Pros: Owners very welcoming and really helped when we needed little extras. We were there for a friend's wedding so we need an iron to iron our clothes and they kindly showed us to a laundry room and set up iron for us. There was a bbq in the garden on the Friday night which was fantastic. Lots of salads set up inside all homemade then you queued for the meat in the garden. It was gorgeous and only 20 euros each . The owners dog took a shine to my husband which was funny. See pic Garden full of groups of locals and families lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was a self service. Plenty of ham cheese juice coffee pastries etc . All very relaxed. Highly recommend.
Pros: Really nice and friendly staff. Cosy restaurant where we participated in a delicious barbecue and felt amongst the locals
Cons: No air condition in the room
Pros: very nice room
Cons: no ventilation in room-no workable wifi
Pros: Lovely Restaurant great wifi, easy check in, very nice room
Cons: A ways from amenities
Pros: Great room with good facilities for a stay over.
Cons: Nothing, enjoyed all, good dinner and breakfast.
Pros: Our stay was great. Nice restaurant with fair prices. Clean and modern rooms. Nice staff aswell.
Pros: Nice to have the good restaurant with the hotel. Very nice dinner and breakfast!
Pros: Very nice looking hotel in pleasant location near major road routes.
Cons: I had a twin room confirmed but on arrival was presented with a double bed. When going to reception to sort it out, I was met with a shrug, no apology or effort to resolve the situation. I'm pretty sure other rooms were available. Two guys in one bed was not going to work, but fortunately we had a foam mattress in the van so I was able to sleep on the floor. Not ideal. Nice evening meal but the constant screaming children running around were a bit annoying, to say the least. Staff don't speak English at all, but it's not fair to count that as a complaint as we are in France.
Pros: There were BBQ party on every Wednesday and Friday. We were luckily visited the hotel on Wednesday. I love the atmosphere of the BBQ dinner. I love the people there especially the employees. One of the employees spent extra time to type the English menu of the BBQ for us.
Cons: The rooms could be too hot in the hot weather.

Pros: Excellent breakfast Rooms are large and very well equipped Very beautiful and large garden Swimming pool
Cons: You need a car to get there No restaurants or shops in walking distance
Pros: Rooms are big, bathroom is well equipped, park is amazing, breakfast is tasty, swimming pool is huge ! The hosts are very knowledgeable about Alsace and made me feel at home. Thanks for a wonderful stay !
With a stay at Hotel le Caballin in Vogelgrun, you'll be on a river, within a 5-minute drive of Kaiserstuhl and Geldermann Privatsektkellerei. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: nice new room with good view. Good breakfast.
Cons: Too busy in the restaurant. Maybe under-staffed?
Pros: Large renovated family room; all beds were nicely prepared exactly as we requested. Service at breakfast was fantastic.
Pros: Comfortable bed Clean The lake view
Cons: Very bad wifi. It was not working in the rooms (we had 2 rooms and none had wifi)... it worked only at 5am... It is unacceptable for a 8.8 rated hotel... The 10€ breakfast is not worth it with a very limited choice. The walls were extremely thin! We could hear everything the neighbors were talking about... and they were not talking loudly. In the other room we had, they heard clearly the tv from next door. The fans are terrible in the bathroom, it smelled like cigarette.
Pros: Large room. Great view. Excellent food. Good location for me. Comfortable bed. strong shower
Cons: Could not get internet to work on WiFi and the data reception inside is very poor. Breakfast could have been a little more exciting.
Pros: Nice hotel on a small island with a nice restaurant. Friendly staff
Cons: The free wifi often equals to ‘free of wifi’ :) its slow, unreliable.
Pros: It’s a great hotel, with very comfortable rooms, all newly refurbished, and access to the balcony and a lovely view on the close pond. Thanks to the hotel staff. I would certainly return.
Cons: Nothing, all perfect
Pros: We onky spent one night at this hotel whilst travelling through France. The room was quite big and comfy, good dinner, breakfast simple but ok. Nice water view from the balcony. Only 20 mins by car from Colmar. We are happy with our choice.
Pros: The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated
Cons: The staff (exception of the nice lady serving breakfast) is not service oriented. Also, there was major construction work being done inside the hotel, of which there was no advance notice. Overpriced considering there were bare cables, temporary doors and unfinished walls in the hall (rooms were fine). Breakfast is friendly but price steep considering what you get. My third stay here, and I was disappointed. An advance notice of work being done and reduced pricing would be in order.
Pros: The rooms and the Whole place with the veiw and the Restaurants and the most impotent thing the staff are super friendly amd for sure i will be back again
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and I loved the location. We went out for dinner, but on our return, we wished we had eaten in the restaurant. It looked fabulous!
Cons: I have to mention the midges. Don't open the windows! We didn't know they were redecorating comprehensively, and it spoiled the stay a little bit, but it is good to see that the hotel will be even better in the future. Other hotels leave it too late and lose out.
