a restaurant). Nice and clean accommodation with a superb view.
Cons: Not a real minus but for communication a bit of Italian knowledge will help a lot. In general for central Sicily.
