Pros: We were given an upgrade and had a lovely room with great views. The food, breakfast and dinner, was of great quality and the owner gave a warm welcome.
Pros: Great location, beautiful little cottages and rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely, friendly staff.
Cons: It was perfect!
Pros: Excellent location and breakfast. Good room space. Amazing staff and cleanliness of the room and hotel in general.
Cons: WiFi signal in the room was not good and we preferred to use our own carrier as we live in Sverige.
Pros: Fabulous hotel, great staff, lovely room and very nice breakfast in a calm atmosphere. Great location, quiet and peaceful yet close to center. Had absolutely everything we needed and wished for.
Cons: Have nothing to complain about. It’s was a bit at the top of our budget but definitely worth it and we will not hesitate to come back if visiting the area.
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: I expected better facilities for a 4-star hotel
Cons: Restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays. Very used furniture. Old fashion (I mean old!) style. Some people will think: lovely but it was old and stinky We would never choose it again. Champagne without bubble Ordered wine not available Small portions
Cons: Got not the room that I booked
Pros: Location in Gränna
Cons: Room was on the roadside and quite noisy.
Pros: Staff welcome and ambiance
Cons: Internet connection was poor

Pros: Great surroundings, beautiful location by the lake, good food in the restaurant and not too expensive, good and generous breakfast with typically swedish products, very quiet and clean room. Owners and staff very friendly and nice.
Cons: Rooms a little bit basic but good size, well maintained and clean, bed not extremely comfortable.
Pros: This is a perfect place to have a good rest in an ideal calm and peace. The bungalows are simple but perfectly comfortable and nicely arranged and decorated. But the most important is the friendliness and hospitality of Paul. At this early October weekday we were the only guests, and we were treated like royalty, with a dinner cooked for us, perfect wine, candles, and a spectacular view on the lake and the wilderness behind. The service at breakfast was equally perfect with the self-service bar set up just for us. We have been leaving with great regrets that this was only one night on our way to Finland. Thank you Paul!
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: The owners and staff were excellent..my cabin was lovley
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room with comfortable beds and good WiFi. Very nice and quiet area near beautiful lake. Breakfast included and plentiful with fresh fruits, etc. Reasonably priced and delicious dinner with home made and local ingredients.
Cons: No mosquito barriers in the windows, no ceiling fan or airco ( but note the weather was unusually hot).
Pros: Amazing cottages with beautiful scenery. The lake is right in front of the accommodation where you can fish. Food and service very nice and lovely golf course.
Pros: It was an extremelly great attitude.
This guest house is set on the island of Visingsö on Lake Vättern, 6 km from Gränna. It provides a café. Visingsö Pensionat has a large garden with a patio. Staff can help arrange horse riding and picnics on the beach. Visingsö is only reachable by a car ferry, which stops 500 metres away from the guest house. Hiking, mini golf and horse-drawn cart tours are common area activities. Swimming at Visingsborg Beach is a 5-minute walk away.
Pros: A unique place we will definitely visit again! Great quiet location. Eye for nice little details. Hosts are very guest friendly. Breakfasts, lunch and small dinner dishes are very tasty. Our daughters loved the garden ❤️
Pros: Staff is very welcoming and friendly! So happy and generous, also towards our dog. The garden is fantastic for enjoying your choosen meals or drinks.
Pros: Staff very friendly and accommodating
Cons: Most things on the island were closed as we were there in mid september
Pros: It’s been a great experience to stop in this medieval palace. You will find everything you dream about thinking of a fairytale weekend. The rooms look chick and well equipped, dinner was served in the best manner of high society, location is great. Thanks to the super friendly host for the warm welcome. During our trip we stayed in many places but Vastana Slott is my most remarkable memory. Thank you.
Pros: This charming place has lots of history behind it, the most friendly staff members, a spectacular view, beautiful lounge areas, & excellent food / dining setting!
Cons: It would have been nice to have warm options at breakfast (e.g. Eggs, vegetables etc)
Pros: Very cool building and decor. Interesting to talk to the owner.
Cons: Dinner was a bit pricey.
Pros: It is quite historic place with lots of pictures on the walls, antiques, furniture and so on. You felt like going back in time and living the way the chosen ones were living. There is also this authentic castle-wall smell that I like too!
