Pros: Thierry the owner is a fantastic host. Booked a table for us at an excellent local restaurant. The rooms, location and facilities first rate. We were only staying over one night after a long driving holiday but wish we had stayed longer so as to explore the champagne area more. On top of everything Thierry served an excellent breakfast, all organic and fresh produce. An excellent location to explore the area.
Cons: Nothing to dislike! Everyhing perfect!

Pros: We loved the fact that Thierry provided organic breakfast which he clearly took a lot of care and pride over. We also loved the view out of the room into the woods.
Cons: That we didn't have enough time to explore the area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Manager very pleasant. Bed very comfortable.
Cons: Tea facilities in the room would have been good. Coffee machine provided, but kettle/cups/milk etc would have been welcome. You can make tea in the lounge area, but first thing in the morning would have been useful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was in a pretty village very close to places we wanted to visit eg Reims. The hosts were very helpful and friendly especially Thiery .He gave us Maps and directions to numerous places of interest ,including champagne houses of the area. Pros: Beautiful gated modern property. Peaceful setting overlooking wooded area with birds and red squirrels. Great room and large modern bathroom with walk in shower. Communal room with tea and coffee free at any time, Also tv although no English channels. The host made us fresh eggs for breakfast. Coffee machine in the room. Thierry the lovely host spoke very good English and helped with places to visit. Hermonville is a lovely village, clean and well kept. We had many humourous chats with Thierry at breakfast. No aircon but he gave us a fan and portable air conditioning unit on a hot night. Thierry also remembered that we do not like tha bed all tucked in.
Cons: We would have liked TV in the room and some English channels if only the news.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing place and the staff. Special thanks to the lady who serves the breakfast, she made us feel home, she cooked delicious cake for kids apart from all that tasty food served for breakfast, she helped us with the clothes. The property is located on the tourist champagne route, very quiet and beautiful area. The design of the house is very artistic - there are so many nice details your eye catches and the beds are super comfortable, bed linen is of a very high quality. I was really happy to stay there!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lots of character and very tastefully decorated. Heidi, the managers super charming and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the champagne region as directly in between Reims and Epernay. Staying in a small village like Rilly gives you a true understanding of how much locals are involved and passionate about the craft.
Cons: We stayed in Annexe 32 which is marketed as a self contained flat but is actually the first floor of the owners section of the house so you have to walk through the living area to access the rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, just between Reims and Epernay, perfect for our Champagne Tour. The breakfast the first 2 days was great! Lot's of fresh, delicious products. Champagne at breakfast was a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and bright, the airco worked wonders, as it was 40 degrees outside.... . Nice, delicious smelling products to use in the shower. Extra special touch are the little biscuits in the room, great welcome gift. Champagne bucket in each room The fully stocked honesty (Champagne) bar is perfect for a late night drink at the B&B.
Cons: The very nice sitting room could use some airco during the summer time, it's very nicely decorated, it was too hot to enjoy it. The breakfast room did have airco but it was (forgotten) not turned on. So it was not chilled the first day and it was too hot (during the day it was 40 degrees so already very hot in the morning). We turned on the airco ourselves that evening to avoid the same issue the next day. On the third day, the breakfast was served by a different person, less attention was paid to fresh products, as a group had breakfast before us nearly everything was finished and not refilled until asked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place was spot on. From the welcome glass of champagne to the easy check out. The garden was a little oasis, and very welcome after a day walking round the wine villages. Heidi was friendly and extremely helpful. We would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful, restful break.

Pros: Friendliness of Tony, Thierry, and their pups in this lovely setting. We had a delicious 4 course dinner--complete with aperitifs, appetizers, and wine--as well as a very nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Our room was nicely decorated, comfortable, and had a sliding door that opened onto the patio. Because we arrived on a pleasant afternoon, we enjoyed a glass of local champagne while relaxing outside. Dinner in the company of Thierry, Tony, and other guests whom we greatly enjoyed was a very special part of our stay at La Grange.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Maison d'Hôtes Rémoise, you'll be centrally located in Reims, just a 4-minute walk from Tau Palace and 6 minutes by foot from Notre-Dame de Reims.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location very close to Notre Dame but on a quiet street with plenty of on street parking close by (€4 per day) and the property is tucked away in a courtyard. Only 3 rooms of which we had 2 and very individually and tastefully decorated. Very clean and well appointed. A fridge stocked with cider and water was a nice touch in the hot weather. Breakfast (continental) was excellent and plentiful. The owner, Myriam, is very friendly and helpful. She wasn’t around when we arrived but she text messaged to check arrival plans and provided entry codes and access to key boxes to allow us to get in. Would definitely recommend .
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Aircon and fridge pretty noisy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, well located near centre, nicely appointed, very welcoming hosts, very helpful
Cons: The room is on the ground floor , and the windows open into a courtyard. Privacy much better than if the windows opened onto the street, but if privacy is important to you, you’ll be keeping the blinds down

