Swimming pool and delicious breakfast The clealiness of the room. It was not mentioned that when you obtain a reduction for the price of the room, the cleanliness will follow.
We were given a suite, which was a nice surprise. Very nice breakfast, when it is included in the price. Our bathroom was dirty and we had to call to have it cleaned upon check in. Although it was a treat to be given a suite, the room was in great need of an overhaul.
excellent service in a quiet place no to far to the city
Good breakfast. Old fashioned hotel built in 1985 (looks like in scary movies). Awful shower. Internet is for money only, it is nonsense nowadays. Not a 5* hotel, it is rather very average 4*.
excellent (small) pool & gym facilities for hotel, free parking, quiet, fantastic breakfast, decent room size, decoration, light, curtains, 2 comfy armchairs, table, desk extremely soft bed (never seen a softer bed in any hotel), no wall sockets for laptop at desk or telephone charger next to the bed (only one at the window or you have to pull furniture from the wall to reach one near the desk... very inconvenient). A noisy buzzing kind of speaker (alarm speaker system?) on the side of the bed - quite disturbing at night. No ventilation at all in bathroom/toilet area (there's a vent but no airflow at all). No Toilet brush. Extremely expensive internet (10 euro 1hr, 17 euro 24hr) and troublesome to have to buy a password at reception each time you want to use it (unless you buy multiple days or week package on day 1). No complementary still water bottle, water in minibar and placed on table 6+ euro
Good location on the hill side close to the town. Good swimming pool
swimming pool and sauna the location of hair dryer in the bathroom is unpractical.
I had Flemish asparagus in your restaurant and it may be the best prepared asparagus I have ever eaten. The breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bus very convenient. Hotel excellent value - would stay there again and would highly recommend. We had to take cab to airport because hotel van was busy.
staff extremely service oriented, pleasant and childfriendly
Although it is out of town, there is a shuttle. The hotel is perhaps a bit tired and in need of an update, but the value is nevertheless superb for the price. The breakfast, included, is first rate.
The room was big (much bigger than I even hoped) and the king sized bed was AWESOME! Room was also very quiet, which means the walls were sufficiently thick. The room was sterile. The bathroom was large, but there was no method or madness to the space itself. The TVs were old and need to be updated (the one in the bedroom didn't work; thankfully the one in the living room did).
It feels like staff members have financial targets to achieve before customer service
The local is rather quite; Personnel is supportive. Good restaurant. Internet access is too expensive, a today's service that should be for free. No air-conditioning in the room. Too much noise coming from outside.
Hotel is well placed for Luxembourg city. We enjoyed our meal in the recently redecorated restaurant. There is a large car park.
Quiet Mid-renovation. First room given smelled. Poor in room facilities, poor service in restaurant. Defintately not a 4 star hotel.
had a lovely time staying at this hotel.had spent my frist night in the hilton just up the road and the alvisse parc hotel was so so much better on all things eg the cost of food & drink was so much cheaper, the staff were much more helpfull and the whole style of the hotel was much better than the hilton that cost for one night the same as our whole 3 days at the alvisse parc .we were there for the world cup of food(so we know the bussness well)its on again in 4yrs so it will be this hotel we will be staying at
I have found the services I expected. This Hotel is pleasant
All of your staff were pleasant, polite and very helpful. There was also plenty of free car parking. Only ten minutes from the city centre by car. You have a bus service just outside the hotel. Dining room and waiting staff are excellent. The food was adequately cooked but a little slow arriving. Your hotel is generally very good although parts of the interior were showing their age
The facilities (room, swimming pool, bar, breakfast) were good, and the staff were pleasant. The hotel has a spacious reception area, and is in an accessible location. The facilities provided good value for money. Hard mattresses and only one pillow per person, resulting in an uncomfortable night's sleep. An over-crowded breakfast room, meaning that we had to eat breakfast in the (rather noisy from the TV) bar. No spare towels by the pool.
Nice environment, good logistics 4-star hotel ut the furniture is quite old, the staff could improve
the indoor swimming pool was not convenient for small kids
The car park was extensive and free. The hotel was in the middle of refurbishment which hadn't been mentioned when we booked.
