personable staff and they were very helpful Rooms are comfortable and vey quiet. Air con is very quiet also and makes for a good night sleep. We use this hotel on our way south and it is very good value for money
convenient location, very central, nnicely appointed
The location is very ggod.
Nice clean room, excellent location, friendly staff Difficult to reach because of road construction.
The hotel located directly in the city center near the cathedral. The restaurant in the hotel provides low quality "fast food like" meals for high prices. In general the food is not fresh and of low quality and tasteless. The rooms offered for families are small and of low comfort.
Poor information provided at check in
The location is absolutely the best and most convenient. We were initially assigned a room next to the heating shaft (any room ending in ..27, like 327, 827, 627). A low frequency high pulsating drumming was unbearable. They moved us to a new room immediately.
pleasant hotel in an excellent location. ideal for exploring reims and the champagne region.
i thought the pool area was a bit stark and needed brightening up - also the water was extremely cold - however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would visit again
Location near the centre of town Very little assistance with tourism help. Told where cathedral was and that was all
I liked that it was very centrally located to the main hub! :) I wished they accepted the chèques vacances; most every hotel we have stayed at, accepts these except this one! :(
Easily accessed from the motorway, very centrally placed hotel, imaginative use of space to create underground carpark (secure) and rooftop restaurant with marvellous cathedral view
walking distance to town centre, clean well maintained room and parking avaliable.
Staff were great. Room very clean, comfortable. Hotel in great location, close to shopping, station, Champagne houses. Late checkout.
room was clean and comfortable bathroom was unpleasant.Mould on tiles and shower curtain, sink damaged nd stained. Road outside of hotel dug up and therefor made access difficult
easy to find, close to city center (but the city itself is not so big)) municipal road reconstruction is taking place right in front of the hotel; in our booking we asked for the non smoking room, but were put in a smoking one (and on a smoking floor) without any comments - not so pleasant to wake up in the morning smelling smoke coming from the neighbour balcony(((; and finally! - as every tourist knows, we had a special "do not disturb" sign and once we went to have breakfast and planned to return to the room right after it, we hung it outside the door. What was our shock when we opened the door and discovered a maid in the room in the middle of the cleaning process!!! What are these signs made for???
Very central. Car parking facility available. Comfortable and clean Breakfast too expensive.
construction in front of the hotel entrance, vey hard time accessing the hotel, parking in an elevator, very dated hotel, dark
The view from the roof top resturant is lovely. Breakfast is good. Location is excellent to visit places of interest like the cathedral. Car park space is a bit small.
The room facilities were above expectation for a city centre hotel booked at short notice and at such a reasonable price.
the quality of the beds was excellent. I have a bad back and woke up everymorning without a problem. the hotel was clean, modern and only 5 min from the main drag. the temperature in the room couldn't be regulated properly. opening the windows on the street side is was not really an option. The breakfast was wierd. the bread was good, but the toppings were 'interesting'....
Good use of space in the rooms which included many facilities such as tea/coffee making, fridge, microwave and hairdryer. Breakfast was lovely with a varied and unusual range of foods and dishes. Staff were extremely helpful (in guiding us by phone to the hotel as half of Reims seems to be cut off due to ongoing works on the tram and also in finding and returning to us a little travel radio we forgot when we left). Also very conveniently located near the town centre.
The hotel is very new, well designed, clean and tidy. The situation is a little way outside the town thus requiring somewhat of a trek through much building and construction work (tramway!), and the use of a subway into the railway station, for access to the town. We got used to it after a couple of days but it could be a considerable handicap to some. Excellent, safe car parking. No restaurant or catering other than the "designer" breakfast arrangement which did not suit us, and was, we thought, very much over priced for the content.
Excellent facilities, friendly staff, large room sizes, well located.
The suite was marvelous, very comfortable and the staff very helpful. The location was a little out of the way.