Pros: Fantastic location only a few minutes walk from the cathedral. Free on street parking outside the apartment door. Lovely small patio area. Friendly and informative host - great communication before we arrived making sure we knew how to access the key. Breakfast great and Myriam was on hand to answer any questions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This accommodation is very centrally located in beautiful Reims. Myriam was very helpful by providing us with self check in instructions which worked perfectly. Our accommodation was extremely clean with a very comfortable king size bed, plenty of towels and a decent shower. Thankfully we also had an air conditioning unit in the room which made sleeping very comfortable since the weather was quite warm when we were there. Our daughter had a bedroom in the loft which meant that we each had some privacy which was nice. Breakfast was an assortment of pastries, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee and juice which was served in a small room on the main floor. There was also an outdoor patio which we didn't use since we were there for a short time. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone staying in Reims.
Cons: The only recommendation we have is to provide better pillows in the upstairs loft otherwise everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and thoughtful amenities! Close walk to restaurants, shopping and sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even sent me a text welcoming me a day prior to checking in!

The reception staff is very welcoming. When touring the Champagne area it is a perfect place to spend a few days as it is well located for your visit in the region.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful inside and outside. Beautiful room with exceptional bathroom. Lovely terrace and first class dinner in restaurant.
Cons: I recommend booking dinner as there really are no other restaurants nearby. We didn’t realise until we got there and the evening receptionist flatly declined to book us a table for dinner. However we later asked the restaurant staff direct, who let us have s table without any fuss.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: An enjoyable and sophisticated residence "chateau' near Reims. Lots of comfort with AC and beautiful spa. great staff, attentive ready to help with lots of information about the region. A delicious restaurant with a young and creative chef. Fantastic breakfast.
Cons: no swimming pool yet, the gardens and landscape could be improved.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Property and staff very friendly. Safe parking. Lovely terrace at back that overlooks the fountain pond.
Cons: Limited choice on menu. Would have liked some less rich choices. Decking on terrace a bit tired. Lack of plug sockets. Instant coffee in bedroom rather than Nespresso. Could do with a swimming pool as the location is quite remote so would have been nice to relax by a pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel at ease even though we had traveled from Annecy that morning, so felt a little underdressed by the time we arrived. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The Staff were very attentive. Great choice of Champagnes and cocktails. The food was outstanding, we had the sensation tasting menu and was amazing! We were also introduced to the Chef! So were able to thank him in person. It was a fabulous experience and would love to do it again someday.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was not that special. Quite expensive for the amount and quality of the food.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Not his fault but only 1 waiter serving on the terrace led to longer waits then I would expect and the bar closed at 10, a little early.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was so quiet and lovely. The views are impressive perched on the hillside.
Cons: We were very well take care of. Nothing needs to be changed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Splendid view amidst vineyards.
Cons: Very uncomfortable mattress + bedding smelled like rubber. People in the adjacent room could be clearly heard. Very poor internet connection. The owners were not awake before 8:30 which belated our preferred check out.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: On half of the heights above Hermonville you'll find this former farm house from which you'll have a great view into the valley and over the vineyards. The house is maintained in a very tasteful style, the rooms are very large, pretty luxury and absolutely clean. The breakfast was brilliant with a full selection of cakes, breads, jams, fruits etc. We very much enjoyed the conversation with our hosts. In the evening it was great to sit outside on the terrace, having a "French" dinner with cheese, bread and wine (and Pizza for the kids) and enjoying the beautiful view and silence. From this accommodation it is not far to Reims or in the large area of Champagne around Epernar or even to make a short trip into the Picardie. Thank you very much for your hospitality
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pascal was extremely welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The property was very clean and in a beautiful area.
Cons: We are used to a super king size bed so found the double a little small.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: adequate breakfast
Cons: wi fi only ok near hub
5.0 Okay
Pros: Excellent accommodation - large room with ensuite. Very good breakfast. Fantastic views and good location. The host was extremely helpful and made us very welcome.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This was a great little find and a guest house with an amazing view. Nice size bedroom and clean. Hosts were very helpful We sat outside on the small terrace when we arrived and listened to the birds singing. The town is not far to walk, but we drove in as we needed dinner and it was a bit hilly to walk back. Make sure you book at the local pizza place - so cheap and great food but gets busy!! Does take away if needed You will definitely need to take any snacks / drink / water with you to the guest house. There is a shop in the village which has a good selection of everything. If this had been shut we would have struggled! Breakfast was very fresh and everything you needed! Croissants were amazing!!
Cons: Nothing really - mattress was slightly dipped in the middle which meant we rolled into each other but still comfortable. Only point to note is that the property only accepts cash - we did not know this and luckily had enough cash on us - although there is a bank in the village. Not sure if booking.com can advise this beforehand to help all parties?

