The stay was comfortable, beautiful setting, excellent connection to downtown. If I have to go to Dresden again, I would stay there again.
it was generaly good the matrasses were stiff
the service was very friendly and helpful, courtyard was beautiful (more like a resort than hotel), parking garage underneath hotel breakfast was overpriced, pool wasn't exciting but was warmer than the so-called hot tub.
very clear and comfortable
The very pleasant and well trained staff. The location. The beautiful spa. The nice breakfast buffet. Many little details that are not always provided in an hotel of this category, like the bath robess (no slippers, unfortunately). A very pleasant hotel indeed. Sonic insulation is not very good. One hears noise from other rooms. The breakfast room tends to be crowded. The architecture is banal.
It's a very quiet hotel with good facilities.
great breakfast, peaceful location, very clean parking and a way to the lobby. you have to get out to get in to the restaurant (100m) - not good for a cold or rainy day. Kids have to be dressed to get out - not convenient. old fashioned door keys - difficult to hide when sightseeing. This hotel consists of several old buildings that have been rebuiled.
Close location to Dresden Easy access to parking Nice surrounding Quiet Size of the rooms comfortable Close location to Dresden Easy access to parking Nice surrounding Quiet Size of the rooms comfortable Easy access to parking Nice surrounding missed a chair in the bathroom, no luggage rack, no A/C, just the nails in the walls and no pictures, no bed covers,
Swimming pool was very nice. Did not like that you had to walk outside or in the garage to get to the swimming pool, this would be very cold in the winter months. Breakfast was way over priced and not worth the money.
Unfortunately - Building work on the front of the hotel.
The staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent, a real highlight with an exeptionally broad variety of choices.
Breakfast was very uninspiring. No fresh bread.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent. The rooms were extremely clean and the food served was very good. No
Hotel is directly on the banks of the river Elbe. Beautiful site overlooking the old town of Meissen. Enchanting views both day and night. Hotel grounds are well-kept and enjoyable. Close to the Meissen porcelain factory. Free parking in a spacious area at the hotel. We stayed here in 1999 and enjoyed our time there. Was glad to see that it was available on the Booking.com website this year. Nothing. Hotel fully met our requirements.
Quiet, clean, great breakfast Name of hotel changed the day before our stay. All outdoor signs were changed with no mention of previous name. Very frustrating and difficult to locate hotel
Location ,breakfast . Slow service in restaurant
From the desk to the restaurant the staff is absolutely superb. $18 dollars for breakfast is just too high !!!
everything was good no, just is not so near to dresdem but we can take the tram and go there in a few minutes without problem
quiet, good staff breakfast a little bit expensive
My stay here was very special because of the kindness and warmth of the staff, the tranquil setting - and yet closeness to Dresden and the elegance of the main hotel. Being able to access all the facilities of the main hotel again added to the pleasurable experience of my stay.
Breakfast was very good. Also enjoyed swimming pool-big and clean. Staff also was very helpful. Nice view on the back of the hotel - vine yards :) In bathroom floor all the time was with water after taking shower even with closed doors and there were nothing with what to take this water so you have to use own towel that you can`t use after. Also a bit inconvenient is staying in last villa of the territory if it is raining. You are wet while getting from main building to your room. I could suggest to hotel to put some umbrellas for moving inside hotel territory in case of rain.
The rooms were spacious and quiet. Parking was plentiful. It was hot in the room and no option of turning down the heating.
Room is great, in beautiful surrounding, and large enough to be comfortable with 2 small kids (4 and 5 YO). Best possible value for money. The kitchen is very helpful when travelling with children. Also, the concierge is knowledgeable and a big help. You pay for the room, and that's what you get. Anything else is extra (and not cheap) - wireless interenet, breakfast, swimming pool, etc.
The hotel staff were excellent, being both pleasant and helpful. The location, close to a tram stop with easy access to all parts of Dresden and its environs, was ideal. Expensive breakfast!
very nice hotel, total silence!! a little far from center, but the tram is fast enough.
The convenience to countryside and Dresden. The toilet fan did not work, small bottles of bath and shower gel and soap not supplied.Could have done with an additional pillow and tea making facilities.
Very hospitable staff; great ambience; easy access to Castle, Meissen Porcelaine Factory, shops and restaurants.
absolutely charming, quaint, comfortable. very acommodating staff. excellent small dining room and one of the best complimentary breakfasts I've ever had! nothing
Wonderful location, excellent food with outstanding breakfast, comfortable, very clean, friendly, exceedingly good value at our discounted rate. One of the best small hotels I've ever visited.
The room was nicely decorated with real paintings. The thick walls kept the summer heat outside. The "bier garten" with a great view on the city below. The breakfastbuffet was o.k. Mind that the hotel is on top of a hill; walking to the city centre and back is not very easy.
We stayed for two nights, and found the hotel convenient. The hotel room is very attractive, but not very functional. Consider: one chair for two occupants. A small table with two chairs would fit nicely beneath the windows. Most comparable hotels in other towns have such furnishings.
Very convenient and nice hotel and hotel staff
Very central, comfortable, and good staff and restaurant. The Domplatz was having work done, and was in a mess. However, the hotel was coping very well with posisble parking problems etc and we did not mind. But the pleasantness of the location is affected at the moment, although the convenience is not. The sooner they get that square ginished to better - it will be lovely.