Modern and very well equipped. Nice restaurant and bar. There is a company at the back side that starts working at 4-5 am
Very nice design and interior of the hotel. Slow internet connection (cannot complain much as it was for free) Breakfast buffet way too expensive for what is being served. Missing iron board in the room and laundry service.
A new hotel near the airport finished to a high standard. Friendly and accommodating staff. The dining menu is too "haute cuisine" and needs to be simplified. In talking to the hotel manager this is coming and will be in place by November.
Very modern, cosy and clean hotel. Excellent wellness facilities. Very decent breakfast. Special thanks to the very friendly hotels staff (especially at the reception). This is an example of a hotel wjhere they try to make you feel good at all instances. Location in a business park is a bit strange but in the weekend the area is very calm.
Good modern hotel, good food (but expensive), very good and reliable internet connection (and free!!) 17 Euro for breakfast (breakfast is very good but still..)
most of the staff members were very nice!
Service and staff were as you would expect from a five star hotel. We were contacted by the hotel when we booked to ensure all our requirements would be met, and they were.
Large room with a very comfortable bed, with terrace. Bathroom excellent with great amenitiies. Breakfast was lovely. Price of drinks in the piano bar was a little on the expensive side - even for a 5 star hotel!
The staff was excellent! It was a very classy hotel.
The quality of the breakfast That the restaurant in the Hotel was closed:
The hotel was really nice! Everything was nicely organized, staff was polite and very friendly, the spa was well maintained and clean. Breakfast also very good.We enjoyed our stay very much!
Excellent 5 star hotel. Perfectly located near the center of town.
The location was perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We received a free room upgrade when we arrived to an executive suite which was very nice, the room had everything we needed including fluffy robes and slippers. We were initially worried when we arrived, that the Hotel seemed very posh and we had arrived on a motorbike as we were touring round parts of Europe on our holiday. We thought the Hotel may not appreciate us arriving outside on a bike with all our outdoor gear on. However this was not the case and the staff were very courteous and helpful. The Breakfast was very enjoyable and served in a lovely room. I would definately recommend this hotel to others and I would recommend a weekend stay in Luxembourg it was so enjoyable.
Ubicacion no food at the bar lounge
Staff spoke English, rooms were air-conditioned and well appointed. Parking is limited but was always available when I needed it (but lot was full in the morning). Nearby construction often blocked roads temporarily.
The bed is excellent, and the room is large. The price was 130 including breakfast and parking, as well as large comfort room and excellent bar. I would say this could worth like Westin, Hyatt, or any this kind of high class hotel, which price from 200-400. So if you find the price of this hotel is below 140, this should be your option in Luxembourg. Unfortunately, this hotel is little bit far from the city center, at least it might be difficult to walk from the railway station. And the hotel is located in the center of business center, so if the season is like business season when some event would be hold, the price might become very high and the stay not so comfortable, I would guess.
Great room, comfortable bed Priced for eurocrats, not a good value even at steep discounted rates due to location.
Immediate and excellent service by the Housekeeping and Room service personnel. The receptionists need to provide proactive details of tours (like the city tour) to hotel guests who ask for them, such as the closest place to catch the Tourist bus, sell the bus tickets, etc. Currently all that they say is 'go to the tourist information centre in the city'.
Style and comfort of hotel
No hassle No
Excellent staff, architecture, comfort, small and quiet. WiFi not accessible on top floor.
The room was decorated in warm tones, with a comfortable bed. The hotel has wi-fi, but one has to pay €7 an hour to use it, which seems excessive. The TV had many channels, but almost all were in German.
Very quite None
The power shower. The shower being in full view of the whole room.
This is a great hotell, situated just "above" the Grund in Lux. City, with a fabolous view to the Old Town ++. Our price (weekend-price) did not include breakfast, which is rather expensive (EUR 30/pers) at the hotel - however, there are lots of cafés in the old town. The rooms are nice and fresh (even with an espresso-machine, and free mini-bar (non-alcoholic)). if you want to stay just in the midle of the old town, this hotel might be a bit too far away, however, it felt very central.
