an absolutely lovely hotel, peaceful and relaxing, a home away from home. I caouldn't ask for any better. I'll always go there again .
the hospitality of the stuff
Wonderful hotel staff and facilities at there. i wish to again come back...
Nice location in the middle of vineyards, quiet countryside. The staff gave us very warm welcome; they were really helpful and friendly all the time. The room was clean and big enough for two people. The outdoor swimming pool and the wine cellar are a big plus! Wine variety is really good. I would recommend this hotel for couples who want to spend relaxing holiday in the countryside. Breakfast could contain a bit more options.
Hotel facilities and staff were excellent. The restaurant offers high quality food at reasonable prices and made dinners extremely convenient especially for people with very young children.
Beautiful setting, wonderful staff (could not have been more helpful and hospitable), incredible views, wonderful food, great wine. The local village is a bit quiet with a limited choice of restaurants but Cascina Spinerola itself is a haven - so I'd suggest stay in the hotel!
It is the perfect place for a weekend break - we went for Easter and it was lovely - stunning country side with the Alps in the far distance and rolling hills covered in grape vines all around. Cascina Spinerola is a friendly, family run hotel, and feels like staying with family. We were made to feel very welcome - the family made every effort to please us and make sure we had everything we needed. Most of the food and the wine is made on site and is exceptionally good - especially the wine!
The hotel was modern and clean with a pleasant design, the breakfast was nice We arrived at 10 in the evening and were informed that there is no dinner or even room service available. There was wi fi only in the reception area. The location of the hotel is a little bit far from the main road
This was a positive surprise. Very pleasant place with friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Lot of local flavor in house design and furniture. Located in the middle of Moncalvo vineyards with nice views to the village and surrounding hills. Superb pool and excellent local food and wine. Children (9 & 10 yrs) enjoyed the stay as well.
The welcome from this most attentive family was so warm. The hotel room was spotlessly clean and the pride they showed in their service is a rareity. For us it was fabulous as we had a car but this hotel could be considered a little of the beaten track without your own transport....
The food, room, view, lounge, area, etc. All wonderful.
Food at dinner especially was excellent and so was wine. Breakfast was very good too. Location was beautiful. Room was very basic. Walls were simply rendered, not painted and ensuite was a cubicle built into the room. Ok for students - but not the type of accommodation I was looking for. Pool was not open despite it being warm enough (especially for English visitors!)
Spacious room, with terrace. This hotel is more like a "motel". You have to go outside to get to your room, etc... Swimmingpool was dirty and closed. There is no restaurant!! Breakfast was poor. When I arrived, at 8o'clock, almost everything had disappeared and was not refilled... Hotel is ok for a overnight stay when travelling by, but it is way overpriced!!
Lots of parkingspace. Outdoor swimmingpool. Spacious terrace. Room was stuffed with 4 single beds (1 of them really blocked passage). Airco did not work and when I asked at frontdesk, I got told that one can not expect a room to be cooler than 24° c when it's 30° outside... Why bother installing airco then? No restaurant @ the hotel.
The receptionist was really nice and friendly on both check in and check out. The pool looked exceptional if we'd had more time. The fish tank full of water and working but no fish, gravel etc was a different touch. A bar with no attendant (it was the receptionist) and no stock. The breakfast was not replenished during the time it was open and was very poor, the waitress in there did not even speak to us. Very disappointing.
The room was clean and tidy (apart from a stench of cigarettes) the room was relatively cheap and would have been fine if the disikes shown below were rectified. The tv did not even have one english channel (I.E. news or similar) the only option would be to pay to watch an english movie. There were no tea making facilities in the room and no room service available when we arrived late and wanted to eat. The room stunk of cigarettes although it was supposed to be a non smoking room.
The bed in the single room was spacious, between a queen and a king size bed. Hotel also has Sky with several sports channels. Breakfast was nice, as long as you didn't expect to find ham, cheese, scrambled eggs - and I didn't.
Good internet service, breakfast variety, friendly staff The only problem of the hotel is the location since it is far from the city center and only one restaurant (but very good one) are available nearby.Especially that the city is a small and it is not possible to have a taxi after 19:00
Large room - large bed - well equipped - quiet location - easy access to autostrada No
Very easy and safe parking Staff too overworked at reception to deal with questions in a calm manner
On arrival we were told that it had been overbooked and we had been upgraded to a villa. This was 3 kms away by car and we had to drive to a supermarket to prepare our meal. My husband adored the villa and view, but it wasnt the sauna and spa that I had booked for.
Ottimo! Perfecto! We arrived exhausted from an unpleasant stay at a hotel in Torino and this place was perfect. It's been converted from a monastery and no expense has been spared to give an amazing holiday, it was almost like a retreat, and the views of Siestere and the surrounding valleys are spectacular. The heating is very good, everything you could want is provided and the owners are very helpful but not intrusive. The Restaurant Antico Monasterio is done beautifully. The whole thing was an experience we won't forget. we wanted to extend our stay and were reluctant to leave.
The staff was incredibly friendly, the room huge and welcoming and clean. Our little dog was welcome - and it was all extremely pleasant. Great atmosphere. Lovely little town and gorgeous views. Nothing.
There was an element of surprise as the gates to the hotel courtyard were opened. We were immediately met with smiles by the friendly family staff who were excited to give us a tour of the complex...and then showed us to our apartment which was palacial in size but warm and inviting. It had been delightfully restored to honor the ancient structure... a wonderful mix of antique and modern furnishings and conveniences...nice little kitchen, great heating system even in October!)free wifi. Wonderful restaurant! We booked for 3 days, A totally unique experience and a great place to base ourselves to explore all the little hill towns nearby!
THis was a stunningly beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is still being developed but this did not affect out experience. The restaraunt was fine dining but very friendly, they even arranged a birthday cake for my 13 year old. Almost no english is spoken except by the manager of the restaurant but if you are willing, communication is possible. We loved this hotel.
Excellent restaurant with a complete menu. Beautiful mountain view from the restaurant terrace. Very friendly owner family. Room not cleaned during our 3 night stay. Isolated location in a small village.
location and views and peace & quiet directions to get there, very complicated and not obvious where the hotel is and very narrow streets for large cars.
Why this place is called a ressort, is a mistery: No sauna, bar, pool, massages or other forms of wellness. Heating and wlan did not work. one roll, sliced into 6 pieces for the 2 of us for breakfast, along with one tiny pack of butter. Part of the premises still in ruin. Adjacent restaurant only in operation during weekends. This establishment is sailing under the wrong flag! Our idea of a palazzo is different. It is a simple country lodging, nothing else.
There is nothing we liked about our stay. This hotel was barely functioning. It has no resources and the food was very disappointing.
