Pros: The principal quality of the hotel is its amazing localization with a panoramic view of landscape and high mountains that seems like a picture (always changing). The larger windows of rooms and the terrace allow us to keep this romantic and splendid view during all our stay. Besides, we are in a 5 star hotel very well decorated with art paintings and sculptures, with all commodities, a wonderful restaurant and cuisine chief and dedicated staff- all this in a beautiful small village in deep contact with nature. Incredible!!
Pros: Amazingly beautiful Luxurious
Cons: Couldn’t lower air conditioning temp below 22 degrees
Pros: The location is very peaceful, nested in the mountains in Asturias, in a very small town, next to a small farm where you hear the cows and sheep and birds. Great views. we had dinner and the food was spectacular, I had the lamb "lechazo", delicious, and my husband had the merluza fish which he said was great as well. THe breakfast was also delicious, the bread, made on site, fruit, yogurt, natural juice, coffee, and eggs made as wished... the welcome reception was by a nice lady who showed us the premises, We also had the hydromassage tour which was very relaxing. I wish we had stayed longer
Pros: Staff, setting, pool, dining, art.
Cons: Pillows are too hard. Personal I know but you did ask!
Pros: Quality furniture, spacious balcony with great views and properly stocked mini bar
Pros: Location, views, restaurant. Spa is also amazing. Staff is great. P
Cons: Everything was fine
Pros: Hydro spa Location Salvador Dali theme
Cons: Breakfast was very poor and expensive. Not really up to standard. No buffet available
Pros: Probably the best hotel in Asturias.
Cons: I liked almost everything. The second night the restaurant was pretty slow ...
Pros: Great staff, hotel, and view. We were well taken care of from check in, at the restaurant, until driving away. The price is high, but you can’t get a better view. We went to relax and it was perfect. We could sit outside in silence taking in the breathtaking views of the Picos de Europa, all you can hear were the bells on the donkey and sheep. Very peaceful and a great place to get back to nature.
Cons: Everything was wonderful. Price was high but understandably so.
Pros: Everything! Lovely property with excellent staff and an awesome restaurant.
Cons: Only complaint was after an excellent meal the first night I ordered, the hamburger the second night and it was just a hamburger, nothing like the fantastic food we had the first night. My score here is probably a bit low but I marked it down on value for money as it was an expensive stay in $AU but I'm probably being unfair. The property really is lovely

Pros: The breakfast was incredible and dinner was excellent. The hotel has a beautiful view and lots of comfy chairs for you to admire it from. The room was simple and elegant. Lucia was very friendly.
Cons: The lock to our room needed adjusting, so getting in was a tad tricky. The building is old and so the noise from the bar and dinner carries - this didn't bother us but might someone else.
Pros: It was quite unique & very relaxed. The people were friendly and the food was really good. They made vegetarian meals for us even though they weren’t on the menu.
Pros: Beautiful setting in the mountains of Asturias but with easy access to both Asturias’ awesome beaches and towns like Oviedo. The owner and Sandra and the rest of the staff are awesome. We will definitely be back!!

Cons: There was nothing to not like. .....
Pros: Beautiful location, with great views of the surrounding countryside! The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The owners are wonderful, very helpful and attentive. We wanted to explore the surrounding area on foot once we'd arrived and they gave detailed directions for a lovely walk that encompassed two little villages, with time for a quick trip in to the traditional little local pub at the half way point! The breakfast was delicious too! Would highly recommend a stay here!
Pros: Everything. The house is an old traditional vicar's home which has been repurposed beautifully, keeping many of its features (tiled and wooden floors, doors, glasswork) with an added modern touch (incredible poster collection!). The view from the gallery windows in the sitting rooms are breathtaking. Rooms are lovely and cosy and have everything you need to a high standard. Maria and Adam are the best hosts you can hope for, friendly and helpful. Fabulous breakfast with freshly baked pastries.
Cons: The only way to have improved our experience would have been to stay longer!

Pros: Lovely location and brilliant hosts
Pros: The house is a beautifully restored “casona de los indianos” in the perfect location for exploring Asturias, a half an hour drive away from both Gijón and Oviedo and a little more from the Covadonga area. We slept excellent and had a delicious breakfast, as well as enjoying the hospitality of Paco and Maria Antonia. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Pros: Service, knowledge, food, location & accommodation were all very good
Cons: Nothing of note
Pros: The decor, the hosts Dave and Xavier
Pros: Amazing room, comfortable. Hosts very accommodating and great knowledge of local area. Meal they cooked for us in the evening was magnificent.