I liked the panoramic view of Luxembourg Slow service
The room was outstanding. Lots of nice amenities and attention to details (bathrobes, coffeemaker, flower, L'Occitane soaps, excellent shower) and the design was spacious, original, funky and modern yet warm and comfortable. Wifi should be included. Shower leaked out onto the floor due to design flaw/bad seal. No easy garage access. Room should have radio alarm clock with iPod plugin.
Most comfortable bed ever. Wonderful shower Needs more English language TV channels
The beds and linens were outstanding, as was the proximity to the lower town and casements Boch. Walking down by the river provided wonderful atmosphere. The complimentary (non alcoholic) beverages in the minibar were a very welcome touch that we enjoyed!
Spacious room I called them at 22 h and nobody was ready to pick up my shirts and deliver in the morning about 8 30 am, ironed.
It is the best hotel in Luxembourg, a bit less central than the Royal but close nevertheless and newer/nicer. Nothing to report
Very new hotel only opened in Feb 2008. Shower is great all glass in part of the bedroom. Lovely TV, bed and decor. Free mini bar was a nice touch although it only contained soft drinks. Breakfast at €30 was extreme so we did no bother.
Space and decoration of rooms
the location was marvelous. The hotel staff very friendly and multilingual.
Fantastic view, always approachable and helpful staff, comfortable room, fabulous buffet breakfast. I don't think there was anything I didn't like!
Friendly staff, good food Rooms and furniture need updating, spa facilities small, only one restaurant working. Far from 5 stars.
Pool and associated facilities Rooms need revamping
The hotel was wonderful and we will definitely stay there again. It was very clean. The hotel room was a large suite, and although the furnishings were a bit outdated, it was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was deluxe with a jacuzzi tub and electronic shower system. The room had two toilets even. The amenities were great: The pool was beautiful and the perfect temperature. We had it all to ourselves when we went swimming since it is heading into their slow season. The workout facilities are beautiful. I am a huge breakfast snob and not easily impressed; however their breakfast was superior. A very large display of items including fresh fruit and 3 kinds of eggs, and little sausages. Best of all was the homeade pastries. The croissants were better than anything we had in Paris - so flaky and buttery. I could have eaten my weight in them. All the little extra touches made this the place to stay: turn down service at night with chocolates on your pillow, free shuttle service into town, hot milk to go with your coffee in the morning, and a gift when you leave. We were there for the Echternach Marathon. They asked if we finished and then gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The staff was very friendly and always had a smile for us. This is a top notch place for all those reasons. The town of Echternach also has much to recommend. Can't wait to go back!
Some friendly staff. This hotel advertises as quiet and peaceful. Yet on Friday and Saturday nights it allows extreme noise and does nothing to stop it. There was only one junior member of staff on duty, no one on reception and it was necessary to get dressed at 1am in the morning and go downstairs to ask if the noise could be controlled. The member of staff was young and unable to do anything. During the day some staff members were unfriendly. The room facilities were clearly not up to the advertised standard. Also we were told not to take bottled water or snacks into our room because they want you to use the minibar. Food and drink was very expensive and if something is not up to standard no refund is given. This hotel does not seem to encourage British guests. We would not stay there again.
Fantastic wellness facilities, pleasant & helpful staff, superb quality of buffet breakfast, all rooms have a private balcony. Nothing
The surroundings were very nice. The food was very good, both dinner & breakfast. The hotel was old, but still very cozy and charming. The machinnes in the fitness were brand new = Excellent The opening hours for the Spa. People were naked in the sauna, which is not my thing...
Loved this hotel. Very nice rooms, friendly staff and excellent saunas. The restaurant is excellent. I don't recommend for solo travelers. It is definitely more for couples, as the whole set up is pretty romantic.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Spa complex extensive and modern. Good location overlooking the town. Bathrooms beginning to need modernisation. The hotel prides itself on its gourmet dinners which are expensive and well supported, but does not offer any alternative except to go into town. For a 5 star this seems very limited. This should be made clear on your website and in the hotel information.
