Great breakfast great view, large room right on the square Just that the entry needs some refurbishing
I was given a comfortable room overlooking the square. No problem with noise, although it would have been different if I had kept the window open. Nice bathroom. Free W-LAN. Great breakfast. I was completely satisfied.
it is wery central it was wery noisy
friendly staff, good breakfast, Floors that creaked all night and drapes that did not close and keep out the light.
We were given a comfortable room, wirh a more than adequate breakfast. The position of the hotel is quite striking and easy to find.
The location is very central and the breakfest buffet very rich. The hotel badly needs a refurbishement. Rooms are noisy due to central location and insufficient soundproofing.
The pleasant and efficient services. No
Spacious room. Good breakfast menu Paying for parking
The location is excellence with the plaza, fountain and the church in frint of the hotel especialy at night. The furniture in the lobby and room are very nice, made me feel warm like at home. Nothing.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was very central and easy to find. An earlier check in time would be helpful, but the hotel and staff were excellent
the receptionists were terrific. my room was very nice. and breakfast was great.
It was close to the Polish border and not far from the pottery town of Boleslawiec, where we were going to shop. The price was very good and the room was clean. Parking was free and there was plenty of space. The room was large. We arrived during business hours and had told the hotel staff what time we would be arriving, but there was nobody at reception. We stood in the cold and drizzly weather for 15 minutes ringing the bell and nobody came until we called the after hours phone number. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands, or any toiletries at all provided. We all brought out own toiletries but I would expect at least a bar of soap in the bathroom. The shower had a fabric curtain which is gross if it touches you while bathing.
nice home ambiance, relax and good location
I liked the family atmosphere and the Owner was exremely nice and helpful. I got upgrated to a bigger room for the same price which was fantastic! Next time I will stay there again for sure!
Very nice hotel owner. Beautiful outlook from the room. Historic hotel architecture.
I liked the cleanlyness of the hotel and room .small and practical for one night stay. helpful(although not an english speaker)manageress.good breakfast.
offered good info about the city, professionalism, well organised no, everything was ok. The only thing I could say is that if someone were there and did not know german, might have a slight problem, but not something serious. On the other hand, tourists that visit that historical city mostly come from central Europe and Polland.
Great private parking & buffet style breakfast. The location and price were good. Host could not speak English but showed me the way and what I needed to do to be able to park my car in the private car port and to my room. The curtains didn't go down all the way. Hotel is along a busy street.
close to buses and trains and a short walk to city centre. very good buffet breakfast at this price. small single room was a little cramped but it wasn't the Ritz. washbasin was also small. still very good value.
Excellent value(26 euro per night), very comfortable, recently refurbished room/hotel.Very good breakfast and friendly(non-English spreaking)staff. Also, Gorlitz is probably the most beautiful city in Germany! Soap not provided in bathroom so take your own!
Although the manageress did not appear to understand much English, she provided a kettle promptly when we asked for it. The room was not exactly luxurious but very clean, comfortable, and good value. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The stairs were poorly lit, often the light did not come on at all, giving rather gloomy and uninviting atmosphere.
Gaestehaus Lisakowski was a good value for the money. The room was clean and very spacious, actually the largest room we had during our trip. Our 2 person room had a huge bed, WC, Shower, Couch, table, clothing cabinet & TV. Staff was friendly. Gaestehaus Lisakowski is also located not to far from the train station The only downside of staying at Gästehaus Lisakowski was that it was about a 20-30 minute walk to the center of Goerlitz. However, considering everything else, not too bad (+ a chance for some additional exercise).
The location of the hotel is excellent. The price is fair and the hospitality of the owners is remarkable. The furniture of the room might be more adjusted to the neeeds of the tourists as well as free of charge access to internet would be the adventage. It is fine, mybe in spring time better heating. But still it is ok.
The owners were very helpful and the apartment you could live in
First, I would like to say how wonderful Robert and Vera Locke are! We got a little lost trying to find the Gasthaus, due to construction, but they came to our rescue. I called them, and was told to stay put, then they actually met us to follow them back to their house. Secondly, the apartment we had was again wonderful! We originally reserved the larger one, but only needed the smaller one upon arrival, which was at a lower price. In the morning, breakfast was brought to us, promptly at our requested time, which was also very good! Brotchen, meat, cheese, eggs, with homemade jam, simply delicious. Only regret...that we weren't staying longer. We used the Gasthaus as a lay over, our final destination was Krakow and Auschwitz. None, loved it!!