Cons: Quality of stay was quite bad, my room was big, but there was no amenities - for example, it was advertised that ironing is available, but it was not placed in the room. You felt like something is missing and it is not cheap as well!
Pros: The premises was really nice. Food was excellent
Cons: Closeness to the E4
Pros: Good breakfast, nice stuff and excellent restaurant.
Pros: Magical staff and service!

Pros: nice garden, and we had booked house with bathroom and kitchen, this is good holiday.
Cons: Double bed is not that stable, not that safety for kids get down from upper bed.
Pros: My wife, I and 3 kids were on holidays from Ireland and stayed at Templegarden for 2 nights. We had a really nice stay, the grounds are lovely and it's a very peaceful and calm place to relax. The shared kictchen and bathroom facilities are new and modern and have everything you could need.
Pros: - Quiet surroundings, perfect for spending some time alone. - Tempelgården is very cozy, with old small cabins, exciting art and a big and wonderful garden. - Very nice owners. - It is possible to buy breakfast and cleaning, but I did not do it myself though. - Easy to rent a bike at the harbour and ride to Tempelgården. - Fantastic surroundings and roads, with a very beautiful beach some kilometers up north. - Modern and clean facilities.
Cons: - One of the beds in Stallet (at the window) was not very comfortable. But I changed to the other one and that was better. - It is somewhat expensive if you only regard the fact that you get somewhere to sleep and shared bathrooms in another building.
Pros: Staff very friendly ans helpfull. Breakfast was very good. Showers and bathroom accross the garden new and clean
With a stay at Grännagården Hotell & Restaurang, you'll be centrally located in Granna, just a 4-minute walk from Grenna Museum and 7 minutes by foot from Granna Church. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice room: clean, quite, big and bright with wonderful views of the lake. The room was carpet free, so allergy-friendly!!. . Breakfast was ok and they even prepared pancakes/creps for the kids. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay!!. We’ll be back.
Cons: A playground was listed as one of the features but I couldn’t find it. However, there was a public playground 500 meters from the hotel.
Pros: Comfy bed, staff were very friendly and accommodating of our baby. Has all the amenities for babies as one needs when away from home. Lovely lake views from the rooftop balcony. Short walk to the center of town or the marina and ferry.
Pros: Very nice spacious room, delicious high standard food from restaurant, very friendly helpful staff
Cons: There is no elevator, no phone in the room to contact reception desk
Cons: Limited choice at breakfast
Pros: Great cosy place. Ideal for travellers, hikers and bikers
Pros: Clean room. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Very small room due to high demands
Pros: This is a gem in Gränna. Don't let the missing stars miselad you. Excellent service by the proprietor who's also the bartender and serving food etc. Nice views of the city and Vättern from the good size room. On the top floor there were two terrasses with extended views facing different directions. We'll be back when in the hood.
Cons: Please note that there's no elevator, so if you can't climb two levels, ask for a room on 1st floor.
Pros: Nice and clean room Very good breakfast Friendly staff Free parking
Cons: Bathroom was quite small, but ok for one night.
Pros: Cleanliness, location, comfortable beds and friendly staff
Cons: There wasn't any mirror in the room just in the toilet...we missed it and breakfast there wasn't any hot food
Pros: Beautiful village with charm. But, you need a car to get there
Pros: The little house was super cosy and beautiful. And location was authentic.
Cons: No information about the key. And no possible contact with reception.... No respond to cellphone. (closed reception) (I drove 14 hours... I didn't have energy to search for a key. Should have been explained how to get the key.)
Pros: The location is great, surrounded by trees and nature. The room was small but warm and cozy. Wifi pretty decent. Being in a historical place is special
Cons: Lack of lights (very hard to find it at night), there was no staff ready either for check-in or out (low season) and by telephone they barely speak English. The final road from Haurida to Asens by is dangerous in winter (we found ice on the road and we almost had an accident). Overall the place is very spooky/hard to arrive at night, and in Autumn/Winter the sunset is around 4pm
Pros: The surroundings were great!
Pros: The small cottage was really cute and its location in the farm setting truly beautiful. This really gave us a good feel of Swedish rural life of the past! Althoug of course the cottage was equipped with all the sanitary and kitchen things of our time ;) We also really enjoyed the animals around the farm.
