It's really a very nice resort to spent time with family. The ambience is good. The rooms are kept neat and tidy. The staff are also cooperative and do their best to understand the needs of the traveller inspite of the language barrier. Overall a good experience.

With a stay at Kurumba Village Resort – Nature Resorts, Nilgiris, India in Coonoor, you'll be in a state park, just steps from Nilgiri Hills. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Planning an event in Coonoor? This resort has facilities measuring 1000 square feet (90 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is amazing on an old spice plantation on the side of a hill with a waterfall running through the property; about 17 kilometres from Conoor. The facilities of the room were excellent, with a balcony looking out onto the tree tops and mountains. Being in tea growing area there was a large selection of different teas in the room. Brave the swimming pool, it may feel a little cool; but is so refreshing and has an amazing view whilst swimming in it overlooking the valley and mountains. All food was included in the price, which was excellent and plentiful. The tea shop was also good although we never had room left for the snacks. It is worth going on some of the included activities; the morning bird watching and spice walk was led by a very knowledgeable naturist. We also paid for a half day trip to Conoor which was well worth it.
Cons: We wished we could have stayed for longer. There was nothing we didn't like. Although it is difficult to find, I suggest phoning the hotel for directions before you start the road up to the hills. Also the approaching road to the property somewhat rough, better with a 4x4. For those who can not walk up hills suggest rooms near reception. Also keep your room doors locked. My husband had a bit of a scare when 2 large monkeys opened the closed door and came into the room; heading straight for the tea!
Cons: No sign boards to understand the way. The location on maps is different
Cons: No proper hot water
Pros: Well behaved Staff, best option for family in Ooty region

Pros: The good views from the hotel room balcony, cozy room and clean washroom. Its a good place to spend with loved once. If you are visiting Coonoor for the first time the hotel staff are very helpful in preparing the day plan and finding you a cab/rickshaw, very helpful Ravi.
Pros: Location was nice but very far from the route to Bangalore.
Cons: Bathroom, Dinner,
Pros: Warmth of the staffs...always smiling and ready to serve Mr Ravi has been very helpful throughout my stay. Always guided in the proper way that suited all of us. The foĺlowing are the usp of this resort : i) Awesome location...viewing the Tea garden right from the bed ii) The whole property is well maintained and very neat iii) you could venture the adjoining Tea garden and soak yourself in the midst of the nature
Cons: Should have north Indian dishes as well in the breakfast and meals
Pros: The view from the room is very good. The rooms are kept clean and is good. The food is limited and if pre-ordered you will get good hot food.
Cons: For off season prize it is very good, but if you are looking for peak season the cost does not meet the stay requirements. Hence they need to be more competitive in the prizing side. You will get more positive feedback if you take care of the prizing during peak season.
Pros: The quietness n serenity encompassing the property. The ground floor room get a bonus backyard garden.
Pros: The best part of the property was the beautiful location on top of a hill with great views all around. An ideal place to relax and meditate, wake up in the morning to watch the sunrise and the hills and greenery all around. Food and staff was okay. Sensitive and responsive but caters only to basic needs. The property was clean overall.
Pros: The staff and service. Everyone is sweet and helpful. The rooms are BIG! The rooms look bigger and nicer than the pictures that are uploaded.
With a stay at Storyteller in Coonoor, you'll be in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Nilgiri Hills and Sim's Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very good location, nice and caring staff and manager, comfortable stay. Will definitely stay there again when I go next
Pros: Storyteller is perfect, with great value for money, location and facilities. The rooms are adequate, the view is magical. With HIghfield tea estate right behind, and the main market about 15mins walking, it's well-placed. The staff is efficient and extremely helpful. Meals are quite delicious, reasonably priced with good portions.
Pros: The location was great! The room was nice and big with a comfortable bed.
Cons: The breakfast on the second day was very boring...
Pros: Rooms are really nice .. but the property is average and the location is okay. Service level of staff is also average. Don’t have anything bad to say about this place as we had an average experience.
Pros: The location was fine and as good as expected.