Pleasant setting in the wooded Moritzburg park. Good breakfast buffet and pleasant terrace. Pleasant hunting lodge decor. Room was small, stuffy, and cramped, Very noisy food delivery activities outside our window awakened us at 7 am. Are internet clients assigned less desirable rooms?
Walking around the near nature
very friendry staff and kindly service. at night, restrant and bar is closed.I want to have haerd it.
Nice and clean hotel.Excellent location.
very friendly staff. Clean and spacious with many facilities for a very reasonable price. Excellent big breakfast.
Large, comfortable apartment. 15-20 minute walk to historic area. Difficult to find on foot. Call ahead for directions rather than use a tourist map!
The comfort of the hotel, the excellent breakfast, the superb restuarant and of course the very friendly staff which made it all an excellent holiday.
Excellent location. At the end of the block, walking toward the city, you come to the river and gorgeous castle view. A great way to start walking tour of old city. We ate, at sunset, at a restaurant up on the castle bluff overlooking the city - fantastic, then walked back to the hotel seeing the castle all lit up!
Clean, bright, lots of room, well furnished, very friendly owners. It was one of the best appartments that we have stayed in. Could do with some dinner plates in the kitchen.
the breakfast was hand delivered and was excellent
Ingrid was a wonderful host who brought us delicious baked goods and fresh coffee to our room every morning.
Staff were very kindly and room was very comfortable. And thier dinner was so good too. I recommend this hotel.
It's clean and nice, may serve as a temporary point to discover Sachsen Pretty far away from main points of interest
Nice location, interesting building history. Excellent cheery service in restaurant. About 20 minutes drive from centre of Dresden
Amazing atmosphere and grounds. The staff was super friendly and the food in the restaurant was wonderful!
The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfasts bounteous, the best I have had on this trip. An excellent hotel.
We had two apartments which were very spacious, we really liked having two bathrooms in one apartment and the kitchen in the other. It worked out well for us since we were traveling as two separate families. Location to the Metro was great since we were traveling into Dresden for the Christmas Market. It was very loud due to the restaruant below our apartment and people staying above us that ran up and down the stairs for quite some time.
The room was large, clean, and very accommodating for our family of six. Breakfast was outstanding, as well as overall service.
Nice location, helpful and kind staff, very good breakfast and clean rooms. While I had booked a parking space, that wasn't available. The free spots were limited and I had to park in a 3h limit parking zone and finally I got a parking ticket. But the Hotel staff recognized their fault and they reimbursed the parking ticket and the prepaid parking.
The apartment size we had was great. Was able to sleep 8 people and had a kitchen available. Breakfast was a good quality, and an easy tram ride into the city of Dresden
clean, good size rooms, extremely helpful staff, restaurant next door was good quality no bar, no tea or coffee facilities in room, no BBC world service/cnn or the like on tv
Breakfast not at additional cost Far out of the centre but taxi's were cheap
Ok with car but you would bust a hump on foot, req a sherpa up the hill ,but it would be worth it as the town was a stunning medievel gem.
I liked the convenient location very near the old city center and the parking places. There aren't parking places for all the rooms, but there are on the street for free. The breakfest was good and enough.
Very nice hotel at a fair cost. we didn't think the climbng from the city was too bad and liked the city of Meissen very much.
really nice stuff not speaking a word in english, the best breakfast, garage, elevator
Nice and quiet, very good breakfast
Pleasant hotel, friendly staff. Located somewhat further from the center than I expected, about 5 minutes by car.
decent location - close to the city, attractions, very quiete
Location just out of town was perfect. Adjacent restaurant with good choice of meals and friendly staff. Hotel receptionist extremely helpful.
Nice room. Good breakfast. Located close to Meissen porcelain factory. Good food in restaurant. Easy to find. Parking available on site but very tight.
Brilliant location - just across the street of Meissen porcelain manufacture, shop and museum. No air conditioning in this terribly hot summer (above 35 degrees Centigrade) makes real problem. To get your car parked you should arrive 1st o 2nd this day - only two slots are convenient.
Very welcoming, comfortable and clean. Good choice at breakfast and great value for money all round. Also ate here one night and meals were delcious and the beer is well priced too. Just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Meissen. Hotel is tucked away but also by a busy road so sometimes noisy but nothing major.
Walking distance to the Meissen porcelain manufacturing. We also liked the cleanliness. The room was spacious, comfortable and agreat value for the money. The parking was a challenge.
Only a moderate self-service breakfast was alright. We had aan extremely noisy doubleroom, that was situated very close to and directly at a main street where traffic raced through all night long. Windows could not be closed because of the heat in the room. When we asked the manager for a more quiet room she did not seem to take our demand seriously and responded in an annoyed and routine way that there were no other rooms available.
Staff, breakfasts, condition of room, attention to detail were all outstanding. Fine family-owned and operated inn. Ample parking and quiet location, yet easy walk to all Moritzburg sites. Ideal location for attending the international Moritzburg Festival of outstanding classical chamber music. Short walk from the Castle and right across the street from the Church Moritzburger, an important festival venue.
Location excellent, room well laid out and clean, tranquil surroundings, well looked after by manager. Food good, although breakfast choice a little restricted. Would readily stay there again for a longer period.
Friendly staff, great surroundings, and proximity to Dresden made it an ideal centre for sightseeing. wine tasting, and visiting the Saxon Switzerland= a place of great historical buildings and fabulous scenery. N/A