Pros: Great room and garden. Bar a bonus . Breakfast very good . Manager was very pleasant
Cons: Nothing springs to mind
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A lovely old building with lots of original features. Renovated without losing original windows and doors. Very homely. It can't be easy to keep clean but it was very clean. The shower etc was all up to date. Plenty of interesting little spaces to enjoy in the garden.
Cons: Nothing really. We were a bit discomcerted by the suction system in the toilet at first. It was fine once we knew how it worked. Maybe a few too many ornaments and 'bits' for us but that's personal taste not a criticism.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Little heaven just a 15 min drive away from Reims. Very peaceful, wonderful campagne.
Cons: All rooms were fully booked but they made it possible for us to stay anyway. So we liked really everything about it!

Pros: We arrived here by motorbike on an extremely hot day (43C) and my wife was suffering from heatstroke. The hosts could not have been more helpful and attentive. This is a beautiful property and the photos on here don’t do it enough justice. Gorgeous big rooms; beautiful courtyard, full of interesting and quirky curios; lovely breakfast; friendly people. Would recommend to anyone.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.
7.5 Good
Cons: No one around at 7.30 am, left without breakfast and without paying. We rang later and then sent them a cheque. They should have told us the time of checking ot and breakfast. Check out was on the confirmation but we booked months ago.
7.5 Good
Pros: We had a large room on the ground floor with a small court yard out the back which was useful for our dog. Very large and comfortable bed. The B&B is in a very quiet town which apparently has a good restaurant although this was closed in August as we discovered everyone goes on holiday then! The hotel made a nice meal for us instead so we didn't have to drive to Reims. Good champagne to buy nearby! Good breakfast to fill up on before driving to Calais.
Cons: In comparison to other hotels we stayed in on our trip, the charge for bringing a dog was very high (€15) and not communicated at the time of booking/ before payment.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Special atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The wonderful eccentricity to the property. The garden/eating area was like being in Aladdin’s grotto, a beautiful place to relax in after a long drive. The town is lovely, can’t wait to go back. A wonderful host who also runs a gorgeous boutique on the property, full of great bits & bobs, I could have spent a fortune!
Cons: Nothing!!

Pros: Great location for visiting champagne area.
Cons: There were a limited number of places to eat within walking distance.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location in Rilly was good; Room was nice
Cons: Room was stuffy with no fan; bathroom, though modern and nice, was very inconvenient ... no shelves or hooks to put our toiletries, etc. Limited restaurants/amenities in town except for champagneries. We don't particularly like 'famiily style' breakfasts.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Space, location and a wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Lack of TV in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good. Very helpful and supportive hosts. Thank you.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cute little town, close to Reims and the touristic route of Champagne. Safe parking in the yard behind the locked gates. The owner is welcoming and speaks English. Breakfast consists of yogurt, jams, cheese and various baked goods. Someone in the family was a baker which you could definitely tell!
Cons: Was woken up by a tractor or something like it driving loudly in the yard for a while. Understandable, I bet, the owners have work to do, but still, it was 6.30.. No restaurants open on a Thursday night, only a champagne bar. Got recommendations from the owner and went for a tasty dinner in another town about 15 min away by car. Strict timeframes for arrival and breakfast, but again, that's usual with a B&B