We had an excellent stay in this hotel although I think this is more a 4-star hotel than a 5-star. Our room was big and very clean but furnitures and bathroom are a bit outdated. Nevertheless everything was clean. Hotel infrastructure is great with pools and gym etc. - all very clean. Breakfast is ok. The saturday's night buffet was great and delicious. Conclusion : great hotel with some improvement areas. Congratulations to the staff and the manager who are all very nice and helpful.
Very friendly staff, great value, modern design Lack of English outside of front desk
The hotel is very new, and therefore in good order, clean, well- presented and with very well furnished bedrooms - the bed was one of the biggest I'd ever seen, and extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent. Of the hotels in the conference district this is probably the best positioned, because it backs directly onto the old fort giving a traffic-free pedestrian route into the town. The pre-opening room rate was a bargain. The conference district is utterly soulless and often very empty; as a new hotel it is still finding its feet and some things were not well done - for example we noted that the sauna was not on all day, so asked at reception for it to be hot by 8am, and it wasn't done. The bars and restaurants were completely empty, though the staff were attentive, but it wasn't particularly comfortable for the leisure traveller.
excellent view over the city parking place very expensive, even if there was no lack of space (more expensive than in Venice (IT)!)
Everything was OK, no complaints
Beautiful big room. Everything was new and clean. Hotel staff was friendly. Breadfast merely acceptable. Next parking garage was not functioning, the next one closing earlier (theoretically at 12 pm, but at 11.55 pm it was already closed). The hotel is near the city centre but actually in the outsides being the sorroundings for me not really cheerful and inviting. Did I have know where it is exactIy, would I have not booked the hotel.
Comfortable spacious room, impeccable cleanliness, great location for European institutions Sterile modernist decor and bright, undimmable lights may not be to everyone's liking. Limited TV offer - especially for international guests.
convenience & comfort
Relatively new Awful standards, cheap fixtures, cutting corners on everything from in room coffee to linens, more like a budget hotel
Very modern hotel, good furniture; good breakfast. Sightseeing bus stops in front of hotel. Expensive public parking; rather long walk to down town area.
The location and the atmosphere of the hotel. We needed to ask the staff questions on matters that they should have just informed us. Also, we booked a executive room with access to the lounge which never opened. After searching for an answer to our question, the staff told us to go upstairs to the bar area and they would do something for us. Overall, we were very disappointed in the customer service and the hotel not fulfilling what they had offered.
Location is very good with great view to the city (if you can get a room overlooking the city center). Very helpful and plesant staff. Very comfortable beds, with a choice of pillow type. The 4euros/hour internet service is somehow expensive. If you don't include breakfast in your reservation then it is difficult to get a coffee in the morning (no bar service). In addition, the 20euros charge for breakfast is on the expensive side.
The buffet and food in general was good. Great shower! When i arrived at the Luxemburg airport I went to the information Center to find out how I could get to the hotel. The representative told me that it was within walking distance. In fact no taxi would take me their because it was too close. She pointed outside to a brown building and said it was on the other side of it. It was not on the other side. Probably a quarter of a km. away from the airport. It was an ok walk for me but I'm not sure all patrons could walk it. Possibly you can call for the hotel shuttle but they do not advertise it. Also coming from Canada I wasn't using my cell phone and I saw no courtesy phone at the airport to call the hotel.
Situation near the airport and the highway. The car parking spaces are too small - pretty well every second one cannot be used.
Clean room, good selection and quality at Breakfast I found the reception staff rather curt - although I am English I do try to speak and understand French (in a limited way). I understand Luxembourg has many languages so this is different to normal. I could not find information about hotel or local services in my room.
Everything was good. Good breakfast, clean room and good location for Luxexpo. Very small room.
Good price with clean room.
Very good free WIFI. Excellent break fast. Good mattress. Very good price.
nice and clean and good location...not to far from citi and close to airport a lot of dogs at the hotel... ( guest had them)
Very small room. I have requested 3 separate beds, got only 2 (1 king size). The room was like 20m2 and very small for 3 people.
all the staff where very helpful
Good location. It's not a bad hotel. It's clean. Small room.
Outside of the sity.