Very comfortable room Staff mislead us over the cost of the car park next to the hotel
Limited but free parking next door. Public paid parking near if in house parking is full. Clean 'modern minimalist' rooms with dividing curtain for 3/4th bed. None that we noticed
Exactly what I wanted after a long drive from Liverpool. No
Well-appointed rooms & very clean; comfortable bed with enough pillows! Great shower facility. Cleverly thought out reception area, minimum of staff but all very helpful. Excellent breakfast, had fun choosing variety of good options. Also watched film - great idea to have these available for free viewing. Paper cups in room to make tea or coffee. No ordinary milk, just one cap of heavy/creamy milk offered was not enough, even for one cup.
Geen restaurand en bar
Reasonably good location about 1km from Epernay. Very good quality and sized accommodation for a European hotel. The credit card we provided to booking.com as guarantee was debited for accommoation cost by the hotel at the time of booking. This is practice counter to any other hotel that we have booked online or otherwise, usual practice is for payment to be made at the end of the stay. This caused us extra currency exchange expense as the card we provided to booking.com as guarantee was not the one we use for payments. We consider this practice unacceptable and probably illegal as we had authorised booking.com to debit the card in the case of default, the hotel had no authority to debit the card. Also, most European hotels we have booked online include breakfast in their tariff. This was not the case with La Villa Eugene who charged EUR17 extra p
great location and parking, clean rooms, helpful staff. Good breakfast except coffee tasted like it had been warmed for several hours beds too firm for my taste, room temperature quite warm even when heat is turned down/off. Had to leave window open, traffic noise. when staying in the front rooms of the hotel
This Hotel is exceptional value for money and is a prime position. Not one thing
We were upgraded to a superior room
lovely rooms that are large and comfortable. beautiful restoration and breakfast room. at far end of the avenue so bit further to walk than expected but not impossible
The Front Desk staff was exceptionally well versed and helpful. Help schedule tours, gave great advice reagrding places to go and eat. Very Professsional.
extremely friendly and helpful staff, and all the champagne!
The room was very large and beautifully decorated. The breakfast room was also delightful and the breakfast was delicious. It was a shame to have an indoor pool that was not heated.
Room good size, free parking out back, BBC/CNN on tv Not terrific for non French speakers, but they try. Breakfast was good, but seemed a little expensive.
Location was excellent and good breakfast in the room
Overpriced food & drinks.
Helpful staff WiFi was unstable in our room.
good rooms difficult to negotiate one way system around hotel
Large comfortable bed Height restriction on car park. 1.80m
What you see is what you get. Don't expect more and you're ok. Smelly corridors, not a very cosy hotel
Clean, reasonable prices, near the conference center The breakfast is same everyday.
Friendly and helpful staff Slow service in the bar
Location was good. Breakfast was good. My non smoking room smelt of cigarettes
Stop over on drive down to Italy. Close to the motorway but well designed with pool and dining area at the back which was very peaceful and surprizingly good
We were very pleased with the hotel. The evening meal had a greater choice than our previous visit. The breakfast had a wide choice including a hot buffet. The room was very large and clean. An ideal location being within a minute of junction 22 Autoroute.
Friendliness of staff, quality of food and wine, large grassy area at the back for us to exercise our 2 dogs.
Very family friendly - double sofa bed in addition to the main bed, welcome toy for the kids, free buffet breakfast for kids, and a child friendly restaurant next door. Not enough dustbins in the room and bathrooms!
Very nice rooms and food was very good Long walk from reception
Efficiency of staff
We have stayed at this hotel in the past and have found it to be perfect for us as a family. We intend to visit again next year. None
Very friendly and efficient staff. Great service
Location and facilities were both very good. Room was as promised, and staff were very friendly. Nothing at all.
The rooms are reasonably comfy and the hotel has its own bar, restaurant and swimming pool, plus a nice lawn area that you can sit out on. It has no lift, and only a handful of rooms that are accessible without using the stairs, so it's not ideal for those with pushchairs or wheelchairs. The bar and the restaurant are pricey.
I would certainly stay here again. It has a bit of a qurky feel about the hotel which we really liked. We had a luxe room which was large and the bathroom and toiletries where fabulous. It was also quiet which the motorised blinds probably helped to achieve. As well as being near the town centre, it is very handy for tours around several of the champagne houses too I am not sure I would opt for breakfast again though, it was nice, but ridiculously expensive
The beautiful surroundings and furnishing of the hotel.