You could feel like in a casual life in Gorlitz.
This is a family guest house located in the very center of Görlitz. Owned by a retired university professor. Excellent location, exceptional people, exceptional interior. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends.
The bedroom and the shower are spacious. For those who like to read, there are plenty of books in the room or downstairs. There was a big screen tv in our room with different channels including French. Lack of air-con during the hot nights in July, at least a fan would have been appreciated. The breakfast could have been more than just one egg and a bun with jam.
The owners Bob and Vera were wonderful and the apartments are just beautiful. I couldnt believe it for the price. We are planning to return again in the future. The bed was a little hard.
The owners were very friendly and informative, the ground floor apartment was great!, and the location was perfect.
My single room was a private room rather than a hotel room as such. But it was still good value for the money - hosts were friendly, breakfast was great and Goerlitz itself is a gem.
Beautiful, comfortable, spacious room/apartment. Wonderful warm welcome. Delicious jam!
Exellent! Never before we forgot we´re just staying at a hotel. Very soon we felt like beeing at home in this castle with its very friendly staff.
This is a perfect place for a romantic stay. The palace is beautifully restored and located in a peaceful garden. An excellent cuisine! The quality of the service and helpfulness of the staff are truely outstanding!
Large room, comfortable bed, the owner/host was friendly and agreeable. He offered to drive me to the station early on the day I was leaving, I got going early enought to walk. He had the morning buffet earlier than normal so I could have breakfast before departing. Even offered for me to make and pack a sandwich for the trip. Hotel was in a more residential area on a "street car" line. Close to Bahnhof. Wish all the places where I stayed could have been as nice an experience..
the staff were very friendly and accomodating. the restaurant served great local food, the chef even came to our table and explained the dishes on the menu. it was only a short walk from the hauptbahnhof to the hotel with a tram stop across the road.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Beautifully restored building in easy walking distance to the central city. Good service. no
Very comfortable room with plenty of space and a balcony. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. A short walk into the old town. Good value.
Meal. Very old, quality of renovation very low.
Good hotel, friendly staff. The building is a traditional one, so it's got a bit of flair too. Parking is no problem. The hotel is situated at the city's brink, which makes for very nicely quiet rooms to the back. On the other hand, walking into the historic center takes some time (marching rather than walking at least 20 minutes), and if you're tired after walking around for a whole day ... the tram line leading past the hotel stops operating at 8 pm. You should be prepared to pay for a taxi.
The breakfast was super! The staff was incredibly nice and the room we stayed in was big, clean, and tastefully furnished. The beds were very comfortable.
Large room, with a very large and comfortable double bed, with clean bathroom and balcony.Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Free parking. Good value for money. There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel at all. It was an excellent 2-3 star choice. The only thing I would comment on is its location, if you want to be right in the heart of the old city, then this isn't the right hotel for you. s we had a car, it was no problem at all.
Spacious, comfortable rooms, good food, all staff helpful and friendly. When I was taken ill one night we recieved an amazing and unexpected amount of help and kindness from the owner, whilst the following morning another member of staff ensured we caught an early train.Thank you so much for all you did for us.
I have stayed at this hotel several times and they are always extremely friendly and accomodating. Great breakfast.
Very nice hotel for the price. Friendly staff and convenient parking.
Room and breakfast were good. Parking in the rear. Good location. Easy to find. Internet weak. Had to stand in the hall to connect. No lift.
Very good breakfast, good sized room A lift would be a welcome addition
Walking distance to waterfront/river/old town. Breakfast was good No
Clean and comfortable hotel, in a most fascinating hotel. All non-german speakers should bring a dictionary and/or phrase book. as there is very little english spoken in Gorlitz ( and little english spoken at the hotel ).
Excellent location - very handy for the station. I must have been the last guest in as they front desk had everything ready when I arrived so I was in bed within 5 minutes of walking in the door. The foam mattresses on the beds are an acquired taste. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Couldn't work out if the 1 beer in the Mini-bar was included in the room rate so I left it alone.
spacious room. good location. the room was very nice, but I require a firmer mattress. someone else may have preferred the existing mattress. everything was very nice.