Cons: Our stay was problematic: The rooms were not serviced on the first day because one of our party had not handed in their key. We were told that there was no master key as it was with the owner in Bangalore! When the rooms were serviced, drinking water, tea bags and milk sachets were not replenished. There was poor wifi in the top rooms and none in the lower rooms. We found that we had to order evening food before 4pm when we returned later one day and went to bed hungry. The menu choice was not given because management told us we could only have certain things and would not make our choice of food for breakfast. E.g. There were six of us and if we had idli at breakfast they said we couldn't have upuma. Two of our party were ill and stayed in their rooms on the first day. One of them asked for a window to be opened which a staff member did but did not draw across the screen. She woke to find a monkey staring her in the face. The surprised monkey grabbed the bag of peanuts from the snack tray and dashed out the window. A monkey bite requires immediate treatment for rabies and general infection, so this incident is not acceptable. The staff laughed and said that the monkeys can open the screens anyway as there are no latches. If this is the case there should be latches on the screens and notices in each room warning guests about the monkeys. The hotel is built on a slope (usual in the hilly area) and there are therefore many steps and drops - not for people unsteady on their feet. A hazard not foreseen is the plate glass door in front of reception, which is especially invisible after dark. I collided with this door and nearly knocked myself out. Putting a sticker on the glass at eye height would have prevented this. The owner was there on the second day and admitted there were lessons to be learnt. Immediately afterwards workers came in to do welding one of our rooms while the guest was sitting there.
Pros: Its a homestay kind of small resort, with good view from the room and located near to few of the places to visit, the caretaker is good but you will not feel of a hotel/resort kind of environment. And they stressed a lot on the checkout timings even if they were very less guests.
Cons: Strict checkout timings, tv was not recharged which is the only entertainment present.
Pros: Cleanliness and views
Cons: Over caution around staff thinking that people book 1 room and many people stay in 1 room. Constant watch as though you are in alcatraz. I don't think they know how to respect privacy of individuals and also have small minds to think everyone who goes there are cheapskates and screw jacks. Does the manager think he is FBI? Learn professional hospitality Story teller!
Pros: Location is smack in the middle of tea gardens. View is splendid. Rooms are very big and as described/shown in photos. It gives the antique/classic feeling of a bungalow/cottage. The lights are comparatively dimmer. Washrooms are not shown (or are scarce) in booking site photos, so I will share them in my review. Rooms and washrooms were clean. The rooms we stayed in had excellent views. The property has only 6 rooms, out of that couple of them do not have the views. If you are in for views, then it is better to request hotel so and more importantly book the hotel much in advance. The staff were very friendly. If you are looking for a peaceful stay then this is a very good place to stay. We stayed there for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. I think it is worth the price.
Cons: Hotel should do something on the matter of food. It does have facility for food, but the staff has to be informed much in advance. Probably the Hotel can quote it somewhere on the booking page that it requires around 30 mins to 1 hour notice to serve the food, as it is freshly prepared. It is only 1+km from Sim's park. But being hilly area, the distance is quite a lot. And so, the nearest restaurant is far. It was difficult for us to get early breakfast, the staff does not stay there, but comes from their home - is what we were told. Given the size of the rooms, the washrooms could have been made bigger easily. We were served bread and jam, uttappam in breakfast. It was okay.
With a stay at Wallwood Garden Coonoor in Coonoor, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Nilgiri Hills and 6 minutes by foot from Sim's Park.
Pros: The hospitality of the staff
Cons: Rooms are too over priced and the food was horrible and too highly priced for a very poor quality.
Pros: Excellent & polite staff and great food. Great rooms. Location is close to sightseeing places like Sims park & Dolphin's nose.
Cons: Good place but is withering slowly. Saw some maintainance work is going on as well so hoping they'll make it better. Not much of a view from rooms or the property itself but then it's in the middle of the town & a small place so expected.
Pros: A great place and lovely helpful staff
Pros: Excellent staff.... They were the stars of the show
Pros: The staff was excellent - service with a smile - special mention of robin Lawrence and gita
Cons: The showers were very weak
Pros: Beautiful house in a great location!
Pros: One of the best places to stay in Coonoor. Folks who are in charge of the place maintain it clean and are super warm to the guests. Easy check in and check out. If you don't want to stay in over crowded Ooty, then this is the place to stay as it's proximity to Ooty is also a plus. Garden is well maintained and the house is well taken care of. Mr. Lawrence was thoroughly helpful as were the others. Ms Geetha and her team are the best kind you can have to help you settle down. Food was good, you need to place order a little early as it's prepared fresh. Room had a warm toasted effect thanks to the room heater and had an old world charm to it. Just switch on the geyser for over 30 mins or so and you get steaming hot water (we stayed in dec and with winter setting in, it took longer for water to heatup). Definitely a great place to stay esp with kids.
