Cons: Paying for our stay was more difficult than expected. We did not have the ability to use a credit card, nor were we prepared to use cash. Pros: Roomy and very comfortable - nice and warm too.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Did not have breakfast there.
Cons: nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: This is a dated motel. Actual furniture is adequate. It has become a victim of time and could be progressively updated in so far as the building is concerned. This would depend on income and future intentions of the owners. hmm!!
Cons: An aged building which may be almost past its use date.
6.8 Good
Cons: Cold Leaving the heat pump on meant it was noisy during the night
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The unit was lovely and homely, and spacious. Bed was really comfy and warm, and pillows excellent. The heatpump was efficient and the facilities really good. Close to all amenities, and fairly minimal road noise at night. Will definitely stay here again, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay here - thanks.
Cons: Only 1 negative was the poor shower head, it really just "splattered" with not a lot of pressure. Probably something that can be easily rectified, and certainly not a deal-breaker!

Pros: This property suited us as it was near our friends. It was very quite, secluded and restful with birdsong all around; ideal after a very long journey! John & Marion were charming hosts and very helpful. We loved the elephant chairs and the garden and actually sat out to eat breakfast one morning.
Cons: The only downside was the lack of light to the front door from the car parking area at night if you didn't switch on the light before going out or have a torch with you! Also, the lack of a sign outside the property meant we drove straight past it. HINT - look for the number on the mailbox and don't be alarmed by the big gate!
10.0 Excellent

5.8 Okay
Pros: The lady in charge was very nice to speak to. The bed was ok and the supply of towels was generous.
Cons: We felt a little insecure because of the route outside to the toilet. We knew it was off the deck but it was also across concrete steps that were a bit uneven. It seemed to us that making access from the bedroom direct could have been achieved. The cobwebs around the deck should have been swept away before we came and the hoses on the deck tidied away for safety's sake. Neither our room nor the shower room nor the toilet could be locked by us so we were uncomfortable about leaving our stuff in the chalet. For $140 per night we expected a more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and easy to find. Some.good cafes nearby.
Cons: Very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay. Very quiet and relaxing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cooked breakfast was marvellous and plentiful! Just the right kind of relaxing place we needed before travelling to the airport for the journey home.
Cons: Nothing!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: This Farmstay is very misleading on Booking.com. The state of the surroundings around the farm made me doubt what the state of the cabin would be like and really was not a lot better than a backpackers hostel. The restaurant and bar advertised as close by has closed down therefore a trip to town is required for food. I was very disappointed and if I was not so tired after a long drive would have moved on. To charge $140 per night is way above what it should be. As a regular user of Booking.com this would have to be the worst value for money I have experienced. Would not recommend at all. Very unsatisfactory.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Debra was very welcoming and it was perfect for what we were after
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was nice and confy
Cons: The bacon on the breakfast was burnt aswell as hash browns but other than that. It was fine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and relaxing
5.5 Okay
Cons: A place we wanted to like more than we did. To start, the good; the hostess was very kind and the bed pre-warmed with a cozy electric blanket. Unfortunately, the room smelled stuffy, the door was hard to lock, the lighting to the outside bathroom poor, there was no lock on the door to the shower room and a number of other smaller but irksome things. Not up to muster based on the price.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Refreshing difference from the standard places, gave us a colourful experience to remember. comfortable bed. delightful host. all the consumables and equipment we needed for a very comfortable stay.
Cons: the weather, but that is not the host's fault.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was organic and home made. We were welcome to observe the milking, wander round the farm, chat to the owners as they worked. A very happy experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As a farmstay, we found it delightful to see how Steve and Lyndal looked after their animals. The farm is easy to find and the facilities provided are first class.
Cons: We wish we booked an extra night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lyndal and Steve were friendly, accommodating hosts who seemed to truly enjoy sharing their way of life with their guests. They took me all around the farm, while they were working, allowing me to see much of the really hard work that goes into raising livestock. I got to watch sheep and goats being milked (and learned from their names which ones were for milking/cheesemaking purposes, and which were "for the chop"!), and chickens, ducks and pigs being fed. It was quite an education. They had a young agriculture student living there, and it was enjoyable talking to her as well, finding out what New Zealand had to offer her for education/careers in agriculture. It was fun to have dinner and breakfast with these good-natured folks, and to play "parlour games" in the evening. Surpassed my expectations. I will definitely stay there again if I ever return to NZ.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Steve and Lyndal are excellent hosts and the breakfasts and evening meals are wonderful. Our room and ensuite was very nice and we even had our own lounge. The farm is in a lovely setting, away from the town but within easy access by car; and having all the animals around is wonderful.