Cons: Not much bad to say, as we really enjoyed our stay here. If we would have to comment on something it would be that the personnel didn't speak English very well. Since we didn't speak Swedish either it sometimes was a bit difficult to communicate. In the end we did manage though, so this is really just a minor remark!
With a stay at BauerGården Gästgiveri & Konferens in Granna, you'll be next to a golf course, and 7.5 mi (12.1 km) from Granna Church and 7.7 mi (12.4 km) from Grenna Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very good location, close to lovely Bunn lake and nature. A hidden gem in the Swedish countryside. We really enjoyed the food which was both delicious and high quality. Nicely decorated property and very comfortable beds with feather pillows and duvets.
Cons: Lack of air conditioning
Pros: Loved the location, the comfortable robed, large bathroom, helpful staff and delicious food. I visited with a Swedish friend who said she’d definitely return. I would too if Oregon was a little closer
Cons: No suggestions
Pros: Staff was friendly but not really helpful. Nice lake close by.
Cons: Our stay here was very disappointing. Through the entire team Bauergarden left the impression of not really caring about their guests. The lobby was dirty (e.g. toilet paper on the floor in the hallway that nobody picked up the entire time we stayed there), the breakfast was below average and carelessly put together and the staff tried their best but was really inexperienced and could not even prepare us hot water to prepare baby food. That combined with a super high price was simply very sad. We won’t ever stay there again.
Pros: The wheather was great, so top location with lovely small beach. And a quick use in evening/morning of sauna... Love!! Lovely but not very much co-workers, who had to do everything 'at the same time'. But the maneged to do so. Sometimes it took a little while, but hey... relax!
Cons: We can 't get used to 'only black coffee' at breakfast. But that seems to be a swedish "problem". No cappuccino or latte. Bedroomwindow right next to restaurant terrace. We could however close semi transparent curtain, which made it ok.
Pros: Very beautiful location. Modern and new!
Pros: It haves a beautiful setting down to a lake. We had a perfect swim at the hotels private bridge and sauna house. The food at the restaurant was good. We had a early check in.
Cons: We paid extra for a deluxe room. The room was small and didn’t seem to be 20 m2 as it said in the description. The staff could be more welcoming.
Pros: Staff was wonderful, beautiful location
Pros: Peaceful location plenty of parking Unusual accommodation Friendly helpful staff Nice food Handy just off motorway between jankoping. And Stockholm
Cons: Kettle in room but did find one in the end common room to use Also a fridge same location Bed not the best but ok for 1 night
Pros: The location is great for a visit in the Gränna area! We absolutely loved the lake side cottage of the property. You can take a outside picknick take a kajak out for a paddle and have a skinny dip at moonlight. Had a good diner at night in the restaurant.
Cons: Breakfast is not that good! lack of fruit, and only one choice of bread!
Pros: Very friendly and nice atmosphere with good dinner menu
Cons: breakfast was a bit basic but ok

Pros: Gorgeous views and great facilities.
Pros: Lovely view. Super quiet. Wish I had a tub in my room but that's ok. It was spacious and clean. The restaurant is excellent and our waiter was amazing!!
Pros: Super location, a good stop on the way to Stockholm
Cons: A bit worn down
Pros: - Location and food were perfect - Very friendly staff and the people in the area in general (especially bus drivers when we took a trip to Graenna). - View from the room was very nice
Cons: - We didn't know that the room was not in the main building, there was no indication of any other buildings as we were booking and the pictures from outside were only for the main building. - It was very hot, no AC in the room.
Pros: Beautiful location and easy access for traveling.
Pros: Great location close to main Malmo / Stockholm motorway with fabulous views over Lake Vattern.
Pros: Great location (!!!), breakfast was ok, but nothing special despite other feedback on booking.com
Cons: Rooms in the annex building are due for significant refurbishment, far too hot in summer without AC, window can be opened slightly only, not clean enough
Pros: Clean and nice location overlooking sea
Cons: Opening 0700 breakfast to late for early birds Travel
Pros: The location and lake view are amazing
Cons: No air conditioning in guest room, only air conditioners in guest corridor. Dinner kitchen finished at 8:00pm, no orders after that.