Cons: There were couple of weird devil like drawings on the wall as soon as you enter the living room which might scare a few folks.
Pros: It is very conveniently located to all the attractions and to main coonoor. The property is a heritage property and if you like the old vibe you will love this property, it truly is a non hotel, hotel with extremely courteous and helpful staff. It also has a functional fire place and a really sweet living room
Located just 1.9 km from the beautiful Sims Park and 5 km from the Coonoor Bus Station, Serenity Manor provides 24-hour front desk for the convenience of the guests. The spacious and bright rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV and seating area. The attached bathrooms come with a shower. Serenity Manor is located just 1 km from the famous High Field Tea Factory and 20 km from both the popular Botanical Garden and the scenic Ooty City. The Coimbatore Railway Station and the Coimbatore International Airport are 80 km away. Featuring a shared lounge/TV area and grounds, the property provides ticket and car rental services. The ironing service can be requested at a surcharge. Packed lunches are available. Room service serves Indian dishes.
Pros: Location, cleanliness.
Cons: Property was overpriced. Going by the facilities, it should not have been more than Rs 2000 per day and that too at this off season and breakfast too was not included. So, 3000 for one room was really too much. We ordered dinner the first day( as the maintenance person provided the option), but that was hardly eatable. My mother literally ate roti with onion. Chicken was priced at Rs 160. There was hardly any chicken there. Only gravy. We did not eat there afterwards. We saw an entry of a guest before us. They were charged less than Rs 2000 for the same room. So when it comes to pricing, I do not recommend this place.
Cons: WiFi service is bad. Breakfast wasn't included.
Pros: Hospitality and cleanliness
Pros: Excellent property with wonderful caretakers Will visit again
Pros: Very calm & quite place. Good for both families and bachelors trips. Excellent homely food - big thanks to Vijayam akka for such a delicious homely food. Staffs are very friendly.
Cons: Little far from main attactions.
Pros: The location of the property is too Good, it is well maintained clean and Hygiene. The Staff are simply amazing. Any trips will be cherished only when all 3 things are good. Environment, Clean Rooms and Good Food and we enjoyed all 3 things here pulse point is the Staffs are Good.
Cons: Houseflies and Property Name Board was missing and took bit difficult to locate initially.

When you stay at MGM Hill Worth Resorts in Coonoor, you'll be 1 minutes by foot from Nilgiri Hills.
Pros: The room was comfortable and very spacious. Loved the decor. The breakfast was limited
Cons: The property can be better maintained. Looks a little run down but am sure the staff is planning on improving
Pros: The view from the room was amazing and the food at the in house restaurant or pantry was exceptional plus the behavior of the staff namely Mr. Laxman, Mr. Antony, Mr. Ravi and Mr. Praveen made our stay even more comfortable
Cons: The only thing which I didn't like was the approach road towards the Resort. The Management should try and see that the road is repaired. Also, they should work on getting a good play area for the children.
Pros: Food was excellent
Cons: The restaurant has strict timings when we visit for leisure we often tent to be late if they can have a flexible timing will help
Pros: Staff was really friendly
Cons: Very few aminities

Cons: The property has quite a large garden and orchard area and there is scope for improvement .We loved that there is a stream flowing near it and the sound of running water is good to the senses .
Pros: Nothing we liked about this place
Cons: The room was a shady place. We were not given our booked room. Rather the owner claimed he gave us a superior room than the room we booked. Foul smell in the room. Back breaking bed. Inappropriate pillow.Advance asked upfront.
Cons: Behavior is good and experienced homely manner. But we could not find our booked two rooms. Instead we all 8 family members are allowed to stay in a single room, but charged more than that of two rooms that I have booked at last.
Pros: The property is situated near to Fern Hill Police station. The location is good.
Cons: No fans are there. Now a days Coonoor is becoming hot than the actual climate. If fan is provided; it'll be better
Pros: Great stay, the owner and his staff were very friendly, helped us with all our questions. Quiet area. All the sites are easy to reach from there. Since we came in the rainy season we could not use the roof top or the garden. Breakfast was nice, fresh and homemade.
Pros: reaching the location is a tough ride with no proper roads only a single road anyhow its a peacful area, recomend for huge fmly not foe friends
