Pros: Clean towels thay aren't quick dry and bath. It was a warm and clean space. If I wanted some space or a rest day, this would be a good place. The cafe just up the road was good too.
Cons: Nothing.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great bathroom
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, central, comfortable beds and reasonably spacious. Added bonus of a balcony in adjoining room.
Cons: Mosquito nets at the windows were split and didn't close properly as a result some of our group were bitten!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean room. Plenty of towels and extra bedding.
Cons: Registration was off-site (at a local bar/restaurant).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom had a bath and a bidet.. Great for tired weary feet we had walked all day in the heat
Cons: Spotlessly clean decent size room for 4 people. A welcome fi d on the Camino. Beautiful wee town
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good hostel with clean rooms in the heart of the village. The room was spacious and had good beds. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Staff was professional but could be friendlier.

Pros: Nothing really stood out
Cons: No breKfast

7.0 Good
Pros: Absolutely wonderful and nice place, it is unusual to stay at a monastery, it is so beautiful. We liked the food in the restaurant of the monastery.
Cons: At first, it was not very warm in the room, but during the night, it became overheated. In the winter, the room should be heated a bit more in advance and reduce the temperature afterward. There were noises coming in all around the room, from the neighbor's ones and from the hall. It was very hard to get an undisturbed sleep through the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Place to be
6.7 Good
Pros: Character and history. Location to Camino.
Cons: Breakfast disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stop for the ferry from Santander
5.0 Okay
Pros: This is a lovely historical building. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant, however, it was quite expensive.
Cons: Be aware that when you get a discounted room through booking.com, that it will not have a nice view out the window. The room was not spacious like the photos. It was cramped and dusty around the edges of the room. There did not seem to be many guests staying, so I'm not sure why they would place us in a cramped room that was not clean enough with a derelict view outside the window. We were staying to celebrate our wedding anniversary and mentioned this when checking in. The staff did not even acknowledge what we said. A happy anniversary from them would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's peaceful, the restaurant is excellent and has great atmosphere
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quiet splendour - not outrageous like many religious venues in Spain - if you visit you must walk round the cloisters and wander down to the Chapel - takes your breath away - it is glorious in its simplicity yet it is awesome. You envy the monks that live here. Food was excellent - main course was fish but it had herbs and sauce that brought out flavours I had not thought possible. Equal to Parador in Santiago.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. It was magnificent. Now I think about it staff could smile a bit more.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and lovely food, though that was more expensive than the village. bedroom was lovely and it was quiet.
Cons: The local village had virtually every restaurant closed - a shame, but eating in the hotel was good.

7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel was lovely but we didn’t meet a soul the whole of our stay. Let in on an intercom and there was an honesty bar so no one to pay. Left very early the next day so left cash at reception and let ourselves out. Strange but didn’t affect the quality of the stay.
Cons: Quite remote
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner greeted us in perfect English and was very welcoming. The hotel had lots of charm. The room was fairly big with a good view over roof tops to the hills. The bathroom was big with a bath with very powerful shower. The location was about 2 hours south of Santander so very convenient from the ferry. Good food in restaurant opposite hotel and in a quiet village . The breakfast had everything- pastries bread ham cheese fruit and delicious yoghurt.

Cons: I love it just as it is, and stay here regularly when driving across Spain
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Location was great and the room perfect.
Cons: Wait staff at the restaurant unfriendly. The woman who checked us in was just delightful, but we chose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and found the waitress to be curt with us and never checked in to ensure our meal was acceptable or if we needed anything. So sad because everything else was perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was very good, hairdryer provided. Very clean
Cons: Staff efficient but no warmth or friendliness
7.5 Good
Pros: clean, comfortable rooms and decent food at restaurant BUT i felt it was overpriced and not great value. staff were awful - seemed continually pissed off at u for simply making them do their job ?? eg. checking in, trying to pay or order food. had to ask 3 times for my pilgrim stamp and eventually come back later in the day to get it. had multiple workers on but only 1 was serving while the others just talking. rushed to finish my meal and brought out courses before i was finished with the others .. just very disappointing considering the price i paid

Pros: Hotel easy to find on route from Santander. Typical Spanish decor. We arrived later than expected but were still able to order food in restaurant. Good overnight stop off.
Cons: Unfortunately there was a local party or mighty very nearby so music playing till early hours, but this not really hotels fault!

Pros: The staff are amazing. We arrived around 6 PM after a long day on the Camino. Laura was amazing. She prepared a pizza even though the restaurant was closed. She also did a wash for us. The breakfast is amazing as well.
7.9 Good
Pros: It was clean, good location and breakfast was good.
Cons: The lady that checked us in also was cleaning room and stocking the breakfast. She was a hard working woman. Our backpacks did not get picked up by currier service and when my husband came back by taxi to retrieve our backpacks another woman behind the desk was giving him a lecture about the backpacks. The last thing he deserved was a lecture from a hotel. He is not a child and has maneuvered through life just fine. He was treated horribly. Would not recommend staying here. I went outside on the balcony to cut my nails and noticed people dining directly underneath the balcony that had wide openings in the deck. Anything could fall through. I’m certainly glad I didn’t tend to my nails with diners below.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel was a little tired and could do with some money invested to bring it back to standard The breakfast was outstanding and great value for money. Bathrooms in rooms outstanding. Staff in dining at breakfast very good

Pros: Staying here was a wonderful experience. We were greeted by Carmen with a glass of wine, after a difficult day of walking in strong winds. We were taken care of by Carmen and her sister Imma like we were family. They went out of their way to help and were happy to cater vegetarian and gluten free for both breakfast and dinner. Our room was very clean, warm and comfortable. Staying with Carmen and Imma was like staying with family.
