Pros: Catherine was a wonderful , friendly host who made our overnight stop a treat. The dinner she cooked was excellent , and she made allowances for my dislike of cheese and chocolate admirably. One of the best meals we had whilst away due to both the food and company
Cons: not having a proper door separating the bath/ toilet from the bedroom (but maybe that is an English thing?) However it wouldn't stop us staying again if in the area
Pros: Katherine the hostess was lovely and her cooking was superb, especially the lovely chocolate cake. The room was quaint but we'll equipped with everything needed.
Pros: The owner Catherine was very nice and welcoming. She offered a beautiful homemade breakfast (fresh chocolate cake, homemade jams, fresh bread etc). She took our pastry order when we checked in which we really appreciated. Also the extra coffee/water/sweets free for us w as a really nice touch! the bed was very confortable. Gorgeous house/garden with a lot of charm!
Pros: Catherine was the perfect host and her cooking was superb. She helped us find the trains to Paris and Chartres and this made our trips less stressful. The accommodation was just what we needed and all very relaxing.
Pros: This B&B is wonderful and Catherine is an amazing host, you can take dogs, she will make homemade breakfast and dinner (for a little extra) and it was fantastic. Beautiful room and gardens and great food. I will definitely be back
Cons: Nothing it was the most perfect B&B I’ve stayed in
Pros: Wonderful host; a welcome aperitif when arriving, a fabulous evening meal(best meal of our two week holiday) and wine, plenty of choice for breakfast. A lovely and relaxing 2 night break. Highly recommended
Pros: It was trip with my family for my 10th wedding anniversary, I was very happy to stay here as at home, especially my two kids really loved. Had wonderfull time at the small beutiful garden. Thanks you.
Pros: The hostess. Warm and open personality. And the option to join her kitchen is a lifetime experience
Pros: Catherine was lovely, great tradition French cooking, we enjoyed our stay, although it was for only 1 night, Quiet peaceful location before our long journey home.
Cons: We liked everything
Pros: What a gem of a place. My room was beautiful, clean and the host Catherine was amazing. I arrived late after a very long drive from Northern England but even though it was 10.30pm she cooked me an amazing meal, nothing seemed an issue for her. Breakfast was delicious with croissants, ham etc. As I was here for business wifi had to be good and it was. Her kitchen is very quaint, rustic and homely, a very nice place to sit and enjoy her wonderful cooking and glass or two of wine.

Pros: Clean and very comfortable: lovely beds, sofa, huge bathroom with big bath and shower. Views from the windows in the morning of the park with deer and donkeys. We had a very restful stopover on the way back up to Calais - much better than the usual motorway places and only 20km off the autoroute. Slightly more expensive but we saved by eating in: villa had a full kitchen and big dining area.
Cons: Not a negative but a tip: it is in a rural location so stock up on food before you arrive.
Pros: Everything was perfect, good welcome, very modern well equipped appartement. All kitchen requirements including washing machine room 27. Easy to find with GPS even though in the middle of the countryside. We were very happy with our overnight stay.
Cons: Pity there was no outdoor seating to relax or eat in the beautiful surroundings with the animals in the woods
Pros: Amazing place to stay, although I arrived very night in the evening no problem to get the key. This is one of the best places I have stayed so far. I will come back for sure.
Pros: Very helpful staff... pleasant welcome and help to use the electric hob (I have only used gas before). Spotlessly clean, well equipped studio, very comfy bed. Perfect for those that like a secluded location.
Pros: Very roomy and clean
Pros: Quiet, close to Paris but rural location
Pros: The apartment was gorgeous and very well outfitted for a long stay. Our breakfast basket of organic, local products was fantastic, too!
Cons: Roads to and from were scarcely wide enough for one car and the GPS could not “find” the property easily.

Pros: Very friendly and interesting hosts
Pros: Charming helpful host, beautiful village/countryside.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: great breakfast, comfortable beds, very clean and professional. Love their house.
Cons: First contact with the owner was a bit rough to accomodate with our arrival time. We needed to attend a wedding and therefore to be able to change cloth etc. It seemed not possible when we first discussed... In the end, we were able to arrive at 3 instead of 5 which was great.
Pros: great breakfast-if you get the chance have husband show his fashion design history.
Pros: Fantastic host, great location, charming rooms and amenities
Cons: All is good
Pros: Evening meal cooked for us on request was quite excellent as was the breakfast in the morning. Great attention to detail everywhere & hosts were most hospitable
Pros: The pool was an expected bonus. We arrived early but that was no problem, nor was leaving our bags there ‘out of hours’.
Pros: What a perfect property, location and host. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, with a big comfortable bed and being on the ground floor we could park right outside. It was beautifully decorated with very tasteful furnishings. The garden is a hidden treasure in full bloom during out visit and the pool a very welcome extra after a very hot day driving. Easy walk into the little town of Maintenon and the chateau, also only 25 minutes drive to Chartres. Our host was an absolute joy making sure we were well fed at breakfast. Home made jams and pastries were superb. Her company a delight - despite our very limited French! Thank you for such a lovely 2 days.