Very comfortable stay here. Room was very clean, well-designed and big enough for two persons, and the bathroom was also very clean and there were enough amenities. I traveled from Belgium by my car, and my car window got dirty, but the next morning I found it cleaned. I felt execellent hospitality. When I arrived the hotel, I could not find where I could part. It would be better if a sign to part is displayed at the entrance.
Good to have off street private car parking. Bedroom and bathroom were of a reasonable size. WiFi access was good. Glad we didn't pay full rate for hotel stay. Most of the staff were helpfull, polite and courteous, one definate exception. Petit dejeuner poor value. Hotel very dark. Nowhere to put towels in bathroom. Le Millenaire restaurant is not next door - but, 10-15 minutes walk away.
We were treated as Kings. More than pleasant treatment from staff. Very personalised service and care. NO.
Nice quaint older building with a homey feel. Good location, quiet. Free parking. Attentive and very helpful staff.
Friendly staff, secure parking air conditioning was inadequate, small room
Beautiful old world decor, kind and very helpful staff, perfectly located within short walk to ville,
The old style hotel in a calm place, still close to the downtown. The staff was very helpful and polite. I had some difficulties to get to the car park area within the hotel with my big gar. The entry is slightly narrow.
Excellent room facilites. Friendly & helpful staff. Location slightly awkward to find. A bit of a walk to decent restaurants.
Secure parking, and easy to locate from the motorway. When sofa bed converted to sleep 3 in the room, we had to climb over the bed to get in and around the room.
Hotel is within wolking distance from City center and Cathedral. Easy parking in streets around the hotel. Friendly Hotel staff.
Within easy walking distance of the centre of Reims
Close to city center Noisy street, twin room (although double was requested), hevily smoked room (non-smoking was specifically requested), no staff attempt even to open window/refresh air. Sleepless night as a result.
The food and drink was of good quality and reasonably priced when compared to nearby restaurants. The twin room was too small for two people and felt a little 'cramped'. The bathroom was ample in size, clean but the extractor fan was either inefficient or broken. The public rooms were fine, but the corridors were dirty (cobwebs) and these and bedrroms were in need of re-decoration.
I was first put in a room facing the highway interchange (which I didn't realize would be so close to the hotel!) but when I complained I was offered a quite room to the quieter backside immediately. The hotel is close to the cathedreal and not too far from the shops. Easy to find when coming by car. Charged different price for Tuesday night then for Wednesday night -- shuold have been the same
Easy to walk to city centre.Good car park.fair priced rooms.Breakfast good. Room a bit "tight" with 3 beds.
not far from the city center, view on the cathedral from our room, nice comfortable beds bathroom was a little bit dated,
The friendliness of the staff and the how they were always able to help. The room was also very clean and tidy and always well presented after cleaning. Sometimes was a lttle bit cold at night because of the heating not being on.
Ideal for a short stopover, close to the motorways and just a 10-minute-walk from the cathedral Unfriendly receptionist who still needs to learn to say 'bonjour' and smile. That woman definitely didn't like her job.
Friendly staff Not a very good breakfast
The restaurant is excellent
Rooms were very clean, staff were very helpful. Shower was poor - sprayed everywhere - and bath had been there for years - clean each day but was marked. The hotel itself is in the middle of a suburb, just off a main road - we'd expected it to be more secluded.
The restaurant was excellent.
Spacious room, helpful staff that spoke English
Location, Pool and Spa Food very expensive!
This was a wonderfull hotel, staff very welcoming, helpfull and attentive. The room was beautiful, the restaurant superb, the lounge relaxing and the gardens delightfull. We look forward to returning soon.
Too expensive for the qualitiy delivered especially in the restaurant ...
FRiendly reception and waiter at breakfast; lovely pool;good wine waiter Dinner was a disaster - not child friendly and no children's menu - although Reception still think they have one. Ambience was over formal
Evening meal was superb and service was very good. Breakfast also first rate. Had to move rooms because first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (despite requesting a non smoking room). No-one on reception when we wanted to check out. Garage was out of action but reception did not appear to know. ( We had requested a space when booking)
Staff were friendly, helpful, and very well trained. They were attentive without being intrusive. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, though I did feel that breakfast provided a very limited choice.
