Car parking costs extra!
Great location, in front on the castle. Very big rooms. Good price.
Beautiful hotel & room - everything absolutely impeccable
Staff welcome very professional. Room was excellent. Service overall was first class. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have experienced. Hotel parking costs were expensive and unkown to us there was free parking available around the Hotel area.
No breakfast before 7am.
good location to amenities, had secure underground parking although very expensive, only stayed the one night as was travelling through. when we booked on the site it said only 3 rooms remaining but hotel was empty, no bar open, also outside across the square there is a resturant called Godoy that is very nice unless you have the specials offered by the waiter, we did and they charged us 168 euros for a starter.
Very efficient and noiseless air-condition - very good. Rooms are very comfortable and give a quite spacious impression because they spot ultra high ceilings of around 4 meters. A 4 star house like these, especially if situated in Spain, should have a pool.
Excellent position, comfortable room, good breakfast, helpful staff Limited facilities due to refurbishment of dining room - a sense that this hotel did not offer such good value as others we expereinced
Very good location a short walk from the station and just across a square from the Palacio and gardens. Central and close to restaurants etc. If we had known how much there was to see in Aranjuez we would have stayed for two nights rather than one. Totally recommend.
The location of the hotel was right outside the Palace, shame about the residential building right next door that was covered in graffiti - we couldn't get our vehicles into their underground carpark as we have land rovers so we had no choice to use the on street carparking - which there was spaces to do but the area made us a bit cautious. To be fair nothing happened to the vehicles so all was well. A short walk away was town where we could get food and drinks, unfortunately the hotel restaurant was shut for the entire month of August so that was a bummer but its short term. Hotel was really gorgeous and I would stay there again though.
I think a trouser press would be useful,I also think that,if you wish to attract international travellers you should have a couple of English channel on the TV besides the news.Otherwise the hotel was good and the staff were very helpful, thank you.I have stayed in the Stirling highlander Hotel in Scotland which is a Barcello. No.
The spacious room was excellent and not a sound from the corridor or other rooms. Safe covered parking. Reception and bar staff excellent, but housekeeping was very lax. Bathroom floor not cleaned and bed not made up on second day.
large rooms easy parking very good breakfast 10 min. drive from centre
poor room temperature controls and lack of dining options
Lovely big room and huge bed, excellent restaurant and service The room could have been slightly cleaner
comfort, cleanliness, central to local town. Good food and good service. Check in procedure was easy and efficient. We were offered an upgrade to a more spacious room with balcony overlooking the golf course for only 20 euros per night. Well worth the extra. the cost of WI FI was in my opinion expensive at 6.50euros per hour
Friendly staff who went the extra step to help and assist. Good sized and very clean rooms. Good breakfast A bit too far out of town - a taxi ride rather than a walk
Room clean and modern, good kids play facility, breakfast excellent Food in the restuarant pricey for what it is, buffet is better. outside pool not available out of season. Kids not allowed in spa facilities.
Stayed with our son and his girl-friend. Excellent rooms, plenty of space, very clean and good facilities. Minor point that no facilities pool side, but no big deal. Planning further stay mid october - good mid point between ferry ports in the north and costa del sol.
The hotel was situated in a quiet area. The site was too remote from the town centre but was the only one available with parking facilities.
This Parador is one of the most impressive I have stayed in. The 17th century Convent ambience has been remarkably preserved..... lucky nuns in those days!! The front-desk staff could benefeit from refresher courses in customer care and how to handle small problems without displaying sarcastic arrogance.
The atmosphare, location and the service There is no parking on site
Beautiful parador and ideally located in the city center. Rooms too modern for parador style. A great plaza Mayor with possibility to dine on a balcony overlooking the plaza Mayor Not so much about the hotel itself, but during our stay the plaza Mayor was not so nice due to the build up of the podium for the bull fight later that week. That made the plaza Mayor for dining in the evening not the nicest place.
upgrade to a suit because they could not locate your booking at first. set in a beautifull town no
Garage was convenient but it took a couple of tries for us to understand the door system - two gates to pass through for security.
beautiful hotel in old convent in the nice village of Chinchon. we were very disappointed that although it was 27 degrees the swimming pool was closed due to 'end of season'.
Hotel in good location with excellent facilities quality of both dinner & breakfast were produced to a very high standard, we would strongly recommend this hotel staff were very helpfull No complaints at all
Very near the Palace
The bar and restaurant were both warm and welcoming on a wet November night. The breakfast was excellent - individually cooked bacon and eggs!