The lobby staff was efficient but bar staff in the evening overworked. Only one person on serving, at the cash desk and clearing, washing and cleaning I bought a 20 euro card for internet that did not work because the signal was too weak. I told the front desk but nothing changed. The card was useless
the bed was the best was very confortable paying of internet
Confortable room Adsl web connection in the room only available through wifi, please provide cable connection as well (in case something goes wrong with the wifi in one's computer as was my case) Lack of exercise facilities
The rooms were big and the beds were big. We also had dinner at the hotel and it was very good. Well the hotel was a bit far from the city. I wish there was a shuttle to and from the city center.
Nothing really. A hotel without a soul. If you are tired of live and looking for the most boring hotel, this would be the place to stay for your holiday.
Friendly staff and good beds, spacious rooms with a sofa to relax There was no aircon and the rooms where very warm, considering there's construction ongoing you won't open your window as you'll wake-up at 7AM from the drilling noise.
We were on the 7th floor and the water didn't run well.
Nice rooms, close to the concert hall (Coque) where we went later. Restaurant with good dishes and reasonable price. Staff was not really friendly.
It's close to the Jean Monnet building The entrance to the hotel is not easy to find!
Comfortable bed and room. Close to the Philharmonie which was reason for stay Room was too hot and the airconditioning for whole hotel had been switched to warm ready for winter. Staff informed me that the airconditioning could not be controlled in individual rooms. Too noisy to leave windows open as construction site surrounding hotel.
The Hotel facility It's quite far away from the center. It suits for people who have a relaxing trip, not a sightseeing tour. It takes almost 30 min to center
Great breakfast, plenty of free parking, less than 1 minute from the highway (and airport, for that matter), view on cargo airplanes, wonderful NH shampoo and shower gel.
I've been staying at the NH Luxemburg for the past 8 months while working in Luxemburg and waiting for my house to finish. It's very close to work but so are others, like the Ibis. Don't know what that's like but I keep coming back to the NH because the rooms are so nice and the beds so comfortable. This hotel is walking (!) distance from tiny Luxemburg airport. Beware of getting a room on the airport side. The (propellor) plane engines are a deep rumble which are disturbing. The food at the hotel is 10-15 euro a course with wine starting at 4.50 a glass. None of it is very good and you need to have a car if you want to eat somewhere else. There are no fitness facilities or near the airport any running/walking possibilities (middle of a business park/airport area without sidewalks)
What I liked? nothing actually - first of all staff - when I arrived there, maybe due to my nationality, even though I gave my credit card, they asked me cash guarantee, which I never had this issue in any other hotel. Second - the room is decent, but not for 4 starts as is quoted, I rather say 2, 5 stars. I think the bathroom is done like 20 years ago, really old fashion. Thirdly - cleaning of the room - you could see hair all over the place in the bathroom, which is not nice at all. As well you could see hair in the food in the morning - omelette's. Fourthly - I had in my reservation - free mini bar during the weekend, but the mini bar was so free, that even was locked with the key. Very reasonably priced and a decent value for money restaurant. Only the "smoking" bar was open for dinner with noisy modern rave music. Not possible to eat in a non smoking area or restaurant.
Cleanlines and service, good resturance
fine breakfast 2 nights there was much noise until 2am; 20 minutes from the city centre by bus
Fantastic room so amazing offer. Bicycles seemed a problem when we checked in. They found somewhere but it was the only hotel in the holiday that this happened.
Walking distance from airport Breakfast was expensive, and not very good
Very near the airport, comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good but expensive Car park was a mess and difficult to use because of road works
egg and bacon for breakfast was cold
The staff were very accomodating, and the proximity to my office in Luxembourg was outstanding! Also, it was very clean and such an enjoyable stay.
Location is good, very convenient to go to the center. We stayed 5nights, but in the one night, no room cleaning. And twice, no supplemental water.
The location was a very short walk to the downtown shops and sites. The staff was efficient and the breakfast good. Our room lacked a few simple amenities that would have been nice: an ironing board and iron, and a full length mirror.
