Pros: One feels at home with Isabelle and Gilles! Excellent welcome and guidance for a great enjoyment of the magnificent surroundings. Breakfast in the garden is a glorious start of the day...
Pros: le petit dejeuner
Cons: We were surprised, being welcomed very warmly the first day and then a shift in the energy. Maybe because we didnt come on time for the breakfast?

Pros: Due to some unexpected constraints, we are arrived after 10. PM but the host has been very kind with us. A great location.
Pros: The owner was so nice
Pros: Calm location with beautiful views. Owner is friendly.
Cons: The gite is very hard to reach and not well located for visiting the surrounding tourist spots. No soap nor towels were provided. Car had to be parked far away from the gite with the owner providing taxi services to and from the car which meant we did not have immediate access to our car.
Pros: Wonderful views, friendly host, and the bathroom was fitted to a high standard. Lovely family dog and cold beer on arrival!
Cons: The property is 'off the beaten track , but some will prefer that. No cafes or restaurants nearby. Perhaps more importantly, the route to the property is an unmade Road, and is steep in parts and very slippery after rainfall. Not for nervous drivers.
Pros: The cottage is cooling. Bathroom, well renovated, is clean, bright and spacious. Breakfast with homemade bread and marmalade, coffee & juice in the garden , with the mountains as backdrop and my front view, is one of the best breakfast experiences ever. This place exudes tranquility and bliss.
Cons: There are no restaurants. But Michel, the host offered and provided grocery possibilities.
Pros: Very remote and an adventure to get to the site
Cons: To find the site is a real challenge
Pros: Nature, very clean, amazing place to stay if you are looking for natural place not like hotel room.
With a stay at Hotel Des Alpes in Guillaumes, you'll be a 5-minute drive from Valberg and 8 minutes from Daluis Gorge.
Pros: Everything was new, clean, modern, comfortable and well thought of. Kitchen is small but amazingly equipped with everything. The bathroom is large and comfortable, same with the bed. Beautiful light in the morning and very well lit at night. Breakfast in the balcony was a definite highlight.
Cons: The access is quite confusing, you have to go through the bar/kiosk that faces the street into a side door that leads to the stairs. Once there everything works perfectly and you get access to another foot that goes directly into the street for easier and free access whenever you want. We didn't know but we came in early May and it was low season, there was nothing open to have dinner. Had to drive to Valberg, 20min away. Can't complain anyway because the road is amazing. Advice if you don't want to drive, buy some food at the groceries 1 block away and eat in the balcony of your room facing the mountains.
Pros: Very clean, great location, very gracious hosts. Practical kitchenette. Lovely small balcony overlooking central square of charming village.
Cons: All good. We immediately booked another night.
Pros: The lovely terrace overlooking the charming village square. The wonderful and helpful owners.
Pros: Meticulously clean. A modern bathroom, most likely renovated pretty recently. Air conditioner, which we did not even expect and didn’t have to use, but it is nice that it is there. Great value. If we travel in the area we would definitely like to stay there again.
Pros: Good breakfast, nice location in a quite and calm town.
Cons: Staff does not speak any English or German, just French, so communication is rather difficult for non-French speakers.
Pros: The balcony. The view. The very friendly owner. The friendly bar staff and their customers. The town.
Pros: Beautiful room with a well appointed kitchen. Convivial café below. Well run by the “angel of Guillaume.”
Pros: Room was small but had everything it needed, even a Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee. Bathroom and toilet was separate, which is a bonus, room had AC and you couldn't hear the bar downstairs.
Cons: Tabac bar downstairs is very practical but service is a bit slow.
Pros: We were extremely surprised during our stay. You see a bar/cafe/hotel in one in a small village and go inside. Full of locals and a French only speaking owner. Very friendly guy, a nice renovated cosy room and a very good restaurant across the street. Breakfast was one of the best we have had (in France to mention!!). Big fresh croissant and chocolate rolls, good coffee and juice. A place to recommend.
Pros: It was the only hotel open in that area at the beguining of june..... Very calm and quite place to sleep.
Cons: It wasn´t the best money/quality deal in our trip.
Pros: The staff did organise some extra stuff for me
Cons: everything is very small (Stairs, Bedroom, Bathroom, Furnitures). Everything is very old. the hotel is very noisy.
Pros: The staff was very pleasant. For one night it was OK but we probably wouldn't be able to survive next night.
Cons: The hotel is generally worn off. The mattrasse we had in our bed was rather torturing device than something one is supposed to sleep on.
Pros: Very friendly staff , automatic help with carrying cases to and from the room. Excellent tips for restaurants.
Cons: A little dated in decor and too much light pollution from the road. Heavier curtains would be great.
Pros: No frills and somewhat dated...but I didn't mind at all. Very helpful staff and welcoming atmosphere. Valberg itself pleasant enough and would be a good place to learn but Auron, further north, better bet if you are an intermediate skier
Pros: Exceptional clean old school charm with very helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing to dislike old school French mountain hotel.
Pros: Lovely friendly staff, and great homemade food
Pros: It was perfect! Definitely coming back.