Good location. Good beds. Spa bath was very welcome after walking for hours! Decore is tired, especially in rooms and some ground floor areas eg broken floor tiles.
The room was warm and comfortable. The restuarant was closed, it did not state ths on the internet. No tea or coffee making in the rooms.
Spa Bath - Front Windows - Balcony No
Courteous and helpful staff, clean hotel, great location, free internet connection Bar and restaurant closed for staff holidays, no secure parking
A very pleasant hotel at excellent location with very nice staff (I would advice only better knowledge of foreign languages).
Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and well situated in town Only thing I didn't like was the beds in the double room were two single beds pushed together I prefer one double bed, plus the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
I liked that they offered free WIfi, I was expecting it to be wireless, but you needed to connect, but besides that this was very useful. The location of the hotel was great, only concern, not enough lighting in the bathrooms, Not a sound proof room, so when other guest come in late, the ego in the hallways is very loud, and this happens quite often making it difficult to sleep, especially if you are jet lagged
accommodating, friendly staff that took the extra steps to make sure we were well-taken care of. the room was tight for a family of four but comfortable
Beautifully decorated hotel in the centre of Chinchon. Great value for money. As with previous recommendations, do try their restaurant - the roast lamb is superb!!!
location brilliant, parking easy and not expensive, well appointed, room was a little noisy, but would request one overlooking garden next time!
We loved the town of Chinchon, and the location was very central. It had parking available The bathroom could have been cleaner. The night was warm, and it was too noisy outside to have the window open, and the air conditioning, although effective, was loud and disturbing.
Excellent town centre location but still quiet, free secure parking beneath the hotel, good value for money.
No central heating in bathrooms
Very pleasent city
Excellent room and parking facility, spotless and location.
We found the hotel delightful, across the road from the Paradore and almost as luxurious. The staff are lovely. The hotel is about 100 yards from the famous Plaza where there are many restaurants. Currently reception offers a discount voucher for one of the restaurants.
the restaurant is not in the hotel
The hotel is a self-contained house built around an internal courtyard which gives a feeling of security. The rooms were a very good blend of old style and new facilities. It was hard to get the attention of reception when we arrived because the hotel was all shut up even though we arrived during the 1 hour period that we had indicated. However it was siesta time and the staff were very good after that.
upon arrival looks ready for a facelift but inside very clean ,comfotable and staff very pleasant and helpfull.breakfast good ,would not hesitate to use again ,good on site parking ,handy to walk into town
The room and bathroom were spacious and well equipped. Pleasant garden area and close to the town centre. Nice hotel but lacks atmosphere.
It was quiet yet very near to all the main tourist attractions, we walked everywhere. A great stopover and well worth the visit
location, and access to a swimming pool the hotel was a little tired but very clean, and hotel staff were very nice, they could do more about advertising that the restaraunt is actually open there was no details about the restaraunt in the room
good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and wine very good value.
This is our third visit to this hotel. That says it all. We really like this hotel. Great location. Park up and walk everyhwere. The town is stunning. A world heritage site. Just so beautiful. Free parking at the hotel. Dog friendly. We plan to revisit in 2011. We have recommended this hotel to many friends ( with dogs) .
Closeness to Aranjuez attractions Food in general not that good
Location was excellent for an overnight stay, and to visit the city.
Conveniently situated en route north on Madrid, close to town and palace. So good for exploring. We enjoyed our dip in the pool. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was enormous. The breakfast was sad and not to be recommended.
Excellent location for visiting Aranuez and Palace. Useful as overnight stop travelling north/south, via Madrid. Very clean well furnished, stylish acccomodation. Lies between two busy roads. Needed to keep windows shut at all times.
It was clean and just as described. The problem that we had with the toilet flush was fixed straight away.
The room was a little too warm and I could not adjust the temperature.
Close to the main A4-E5 road south of Madrid. Good sized rooms. Helpful English speaking reception staff. Just little things like the knob on the shower diverter tap wasn't connected to the spindle, which created an unnecessary difficulty in taking a shower. We can never use the remote locking on our car because the frequency is jammed - probably by the nearby police station.
Handicapped Accessible, comfortable & clean and good location
Easy walk to main centre, the Palacio & the gardens. No. It is in a good location & on street parking outside. This facility not flagged in the hotel info though.
