Inconvenient not have microwave and fridge in room. Had to pay extra for this.
Great place to stay while in town for my Founders Day weekend ΦΒΣ. Will definitely stay here again. Price was very reasonable
I lived how clean it was
Clean, polite personnel.
Staff friendly and helpful
Hotel extremely dated, no mattress protector on bed - just a single thin sheet on the mattress, the linens in general were worn/dirty, carpet worn and dirty
When I come to visit DC for business or pleasure I stay at this Days Inn. This has worked for me for over the past 5 years. The location works for me when I come to visit DC. The staff have always been very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable.
This Days Inn could use all new carpet through out the entire facility. This is a much needed upgrade. I'm not too excited about the added fee for parking. Most Days Inn's provide a complimentary breakfast bar, this does not. The one chair in my room was OK, but it tilt to one side, (one leg was in need of repair).
Close to Metro, comfortable, good location, good value. Nice neighborhood (I had to walk 15 minutes to Tenleytown several times during my 3 night stay, and I found it a very pleasant walk.) Friendly staff. Given the reasonable rate for DC (which is an expensive city), the overall experience was very positive.
There were some minor "deferred maintenance" issues (a non-functioning power outlet, a bathroom door handle, etc.).
I've stayed here a few times for work and it is always reliable and enjoyable. Rooms provide a lot more space than some of the other similarly priced hotels in the area. Location is close to the red line, which is very convenient. Staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are clean and generally in good condition, wifi included worked well. Recommend a room facing connecticut ave if possible for a better view than the parking lot in back :)
One thing that bothered me is a few of the rooms have electrical outlets that don't work or are intermittent - they need to check and repair those! Otherwise everything was in good working order and I would stay there again next time.
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The room smelled a bit mildewy and the carpet was sticky. The coffee cups in the lobby were tiny. Overall not bad for the comparative price but I hope I can afford a better place next time.
Great location on Connecticut Avenue...2 blocks from Metro, Burger King next door, close to restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, room was clean and received 2 double beds, as booked.
Parking was $23.00 extra! You were allowed to leave your car in their lot until 7p.m. on the day you checked out, so that helped with the sting of the cost of parking.
Needs remodeled, and not enough parking.
Parking is to expensive w staying w them Stuff is nice
Parking to expensive and I supposed to get double bed, but they gave me a single one. I didn't mind cause I was by my self, but that was not right
Good location, quiet
The hallways and even the room had a dank, moldy smell. We raised the window and bought an air freshener @ Walgreens and it helped. There was no soap in the room so we had to get it from the front desk. The shower was difficult to get to work and once it did had a very weak spray. The decent location is not enough to make us stay here again.
The customer service was great very friendly and helpful.
The room 623 smelt like very bad water damage I brought it to the concierge but nothing was done. Good thing I was only there for a day and had plenty of candles. I will be writing corporate about the smell and my overall experience there.
The Days Inn in DC/ Connecticut Ave is a no-frills, reasonably priced hotel, very close to the metro and small restaurants. A CVS and liquor store are within walking distance, and the hotel is clean and basic, the staff mostly very helpful about directions and other needs... A practical and affordable choice.
No pool. No refrigerator in the rooms.
Good A/C in the room on an 85 deg weekend. Easy in and out with elevators and stairs. Great eating options nearby.
Booked via Kayak / Get-a-room for a King bed and had receipt in hand. Was given key for a double room and while they were very friendly about "fixing" this and getting us our King, we had to wait 15 mins for that to happen.
Room was adequate, no heating or cooling controls I could see, smelled a bit musty, but turned on fan in bathroom which controlled it. Rooms were adequately updated/functional and clean. Hallway area was very dirty. Liked location a few minutes walk from metro. Generallly polite and pleasant staff
Spooked me when I reserved and prepaid through Kayak and upon arrival at 11pm, they indicated that my room was only reserved through 3pm! and that they had sold my room/were sold out. I persisted and indicated I'd called in early for a late check-in and they ulrimately accommodated me, but Kayak buyers beware! I reviewed my documents and didn't see anything such as a 3pm only guaranteed hold for a prepaid room! If I hadn't persisted that bluff would have worked and I'd have been left on the street to a sold out room.
Location, ok for clean and quiet
great value and friendly staff
Polite staff, great neighborhood. Two blocks from the Metro (Van Ness). Good value for the money!
No fridge, microwave, and most oddly, no alarm clock (or clock of any kind) in the room.
I liked that the front desk staff helped us get to the subway and helped us arrange our Big Bus/ on and off bus trip. They were very helpful and "concierge-like."
The television only got a few channels and I could not connect with Wi-Fi.
Room were a lot smaller than how they appear in the photo. A 'used wash towel was hanging on top of the shower rod over the curtain. The iron leaked water all over my cream colored pants as i tried to iron them. The bottom of the vending machine dispenser had trash in it. I no longer wanted to drink my soda after viewing that. Parking is an additional $23.60 per day and it is not disclosed online when you initially make the purchase if you use a 3rd party site like Orbitz, Kayak or Hotels.com. The property could use a renovation because it is somewhat outdated and has a lack of electrical outlets needed for charging eletrical devices. On a good note, it was quiet and I was able to sleep without any interruptions. The staff was kind too.
Property is somewhat outdated. Dirty vending machine dispensers wrre not impressive.
Nice room, clean, comfy, good size in a great location
But i did not like my room view, my view was blocked by hotel wall. It was depressing. And i did not like that there was no fridge and no microwave. However there were many nearby restaurants.
Comfortable bed, nice sized room, good lighting for a hotel.
I didn't like that there wasn't a fridge in the room. Not good if you go out and have leftovers or want to keep snacks from going bad!
Hotel was old and depressing. I guess I got what I paid for.
Location to the area where I had appointments was ideal. Bed was comfortable.
Room smelled musty like the air conditioning unit was blowing dust in the air and it didn't cool the room very well. Floor in bathroom sloped, dropping almost 1" from the bathtub to the opposing wall 5 feet away. Charged almost $25.00 for parking and a $50.00 key deposit that was not indicated on their web site. Pillows were small but that seems to be the trend and most hotels now.
They have a pool. It was semi dirty looking
Air Condition was broke, the room smelled horrible like cigarette smoke and mold. The television was broken. I asked to be moved to another room. The desk man told me he wasn't sure if that would be possible but I charmed him into getting another room. The 2nd room was a big improvement. The location is in the projects. After taxes We paid $98.00 on a week night. Wasn't worth that much.
I paid online so when I got there I was told that I just have to do a 50 dollar deposit which is standard procedure with hotels but I left and a day later they charged my card numerous of times the staff is very bad they have a billing service who don't help you at all it was a disaster!
