Location *only". Too much to write here. Parts of the hotel are not completely inside the hotel. In other words, when it is cold outside (my case), the hotel corridors (and rooms) are freezing. The hotel staff refused to giving me a single blanket and cited "full capacity" (a clear lie) as their excuse. They also refused to provide an itemized receipt at checkout: if you travel for business, you know how bad/outrageous/shocking/problematic this is...
We may have gotten the last available room on the Friday of the Valentines/Presidents Day weekend. Free coffee in the lobby (a lifesaver for me). Twin beds instead of a double, $5 charge for breakfast (which we took a pass on, if I have to pay for it I'll go somewhere else for breakfast), but my major complaint was about the heating system. Our room could be cold or it could be stifling, but there wasn't anything in between.
the cat needs repairs
Location. Tiny room. Very dusty and old. Tiny bathroom. Old, squeaky bed.
The host were nice and very accommodating. The day of my check out they allowed me to leave my luggage there as I toured the city for the day. Room was just a wee on the warm side, but I managed.
Far from the newest hotel on the market, it's welcoming and clean. From the house cat snoozing on the carpet on the stairs or landing, to the big communal breakfast table, it has the character of an older house. Quiet.
The cat, the location, the price The bathroom was set up a bit weird but it functioned fine.
Loved the proximity to DC points if interest and U street. Room was always hot. AC did not work.