Pros: Very friendly host. Great pool.
Cons: It was a day of record high temperatures so it would have been nice to have access to chilled water.
Pros: Paradise for perfectionist. House and garden is very well done, it’s obvious that owners take care about it every day. We stayed in Room Manor was on first floor which is convenient for luggage , big enough, with great modern shower facilities working well. it was cold due mid season, but heater was provided - eventually was great. Breakfast was very French, croissants very very fresh, just from oven, jam and honey home made. Also we asked in advance dinner, and it was superb, very tasty and nice way served . Owners Magali could adjust menu to our needs (no lactose and gluten). Fish was great! Highly recommend to order dinner in advance, its fresh, tasty and served in beautiful way Magali was extremely welcome, charming, nice and helpful in everything we needed, couldn’t be nicer person, and its very natural , was really pleasure to talk with her. Would recommend for sure to stay there.
Cons: Minuses - No teapot in the room , so you have to ask if you have some needs, medicines to drink with hot water, but hot water was given by request
Pros: The owners made you feel exceptionally welcome and nothing was too much of an effort for them. The room was very comfortable; we had an excellent nights sleep. The food was very well cooked and sourced from either their own produce or locally. The information given about the local area was very informative. We will definitely be visiting again next year for a longer stay. Thank you for making us so welcome.
Pros: The pool
Pros: Super friendly owners, very welcoming and great dinners!
Pros: Beautiful property and amazing grounds. Fabulous welcome and Magali was the perfect host. Breakfast lovely. Nice dinner.
Cons: Annoying dog. It is a definite no no in the dining room. Especially as food presented on low table.
Pros: Location, it has some charm.
Cons: Hosts are extremely oppressive, supervising everything you do, judging you, and instructing you to do or not to do specific things all the time. When our two-day stay progressed and relationship started to get sour, they took away items from our room, and as we later learnt, opened and browsed through our luggage, and took pictures of the contents. Also, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired (as attested by the picture).
Pros: The breakfast was very good. The grounds of the hotel are very restful - we enjoyed eating our evening meal by the swimming pool.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike!
Pros: Friendly hostess Interesting and attractive buildings Good food
Cons: Church bells nearby at 7am: no need for an alarm clock
Located in Hermeray, La Grange de La Guesle is within a 15-minute drive of Chateau de Rambouillet and Forest of Rambouillet. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fabulous place and lovely host.
Pros: Good breakfast but we know breakfast in France is limited. Some sorts of bread, jam, 1 cheese and yoghurt. We Belgians put more enegy and variations into our breakfast. But it was enough.
Cons: We booked one standard and one comfort room, the comfort one has a tv and sthe standard one not. No problem but prices for both rooms were the same. Internet was not working, i notified the owner and according to her it worked. Anyway, no internet from arrival to departure and cellphone connection is not good due to it's location.
Pros: Wonderful owners very friendly and helpful. Take very good care of their property.

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, excellent facilities
Pros: The room was amazing - clean, spacious and calm. Breakfast was perfect for 4 starts hotel, thank you for lovely stay!
Cons: Nothing to point out, maybe the price was a bit high for a hotel in a small town in France but we got a perfect service for that.
Cons: Everything was very good!
Pros: Everything was brilliant
Pros: If you want to pamper yourself a little then this is the place for you - lovely hotel with incredibly helpful and friendly staff.
Pros: Larger than most hotels we choose to stay in but it was very comfortable and very newly refurbished. Large room with twin aspect and a very nice shower room but no bath. Excellent facilities with nice pool and sauna. Plenty of on-site parking even for our very large vehicle. Staff were really friendly and the restaurant is worth a visit. We thought breakfast was a little expensive but offered a very wide choice with limitless hot drinks so worth it. The Chateau is next door and well worth viewing but not a lot going on the village.
Pros: The hotel was comfortable, modern and easy to find.
Cons: The food/menu, was not, in my option, up to the standard expected in a four star hotel. The main shower in our bathroom did not work properly, there was a hole in the shower floor where the shower head had fallen onto it and the towel rail was loose on the wall.
Pros: Good location for the Chateau. Excelent breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Helpful staff
Cons: There were coffee/tea facilities in the room, but no milk.

Pros: Very handy location where we broke our journey between Charles de Gaulle airport and the Loire. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel was quiet and the staff were friendly. I particularly liked the restaurant, good food and reasonably priced.
Pros: Clean and tidy. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Slightly out of town but fine for what I needed.
