A True 4 star business hotel. Excellent value for the money the room was spotless, the hotel staff very helpful. The location was excellent for sightseeing of the Rhein/Mosel Region. $20 euro breakfast was not included in the price.
Superb view from 10th floor! Excellent breakfast! The best all our holiday!
It was an affordable hotel with good service and a nice view. It was a considerable distance from Koblenz
The food was excellent and the room was the best i had ever had.
We enjoyed our stay because the staff was very friendly and accomodatimg. The hotel is very nice, the room was very clean, and the breakfast had a good variety. The breakfast was costly if you are not a big eater.
It was clean and the view was lovely from our room That there is no swimming pool - everywhere there are signs around the hotel that say SPA or thermal spa - and the swimming pool is empty in a state of disrepair - however the countryside next to the hotel is very nice.
Away from the center of the city nestled on top a hill. Nice view. We booked a Leisure Deluxe room. Rooms are listed as follows: On Wyndham Site: Business Room (30 sqm) Junior Suite (37 sqm) Standard Double (18 sqm) Standard Single (18 sqm) Suite (70 sqm) Suite Deluxe (85 sqm) Superior Double (22 sqm) Triple Room (52 sqm) Notice, the only place the word “Deluxe” exists is the "Suite Deluxe" which is 85 sqm! When we arrived, we were told we would be given an upgrade of a room as our room type was not available. We were given a Triple Room. How can we be upgraded if we booked the best room they had? After complaining about the room, we were told that they only had 2 different room types: standard and business. The business room was the same as a triple. After showing the staff their website, they confirmed that it is misleading but that there was nothing they could do. They had nothing else to offer. One staff member said, if they had a suite, they would give it to us. So I proceeded to go online to find that I could still book a Junior Suite. The room was supposed to have a “deep soaking tub”. We got a 80cm x80cm shower. I'm still scratching from a bedbug bite. Mattress was sagging (we got 2 twin beds and booked a king). The room and balcony needed paint. On the balcony the paint was actually flaking off. The shower faucet was old and deteriorated. The radiator hadn't been dusted off in months. The safe was so small that you couldn't even fit a netbook... no key anyway. The sink was installed lower than code. The pillows were several years old. The curtains would not close. And we were given no maid service the first day because we left the room around noon. 4 stars? Don't go there!
Staff should be fluent in English. The rooms should have air co.
Very comfortable hotel. rooms very clean. Helpfull staff. Good location near Koblenz. Nice garden.
Great hotel, good restaraunt, amazing views.
staff where helpful, breakfast was brilliant plenty of choice, beds where very comfortable meals in the evening where very expensive 25 euro for buffet not including drinks, bar menu was rubbish, not much choice and quiet expensive too. local food is definately worth it
View to the Rhein. Maybe the breakfast is not so varied.
The staff was really nice and the location is excelent just in front of the river. The breakfast was very nice too and from the breakfast room you can see the beautiful river through the window. Finally, the city is really worthy to visit, with its narrow streets and its view of castles on the montains. Due to a misunderstanding while we were having breakfast the lady came to clean our room, so when we came back everything was tidy as for a new guest, so we felt a little as if we should have been leaving and not enjoying the time left in our room.
The staff were always happy to talk and offer advice on local amenities.
Nice staff, large rooms, great value
Location overlooking the river. Very friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Bathroom was a bit small especially the shower with shower curtain
Personal touch from the owner, nothing was too much trouble. Will visit the hotel again and recommend to all my friends. Nothing at all, perfect.
I loved that the hotel is right on the bank of the Rhine and is just a few steps from the pier. I had a balcony room which overlooked the Rhine. The rooms are on the small side and the furnings are rather dated although clean. The staff/owner are helpful and friendly. I wish the barrier between the balconies were higher - they are just about waist high so you're basically standing right next to the guests next door if you're both outside. The rooms also allowed smoking so there was a smell in them (perhaps there are non-smoking rooms?). It was a very cosy hotel however and I had a great time here so would definitely come back if I were to stay in Boppard again.
The room we booked was a nice bedroom/living room suite, but in the annex, not facing the river. We were able the upgrade to a riverfront room with a balcony for an additional Euro 17 per night, which we felt was a good value. There were 5 or 6 of these rooms on each floor, and I think a group with 2 to 5 adjacent rooms would enjoy socializing across the balconies.
My family stayed at the Hotel and it as excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful the two rooms we had were very clean. we had a room on the first and third floor you can see more from the third floor balcony.
