It was a quick stay but it was great. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
The only thing I wish this hotel had was free wifi.
Everything was fine, the room is okay people are nice!
Every now and then you have problemas with the keycard to get into your room
Hotel rooms nothing special. Staff is indifferent. Even with the hotel at low occupancy my room still happened to be facing the driveway and right next to the service elevator. Don't spend more than $80 or more than one night.
I only had an issue with a few things, expensive menu and I seen that it they were charging for wifi. Now I am not sure if it was just on my device, because the person that was with me had no problem. Other than that it was great hotel. Oh and there was no fridge or microwave in the room, which I thought was kind of strange.
Hotel was very clean. Room had ample space. Excellent location- close to public transportation.
Front desk staff was extremely unfriendly. The front desk staff were not eager to help those checking in. Not the type of experience one would like to have after a long flight.
The room we stayed in was impeccable. Clean with a great view. The location was good depending on what your overall plans were. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming which in D.C. Is very much the exception and not the rule.
Valet services are expensive and required. Nowhere on the website does it state this little fact it simply says that parking is available. While I thought I was getting a great deal, in the end after paying $39 for parking (there are no other garages in the area) I could have gotten a comparable hotel closer to the Verizon Center which was my ultimate destination.
Noise from other rooms
Walking distance to convention center.
The room was poorly maintained; rusty clg access panel in bathroom, peeling wall paper, and food stained furniture.
Location was great, service was great.
Noise level, could hear neighbor's TV in the middle of the night.
Nothing about this hotel was positive
I was given the wrong room , staff was rude and refused to accomdate me
Overall had a wonderful time at the beacon hotel. I needed a hotel close to downtown DC for a relatively good price. Staff was very friendly and everything was very comfortable
Be wary of parking at the hotel because it's very expensive. If you can park on the street or a parking garage. Also, try to get a room on the top floor: the only room left when my boyfriend and I stayed was on the first floor and its was very noisy
Location is great, near Mass Ave and good food locations, easily a 20 minute walk to the White House and Washington Monument.
$12 bucks a day for wifi? Odd thing to have to pay for. Not expecting a lot from a hotel gym but 3 treadmills and a broken weights machine in a basement shouldn't be advertised.
AC Control Comfortable bed and pillows Location was great for going around DC Great maids very friendly
Room was a bit small for the price One of the blankets were really dirty Decent check in staff
Perfect located, affordable, comfortable
The location was great. That's about all that was good.
The staff was unbelievably rude. Not helpful at all. And felt very unwelcomed. We also had to ask twice to get our air conditioning fixed and they made us feel like a burden.
Restaurant had good food, nice location in the hotel.
Service in most of DC was average or below average, Beacon was good but DC as a whole could use a little customer.
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly always greeting us as we came in and out and offering to help where they could. The room was very clean and nicely decorated with a great street view. We were in walking distance of plenty of great restaurants and right across from the National Geographic museum. Very happy with the stay and couldn't beat the price for the amenities and location. Will definitely stay here again.
My only complaint was my traveling companion went down to the restaurant to try and buy coffee and was told she couldn't have any because they were busy setting up for brunch. I have worked in hotel restaurants before and you are still required to help guests of the hotel, especially ones willing to pay. Was a huge turnoff and we didn't eat there for that reason. Was rude and unprofessional, but that doesn't reflect on the rest of our wonderful stay and dealings with the main hotel staff.
Very impressed with this hotel! Do not hesitate to stay. Very clean. No evidence of any bed bugs as reported know in some reviews. I will definitely return to the Beacon
No issues really. Didn't take advantage of what facility had to offer
Pretty gross for how much they charged. Definitely looks better on the outside and in pictures. I opened my "Vanity Kit" to find that the Qtips had already been used. The staff was great though. Moved to the Westin on my second day, which was cheaper and cleaner. Would not recommend.
Never got there. Airline cancellations of flights (peoples express)
Cancelled reservation 3 days in advance because of airline and received only a partial refund. Will never use a company to book any reservation again!
Extra charges for everything. It's a "non smoking" hotel, but it definitely smelled heavily of smoke in our room. Make sure to have more money with you for a comfortable stay, because what you are paying for through kayak is not what you will get.
Size of my room.
The roof top music could be heard within our room. It was disturbing as we went to sleep.
Manager was very rude and acted like he didn't want my business at all. Very unprofessional. I will never stay there again.
I had a situation in which I was not going to make my connecting flight to the airport. I called priceline (which is who booked it) and they said that I had to call the hotel. I called the hotel and they said to call priceline. I called them yet once again and after a 20 min hold, they said that they would not refund my charge. I will never stay at this hotel, nor use priceline again and will mention this to all my friends, they are not willing to work with you in the event something happens that is out of your control (not making a connecting flight, for example).
This hotel is in a good location just up the street from the White House. It's nothing terribly fancy, but it works for the price.
The TV was very small.