Pros: This was, without doubt, one of the highlights of our 3 week stay in Spain and 3 months in Europe. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, in an extremely quiet and picturesque location, in a tastefully renovated old house. We opted to have all our dinners on location, and could not have been happier with the decision! Every ingredient was carefully sourced locally and expertly cooked. Dave makes fresh sourdough bread every morning, which is served with local cheeses and preserves. They accommodated all our requests for dietary restrictions, and we ended up taking home some of their recipes too! The toiletries were simply a pleasure to use as well! Every single detail has been carefully thought of. We could not have wished for a better stay. The area is beautiful and there are plenty of things to explore, from the lovely town of Oviedo to, of course, the unmissable Picos de Europa. The surrounding villages are a pleasure to stroll or run through, especially in the morning or evening, when the fog rolls over the gentle hills. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat in the middle of nature, you will not regret choosing El Gran Sueno.
Cons: Everything was amazing.
Pros: Dave and Javi were the perfect hosts and we loved our 3 days staying with them (and Carson the dog!). The breakfasts were healthy and delicious and we also paid to have an evening meal with them and it was wonderful. They catered for my gluten free diet with no fuss at all. We didn't want to leave!
Cons: Nowhere to eat within walking distance but that's not an issue as they will serve you a delicious meal!
Pros: Dave and Javier are very friendly and wil help you always. The appartement was very nice. Great shower, good bed and Nice Bose bluetooth speaker and smart tv. Everything you need, is there. The view from our terras is beautiful and peaseful. We recommend everyone to stay here. We stayed in a brand new apartment!
Pros: Our second visit to el Gran Sueno. Such a wonderful experience. Comfortable and interesting property and decor. The view from the room is phenomenal. The bed and bedding is extremely comfortable. A very relaxing and cozy place to stay. The breakfast every morning is such a treat. Everything is of exceptional quality. The breads are the best in Asturias. Dinners at el Gran Sueno are sublime. Creative both visually and gastronomically, and always prepared with the best of ingredients. We had four dinners while staying there and only ventured out after they insisted we try a newly opened restaurant (Pusaki) that was also great. All this is the result of the efforts of David and Javier. They have created an oasis of relaxing comfort in the beautiful hills of Asturias. We have stayed at many small inns and B&Bs all over the world and el Gran Sueno is our favorite. If you wish to relax, enjoy amazing food and company, look no further.
Pros: Javier and Dave were extraordinary hosts. Their property is beautiful and the accommodations stunning. Javier and Dave pay attention to every detail and it makes for the most relaxing time experience. We ended up extendeding our stay, the experience was that nice. Could not recommend more!
Cons: Nothing, simply amazing!
Pros: This is the perfect place for a get-away, the opportunity to dis-connect in a totally modern place that offers all one may need while "disconnecting." The location in prime cycling territory was perfect for exactly what I was looking for -- a cycling get-away with millions of options for rides! And coming back exhausted, sometimes wet from rain, and usually on an adrenaline high, the hosts Javier and Dave had everything one could ask for to wind down after a "hard-days-work" riding and climbing the daily ~160kms. I so enjoyed staying with them, feeling right at home, not worrying about a thing and definitely not wanting to ever go back to a "normal" hotel. Dinners at the Gran Sueño, served personally by Dave and Javier were sublime every single night! I loved every single minute of my stay with them and I am planning to go back! PS: I usually do not "do" reviews ever... because everybody feels different about particular things... but this place is extraordinary and deserves more positive feedback than any other place I have stayed in a while. Javier and Dave will make your stay memorable, no doubt!
Cons: There was nothing I did not like. The place, and everything related, was perfect!
Pros: Expertly renovated village house run by delightful and v professional couple with a nice Breton spaniel. Make all own food - eg jam and bread - and will do an excellent (though not cheap) three-course evening meal. Of course, not having a whole bottle of wine would cut the cost .... Lots of nice local walks, uploaded by the owners to Wikiloc. FEVE station at Pintueles is eighty minutes walk, uphill-ish to the property.
With a stay at Palacio de Cutre in Pilona, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Cueva del Sidrón and Cañón del Descensu del Sella. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Our stay at Palacio de Cutre was incredible. The views and the location blew us away. Our room was simple and clean and you can feel the history of the house. We stayed in for dinner at the house - it was great. There are so many things to do within a 30 minute drive of the house.
Cons: Honestly, nothing.
Pros: À kind of exclusive place with a lot of history
Cons: A bit expensive in regards of the géographic localisation
Pros: Whilst not especially easy to find, once there, you realise the Palacio is a beautiful building in a spectacular location: eating outside on the terrace with the site's incredible mountainous panorama in front of you is an experience never to be forgotten. For an hotel with relatively few rooms, the Palacio offers outstanding food too - the dinner here was fantastically good and especially memorable. Certainly one to visit.
Cons: The interior of the hotel reveals its past granduer, almost to the point of giving the impression that you are staying in a museum of the original owning family's many artefacts. Some of the original cobwebs appear to have been left behind by them too but, with so many antique objects on display everywhere in the building, it must be a nightmare to keep everything spick and span. I confess my own taste would be for somewhat less prissy interiors but, having experienced this before in other hotels in Spain, there is obviously a market for places to stay that convey a similar sense of the past. That said, I think this building could be absolutely spectacular with the kind of modern interior that Spanish architects and designers are so good at giving to historic properties.
