Nice location off the main highway area...we were only staying for one night as we continued our road trip through Europe, but this was perfect for a night of rest. The restaurant was full that evening, as they were hosting an event of some kind...we simply drove to the shopping center about a mile away and ate at a really great Chinese restaurant. The kids loved the pool, open till 11 p.m. Was a nice place to catch your breath before continuing on...
The staff at reception and restaurant was very friendly and accomodating. The bar was not staffed at night.
We always use this hotel during our trip to Alps or for other trips. Great advantage is the location close to highways for our purpose.
Comfortable bed, nice room expensive breakfast, was difficult for us to find
I travelled with husband and elderly mother. When we arrived at the hotel a prostitute was entering the hotel the bed - bruised shins, pillows, lacking atmosphere, poor food, there were flies on the salad bar
Nice room, nice view.
We were only there one night It was in need or refurbishment. It could especially benefit from new carpets
The size of the room was good and had a nice picture window looking towards the mountains if you got the upgraded room. The staff was not very helpful, the location was hard to find, there was no coffee in the rooms or minibar/refrigerator, the A/C did not work very good. The bed was not very comfortable and was well worn and the blanket(no sheets) was very heavy for the time of year. I would not classify this as a three star hotel.
Good food. Service was great especially as we arrived late.
Convenient location, Excelent breakfast
Was easy access to Geneva. The neighborhood was not very nice.
The photos in the site are nothing like the reality. Also the hygiene was awful as there were cocoragies on the sheets. The most outragious of all was that although an amount was reserved to my card as a guarantee they asked to prepay our stay before they deliver us our key. Moreover the location of the hotel was bad as it didn't seem safe and the appearance of the loby, the corridors and the outside of the hotel was really ugly.My room was on the first floor, the windows were broken and somebody could have easily climbed in and rob us.Also the noise of the street kept me awake all night.
there was small compact kitchen with all useful utensils light was not working in one of the rooms and the bedroom door would not close in other room.
It's near to the swiss borders & in about 15 minutes you'll be in Geneva
good services no
The lady in reception was very friendly and helpful Our room smelt of urine (we can only assume from a dog kept in the room at some stage) - it was quite disgusting. We also had no washing facilities (cloth, detergent) even though there was a sink. I asked at reception but they couldn't find any. If you are providing self-contained rooms, this should be provided as a minimum
The room was clean and the pentry was convenience for self cooking. There was a big gap in the middle of the beds because the double bed actually was a combination of two signle beds.
Good location, a super market close by, only 300 meters from Swiss border, so you can park your car at the hotel and walk to border and take tram to go to geneva, which takes only 10 min. secure car parking is expensive at 9 euro a day.
It provides great accommodation for people traveling by car, it is safe, clean, close to Geneva and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good.
the very nice and competent personnel perhaps a list of places to eat, especially on Sunday evenings when the restaurant next door is closed
The guy at the reception really worked hard to make me feel welcome. Good access to Geneva and nearby highway grid. Room equipped with a kettle, like all other Kyriads. Shopping center within a 5 minute drive. Perfect if you travel by car. Big parking, but it gets crowded in the evening due to nearby restaurants. Not the best location if you're without a car. Toilet/shower pod looks and feels cheap like in a motorhome, spoiling an otherwise great facility.
Courtesy of staff and clean room The comfort is really basic. won't recommend for a long stay
The location and the the rooms that looks like single bungalows The breakfast is too expensive
Very helpful staff. Rates were extremely reasonable. My stay at this location was excellent. I found the staff helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. This was a very positive experience. We happened to drive in from a location which made it easy to find the hotel. Adfter we went into town we almost didn't make it back. I suggest a very detailed map for guests posted on the internet. It could have been a big problem if we came from Geneva.
Nothing. I didn't like anything except for the breakfast that was given to me complimentary for the inconvenience they caused me upon arrival. the location is industrial, in front of factories with nothing that you can walk to. room felt as if it was a mobile home.
The desk man was very kind and the hotel environment was comfortable. It could be nice if there were refrigerator.
The hotel was much easier to access then expected, even if it is located a bit outside of Geneva city, in a nice rural area. People working for the hotel were of a great help and very welcoming. We were nicely impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. That was a pleasure to stay there.
