Pros: It is one of the most beautiful and calm places I have stayed in. It is surrounded by lavender fields and olive trees. Delicious breakfast with local products and a very kind host are making the place a picture perfect.
Pros: This was a real find. In the middle of the countryside a beautiful location with birds singing and peaceful. The rooms we had were special, simple but well appointed. Our host was lovely, friendly and helpful, booking a restaurant and even letting the chef know or preferences.
Pros: Great hospitality, good home. The house is surrounded by lavender fields. Tasty breakfast.
Pros: Everything. Beautiful place. Well maintained, renovated, exceptionally clean. Dear hostess Virginie is the attractive. Very welcoming, warm hospitality. Bug clean comfortable best. Quiet place. The house is located in the middle of lavender fields and olive trees plantation with the Penitents view...So Provence like. Breakfast impeccable. There is a touch of care in every detail. Plenty Information on where to go, what to see, restaurants... dishes... Virginie knows everything and is always available.
Cons: Too short a time to enjoy everything... would stay longer. Somente o pouco tempo que tivemos.
Pros: It’s an amazing place! Delicious breakfasts! We loved everything!
Pros: the view, the shower, the quite and the hospitality
Cons: the stairs to second floor
Pros: A wonderful place, a very friendly host and a good breakfast.
Pros: Host Verginie is very professional and friendly. We were intime for lavender bloom. From July 1st it would have been harvested. Rooms are big and comfortable. Common kitchen has a gas burner, microwave oven to cook.
Pros: Elegant and beautiful without being fussy; very Provence. Comfortable beds lovely clean rooms and delicious breakfast.
When you stay at Le Jas De Peguier in Châteauneuf-Val-Saint-Donat, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Sisteron Cathedral. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is remote. It's a working farm with an olive grove and fields. The gardening and gorgeous and the communal farm table encouraged us to spend time with Helen and her family and the other guests. As a bonus, we were there for the 2018 World Cup match with France and Belgium. There were Belgian guests and Helen's son projected the match for us all to watch. Three other families, plus the owner's family all sat around the farm table, eating pizza from the local pizzeria, drinking beer and wine and enjoying a great match and good company. It will go down as one of the most memorable experiences of our two week trip to France.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Pros: Everything was great. Great host Helene, with great communication skills and sense of humor. Great dog and cats. The GREAT design and cleaness. The view, the pool! The VERY BEST lunch in my life due to my birthday. Thank you much, Helene!
Cons: The only thing I should reccomend to the best and warmest host in the world is to find some solution against wasps on the swimming pool.

Located in Chateau-Arnoux-Saint-Auban, L'Oustaou is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Sisteron Cathedral and Sisteron Citadel. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We loved this place! The rooms are clean, the beds are super comfy. The surroundings are beautiful and many great walks into hills and mountains. The hotel is small and has a restaurant, which was a bit beyond our budget, so we drove the 2km into the village and had an excellent meal there. Breakfast was spot on for us and included in the price we paid. Great value overall. We will not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to everyone!!
Pros: Restaurant is top!
Pros: Arrived much later than expected but the host was able to provide us with food and drinks which we really needed. Loved the styling of the accommodation and with a top notch hot shower. Thank you for looking after and our motorbikes.
Pros: clean and comfortable room
Cons: breakfast was minimal
Pros: The room was tastefully decorated and the food very tasty. We booked the family room which was big and had a nice view over the garden and mountain hill. It had proper sleeping conditions for all four of us and the whole room and bathroom was very tastefully decorated. The restaurant had a lovely outdoor seating and served homemade food. A lot of the items on the menu were locally produced food and wine. This is a place where you get very good value for your money, and it is not expensive either. Perfect for a family on a tight budget who still appreciate elegant food and service. We will come back!
Pros: Very friendly & efficient staff, nice garden & terrace.
Cons: The description on booking.com included tea/coffee in room plus fan plus ironing board etc non of which was there. When a fan was requested it came promptly. But so disappointing that non of the extras were there. The food in the restaurant was poor. Breakfast ok but basic. We paid much more through booking.com than if we paid direct....we paid 90 euros & direct would have been 55 euros!
Pros: Very close location Staff very good. Evening meal outside was lovelly.
Pros: Location for overnight stay on the way to Swiss. Exceptional room decor, view from the window and nice comfort in country side mansion.
Cons: French breakfast. I always forget how light it is.