Once I'd found it, it was OK It was too hot and short of opening the skyight fully I had trouble bringing the temparature down during the night. The paperwork I had gave the address as Egido Don Manuel and address as Principe, 71. I came by public transport and, mistakenly walked from the station. It took me an hour to find the hotel. I don't speak Spanish. I kept asking for Egido Don Manuel (thinking Egido was another word for hotel) and getting blank looks and for Principe,71 and getting the same. When I finally arrived on Calle de Principe there were few numbers and when I arrived at number 71 I found it was called Hotel Don Manuel. Branding gone mad. I suggest you give the name as Hotel Don Manuel and the address as Calle de Principe, 71 to aid those of us with limited Spanish. Improved signage inthetownwould help too.
Close to shops and restaurants. the room was kept spotless the smell of toilets in the reception
High room temperature and refrigerating system not functional.
Good location, parking outside, rooms adequate but not overwhelming in any way. Places to eat walking distance. booked non smoking room and though marked as non smoking stank of smoke.
Clean, comfortable, nicely located. Room was close to reception and quite some noise from the corridor and the reception (phone!) could be heard.
Very large room and bathroom. Huge bed. Food was good but see bad points. Secure garage for €6. Restaurant was closed and had to eat in very noisy cafeteria. Shower would not turn off in the morning!
The room was comfortable and fairly clean Unfortunately there was a nasty smell in the bathroom and the water took a long time to run hot.The furniture and decoration were tired. The breakfast was poor offering very little choice.
the hotel was easy to find and had a very good bar attached to it. beds were uncomforable and only 1 pillow per person was supplied. Also the air conditioning system was very noisy
Large room. Quiet location Bath / Shower. No buffet breakfast as indicated
good location air cond poor, after it had been on for several it could not lower the temp lower that 27 degrees!
Fast check-in, in house bar and cafe, peaceful despite being on a main road.
Nothing 1 the fridge was locked 2 the breakfast was almost nonexistant 3 not one english speaking channel on the tv .4 room very very basic and shower very poorly fitted
We liked the proximity to the town and it was conveniently close to the motorway. We liked the centre of the old part of the town with the renovated Plaza Mayor. The underground car park was useful for us. The area round the hotel was rather run down. The breakfast served in the Cafeteria was rather disappointing for a 3 star hotel. It was ok for a 1 night stop.
A spacious comfortable room. Easy access, secure parking for a loaded car. Restaurants close by. Automatic sliding doors were directly under our room & were busy & noisy. Breakfast was minimalist!
Situated just outside a very interresting village - but no information in room as to what was available in the village Had to send back one meal out of two becaause steal was cold. Other meal OK. No apparent access available to swimming pool - though we gave up easily!
Rooms were charming and immaculate...lots of antiques. Quiet area out of town. Price was great for one night...45 minutes from airport. We were there in late may...only one other hotel guest...pool not open nor was restaurant. ..no internet!! Not walkable to town where parking is impossible.
The setting for this hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff speak little English which made for a truly Spanish experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who likes serene settings and traditional Spanish Hospitality.
We were able to change the booking several times without difficulty or penalty. The swimming pool looked attractive but we did not have the time to use it. We were able to dine at a time of our choosing. The absence of a lift.
The location was good with a nice pool but the bad weather meant we could not use it. apart from the two of us the only other guests were a conference party which was kept seperate. We were the only guest staying in the hotel which meant there was no atmosphere, we were the only diners in the evening as well. food quality was only average but expensive, we left without eating breafast as a table had been set in the reception area for 2 people. Very dissappointed.
Fantastic large pool, great for kids -- though oddly they dont normally provide pool towels. It was about 1.5 km outside the old city, a nice walk, but no regular shuttle service so you need to rely on taxis. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A very nice place to relax and get away.
It was extremely pleasant location and very comfortable rooms, etc. Great side trip from Madrid or instead of staying in the city. The town nearby is fantastic too.
I have stayed at this hotel before. I tend to base myself there whenever I have a few things to do around the south of Madrid, as it's a very different experience from staying in Madrid itself. I like its location in the countryside (albeit as part of an urbanizacion) but also close to Chinchon, which has a number of good restaurants. There's a nice pool for relaxing beside when the weather is good. Some of the double rooms are quite small - okay for someone on their own, not so good for a couple.
Very good location for the Royal Palace and the Gardens. Very good breakfast, elegantly served. No parking available, but plenty in the surrounding streets. Did not like the curtain partition to the bathroom from the room
Basic but comfortable modern rooms. Looks family-run. Basic continental breakfast - nice and fresh. Great location. The staff could have been a little friendlier. Shower could have done with a light...