A lovely hotel with great staff. Dining in the courtyard restaurant was excellent. The hotel has a great location in the old town. No
A beautiful building in an excellent location. Parking is convenient and it was good to have free internet. Staff helpful and friendly.
Half of the town is in Germany, the other half is in Poland. A beautiful hotel with fantastic rooms and a great restaurant serving traditional food from the region.
Excellent hotel, historic city and attractive prices, discover it !
Conmfortable with a feeling of 'old world' hospitality. The hotel has everything that is to be expected in a modern hotel, but it also alllows guests to feel at home. It was a joy to be met by someone keen to carry our bags to our room and to park our car.
Everything, the food was great!
The hotel was ideally located for our 24 hoiur stay in Gorlitz, which we loved.
Great location, wonderful room, professional staff.
Beautiful room, ecellent breakfast Only one English-language TV news channel
We were more then pleased when we got to the Hotel, perfect location, great dinner and breakfast and lovely room, just great would not know
Breakfast was very well presented, great choice of German cheese, sausage and botcshen. Outside was unkept. Things laying around of personal junk around the bask and sides of pension. We had to go with the owners to the Bank to pay for it in cash because they did not take credit card from other country.
location at the parc nothing
The hotel was clean and well kept and the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast service and variety was excellent. The internet service and costs were not reasonable, particularly for business access and the cost. Perhaps this is common in Europe, but not in other areas.
The breakfast was excellent. Also, the bar had a nice choice of beers and other drinks.
An undiscovered gem. Very clean and good looking. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Hotel rooms and public areas were attractive and well-maintained. We found it difficult to locate, despite having a GPS. In seeking the hotel, we ended up in line at the Polish border and had to make a quick u-turn.
Very nice staff, family room was perfect for our size family of five which is very rare in europe. Would recommend to anyone.
They are an amzing family who give you a really warm welcome
Friendly staff Diffficult to find, tucked in group of buildings in a large plaza, not on a street
Breakfast was good, hotel quiet and bathroom clean and quite comfort. Beds impossible: no elasticity at all. Location uncomfortable: no public transportation in the evening during weekends. No lift (room in the 3rd floor, ground floor included). Entrance hall was full of bikes!
Mooie ruime kamer, goed en netjes ingericht. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. zeer goed eten en ontbijt. Gratis parkeren direkt voor de deur
Spacious accommodation, good food and friendly staff. Difficult to find the hotel at the first/second/third attempt because the entrance to the site is on a hazardous road junction and there was no obvious sign for the hotel. There is no lift which caused difficulties for my wife who is registered disabled.
Very clean, large room, good shower, free parking No elevator and reception was in the restaurant which was a little strange
The location is great, just within the city limits of Gorlitz--the town itself is a treasure--wonderful architecture and history plus shopping and Polish town Zgorelec literally across the bridge. Language was a barrier, but not a big problem. Owner speaks very little English, but had a friend to help with breakfast arrangements.
Solid pension...for the price, can't be beat. Good-sized room with two twin beds, modern bathroom with good hot water/pressure in shower, small separate kitchen area with fridge. Breakfast was fine, just different. Food brought to your room, so what they give you is what you get. Pension is quite a bit away from city center, but I only stopped here as a overnighter on the way to Krakow. Sits on a dead-end street, so at night it's very quite, but during the day, the road is very, very busy with employees from the hospital across the way utilizing the street for free parking. The street is full of parked cars from 0500-1700, and if you're a light sleeper, you'll hear them all.
Very friendly owner. Excellent breakfast! Quiet neighborhood. No restaurant in or near the hotel.
Excellent location near old town. and pedestrian zone. Excellent facilities. Extra fee for both parking and breakfast.
Hotel is right downtown and easy access to all of the historical parts of Bautzen. It was very clean, parking was inexpensive and right next to the hotel. Breakfast was included and was a very, very good assortment. Nothing bad about it - if I had to so anything I would say that there were lots of smokers staying there who congregated at the front entrance and one had to walk through a large blue haze whenever coming or going.