Everything. The staff were friendly and efficient, the facilities lovely, the restaurant excellent. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend La Briqueterie, and would certainly stay there again.
Beautiful accomodation in a great setting & great location. The staff were very helpful. The room was a little small, so value for money is questionable. The restaurant, while very good, is a little overpriced for what you get, compared to other similar establishments.
It is beautiful centre of the Champagne region, but however the price is like the Champagne bottle... but we had a great time!
excellent hotel, superb staff but very expensive especially the restaurant, but well worth the trip
The wonderful staff makes this hotel great. They helped us with parking and told us about a free show each evening. Even put my bottle of iced tea in the refrigerator over night. The people made us feel very welcomed The rooms are pretty small, but comfortable and air conditioned...a real find in the older cities apparently.
Space of the bedroom, location of the hotel and quality of the breakfast. Bathroom in poor condition.
The attitude of the booking in man named Julian was superb, his weloming attitude second to non, a real credit to the organisation and we enjoyed our stay The toilet bowl in our room no 215 was badly discolered in the bottom and never lesseened with any flushes, which really spoilt the overall good impression
Convenience to motorway. Friendly attitude of staff Did not realise that it did not have a restaurant. There were some really near but information in the hotel about local options would have been useful.
Very convenient for one nigt saty between Calais and Germany. Twin room at back of hotel was very noisy. Had requested 2 quiet rooms together and they were not. The gate to the secure parking was open at 3.30 a.m.
Very convenient for travelling. Surprisingly quiet
Good clean basic accomodation, handy for the motorway, easyu to find No tea or coffee in room
The hotel was very clean and in a good condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast food was all fresh and was plentiful A minor point, but there's no hotel Bar or Restaurant (although you can use those facilities at other hotels close by).
Very helpful staff, spoke good english.Excellent breakfast selection.spacious parking.easy to find. Will use again.
The bed was comfortable.
Easy to find and although it didn't have a restaurant, we had an excellent meal at the Hotel Ibis which was only a 2 minute walk away.
The Jean Moet is situated in the quaint central area of Epernay. It is a short walk to the best restaurants and champagne cellars in Epernay. It serves a simple yet enjoyable breakfast, and is impeccably clean. We had booked a standard room and were disappointed by its size. Definitely worth the 20 euros more to book a superior, which was significantly larger. The bathroom door was a sliding door, much like what you would see in a dressing room, so the privacy level was next to zero. Meanwhile the staff was not on point in telling me what champagne cellars were open on the off-season (even though the hotel was obviously totally booked even during the off season to visit the cellars... did they really not know Moet&Chandon was closed on Saturdays?). Lastly, there were problems with the hot water in our room, twice. The reception compensated by comping our two days of breakfasts.
The hotel is located in the centre of town. Very near the big champagne houses. The staff is very friendly and tried to arange a visit at a small champagne-house. The air was very dry in the room, so we had to sleep with the window open.
Friendliness, location, ambience. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Very slow wifi connection
Very comfortable Noise from other guests arriving back 2am
Good breakfast Room did not seem finished (after renovation?) a lot of little things were missing that you would normally expect, like hangers for your coats, vanity light.
The location was perfect in the centre of Reims, and not a noisy part so that is always a bonus. A bit of a strange set up realy, having booked 2 double rooms for two nights, on arrival this was confirmed but were informed that we had to pay up front before key cards were released, which was very unusual! but only payment for one night was taken. on arrival back the next day we were locked out of our rooms because we had not paid for the second night!! however this was resolved at reception, keys were issued and we paid on departure the next day. Our Room 101 had patio doors onto a exclusive courtyard area! which sounds fine, but it had been left with old and broken hotel and Garden furniture and was a complete mess, with nothing even to sit on!!! such a shame as the location of the Hotel lends it's self to a much better standard.
Very nice spacious rooms, centrally located. Spotlessly cleaned (including floors mopped!) every day!
Friendly staff and close proximity to city centre restauraunts and attractions. Hotel is situated on a busy, noisy street.