Pros: The location, restaurant been there several times during 24 years
Cons: The motel part is a bit primitive for the price.
Pros: Fantastic facility and view of Lake Vattern. Restored beautifully. Food and dining hall are first class. Great place to go for scenic drives or runs and walks. Staff was very friendly and professional. Recommend it highly as well as Granna itself.
Pros: The Lakeside View from the Room was excellent
Cons: From the pictures on the Web site you get the feeling that will stay in the Castle. This only true for few Rooms and in the booking confirmation is no notice about that you will not stay in the castle. Also there is no AC in the Room. So it's too expensive for that value
Pros: No nonsence hotel, Good value for money. Beautiful location.
Pros: Friendliness of staff; location of hotel; quality of meals; in-room internet facilities; proximity to village and lake; quieteness.
Cons: Cleanliness of the room was substandard. needs more regular dusting.
Pros: Beautiful location, nice view from main house terrace. Free coffee, tea, snacks in the evening in terrace area. Nice old castle atmosphere in main building. Rooms however are located in separate simple buildings, which was little bit disappointing, as during booking it is not mentioned. Helpful and friendly personnell. This hotel is suitable if you have a car to drive around, as it is out of main village.
Cons: We expected that double bed is one large bed not 2 separate just pushed together.
Pros: The quiet surroundings, The wiev over the sea, The pleasent interior
Cons: No complains at all
When you stay at Blue Water B&B in Visingo, you'll be next to a golf course and 3 minutes by foot from Vättern. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice comfy room with lake view and an outside sitting area. Wifi and kitchen available. Shared bathroom. Very friendly host who made delicious swedish breakfast. A beach within walking distance.
Located in Granna, Smålandsgården Gästgiveri is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Granna Church and Grenna Museum. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The bed was too soft and the bathroom really needed renovation, plastic mat ans very old.
Pros: Location, location, location! Beautiful tranquil setting on the lakeside. I chose this hotel as one night pit-stop during our marathon drive from Calais to Stockholm. Gränna would seem a more obvious place, but I wanted a totally restful location to follow 7 hours of driving. We ate in the restaurant that night and the food was excellent. As for the breakfast........we had driven 1,120 miles by this point and, I can honestly say, would do it all over again for that breakfast! We are now home and it was by far the best breakfast of any of our stops in the four countries we visited, and indeed, for a long time anywhere in our wide ranging travels. Thank you!
Pros: The location, but as the outdoor area is very old and not comfortable, you don't want to spend that much time at the lake.
Cons: Everything. Not clean at all in the whole hotel. Everywhere you look, no matter if in the rooms or the floors, the restaurant area and so on, are spiders. The house looks super old from outside and not maintained. The hotel needs a total makeover, also the outdoor area as all the benches are destroyed. A lot of mould in the shower !!!! No matter how cheap or expensive a hotel is, mould is an absolute No-Go! Nice receptionist, who tried to find a solution for the mould-in-the-shower problem (they tried to clean it, but as commonly known mould can not really be cleaned). She offered us other rooms, but the bathrooms looked quite similar and not clean too. Upon request the hotel Manager got called, as we wanted a refund as it wasn't possible to use the shower with mould, but the Manager only offered us to leave the hotel and then get the money back. But at 7 p.m. it was impossible to find any other free hotels anymore, so it wasn't a really good offer. We didn't get any refund in the end, even though we couldn't use the shower for the 2 nights!
Cons: Missing aircondition
Pros: Beautiful location, great with kids.
Cons: Bathrooms should be renovated.
Pros: Lovely romantic bathhotel... Nice room... perfekt wiew...
Cons: Missed the homebaked Bread? Breakfast with laud Music.. NO THANKS! Lokation = in the middle of now were with No possibility of dinner... so plan your stay... with at least half an our of drive on highway to find a simpel restaurant!
Pros: Nature, personnel
Cons: Old volvos around
Pros: Very lovely place! Perfect location. Cosy and idyllic. Good vibes.
With a stay at Grenna Hotell in Granna, you'll be a 2-minute walk from Grenna Museum and 5 minutes by foot from Granna Church. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A healthy and well composed buffé.
Pros: The bed was OK.