The Hotel was in a great location right on the Rhine Promenade in Boppard. Friendly helpful staff made it a great stay for a few nights.
great staff. location. decor no
This is a fantastic hotel. We have stayed here before and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Great as always
The position right on the Rhein, with a little balcony was great. The noise between rooms was pretty bad, and although the staff was responsive to inquiries or requests, I have to say their manner was a bit dour
Very helpful staff, lovely room, parking inexpensive at close no wireless connection in room apart from T mobile which is expensive,
The location is really excellent The room and communal areas are rather dated and not very clean. The staff not very helpfull
The location of the hotel is spectacular, with an amazing view of the river! The staff is very helpful and kind. Eating at the hotel's restaurants is a really good option too. The city is lovely, a very nice place for wine lovers and the hotel is perfectly located to explore all the options that the Rhein Valley offers. The rooms are a bit noisy, both due to the trains on the other side of the river and due to the thin walls. The lack of free internet access in the rooms is also a problem.
Great location, nice rooms, good facilities. Will come again, if in the area. Pool was not open at 7 AM the day I was there.
The relaxed atmosphere and position of the hotel. Well worth the supplement for a river view.
Loved it! The perfect location on the banks of the Rhine. Staff couldn't have been more friendly. Pool a bit small, but otherwise everything just right. Will I go back? You bet!
Very convenient for old town. Lovely breakfast room, tastefully decorated in keeping with original style. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent location; fabulous breakfast
Charming olde world style - staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast room charming and selection more than adequate. Use of Internet most helpful. Position in the city excellent for sight seeing, access to the Rhine Ferry and all points of interest.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room location was excellent. No air conditioning
The staff was extremely helpful in pointing out places to go and things to see. The rooms were very pleasant and comfortable.
great location good breakfast too early check out time staff does not speak english fluently
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, greeting you as you came and went from your room. For the price we paid for the room I have no complaints.
convenience to the old town and the Rhein Boats could do with a mini bar and /or tea's made/ coffee
Location to Rhine. Ideal for short stop over Severe step up to shower / toilet cubicle
The hotel is conveniently located near the shopping areas and Deutsches Eck, Since we were interested in visiting Koblenz' Christmas Market, it was an excellent choice.. Bathroom was very small.
The excellent breakfast and friendliness of the proprietor
Very central - easy walking distance to all attractions. Due to proximity to railway, windows need to be closed at night to block out noise - air conditioning totally inadequate.
The no-nonsense approach, and the excellent cuisine. The fact that the trains do run on the other side of the wall is daunting.
All public rooms were very pleasant, clean and comfortable and the food very good. It is also within 10 minutes walk of the railway station, only 2 minutes from the main shopping street and less than 5 minutes from the river. Although we saw no evidence of the stay 3 nights and get a discount, the hotel costs are still good value. The hotel could do more to help with the constant noise throughout every night from the railway line that runs right alongside it, carrying freight trains every few minutes 24/7. The room was very dark, with no air conditioning and the window had to be closed at night to lower the noise level..
cleanliness of the room and kindness of the reception's clerk room too hot with no conditioning and too noise from the street with open windows
A bit old fashion but good value of the price.
nice friendly lady owner, central position, good breakfast.
Location was convenient to the centre of the town and river and beside the Roman ruins. Rooms were small but attactive. The fact that it was beside the railway tracks with trains going by all night.
I like the fact that is was centrally located easy to reach boats and trains Even with the shutters down could still hear noise from trains
Friendly service. Good food at the restaurant. Near busy railway line.
Very close to historical landmarks, along pedestrian mall along the Rhine River. An elegant but casual restaurant specializing in regional cuisine was only a few steps away, and a large "platz" (square) with boutique shops was in 5 min walking distance. The hotel parking, behind the building, was very difficult to find, as the hotel faces a pedestrian mall our in-car navigation was no help. We had to park in underground garage a few blocks away - and the lift was out-of-order! More details need to be provided as to exactly how to find Haus Morjan parking.
We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellent. Nothing to complain about - all good.
Spacious room and great views from balcony. Excellent breakfast. First member of staff I spoke to not very welcoming or helpful on arrival.
Excellent location and very clean hotel. If you are planning on taking a boat trip on the Rhine the ship departure is right in front of the hotel. Also within walking distance from the 'German Eck'
Conveniance to Rhine river and nearby city Internet service was poor - paid Euro8 for 24 hours got about one hour. PC could access network but network could not access internet? Always dropping out signal was weak although our room was close to router. If charges apply service should work properly. In Asia this service is free and works well.