Pros: Very clean and modern.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked the hotel as a stopover from driving on the way to the Jura region to visit family. We booked a family room for 2 adults and our four young children. They room layout was perfect, separate/connected room for the kids. The room itself was extremely clean, comfortable and modern. Pristine would be the most appropriate word to describe it! Breakfast was an extra 8€ but worth it! Buffet style with something for everyone. Staff very helpful, polite and friendly. Will definitely stay again on our next trip over!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect if you're travelling across France. It's a stone's throw from the A4 motorway, so it's ideal for an overnight stop. There is a tram stop 100 yards away which takes you right into the heart of Reims in 20 minutes. This is ideal if you want to pop into the city to see the cathedral and enjoy a meal at one of the hundreds of great restaurants. It would also be perfect if you were staying for a couple or more nights - you could take the tram in for the day. AND the rooms are air conditioned! This was wonderful since we travelled on the weekend when temperature records were broken across Europe. Note that, if you look at Google maps and some of the photos, the area seems a bit derelict. It's not - it's a new township and is already looking good.
Cons: To be honest, it was great. One could nitpick about the breakfast being less extensive than some hotels, but if you want that, find a more expensive hotel. This is a great place for a short break.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! Good food available for dinner or a snack. Great breakfast. Room very modern, comfortable and perfectly clean.
Cons: The position is a bit outside the city center. For a business trip it is ok. Maybe less for a tourist.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: welcome, rooms, breakfast, everything pico bello !!
Cons: nothing !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: See above
Cons: Great value for money! Rooms were large and very well equipped. Had a luxury feel and the bed was really comfortable. Will definitely use Akena hotels when travelling through France in the future.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: SatNav could not locate the property so called in advance and were given clear directions. This property is out in "the sticks" but fortunately it has an extensive snack menu as there are no restaurants in the area. Large free car park a bonus.
Cons: Only problem was the location as we wished to visit Reims and only transport was the tram. The nearest stop was at 300 mtrs, cost E1.60 each way. Quite a slow journey and if you don't take the return tram at 21.40 there is only one other at 23.30.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Perfect for an overnight stay on our way from the UK to the Mediterranean
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is new, with airconditioning, well maintained clean rooms of good size and excellent parking. Whilst it is a little out of the city it is only a few minutes walk from the very good tram line which gets to the city in about 10 minutes. It supplies a generous continental breakfast, self service. It has no full restaurant but supplies a very good range of snack plates to eat in the breakfast area or in rooms. We had the cheese and crude ham plate which was excellent.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice but the hotel misunderstood our request for FEATHER pillows and instead supplied extra pillows!
Cons: The bathroom in our room wasn't cleaned very well on our first day and we had to call Reception to get replacement tissues and toilet paper. 19 euros for the breakfast was rather extortionate so we went to cafe next door!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Liked the blackout shade on the window
Cons: Beds were not very comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is Great and near by a parking garage.
Cons: If you open the Windows is noisy because it is a area with a lot restaurant and bars but cosy.

Cons: Breakfast not included in price.

