the rooms were modern and had a lot of space. The roof top pool and bar were gorgeous. The service was spectacular.
nothing I didn't' like about it.
The wine tasting in the afternoon was a nice touch. The room was for my parents, and they were given a fantastic upgrade at check in to a very spacious room with a beautiful view of the circle.
The rooftop pool lounge was not open for beverages apparently. Also, we went to the first floor lounge at 5pm and when we told them we were not having a full meal, just drinks and apps, we were given specific/limited seating. Which makes sense, but there is no separation between "bar" and main dining room. So, why bother I guess is my point, especially since we were the only ones in there. Just let us sit wherever we want!
Great location of you want to explore DC. Friendly staff and great service.
A little run down. In particular, the rooftop pool has seen better days.
The hotel stood out, in terms of style and character, especially on the inside. We weren't there long, so we didn't experience much of the staff's hospitality, but it did seem like they had nice amenities. Staying here made walking to the sights a breeze!
Nothing in particular stood out - in terms of service or staff. The guys running room service up and down the elevators were more outgoing and friendly than the front desk staff (not a complaint, but just noticeable).
Things that I looked for were how nice the staffs were, cleanliness of room, and location of the hotel. Everything was outstanding.
Did not have time to stay for more nights.
Overall, the hotel was ok. The location was good and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
The room was spacious but oddly appointed. Really bad bathroom lighting--impossible to put on makeup. No hooks or bars for hand towels near the sink and limited counter space. The round fiberglass shower was an odd attempt to be modern but it didn't function well. No chest of drawers for clothes--room had an odd bench instead. Room service is very limited by the restaurant's Japanese restaurant, and frankly I found found the food to be below average and accordingly, very over-priced for what what you got.
The hotel was very central to points of interest (for me) ie historical sites, shopping, gay neighborhood. All within walking distance. Fantastically clean.
Sufficient for a stay over night.
i found a real good offer - 92 dollars a day for a double room
Hip Decor, clean, comfortable.
My wife and I prefer boutique hotels, with heavy emphasis on set and setting. this place creates an environment that transports you from the norm of your life to the fantastical. Highly recommend this hotel! Was very romantic, upgrade to a king studio as we did, or better. Such a magical place!
The only comment I would have is to park you car directly across the street from the hotel where the parking is around $20 a day instead of teh hotels $38 dollar valet service.
Very modern and clean facilities. The staff. Location
Very nice hotel, good location, staff very helpful.
great room, location, cleanliness
no hot shower
Decor and bed.
As is usually the case in the USA, most staff less than fully competent.
Great hotel very poor housekeeping
Our room was not cleaned after requesting twice Room was not cleaned till after 8:00pm. At time of check out Valet pulled up our car and it was badly damaged. At time of payment I was charged for parking $35.00 each day After I complained about damage to car I wasn't charged for parking. I paid my bill over $500.00 I asked to see manager and complained about room not being cleaned until after 8