Our room was very nice and spacious with two balconies overlooking the Rhine river. We were right above the promenade. Also, the beds are adjustable and very comfortable. The train noise from across the river was annoying and it runs until 11:30 pm and then starts back up at around 4 a.m. Also, there were a few late night folks on the promenade and they made a lot of noise when they returned to the hotel at around 3 a.m.
Good view of the Rhine river and the comfort of the beds. Car parking area was to small
Their location and efficiency of the hotel operations
I liked the friendliness. Also a very good breakfast end a room as axpexted for this price. The restaurant was that oldfashioned that you weren't tempted.
River view No
Friendly. Three person room three single beds with part partition wall. Very nice. Could have been just a little more choice at breakfast
We stayed at the Hotel Pension Boos as it was the nearest, available and reasonably priced accommodation for the August Rhine in Flame festival. Although the procession doesn't go to Boppard, the accommodation provided us with a great base. Hotel Pension Boos was pretty much what I expected, although it's worth noting that it's more of a large B&B or guesthouse than a hotel. As others have said, the parking is also very cramped.
The friendly welcome we received when we turned up on the motro bike. Secure parking for the motorcycle, & a good variety of breakfast, would stop there again.
Very friendly owners Nothing
A friendly family run B&B close to the centre of Boppard. Very accommadating to all our wishes & excellent for young children. Close to a high speed railwayline which was occasionally noisy
easy access by car, secure parking.
Room was very clean and within walking distance to the Rhine River and the shopping area. In a quiete residential area. The mattresses were too hard for our liking. It was warm when we were there so we slept on top the quilt, on the mattress. which worked well for the 2nd night.
The owner was really welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable. There was nothing about the hotel that we did not like. Would stay there again.
Clean, friendly and relaxed and at a reasonable price. We found this hotel ideal for our needs, situated close to the station and not far from the town centre. We would use it again if we travel in this area.
the accomodation was excellent with a super terrace to have drinks on.Good security for our motor bike
Nice view from the room, very good restaurant quality and magnificent breakfast area. Long distance from the city center.
We were just passing through the area, so just stayed the one night. Clean and tidy but beds uncomfortable. Picturesque location with vineyards all around and the River Mosel just at the bottom of the hill. Not much English spoken, if any. Only took breakfast at the hotel, had our evening meal down near the river for half the price!
Upon arrival, well after the time rooms were meant to be ready, it wasn't, then there was a lack of communication between staff @ changeover which meant we sat waiting longer than necessary - this was the only negative!!
Pleasant, quiet location with an excellent on site restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Could be difficult to find without GPS
Good breakfast. We surprisingly had a nice apartment with a kitchenette. Not in the city, but you could easily reach Mainz by bus (although it's not so frequent).
sorrounding the room size is far far too tight
Modern comfortable hotel in quiet location
We had a lovely large airy corner room. The staff were helpful and patient with our poor German. Dinner was very good and it was the best breakfast buffet on our trip. Free internet access on their computer.
All staff that we met could speak good English and gave very good service Only that we found it noisy because of several large group events happening in hotel over the week
Central position There was no car park; parking was on local car parks which were some distance away and felt insecure
Hotel staff was really helpful and accomodative. Especially, the staff in the front office.
Hotel has been recently renovated and our room was like new. Location was close to railway station. Staff very helpful No individual bathroom products, no tea and coffee making facilities in room. Internet 3 Euro for 24 hrs
Closeness to train station. Friendly staff. Check out at 10:00 seems a little too early.
The hotel's location is very good, opposite to the train station but far enough not to hear the noise. The town center is a few minutes away. It's a nice starting place to visit Zeeland. The bed was very, very soft and had big lumps which made sleeping hard. The hotel is a bit old, in need of refurbishment.
Friendly personnel The heating was off and arriving there in a cold night, it was impossible to warm the room up till the morning. Luckily, the staff provided me with an extra blanket.
Small nice hotel, with excelent staff. Rooms were very clean, bathroom equiped on the level of 4 star hotels, such as Holiday Inn, Novotel etc. Shortly - recommended Considering value for money - nothing! This is not Intercontinental, of course, but you don't pay as for Inter, as well. So it was a good value for money (considering European prices and extremely expensive area of Europe - Western Germany)
comfort, facilities no
Close to the city centre and railway & bus stations. Loved the design and comfort of hotel.