The rooms were not as quite as would like to have. Noice from upstairs and outside did not make the night sleep very relaxing
Hotel is clean and in a good location for business - near the EU quarter but also close to shopping and sightseeing.Room was clean and fairly big. Breakfast was good. However, it is not worth the 4 stars it claims it has. No caprets in the room but also no floor heating. You can hear the neighbours walking in their rooms because there is no noise isolation due to lack of carpets. For two people in the room they provided only 1 pair of slippers, etc.
My room was quite spacious, the breakfast was uneventful, but ok. The rooms lack some love / thought. For example in the bathroom there is no light close to the mirror, so good luck shaving. The minuscule flatscreen tv is so far away, you'd rather watch it on your cellphone. And while I was there (6 days), Internet only worked half of the time. I was in the "annex" building, which is a bit weird since cross the street. Although a bit more recent than the rest, it felt a bit detached from the rest (no pun intended)
Presentation and style were excellent. Location was very good. Staff were very helpful and seemed to enjoy their work. The provision of tea/coffee making in the room would have been good
Privacy Staff spoke poor English
Only a short walk from main shopping/bars/restaurants. Free parking outside hotel on the weekend.
The assistance of the staff and the confort of the room
The style of the room, well designed and clean.
Nice new hotel. The restuarant and its staff were excellent One of the front desk clerks was not very friendly or helpful when asking about things to see and places to go in the area. Really was one reason when ended our trip a day early
Quietness and space See copy of my e-mail sent to guest relations@ accor
The hotel is very well located, is silent, clean, is possible open the window, the rooms have very nice colours and they are comfortable. The hotel staff is very professional. I like everything
The location and the staff
brand new hotel, modern, quiet, good size room with sofa bed for kids, separate little room for the toilet was a nice feature a bit of a walk for small kids to the tourist attractions, no info on hotel services/facilities in the room, curtains did not completely block outside light, windows do not open
Very clean and comfortable room Luxurious bathroom and nice shower Great views Good value for money Location is a bit hard to find Expensive breakfast
Room excellent as everything new when I stayed Close to centre so handy for walks etc TV was flat panel etc which looked great but the reception was very poor so most channels were very fuzzy - virtually no entertainment channels in English just the usual news/business. Key card did not work initially but this seemed to be a teething problem which was resolved quickly
Construction area nearby
Although not enthusiastically, I liked the gym. The personnel at the counter. They were cold and not very helpful when I explain that whenever they charge a customer's credit card they should inform the customer first.
Rooms were very nice, new, clean. Liked the apple computers in lobby, help yourself consession stand (at any time of day or night you can grab a drink or food and charge to room). No blackout shades on windows, and florescent lights from exterior of building brightened interior during night
the room facility separated toilet from the bathroom the microven the free internet and films the Hotel is still under construction and the parking garage is full of dirt and dust that you will walk on and carry to the room also I booked a superior room with one double and 2 singles beds but there was one double and one single
The young lady at the reception was very professional and very friendly. I stayed with my son of 19 years and the room could be devided into two with the curtain: this was perfect. The concept of the breakfast. I prefer the tradidionnal buffet.
The entire hotel is brand-new, rooms are extremely well-designed, just feel like home! The location as well is fine, close to the city and straight on the Philharmonic Opera. Perfect!
Location is great for the purpose of my trip, just across the street from the Congres, but not close to the tourist area.
I have only the best impressions. I would recommend it. On some webs this hotel was marked on the Google map in the wrong place (next to number 37-39 on the street not 13) . In fact it was 1.5 km further.
Location was wonderful.
Nice swimming pool and hotel garden. Good breakfast. Overpriced restaurant. Children were charged 20 euros for a small schnitzel. Family room consisted of 3 real beds and one couch bed.
The room was really big and very clean. The garden and solarium are lovely. It was quiet and extremely relaxing. Why is there no soap in the bathroom. People like to wash their hands after they go to the toilet! ... The TV was very small, but we didn't use it anyway.
Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are very clean. Quit and relaxing environment.
Comfortable hotel at good location for making long nature walks. Spacious and comfortable room. Good swimming pool. Free wireless Internet. Clientele is mixture of French-speaking elderly couples and Dutch-speaking large families. Good (non-gourmet) restaurant. Restaurant is overpriced. Background music in public areas is irritating.