Pros: Delicious breakfast, served to our table, including a big pot of excellent Spanish coffee, lots of freshly prepared fruit and home-made cakes
Pros: Interesting restored historical building in beautiful grounds. Very quiet rural location. The staff were helpful and friendly. The evening meal that I had was good quality. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Occasionally the staff were nowhere to be found and meal time in the restaurant did not always start at the advertised time. This is not a criticism of the hotel but I should warn those planning to visit to check the exact location as everyone says that Garmin GPS maps seem to be hopeless for this region of Spain. I got led in crazy directions every time I arrived or tried to get somewhere.
Pros: Superb meal and delightful waiter . Owners very friendly and welcomed us despite being soaked
Cons: Room a little dark n cluttered
Pros: we travelled in a group and we were made to feel very welcome, we sat outside and had a drink whilst are party checked in the views were stunning, the evening meal was excellent, we all had a good nights sleep and the Breakfast was first class. we stayed in 7 hotels on our tour of Northern Spain and Portugal everybody in our party voted Palacio de Cutre the favourite. if i was in the area again i would not hesitate to stay at the Palacio de Cutre again. Thank you.
Pros: .Generous and delicious breakfast .The hotel offers a meticulous decor and has a romantic atmosphere The surrounding area is just perfect: in the middle of the countryside, green meadows, mountains. .Astounding view from our window .Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a real treat
Cons: Having to leave so soon
Pros: Beautiful old restored Manor House . First class restaurant and very helpful staff.
Pros: Blueberry freshly squeezed juice! Service was great Thank you so much for accommodating our fresh fruits and vegetables picture session
Cons: Road a bit to to drive to get to it, but love the mountains!

Pros: Very kind and helpful staff. Room was nice, clean.
Cons: Earplugs needed from bar noise in adjacent alley.
Pros: Basic bed for two nights, but clean. Convenient for good bus service and railway.
Cons: Just very basic
Cons: The noise coming from the square
Located in Pilona, Palacio de Rubianes Hotel & Golf is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Cañón del Descensu del Sella and Cueva del Sidrón. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good view in country side.
Cons: Need to go through narrow and rocky country road to reach the hotel
Pros: As an old building (palace) most times I would do pictures of this place and post then on my blog. But now, i got to sleep in such great place that had great cuisine (a bit salty for a Romanian), stone wals, modern features and extra
Cons: The road to the palace is one way mostly and we had the luck not to get someone to come from the opposite direction...
Pros: We stayed one night (30 July) on our way across to Galicia, but would have booked additional nights after our experience. The property has been fitted to an excellent standard and the set menu was good value for money. a pity the restaurant appeared to be under utilised by the guests. Breakfast was plentiful. Our bedroom was on the top floor with a sloping and beamed ceiling, so care was needed to avoid banging our heads. Wonderful views can be had from the skylights with the sound of cowbells ringing from the hill farm on the other side of the golf course.
Cons: No air conditioning, but the skylights were adequate to cool the room. The hotel is in a secluded area so you would need to travel some way if you wanted to eat out. You need to watch out for the signs to find the hotel although the gps proved useful.
Pros: location, friendly staff, quality food, clean air, sound of cow bells, availabilty of walks directly from hotel
Cons: the difficult drive from the main road but that is not the hotel´s fault!
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was very, very quiet with stunning views of the Picos de Europa.
Cons: It's very difficult to find - they need more signs from the nearest main road.
Pros: Excellent value for money, evening meal was 1st class, stunning location and the freindly staff completed our stay.
Cons: Bedrooms with vaulted ceiling, although looked fantastic the height restriction was a back breaker!
Pros: Similar to staying with friends. Hotel staff very obliging and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful peaceful situation buried in the countryside. Perfect for those wanting to get away from it all with some luxury thrown in.
Cons: We were rather surprised by the amount of outside lighting left on all through the night. Difficult to stop the light coming in at night, a bit light city lighting. Not very echo- and disturbing when trying to sleep. Other than that - a perfect stay. Also it accepts dogs. However in your brief on the hotel it does not specify the cost for dogs, rather it indicates that one might or might not pay. In the event I was charged 25 euros a day, which I thought excessive and queried it. The owner agreed to halve the charge.
Pros: Great location, beautiful hotel
Cons: The restaurant was closed (which we were given no warning about) and there are no restaurants in close proximity
Pros: The setting was lovely and the hotel was very nice.
Cons: The food in the restaurant was OK but expensive for the qulity.
Pros: It is a verry peacefull hotel, rooms are nicly decorated, diner was good, breakfast is a buffet. Great view from the terrace on the mountains and golfcorse. The best hotel we stayed in during our trip.
Cons: No view from your room and no airconditioning. During the night you don't need a/c but during the day it would be nice.
Pros: Amazing location in the middle of the Asturian hills, beautiful building with all modern confort. Would highly recommend this hotel for relaxing a few days away from the city.
Cons: Breakfast could be improved to match the rest of the services offered.