Cons: Granna is a pretty town and we had high hopes for the hotel, but it was not what we were led to expect. We stayed in the annex, the Chinese one. Why on earth Chinese in Sweden? The room was a mishmash of designs, not much Chinese. The headboard was (see photo) an old door on its side, with the hinge cutouts on top. No kettle. The room was OK for one night, but not impressive. We ate in the hotel and ordered fish. The meal, when it arrived, had no fish at all, and the two plates were not even the same design or shape. When I looked at the food, a raw egg looked at me. Mistakes do happen and this was one. The waitress didn't even notice until I pointed it out. We sat outside after the meal at the back, and the flaking plaster on the cement exterior and general lack of maintenance was not a pretty sight. Most extraordinary, in a country which flies its colourful flag everywhere, was the dirty, almost totally worn out and blown away, Swedish pennant. A disgrace (see centre flag pole and bit of dirty rag at top). We requested an early - packed - breakfast which was delivered to our room. The roll, not that fresh, had a slice of meat. An orange was provided - surely the hardest fruit to eat when traveling.
Pros: The food was amazing. Kitchen was kept open late for us. Great view of the lake. Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: WIFI was difficult to connect and slow.
Pros: That you can have a dog with you!
Pros: Excellent breakfast, nice staff.
Cons: Room almost on the street, very hot in room as you could not leave window open at night.
Pros: Breakfast was great! Delicious homemade pancakes, a wide range of choices. Nice and helpful staff, beautiful entrance hall. Location was perfect, a few steps to the harbor.
Cons: Our room´s only window headed right to the crosswalk, just 2 meters from the road. We found a few spiders in the room.
Pros: Charming place in a small beautiful town.
Cons: Too expensive for what it is.
Pros: Food in restaurant was very good The room - nice interior Kind and service minded personal We upgraded from not renovated room to renovated and it was very much worth it :) Very very nice bathroom
Cons: Food: very small portions - at least bread could have been added for dinner Menu: Same menu both day and only two main dishes to choose - could have added a vegetarian dish and something
Pros: Romantic room with good view. The lake nearby is beautiful. There are two supermarkets near the hotel, very convenient.

Pros: Good location, rooms were fine
Cons: Shower block not very clean
Pros: It can only be one thing and that’s the location. The locals would be some of the most fantastic people I’ve met in Sweden. The accommodation was superb for such a great price and ease of check in off the late ferry was perfect. I shouldn’t give such a good review.... I’ll spoil our favourite hideaway
Cons: No comments to be put here. Not one single complaint.
When you stay at Wisingsö Hotell & Konferens in Visingo, you'll be next to a golf course and within a 5-minute drive of Visingsö Ferry Quay. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The position is good.
Cons: The bed in the double room in the pictures was a bigger one and a smaller one, however, they were all single beds. There were no tooth brushes nor tooth paste, the lounge was't very cosy.
Pros: Location, comfortable bed, next to the public library which is very nice, shared living room
Cons: The room is a bit small and too much noise from outside (people are party until midnight!!) , the breakfast is not good and has very limited options.. almost 45 minutes delay of the checking-in time.
Pros: Great location, welcoming and friendly. Food at the restaurant was a bonus. Definitely worth the experience of staying overnight on the island.
Pros: Location. Great foe relaxation.
Cons: Dinner booking which had been made, seemed to be news to the restaurant. It was supposed to have been mede by the hotel when we checked in.
Pros: Two sunny nice places outside the restaurant to eat or have a drink outside. Good buffet for the dinner and a special big screen under a tent for watching the mach.
Pros: The nature around

Pros: Very nice position in Gränna by the harbor. Very helpful staff. Close to food stores.
Cons: Uncomfortable beds. Just a thin mattress.
Pros: Great playgrounds, good beach. Average restaurants.
Pros: Closeness to the Great Vättern lake
Cons: Hard to get hold of the key at midnight
Pros: Breakfast was fair but the hidden costs made the total sum a lot more expensive than a hotel.
Cons: The room was a very small army barrack room g
Pros: Nice breakfast which could be bought at the cafe next door
Cons: Room was unbearably warm and opening the window didn't seem to help much
Pros: Very Nice breakfast with a lot of choices
Cons: Bed not comfortable, hard.