Location for where I wanted. Sixe of rooms is better than average and the staff more helpful, definately a hotel i would recommend
It is a nice and clean hotel about 15 minutes by car to Geneva city center, It is a nice budget option and has free parking. The staff is very friendly. There is a computer in the lobby with free internet access. They do not allow you to bring anything to eat and drink in your room appart from these you buy from them
Nice concierge, hotel parking place free of charge No air condition
Very Friendly personal in Reception. Easy-free parking. restaurants around. Easy access from highways. public transport for Geneve not easy to use and after 22.00 hours from Geneve only by taxi! Annemasse town is for eat & sleep. all action is in Geneve!
friendliness fairness and cleaness was a bit far from Geneva
Very nice and helpful staff (or the owner?) who gave us a city map of Geneva and show us the way to the down town of the city (which was only 15 minutes' drive), extremely clean and spaciously room and bathroom, good and free parking
comfort, good parking, good internet, all information about hotel in rooms available
Larger rooms compared to most hotels in Geneva. Staff were very nice and helpful. A lamp or other lighting is need on desks in hotel rooms.
very nice hotel, but located very far from center of Geneve, and vas very difficult to find it
Room was simple, yet clean and quiet. Breakfast was pretty good and personnel were polite and helpful. The location is pretty close to Geneva, so if you are a tourist on a budget, it is a good option for spending the night. Lots of (free) parking also around the hotel. Overall, good value for the money.
The restaurant was excellent, the hotel was very warm The room was a little jaded and would be improved by repainting
The TV in the hotel room is above the tea making facilities which caused me to bang my head on the corner of the TV metal bracket, I suggest the tea making facilities are moved away from underneath the TV
Nice hotel staff
location was slightly moe industrial than anticipated
The Hotel very close by car to Geneva. Satisfied breakfest The room was very small (I mean really small!) If you want to eat in the evening or dinner in hotel restoran don't expect something good - the staff is not very friendly and don't understand english
Staff very friendly and helped me finding train times even when the reception was very busy.
Room was simple but functionally furnished. Value for money was very good (hotels in France are much cheaper than in Geneva). Internet access was fast and free of charge. Staff was friendly. There's a huge supermarket in walking distance. Cleanliness of the room could be better! Three of four lamps in the room were not working. Hotel is situated on a rather highly frequented road (industry area).
Adequate parking for automobiles. Close to two supermarkets. Cafe on site. Almost impossible to find, even with driving directions. Poor ventilation and no air conditioning.
We were very impressed with the restaurant manager, Tierry, who looked after us so well during our stay and the food was excellent. The hotel is very conveniently placed for skiing and has a comfortable lounge area with views of the slopes.
great staff, fantastic facilities. very warm summer nights, no fans to help keep the room cool.
Very clean and excellent location Could really have done with a fridge. One suplied at l'ours blanc. Breakfast should have been included in already expensive rate.
Nice rooms. Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel was well laid out; Room was not huge, but nicely decorated, with pleasant bathroom; Proximity to Yvoire was good, far enough out not to be in tourist bustle, close enough for walk-in. Evening meal was relaxed experience, menu was good, food lived up to expectations. Breakfast was not extensive but was fine. Car parking good. No
Very nice hotel I would stay there again!
The location was superb and excellent for family visiting Geneva and want to see the most of Geneva city and country side. Beautiful view. The drive is awsome and the children loved to walk around the lake and landscape. It was a wonderful stay. Personnel dont speak much english but you can sort that out. The rooms are quite small so if you plan to stay, make sure you have enough space for everyone.
Staff were excellent, breakfast choice, room design, location next to medieval village and relaxtion feel especially poolside Perhaps a bit on the expenisive side
Everything was well run and all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The attention to detail, especially to the children
Excellent staff and facilities. Well located for the bus stops and easy walk to town and the nearest telecabin. Would definitely stay there again. The beds were a bit small.
Nice interior design. Friendly staff. No
Convenient, nice rooms, great breakfasts.
Front desk staff and owner could not have been more helpful, nice breakfast each morning (fresh apricots, fresh plums, eggs cooked to order, local cheeses, baked goods), beautiful location, owners have a yellow lab whom my child adored, room was rustic but very charming, clean, and nicely done, good bed, nice balcony for sitting and looking out. Internet service, while free, was spotty, so almost impossible to stay connected. Parking is tight (free but not enough available spaces for all guests). No air conditioning. Windows don't open in the two-story room, but the door to the balcony provided some relief. However, my son who slept upstairs with no opening windows or door, was very hot (in July), so we had to move his mattress downstairs on the second night.
Lovely hotel, short walk to main part of town. Staff were friendly and very forgiving of our not being able to speak the local language. The facilities were great and well maintained. The rooms were unbearably hot in the afternoon however we were experiencing a bit of a heat wave. The inside pool temp was too cold (the outside pool was lovely though). We were not able to take advantage of the great onsite restaurant as they didn't open until 7:30pm which was too late for our toddler.
