The location and the excellent breakfast
The bedroom was spacious, light and comfortable. It included an armchair -- always welcome. The bathroom was excellent. Staff at reception were very helpful.
Central position, car parking nearby (although staff gave wrong directions to it ) Poor staff attitude. Mediocre breakfast, cold coffee
the hotel was ok, had to use public car park
On arrival all necessary information about our stay was given to us the reception was very helpful. extremely difficult topark while offloading
close to the old town Restaurant, although cheap, was very a very poor experience, suggest eating out in the old town
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Secure parking was across the street and convenient. Meal in Restaurant was excellent.
Location and quality of the accommodations. Dinner
Friendly staff and professional service
This was an overnight stop as we were travelling south but the Paradore was very comfortable and the food was excellent. A beutiful historic building near the centre of town. The underground car park was useful (if unusual with a lift for the car!) so we didn't have to unload everything for the overnight stay. No
My family and I enjoyed the Parador itself. The corridors, the layout, the rich use of color, the placement of furniture etc. Was absolutely stunning. We loved the feel of the Parador. We particularly did not enjoy the service attitude we experienced in the bar, the night bar and the restaurant. When we were served by male service staff their attitude was shocking. It truly felt as if we were in their way. It was such a relief when we went to breakfast and their were only lady servers. They were professional, helpful and smiled goodmorning.
The building Car parking
difficult parking , spacious rooms, very expensive restaurant for unxceptional food and poor deserts.
Our room was spacious with 2 television sets and a small "sitting room." The room had little natural light and the small window overlooked the main road. We were informed that only the "superior rooms" had larger windows which did not overlook the road.Although stated to be 4 star, there was no offer with assistance with luggage and the room was a fair distance from reception. The cost of the car park was expensive.
Historic parador, beautiful ample room, nice garden.
decor of Parador, helpfulness of staff, central location. The prices for both food and drinks .
The space and scenery around the Hotel itself. Also the use of the swimming pool. Just one thing, the outdoor swimming pool did not have a life guard which of course absolutely necessary and if I am not mistaken obligatory by law.
Location is superb near the parque. Very relaxed stay. Good kitchen. Restaurant with highly priced menu, but the daily-menu is very good (also enough choice) and not expensive. Design-rooms is nice but not always very handsome.
This is a poorly designed, starkly furnished and badly maintained hotel with painted or bare concrete walls, ill fitting wooden flooring, shoddy furniture and plumbing system the sound of a jump jet. Four stars bears no relation to the level of comfort but the price does. It's only redeeming feature is proximity to Monfrague but Casa Rurales or Trujillo would be preferable.
it was well placed for what i wanted and everything was how it should be
Proximity of P.N. Monfragüe The "menu of the day" could be improved.
I liked the setting of the hotel, the outside terrace and the fact that the air conditioning was working well.
This was the country part of our holiday - Salamanca & Toledo being the city part. Location for the National Park of Monfrague was excellent - a 15 minute drive and you could be watching Vultures and Black Storks at the superb Salte de Gitano, or off walking in the park itself. There are no towns within 25 miles and the local village of Torrejon el Rubio has not much to offer apart from stocking up for provisions for picnics on walks. The hotel itself was of interesting recent design and airy and pleasant. The reception staff were excellent and the Menu del dia at 16.50 euros in the restaurant provided good value and excellent. The room was spacious and well appointed. There was only one downside to the room - the unusual somewhat unpleasant smell emanating from the bathroom - this was probably because of the location meaning there was no connection to mains plumbing and certain disinfectants being used. There was a dividing door which meant this smell did not encroach on the main bedroom, and we did to a large extent get used to it!
Good value dinners. Very handy for our purposes, ie bird watching in the area from Jerte to south of Trujillo. Staffing of the bar was inadequate. There was no dedicated bar staff, instead waitresses were called from the dining room.
The hotel is located in a very nice natural environment.
The service and the unusual architecture The front entrance garden and car park look very shabby and unkept which belies the smartness and comfort of the hotel inside.
The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was excellent. The only problem with the hotel is that it is a long walk into the town main square.
Friendly staff - good location - excellen value
Very pleasant hotel, excellent parking, good facilities.
Hotel very good value, room nicely presented with aircon, staff vey friendly. Restaurant very expensive and poor food.
Very good location, very clean, staff very helpful and friendly No faults found
The price/quality relation is ok. Was not a much to choose in the breakfast.
Convenient to motorway. Very clean. Good restaurant.
nothing it was an overnight stop between uk and portugal
spacious rooms, good facilities, excellent and silent a/c, great value for money its rather distant from the city centre, but we new that before booking
easy relaxed atmosphere.comfortable room.basic but good breakfast. easy and free parking. Town a good walk away
I particularly liked the location of the hotel and the fact that there was room to prk my car
clean, friendly staff
parking on site. easy walk into town. pleasant room
very good value
The hotel and its position
Friendly and helpful staff The restaurant food was lower standard than expected
Restaurant Food. Hotel Bar was like a cafe in a port - smoky & unpleasant. The Internet did not work either in the room or on the available computer terminal. We did not like the use of Plastic Matress Protectors . The outside could be improved for walking by additional lighting. We hadn't expected the hotel to be so far out of town, had we srayed at the other comparable hotels, we could have seen more othe town
I liked the cleanliness, the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff and the price. It's a very nice 3 plus hotel stay. It's a quiet location with some walking trails and hill country views away from hustle bustle but a short 5 to 10 minute drive to Plasencia. There is a restaurant on site but the hours of operation were not convenient. I had dinner there once and I was the only person there. It appeared to be a nice an elegant restaurant. The service was great. It was late so I only had a salad. The server brought me an extra appetizer to try. Very nice. The location is away from everything but not too far. You will need a car to stay here.
The comfort In the restaurant only spanish speaking staff
The restaurant was excellent Hotel receptionist when we arrived was not very helpful
Friendly staff. Receptionists spoke some english and were very helpful with tourist information for the area. Food good in restaurant. Generally very good standard - would recommend. Hotel wel placed for tourists
Friendliness of staff