Pros: Concierge was really friendly and welcoming, room was perfect for a quick stop over (we had an accessible room on the ground floor - not something I'd normally like but nice and quiet and perfect in the circumstances)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay. Welcoming hosts that made us feel like we happened to just pop in on old friends. Hearty breakfast with fresh breads, egg and fruit!!
Cons: Nothing!!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Claire was really helpful. She gave us loads of tip about Reims and was very kind. Breakfast was nice with fresh bread and good coffee. Graham did a good job keeping the boat as cool as possible when it was so hot. Room was small but really comfortable beds!
Cons: Way to expensive for what you get,it is an allright acccomondation but it is not worth the money. When we were visiting the boat it was really hot and with no air condition and loads of champagne to keep cool it was not optimal. I also experienced one of the owners as rude and shared information to me and my boyfriend that I found to be too private and not something that you should share with guests such as ' we were hoping that you would not show up' and 'you look older than your age', not too bad but we took offense to it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice experience, excellent breakfast, useful advice on restaurants around, bike rental so that we could cycle to Reims along the canal
Cons: Bathroom door broken, shower temperature difficult to regulate. One of the owner was too invasive, inappropriately curious leaving us very little space to relax and enjoy our holiday on the boat itself without being bombarded with way too private questions, even at breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This accommodation made a lovely change from the usual options. Graham and Claire made our brief stay memorable and interesting. Our cabin and bathroom were surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and very tasty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very different experience from staying in a hotel as we have done on many occasions on route from the Alps . Claire and Graham are exceptional hosts, the barge is comfortable and the breakfast exceptional. Would definitely stay again possibly for longer next time.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A surprisingly comfortable, light and airy cabin and nice to have breakfast served on a table laid with fresh clean linen.
Cons: The only initial disappointment was the advertised nearby restaurant had limited opening hours and was closed during our stay. However this was compensated by an excellent take-away pizza eaten on deck with our very hospitable hosts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claire and Graham are wonderful hosts, very relaxed and helpful. Nothing is too much bother. Serenity is a beautiful barge and the room (ours was Seine, right in the bow) is lovely, roomy and bright.
Cons: Nothing!
7.5 Good
Cons: Think the owners cabin should represent the cleanliness and tidy ness of the rented accoms. Or door closed at all times so it cant be seen!. On Sunday night a paid supper might be offered of say soup/charcuterie /cheese seeing all local restaurants were closed. But lovely to be on a boat. Thank you.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything: location, quality of service, breakfast high standard of room
Cons: Car park entrance very tight for a large car.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of this boutique guesthouse is fantastic - the staff cannot do enough for you. The house champagne is lovely. Breakfast was served continental style but you could also order boiled eggs. Would stay here again and recommend it to others - you just have to be aware that there is no restaurant on site but many restaurants within an easy walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The traditional style. The deco and the facilities
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely
Cons: Excellent apart from parking. Wouldn't recommend trying to park there in a large 4x4
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well located and friendly staff. Good room with everything you need
Cons: The room was very close to the breakfast area which meant a bit of noise. We had breakfast one morning. The bread was a bit stale and fruit withered. It was a lot of money for a ho hum breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fabulous, served in a lovely garden-themed dining room. One could take breakfast on the terrasse also, but we opted for the air-conditioned dining room! The continental breakfast was so large that nothing else was needed, and it held us until lunch.
Cons: I can't think of anything that wasn't perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for walking around the town.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Had air conditioning and swimming pool
Cons: No kettle in room , no restaurant
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were VERY polite, bedroom was lovely, bathroom large and high spec with bath and separate shower. Pool was a little cold but of an adequate size.
Cons: I struggle to rate this hotel. It is advertised as a 4* but it doesn’t have a restaurant, and whilst you can order drinks on the terrace, I only knew this by seeing someone else do it. There is no bar to speak of. The outside is not that inspiring and there is no real reception area to relax in. The Sauna/Steam room was not switched on. They volunteered to switch on but that would have taken time. The Wi-fi only works in the breakfast room and even then not very well. The breakfast was frozen fruit (inedible) and a selection of breads/jam. Hardly worth €17!! And they charged $4 for a bottle of water from t mini-fridge!!!! With only 20 rooms it was a more a nice guest house with pool. 2* / 3* at best. For the same money you have genuine 4* like the best western or holiday inn.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast - continental style but brought to your table, not a buffet style. Good pool along with a sauna in the basement and there was still natural light. Very comfortable bed with a spacious room and clean luxurious bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: Difficult to think of anything, it was an exceptional stay.

Pros: Fine hotel, Novotel standard. Very nice staff at front desk. Close to the train station (within walking distance). Don’t know, why do they wright that they don’t have parking. They do have a parking lot right next to the hotel. But it is not big and easily get full. So book it in advance. Children playing area at the first floor.
Cons: There are several construction lots around hotel, so it is too quite at night. No people around. No shops or supermarkets around. But they have vending machines on the first floor.

Pros: Large renovated room. Really nice efficient staff. Great value stopover.
7.5 Good
Cons: Breakfast was to crowded and Hotel Cold Not manage Anemone!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really big family rooms and comfortable beds. Our room also had a microwave oven. And as it was just a stop on our road trip and we arrived late in the evening, we managed to find a local supermarket nearby and had microwave meals in our room. Which suited us just fine.
Cons: You had to pay extra for parking.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and comfortable
Cons: Although very close to city center, need to go through railway station which closes at 10pm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing... They were very helpful and spoke embarrassingly good English... Great room for a family... I could watch TV from the bath... The buffet breakfast was great...
Cons: Nothing...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean room with good facilities. Family room was large with both children having a separate bed as a bonus. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, kids had lots! Staff welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Awkward to locate, limited on site parking, so tiny walk from 24 hour car park, which could be a pain with loads of luggage. The main down side was at night time it was a bit daunting having to walk through the train station underpass to get to and from the main centre.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good central location, reasonably comfortable hotel and staff helpful. Room quite comfortable and functional. Slightly unusual layout but it works well enough
Cons: Onsite parking is restricted, so had to park in SNCF car park next door. There is a reduced rate for parking but it’s different with cases.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities, food and staff were fabulous. We definitely would go back for another visit. In fact we’re hoping to return for a longer stay.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable a quiet rooms. Staff very helpful too.