Pros: Excellent location

Pros: Hotel has good location for nice walking routes, pleasant staff
Cons: A studio room with self catering was too small for two persons. Next time a bigger room will be selected
Pros: Great location
Pros: Location was excellent near to slopes, shops and restaurants.
Cons: Small and ver compact. Bathroom had mould in shower.
Pros: No better location: right in the centre, by the slopes and very quiet at night.

Cons: Concierge only opens at 1600
Pros: Location and facilities for self contained apartment
Cons: Host was a bit rude when I said I did not receive any email saying key early pick up time was 1130 - 1200. Eventually she came and brought the keys however she hung up the phone to me whilst I was still talking to her. Lacking customer service focus.

Pros: I particularly liked buffet breakfast, mountain view from the window, quiet location and snow-white bed linen!!!
Cons: I was a little disappointed with the size of the bathroom: the shower and the basin are too small.
Pros: very motocyle friendly Hotel - at Arrival some Boys tinkered on their 2stroke and we get the biggest Garage ever for our 2 motocycles (it is more a hall under the Hotel so bicycler and motocycler and any other with some gear will find here a safe and dry place) the staff is very friendly the beds are comfy so we had a relaxed night and a tasty breakfast
Pros: Very friendly, great location and value. Good breakfast
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is much nicer than the pictures make it out to be. The breakfast was wonderful, all the food was delicious. The staff is extremely nice and helpful.
Cons: The bathroom sink was hard to wash my face and brush my teeth in because of how it’s configured with the floating shelf. Also there was a towel rack in the headspace for tall men standing over the toilet
Pros: Breakfast was good 8 (on 4-10 scale). The location was peaceful even it was near center of Valberg. We had short hike to the hill top. The wiew was getting better the higher we climbed.
Pros: Good location, good breakfast Was offered parking for motorbikes in a garage but not needed
Pros: Outstanding location, good breakfast.
Cons: Why bother to give WiFi password if WiFi doesn't work?
Pros: It’s very central and close to the slopes so perfect for what we were after, breakfast was delicious and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Cons: Breakfast could have included hot food perhaps?
Pros: The ladies working at the hotel were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Views from the hotel simply amazing facing the mountains and the ski lanes. Rooms very tidy, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and the common room very cosy.
Pros: the hotel was very good the view to the front was perfect , the foods was very good and the service was good , this was a good hotel
Cons: there was nothing , but Booking .com you told me the hotel was fully booked when I was looking at it , and every before I went away I was checking it and you saying it was book , I can tell you that this was 100% wrong and you really should not be saying such thing as it was just me and my friend in 2 room and she had no other booking . this is really not good working practice and you should stop doing this . not happy with booking .com
Pros: - location
Cons: - price of the breakfast
Pros: We have stayed many times Valberg so it was really just a place to sleep - clean comfortable beds, spacious nice staff and breakfast
Pros: Great staff and location
Cons: Breakfast was standard continental style with not options. Bread & jam does not fuel a cyclist for a day in the mountains
