Pros: The traditional house was refurbished and modernized without losing the atmosphere of the original old villa. The hosts were super friendly and we all loved it. We would have liked to stay longer. We will definitely come back when we are back in the area and will recommend to our friends.

Pros: Beautiful building in a really nice setting.
Cons: I found my pillow a bit too big, but that is just personal preference.
Pros: Great breakfast, nice neighborhood location.
Cons: The way to the parking space is too narrow. We lived in the attic room with personal bathroom and restroom in the hallway. But there’s one time we didn’t lock the door, and other people who lived in the same floor just opened and used our bathroom and restroom. (They said theirs are broken and just directly using ours without the permission) It caused big problems for us :(

This holiday park is located in the natural surroundings of Drents-Friese Wold. RCN Vakantiepark de Roggeberg offers an outdoor swimming pool and bicycle rental. Assen is a 22-minute drive. You can prepare meals in your kitchen. At RCN Vakantiepark de Roggeberg there is a restaurant which offer an à la carte menu. Roggeberg inlcudes a tennis court, table tennis and horse riding as well as a children’s playground. You can relax in the garden or on the terrace with a provided newspaper. There are several hiking and cycling routes available in National Park Drents-Friese Wold. Theme Park Duinen Zathe is 2.5 km away, while Heksenhoeve is 1 km and Kookmuseum is 2 km away from the property. It is a 10-minutes’ drive to the A28 highway.
Pros: Nice place for families with young kids. Nothing really amiss here. Friendly staff. Pretty good layout of the park. A small goof up with the rooms and bed linens, but I understand it was a genuine mistake and the staff did apologise.
Cons: Nothing to note.
Pros: Great chalets in the middle of nature. Clean air, quiet and privacy. I also recommend it for families, as there are plenty of opportunities for children entertainment. We loved the swimming pool and biking around the nearby villages. The restaurant is also pretty good.
Cons: Don't go for the pre-paid breakfast. It was disappointing, quite low quality and hardly any options. Breakfast is delivered by the bakery on the premises, so I recommend just going there and buying your own choice. It will probably turn cheaper also. The restaurant ran out of pancakes after we order them for our kids. We had to explain to our children that they can't have pancakes after all, while all other kids around us were having them. Not nice at all. This camping park can do much better when it comes to catering.
Pros: Location was perfect for what i wanted. The house was cosy and warm and we used the resuarant on site that was good as well. Staff were helpful
Cons: Restrictions on having more than one car on site meant a juggling act with access cards into the park. We had no idea about the 1 car policy on site and that was disapointing. Also we had a cleaning cost of 38 euros added onto our bill that had to be paid before we could get our key that was never mentioned at the time of booking which we again were very dissapointed about.
Pros: The cottage was good and clean.
Cons: The place was expensive yet they didn't provide towels. We had been travelling for 4 weeks and didn't have towels with us so had to hire them from RCN at 4 euro each!! Also, the clothes washing facilities were expensive. It seems that not only is the venue expensive, but the owners want to extract more money from you while you're staying there. Of all the places we stayed in the 4 weeks travelling through Europe, this one was the least generous and helpful.