Pros: The restaurant was fantastic
Cons: The room was smelly, the toilet had poo in the toilet bowl but the room still smelt after cleaning. Don’t waste your money on a suite, ours was EUR404, very expensive for the room we had.
Pros: wine list and drinks price
Cons: Michelin star food experience disappointing
Pros: Exceptional food. We ordered almost every item on the restaurant menu over our three day stay and found every dish good. The staff went out of the way to deliver some restaurant food items to the room as we were travelling with an infant. Chef Jany personally said hello over breakfast, and when we had lunch in the restaurant. Service was also top-notch and could not be faulted. They accommodated various last minute changes due to delays to our flight. Staff provided expert advice on sightseeing locations. The infant cot and high chair provided were comfortable and very clean.
Pros: A charming property. We very much enjoyed the ambience. Beautiful distant mountain views in a lovely setting. We only stayed for one night so didn't have much time to enjoy the property or the local town fully. The rooms were very nicely appointed. Superbly clean and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant that evening, however it looked lovely. We ate in the property's bistro as we wanted a quick meal. It was very good. We enjoyed the decor of the property which was delightfully done. The breakfast was super with a fine selection of pastries, cereals, eggs, meats, fruit and more. The pool area was very clean and a lovely spot to while away some hours. A very nice stay with lovely attentive staff.
Pros: The reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The hotel was lovely from the outside, the bedroom was large and the decor was nice.
Cons: The bedroom was very dark and looked out onto a wall, not a garden as promised. The pool was cold, not heated as described therefore swimming was unpleasant. The meal did not, unfortunately, live up to Michelin star standards. e.g. my honeycomb/lavender desert was so sickly sweet, I was unable to eat it all. The whole experience was far too ostentatiously stylish and chichi. Also very old fashioned e.g. woman given menu without prices; man given menu with prices ! We did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Pros: The quality of cooking & food was high in the Bistro & very high in the main restaurant.
Cons: The breakfast had little choice. One type of bread only although there were the usual croissants & pain au chocolat & various cakes albeit of high quality. I saw no fresh fruit juice. There was fresh fruit. It was possible to order cooked eggs but the scrambled egg had the appearance of being made from dried egg. For the substantial cost, I would expect to have bacon, sausages etc & probably have the eggs cooked in front of me. Behind the hotel there was a large grassy area leading to the kitchen garden. This was in a very poor unkempt state with old pieces of hotel furniture & builder's rubble. The area around the swimming pool was tidy but the changing rooms/lavatories lacked soap & towels. Generally very, very scruffy. There was a building that had the appearance of a bar but no attendant & no drink. I ordered a drink from the receptionist which took nearly half an hour to produce. This is not what I expect of a Relais & Chateau hotel

Pros: Beautiful and airconditioned room, lovely terras en nice personnel. Dinner can be a surprise or very good French classics.
Cons: Guess there was one person short to help out in the evening, dinner took long to serve but the weather was nice and the one guy left to serve was very friendly.
Pros: Upgraded to a suite
Cons: Noisy digger started work early outside our room
Pros: Nothing in particular , the rioms are nicely designed , the parking on the property practical
Cons: There was a drip sound in the ac unit all night , told them hope it will be fixed. The door to bathroom was removed , would be better with it on
Pros: Good welcome and service in the dining room was rather abrupt but the waiter warmed to us and we to him. The room was comfortable. Very good food at dinner. We were given a free upgrade to a superior double room.
Cons: The dining room is large and had no atmosphere at all and with only 3 tables occupied was a bit like a morgue. The bedroom suffered from being close to the busy road so it was not possible to have a window open at night. The extract fan in the bathroom and separate W/C did not work and the hinges on the door to the W/C needed oiling to remove the squeak. Hot water was very slow coming through so a lot of water was wasted before we could shower or wash in the basin. I had to ask for a light bulb to be replaced.
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Very good food in Bistro.
Cons: Fire alarm woke us at 05:00. Hotel evacuated. No staff present. Guests called fire brigade. 20 minutes required by fire brigade to arrive. Fire in kitchen extinguished. Return to room possible after waiting outside hotel for 90 minutes. Cause of fire was oven left on with contents over night.

Pros: The location was beautifull, the owners very wellcoming and very helpfull with informations about the local things to do and to visit! ++ The room was very clean. Overall, I will rate with a 10 from 1 to 10. It was just gorgeous!!! Thank you for this beautifull time spending there! Thank you Olivier!
Pros: We had a wonderful, though short stay at the property. It's very charming, sparkling clean and peaceful. The pool is great and the breakfast with home-made jam as well. We would definititely stay there again.
Pros: The setting’ and the pool and hiking out the door!
Cons: Beware the hiking map! Very confusing if you don’t speak French
Pros: The way we were welcome was fantastic. Felt like being received as a family member. The room was lovely, very clean with a great view!
Cons: Breakfast was good but too continental/French to my liking. No choice of cheese which is a bit odd with a cheese maker close by... If you don't like jam much like me (even home made) you're a bit stuck

Pros: the manager supplied a fan after we complained about the extreme heat in the room.
Cons: There was no internet as advertised because of an outage.
Pros: All good. Good value for money. Good location for travelling to Nice.
Pros: The food was good
Cons: The rooms were not at all good basic and very cheap when it said bathroom it didn’t have a toilet in the room There was no air con and no available fan and it was very hot and we were unable to open the window due to heavy traffic noise and mosquitos having been bit a lot whilst eating our dinner