Very nice hotel, very comfortable and relatively quiet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to attractions. Internet access was not free, but a very reasonable 3 euro per 24 hours with a strong wireless signal. We loved it and would definitely stay again. Also, Koblenz is a very nice place to visit. We stayed over a weekend so parking at a self-park lot a half block away wasn't really an issue, but not sure how this would be during the week. No air conditioning so you have to depend on window ventilation for warm days.
Very eclectic set up. Loved the receptionist. Great breakfast. Near grocery store. I didn't go to but saw that there was a pool hall under the hotel. Hmm... only thing I can think of is one think of furnature (a cabinet) didn't open up. Decoration piece?
easy access to town centre. parking for the car and bus service by the front door would have like to have coffee making facilties in the room
The breakfasts at the Sholtz were very nice. They offered scrambled eggs, ham, cheese and yogert, none of which were offered to us by our subsequent English hotel.
Warm welcome.Good size room for 3 people. Excellent breakfast. Room could do with modernising. Non smoking room but strong smell of cigarettes.
The front desk staff was very helpful and the breakfast was ok. There was a small pizza parlor 2 doors down and within a half block there was a nice grocery store. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel and the major shopping mall was a short 10 minute ride away. It was a long way from the old town and tourist areas. The elevator was tiny and the rooms needed renovation. It kind of had a run-down old hotel feel to it. There was no hairdryer in the room and was hot without air conditioning. Its' location next door to an old folks home and across the street from a convent was kind of depressing
The room was really an apartment and value for the money was awesome. Staff was very friendly. no complaints
The info center in Koblenz was the most helpful we encoutered. Our hotel was outstanding, the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Two large groups also there but our room was very quiet. Great breakfast. It was a bus/taxi ride from the train station but worth the extra effort.
The hotel staff
very friendly and hospitable staff. Good and quite location, clean and tidy rooms none
Nice breakfast, knowledgable staff
Excellent American breakfast - yoghurt to die for. Excellent evening meal.
Breakfast was so good. no extra bed was available.
The staffs were very kind and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was great! The room was spacious.Free WLAN. The extra bed was a little bit narrow.
Good food & very good family run hotel
this is a family run establishment. Wife checked us in; husband is the chef; son and brother bartend and wait tables. All were exceedingly friendly and accommodating. Room was very comfortable and large. Bathroom was also large and well appointed. Balcony was an added bonus. Restaurant was intimate. Food was very good - not particularly gourmet but more like "homey" German. English menu was not available but waiter (the son) very charmingly translated for us. I think this hotel is a bit out of the way. It didn't bother us because we were just staying one night on a trip from Rothenberg through the Rhine Valley to view castles, then on to Brussels the next day. But we didn't see anything within walking distance if one wanted to shop, dine or drink.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was great! The room was spacious, quiet surrounding
The breakfast was superb, especially the home made yoghurt.
A superb hotel in all respects. The room, which had a balcony looking towards the Rhine gorge, was spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel is located in a peaceful location within a small village, about 4 miles from the town of Boppard. The breakfasts were excellent and the dinners served in the restaurant were superb and very good value. The hosts were extremely friendly and attentive.
Lovely Welcome and a very pleasant atmosphere.
We had a very late arrival at night due to driving delays and the woman at the reception desk kindly stayed to admit us and showed us to our room. The room was immaculate, big, and the view was lovely. The breakfast was well done and very good. The area was quiet. Even with a car it was a bit inaccessible and hard to find without a navigation system.
Enjoyed Hotel a bit outside centre but reasonable access.Staff friendly and attentive. Could do with a few more cooked items at breakfast.
We stayed at the Hotel for 5 days and used it as our base to visit the Middle Rhein Area. It is a short taxi ride to the Deutsches Eck and the train station (7 to 8 Euros). We explored the local area and took day boat trips up the Mosel and the Rhein Rivers with one day out to visit relatives near Mainz. Be careful, the marble floors in the bath rooms are slippery when wet.
the personal dealings with the manager owner
Very comfortable rooms and kind staff. The restaurant was very expensive. Though the food was good, it was quite over-priced. The location was quite far from the city (25 minutes and downhill).