With a one-year old we found the staff very helpful and they went out of their way to make a meal that he could eat. A previous review comment made us think that the waiting staff wouldn't be very helpful to English speaking guests but we found if we tried the very basic French we know they were more than helpful and we muddled through (reception staff talk wonder English and will help if struggling). When we visit our friends again we will definately use Hotel Meyer again. Only thing I can think of being negative is that a kettle in our room would have been very helpful for heating baby bottles. If you are bringing a baby it might be a good idea to invest in a travel kettle.
The spacey, comfortable room. being at the front side, the noise of the street early in the morning.
Very nice room. Quiet location. NIce garden. Helpful and friendly staff. Good walks in the area. Breakfast uninspiring. Food in brasserie of variable quality.
Everything. Excellent hotel.
it was functional no
very noisy outside (railway station, bus station)
Hotel was suppose to be smoke free but on arrival our room smelt of cigarette smoke but was informed that it was impossible. After leaving the window open all night and it was 5 degrees the smell went.
great position! nice breakfast
Close to station (we were only staying one night and wanted to be able to walk from station with baggage, which we could) - it was great being able to see the sign from the station - girl on reception when we arrived was helpful The guy on reception when we left was a bit pushy about paying the bill before we checked out
one of the few hotels with a three-beds room no place near the entrance even to stop a car to get off, the staff didn't want to order a taxi to the aiport, we had to go accross the square with our heavy bags to hire a taxi poor breakfast
Everything was very clean and the personal was very kind and helpful It was a litle bit noisy for the traffic
Staff were very helpful. Hotel was within walking distance of the City Centre and amentities.
the room was nice and it was rather warm, the location is perfect if one needs to catch a bus or train from Luxembourg. The breakfast was also good. The construction site out of the bathroom window - not a nice view at all.
Location: directly opposite train station. It takes abit of walking to the city centre but it isn't far, and the sights/shops you see along the way are worth it. The room had sufficient space and looked modern and clean. Free wifi was good. I requested for a double bed when making my booking but they gave me and my partner two single beds instead, which proved inconvenient. The shower didn't have a door, only a curtain that didn't prove enough to stop water leaking onto the toilet floor if the shower is at full blast and not angled correctly. Because we headed out late the second day (11+am?) the cleaners only gave us fresh towels but neglected to clean the toilet after we left, leaving us with a wet and cold toilet floor, which was unpleasant. Still, given its price and location, recommendable.
One of the most wonderful and beautiful walks/trail in the "world" passes by the hotel and excellent spa
Staff are kind and cooperative, dinner was good. Well maintained but facility is a bit old.
the quality of the restaurant was excellent, the service at table was discrete and efficient. the location with the walking routes very close to the hotel was very practical, the wellness centre with the swimming pool although small was nice (but we were lucky that there were very few guests otherwise it would have been too small and soon crowded) we did not like the first room too noisy as on the road and we dislike the new building, that has an awful architecture wrt to what I had expected to be a "chateau".the building and the furniture including the carpet are too old, and shall be renovated to be up to a 4 stars hotel. bicycles were not available. overall the hotel is a good 3 stars, but certainly not 4 stars
Hotel well located for walks/hikes in the 'Little Switzerland' area but also possible to walk into Echternach. Set in lovely peaceful grounds.Comfortable well-appointed room. Very good buffet breakfast. We enjoyed the use of the swimming pool and steam room after a long hike!
The property is very nice and only a 5 min drive to downtown. The pool is great. As the wellness center didn't open until 4pm, the kids had the pool to themselves in the am. No vegetarian options in the restaurant. Terrace very small and not very attractive. No lawn chairs outside to sit in the sun, just steel benches. Rooms are small. Glad we didn't pay the extra Euro 26 per night for our son as this would have made the room too overpriced for what it is. Breakfast service friendly but slow.
i liked the wellness features and swimming pool, i liked the yard and the comfort lounge rooms
good, comfortable room and a very nice wellness and fitness area tiles around pool were very slippery when wet.Slippers might be provided by the hotel
the location value for money out of line, and without being respectless. it's more an hotel for older people.
it is not 4 star hotel, i think it is only 3 star