A well run, friendly and relaxed hotel with good amenities and fantastic setting. Madame Directrice was a little unfriendly when we pointed out that they had charged us for too many breakfasts.
Hotel owner was the friendliest ever - he was so nice! Lovely outdoor pool, lovely view from room and breakfast room. Very friendly hotel - will definitely return and recommend to friends
Bed uncomfortable, pillows big, hard and not down or feather. Room not what we expected (very small, not what we call south facing except on balcony).
Ouick and very good breakfirst.Good restaurang. Fast service. Nice staff.
Extremely comfortable beds, was a stopover for us and is in the perfect position for a 1 night stopover. It is in the process of being updated. looks a bit drab when you first walk in but the rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient. The service in the restaurant was good. The set menu price was reasonable. On the whole a pleasant stopover. The communal areas seemed a bit run down - especially the hallways which were badly carpeted and poorly lit. The restaurant set menu was a bit hit and miss.
location near motorway Food was of average standard and took a long time to arrive on our only nights stay.
Space and equipment in the room. Good table for paper works and PC works. Parking space is very convenient. The area is quiet (no noise). Easy to reach from the highway. Location is not far from Geneva. Good quality / cost ratio. I have been there even in the past, I will probably go there again. internet WIFI did not work perfectly. The cleaning personnel should not enter the room if the gues did not check out yet.
The receptionist were very polite and spoke English. Whilest making an allowance for the ongoing refurbishment of corridors and stairs, the carpet in the room was very dirty and impregnated in some sort of grease near the threshold to the bathroom. There wasm't a bidet either. The restaurant was closed too.
Convenient, freindly worn out carpet
Good location near the motorway, easy to find. Breakfast was good. Good value for money. The bar was closed at 10:45pm so we could not buy a drink. As this hotel is near the motorway they should expect people stopping in transit who might be late (our flight to Geneva was 3 hours late) and 10:45 is a bit early to stop selling drinks at the bar.
Hard to find. The icon on your map is about 300 meters off the mark and on the wrong street.
Beautiful view of lake and garden. Breakfast was really poor. only a few limited food for 3days all same menu.
Beautiful grounds and access to the lake including a pier. Fantastic old castle. Dinner here is very expensive. For some people, the seven flights of stairs (some up, some down) to access our room might be undoable even with a porter to carry the baggage. We did not really have a problem with this because an elevator can't always be avail in such a building.
Location Very expensive for the facilities
Location and beautiful views from room; size of room; pleasant bathroom; breakfast at lake edge. Mezzanine level sleeping difficult as it was such a hot night - impossible to leave windows open due to insects and there is no ac. Impossible to regulate temperature of water easily - in sink and shower the dominant temperature was roasting hot.
Very few hotels are actually on Lake Geneva either on the Swiss or Fremch sides of the lake, Chateau De Coudree is, you are only a few steps away from the lakes edge to take a drink and admire the view or swim in the lake. The restaurant food is very good if a little on the expensive side, however the chairs are not very comfortable particulary if you lean back.
Beautiful setting right on the lake, great food inc. breakfast outdoors by the lake! The Chateau is new to Booking.com & we reserved a "standard" room because the rate was so good-we found ourselves in a "chalet," not in the castle. Our first reaction was-is this a joke! The "chalet" was a rundown wooden structure away from the hotel & the lake w/shabby carpeting & lampshades that were wobbly or ripped! What made us think the hotel took this seriously was the beautifully appointed bathroom & WC room. They should definately make future patrons aware of what they're getting for the money-others may not be amused! We chose to make the best of it as the castle rooms all started at 258 Euros/night and we loved being on the lake.
The castle is as advertised, authentic and right on the lake. Interesting rooms, friendly staff (who speak English), beautiful gardens. it would be a great spot for a wedding or family function. If traveling with kids, suggest that you don't go to the restaurant for dinner. It's too expensive and fussy for the children. I also didn't like the fact that the swimming pool is located next to the restaurant - I was very aware of how loud my kids are (which doesn't make for a relaxing evening for anyone).
The age and history of the chateau was fabulous along with the lake location. Too bad no elevator, but we realize it was 1500 years ago that it was built. no elevator.
The building is old but well maintained and the staff are good and friendly. The room was clean. The only little negative point was the fact that there was only ony socket in the room.
excellent service, very very friendly and helpful staff