Located in Biesheim, Hôtel La Clef Des Champs is in a rural location, a 4-minute drive from Kaiserstuhl and 9 minutes from Geldermann Privatsektkellerei. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location for bikers is good.
Pros: the location was nice
Cons: the room was small and outdated
Pros: Nice hotel for using as an overnight stop when travelling to Italy.
Cons: The hostess in the morning didn't speak english, so it was a bit difficult to communicate.
Pros: Welcoming atmosphere, seating outside, on-site parking, lovely flowers, very nice receptionist who spoke good English, attractive bed-rooms.
Cons: Breakfast seemed expensive so we didn't have it. Restaurant next door, with a bit of noise coming from the outside tables until midnight, however it was Saturday and they just sounded like happy people, not boisterous ones.
Cons: The weather was very hot and the room was too warm. Needed a fan or aircon.
Pros: No frills...lots of flowers...quiet
Cons: Air conditioner would help
Pros: Easy to check in
Cons: Could listen to every person coming in and out in the hotel. Handicap room.
Pros: The room was very clean, but small like room.
Cons: We heard a lot of sounds
Located in Neuf-Brisach, Hotel Restaurant Aux Deux Roses is in a rural location, a 4-minute drive from Kaiserstuhl and 8 minutes from Geldermann Privatsektkellerei. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift). Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Location not far from our destination, Colmar and Eguisheim, Fairly clean and dinner was fine
Cons: beds were not very comfortable, they were very low and too soft and the lamps lamps above the bed were dangerous. One could easily hit ones head on them. And the warm water was only enough for one person to shower. We were woken by fire alarm at 5:50 in the morning because some idiot lit a cigarette in his room (or wape) which is not allowed (not the hotels fault ofcourse)
Pros: The location just off Véloroute 15 and bike storage
Cons: Small room, grotty shower that didn’t empty, paltry breakfast
Pros: The hotel room was comfortabe and very good value for money. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and traditionally Alsace. We particularly liked when the chef came round each table to ask everyone how they enjoyed their meal.
Pros: The owner was very helpful and efficient. She was interested in what we had to say about the hotel. The hotel is perfectly located just 2 mins walk from the town center, in Neuf-Brisach, The tourist information office and the little road-train are on the other side of the central square about 5 mins walk away. The town was essentially a military fortification and this is its claim to fame. Parts of it are now in a state of decay but most of it is still in good condition, especially the fortifications. The tourist road train is a bargain at 2€ p. P. and takes about 3/4 hour to do the tour of the town and the fortifications. Tickets from the tourist office on the southern side of the town square.
Cons: Service in the restaurant for the evening meal was efficient, from the waitresses point of view, but was not friendly or helpful. The meal itself was OK but nothing special. I had beef which tasted good and was served with a rich sauce but the meat was rather tough. The room, in the attic floor, was very hot but it did have a, very noisy, air conditioner which cooler the room after 3 hours to an acceptable level. We were also about 50 m from the church bells which rang every 1/4 hour and woke me often, but there is nothing that the hotel can do about that. In the morning when everybody in the hotel was using water our water supply dried up! On talking to the owner about this it turned out that other guests had also mentioned this, the owner said she would talk to her husband about it. The toilet had some sort of electrical shredder attached which made a loud and unpleasant noise every time the toilet was flushed.
Cons: The internet service did not exist. This created problems for my wife and I. We checked out after first night. I am filing a complaint that we had to pay for two nights when we checked out. This is not right.
Pros: Reasonable breakfast
Cons: Church bells too noisy for sleep. Alarm call every hour through night. Needed window open. Baking heat. Hotel should state clearly nobody sleeps in summer. Also gutters dripping every second. Shower cubicle a joke. The controller and unecessary soap dispenser take up half of the tiny cubicle. Every movement knocks controller. Hopless hotel. Will never stay again.
Pros: Good location. Family room. Safe garage to store bikes.
Cons: Waitress rude at dinner about how to cook meat. Did not attempt to provide gluten free option at breakfast despite emailing beforehand. Attitude of staff very dated.
Pros: Well located when visiting the track at ADR
Pros: Good location with bike storage for those doing the Rhine. Supermarket close by
Pros: Hotel was well placed within a very nice walled city. Bedroom was adequate but with no frills. Very good walking areas nearby if you travel with your pet. Breakfast was good with a good choice of food.
Cons: Hotel was closed on arrival - so set off for a walk. Returned at 4.30pm to check in only to find a queue of people on the street waiting to do the same thing. Pleasant receptionist under pressure on her arrival so check in took 30 minutes! No secure parking at the hotel - but was told parking on the street would be safe. Terrace area of the hotel was a bit shabby, so decided to take dinner elsewhere.
