Pros: Cozy, clean and well-kept B&B. Dominique is a very kind host and attentive to the needs of his guests. We felt at home, a delightful stay thanks to Dominique's suggestions of places to visit. We will be definitely be back.
Pros: The room was beautifully furnished, with a very comfortable bed and well designed ensuite. Our host was very friendly and helpful, and was happy to cater to our breakfast requests. Overall a fabulous place to stay.
Pros: Fabulous old house, 1727, restored to perfection, Dom8nic was a wonderful host would go back again and again
Pros: The owner is a very pleasant, friendly person. He took breakfast with us everyday and we had a lot of good chat. A superb room, decorated with very good taste.
Pros: Beautiful room (super comfy bed and lovely rainfall shower) and Dominique was an even nicer host who was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. He was very responsive over email and we were very appreciative of him allowing us a late check in, due to our delayed flight. It's such a lovely and quiet location and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. It was so nice to be able to sit outside and have breakfast while overlooking the French countryside. We would come back and stay in a heartbeat.
Cons: We can't fault a thing!
Pros: Our host, Dominique, offered us his genuine welcome throughout the stay. He was raised in nearby Sommieres so was very proud of his place. There is only one (charming) guest bedroom so we felt like we were his friends who had come to stay rather than paying guests. The room was impeccable with a comfortable king sized bed and modern bathroom. The coffee maker was a bonus, as were the fascinating books about the village, Villevielle, and surrounding villages. Tip - pop into the tourist office in Sommieres to pick up maps with interesting historical walks, we did Sommieres and Villevielle in between a weekly market and excellent Natural Wine Festival! Breakfast was delicious and copious and it was also fun to chat with our host while eating far too much.
Cons: There are no shops or restaurants so you do need to walk, cycle or drive into nearby Sommieres. About 1km. Not a bad thing at all but good to know.
Pros: The rooftop balcony was amazing! Especially the view on the roofs and castle and the delicious breakfast the host brougt us there
Pros: The decor and ambience were especially good. The host Dominque was helpful and had lots of interesting information about the area.
Located in Villevieille, Château de Pondres is in a rural location, a 4-minute drive from Chateau de Villevieille and 6 minutes from Roc de Massereau Adventure Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Very small room, given that you stay at a large Chateau. We booked the hotel also for the restaurant but on both days the restaurant was closed. It was rather difficult to find a restaurant close by. The Spa is micro. Not even a place to rest after the sauna.
Pros: The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. Staff were all really welcoming and pleasant. The accommodated our special requests and circumstances. Food in the restaurant was beautiful. Pool was beautiful.
Cons: The only slight criticism would be that there was nobody working in the bar full time. However, when we asked for service from other staff we were served right away.
Pros: The staff from the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The garden and the castle were amazing. The room was cozy.
Cons: The service of the restaurant was disappointing. We had to wait for 50 minutes for our dessert. It wasn’t even busy that night.
Pros: The Castle and grounds was beautiful, it's staff were pleasant and accommodating.
Cons: The room was very small. A room at a Castle shouldn't feel so cramped. My biggest gripe was the internet - which was slower than dial-up. I enquired why I couldn't browse in my room at all, was told it would be addressed - it wasn't. If you offer internet - it SHOULD work. I couldn't do video conferencing. Also, if you offer air conditioning - it SHOULD work. Again, I enquired and was told it would be addressed - but it wasn't. Sure I could open the window, but the room was so small I ran smack into it in the middle of the dark night on my way to the bathroom. We paid a lot of money for the experience, driving well out of the way, so I expected to be impressed. I was very disappointed with what I got. Leaving Provence feeling regret for the splurge.
Pros: very nice grounds, just like in the photos. excellent room design and quality.
Cons: breakfast was not that great in terms of variety or quality (fruit, etc). also we arrived quite late at night for a one night stay, and had asked if we could stay in the room an extra hour after checkout time, but were refused (even though there was plenty of availability). quite disappointing.
Pros: I liked the bedroom, facilities and the staff
Cons: I think the breakfast was not complete enough for what you pat for (€18 extra). The pool can be very cold, even in summer
Pros: Food was amazing and the staff were top notch.
Pros: Beautiful property with nice staff
Pros: Property is spectacular, amazing to stay in a piece of history.
Pros: Friendly and welcoming staff, the room was stunning and the food superb. The park like grounds with french gardens were stunning.

Pros: Lovely stay for only 3 nights, bedrooms lovely staff very friendly and always happy to help would definitely go back. Sommieres town is beautiful especially the Monday market
Cons: Didn’t like the slide door on the toilet not sure why it can’t be a full door that slide