The room was clean and well furnished, with a comfortable bed, good lighting ,and a ceiling fan.The whole hotel was beautifully maintained,Breakfast was good value in the attractive restaurant. This was not open for evening meals on Sunday and Mondays,so I cannot comment on the dinner. Heavy traffic noise, requiring closed windows at night, but no air conditioning. My room was on the ground floor at the front. The walk into town was unpleasant, requiring a complex route under bridges..The short (5 Euro) taxi ride was preferable.
kitchen verry good no refrigeratoer at room
Good food, comfortable rooms, nice setting, helpful staff. Feather pillows - would have preferred anti-allergen bedding. A lift would have been useful for getting luggage to the 3rd floor.
The double bed consisted of two single beds/ matresses pushed together....rather than an actual double bed.
Really enjoyed our stay lovely hotel and restaurant
The variety of junk and art Nothing in the bathroom exept a bottle of soap on the wall not even a showercap or a washcloth. The hotel hasn't been renewed since about the 60's
The breakfast and the scenery n/a
This is the 2nd time we've stayed there. Lovely European property. Excellent restaurant. In a beautiful setting. Golf course wasn't particularly good, but O.K. Rained while we were there, so that probably influenced our experience.
friendly and comfortable, good location and a nice cellar bar. no tea and coffee making facilities and during the evening I waited twenty minutes at reception for a purchase of mineral water to take to the room.
The hotel is pleasantly situated by the river Rhine.
Good location. Parking on site. Room was comfortable and clean No lift.
Pleasant helpful, staff. Good food, excellent price. Parking facilities too limited.
The facilities for a disabled guest, the food and the location beside the river Lack of easy access to the Keller for a disabled person in a wheelchair..
Very close to the Rhine, excellent position for exploring the Rhine Valley, very good value
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast Was woken at 5.30 am by a group leaving to go on a coach tour.
Ease of car parking
Quiet location, friendly staff, good breakfast
Loved the riverside location and being able to eat outside by the river and the beautiful views.
comparing the price and the room, it is good. Breakfast is too simple, the elevator is too small.
really spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast!
Near railway station, very friendly, clean, good breakfast. Near main road so a little noisy.Shower gel empty on arrival, not filled up on request.Carpet on top floor stairs is past its best.
The staff and comfort of the room Nothing
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel is located very close to the train station, but is quite a walk (15-20 minutes) to old city.
Large, clean and quiet room No
Cozy and friendly hotel with its own garage. Thus you don't have to cruise narrow streets looking for a parking. Cost you 6.50 per night. Room is clean and big enough (for the money), everything looks like new. Buffet breakfast has very good selection. We spent only 1 night there but we really enjoed it.
Staff is kind and even i got arrived at night, he explained kindly what i asked. Also breakfast is really nice. its not very far from the train station and cruise station. expensive internet.
Courtesy of the staff, information in the room.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very well furnished; good ensuite shower. 23 channel TV included BBC Worldwide. Excellent hot & cold buffet breakfast nothing
nice family owned and the food they had was very good!!! the shower is a little small but thats how Europe is
Very friendly owner couple/ staff; nice location. Good beds and a clean room. Excellent value for money No
owner very frendly ,spoke some english, free drink on arival, very good bikers place to stay
nothing special there was no hairdryer an phone in the room
The owners made us feel at home. It was the most relaxing stop on our trip.
Very friendly staff, patio with bunny rabbit and parakeets and pond to relax on, have a glass of wine, etc. Could use a couple of comfortable chairs in room.
convenient location. rich breakfast. warm-hearted landlady. clean and big room. something can be found nice and different from other hotels.
It was in a lovely position, very near the Rhine, and was in a quiet position, near enough to the town. Nice owners. It would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.It would also be nice to have a small fridge in the room doesn't have to be a mini bar.
Everything was simple. Location was excellent, owner spoke English and was very friendly, bigger breakfast than other pensions I have stayed at. We even had an adjoining room to our kids'.
the free and easy atmasphere and the friendly staff
Quite and clean hotel.
comfortable, good value, nice hosts, clean slow internet, difficult to access
This is a charming hotel located in an established village at the foot of picturesque vineyards carved into the hills above the Mosel River. We received very attentive service from the owner, whose ability to speak English was a big plus for us. The hotel offers excellent food, a fine selection of regional wines, an elegant restaurant, a cozy dining patio, and an intimate breakfast room - and it is all affordably priced. We have already had occasion to recommend it and will do so again. On this occasion we were traveling through, however we can easily picture staying several nights to explore the area.
good hotel, good restaurant, very attractive prices in a small countryvillage not far from Koblenz
The room was very nicely furnished & very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a beautiful German town right on the banks of the Mosel.
