Started out okay
The neighborhood is centrally located and the street has everything you might need (coffee shops, restaurants, drug store). Check in was fast and straightforward. Room was nice, clean (except bathroom glasses), big t.v, good shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, very small shower/tub combo.
1. A fire alarm battery must have needed changing somewhere on the hall but instead of beeping it made a high pitched screech for 15 minutes at 11:00 pm and 6:30 am. 2. Hot water was out at 12:30 am, had to take a cold shower 3. Despite "Do Not Disturb Sign" on the door, the maid knocked and came in to check if I'd checked out yet. Another worker (presumably wanting to check hot water status) did the same.
Location to most of Washington sites and meeting venues.
Bed wasn't very comfortable
Excellent hotel in a great location
Rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff is so nice! Located just nearby a metro station.
best bang for your buck in DC
i LOVED the Jacuzzi tub i upgraded to.
valet is expensive. BUT its expensive everywhere in dc
Bar service was incredibly slow.
Caveat this with the fact that I travel monthly for business and see a lot of hotels: 1. Mattress was sub-standard. Sat down on it and was like "uh oh." 2. Walls were thin. I could hear neighbors snoring and the exact words in their phone conversations...until midnight. 3. Room was small. The only place with enough room to do a push-up or sit-up is by the door.
Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Nice modern decor.
No in room coffee
Happy Hour, Coffee/Tea and Juices in the morning, and an ultra modern sleek hotel. Besides the pool being a letdown (definitely not sanitary)
Pool was definitely not up to par. They do not consistently filter the water in there therefore the water stays stagnant. There is barely any sunlight that enters the courtyard too.
Manager and front desk personnel are incompetent. Very unhelpful and will say anything to defend their own stupidity and faults rather than accommodate their hotel guests.
liked the happy hour, friendly staff, bathrobes, lovely decor, large rooms, fluffy pillows
lobby layout was a bit confusing, i got lost on my way up to my room. Bathrobes could have been newer and softer
The location was good. The staff was pretty good. The style was what I was expecting, upscale and modern.
The pool was small and full of children and toys. Not the relaxing environment I was expecting. The elevators were very small and always full. Our room felt cramped. You could barely fit between the end of the bed and the dresser and I am not a wide person. The shower head did not have enough pressure. We found 2 bugs in the shower. There was no soap for the shower. Our room backed up to a maid closet and was near the elevators which were both loud and could be heard throughout the night. Parking cost $45/day and there is really no other options nearby. None of these things are major problems but at $200/night I expected better.
