Delicious breakfast, spacious room, quiet environment. Good location (about 20 mins drive from Plymouth). Not much to do in the evening, but the hotel staff recommended Who Would Have Thought Inn in a close by village, and it was excellent food. Nothing, everything was good.
I really liked the bath in my room. Nice and big I didn't think the food in the bistro bar was very good. I also thought a pint of local cider was too expensive
excellent beds, good location, nice golf course, good swimming pool / sauna, decent rooms, good value for money no atmosphere in restaurant/bar area, cold restaurant
Indoor leisure complex Restaurant lacked atmosphere.
Quite no noise first class will be returning again keep up the good work. None
Good value for money on this occasion. I would have liked free internet connection.
liked the fact that it was not very far from anywhere, staff were very helpful,
Staff very friendly. Room clean and nice shower. Free parking. Location. Bed big but mattress quite hard, we found it hard to sleep comfortably. Roadside noise, so a bedroom on the harbour side would have been better since we have a small baby.
Room and hotel very clean and reception staff very helpful As it was very warm and although a fan was provided, which was on all night, air conditioning would have been better.
Clean comfortable rooms. Wifi very expensive. Wifi at £5 per hour or £10 for 24 hours even campanile now have free wifi!!
All staff of the Hotel are polite and professional, they are willing to assist their customers with heart.
Just a short walk to National Marine Aquarium & Barbican (across footbridge) City centre is also within walking distance.
Location to the city and the Hoe was good all within walking distance.
Staff were helpfull. Considering this hotel chain prides itself on offering a guarenteed good nights sleep, the fact that it is on a very noisy main road and directly opposite a scrap metal merchants yard, means that you are woken periodically through the night by cars, and then at 7.30am on a Saturday morning by the noise of machinery and scraping metal.
All reception staff were happy, helpful and accommodating. Rooms were clean and bright with nice decor. There was an unacceptable amount of noise from outside due to inadequately glazed windows. The housekeeping staff were very noisy from early in the morning, chatting loudly in halways and banging doors, furniture and vacuums noisily throughout the morning. That wouldn't be a problem if you were staying for business and needed to be up and out early but was annoying when we were hoping for a relaxing, quiet morning.
This hotel is in a very quiet, but excellent location for us. The free parking meant that we could leave the car there and explore the city and its surounds easily. The building site that is in preparatory stages at the moment could be a noise and dust problem in the coming months
Everything was very clean and new.
excellent rooms and helpful staff N/A
Future inns and Hoels have a whole experience of great hospitality. I always attempt to stay with this hotelgroup.
Quiet, elegant and efficient hotel. Very comfortable beds, lovely to have duvets instead of blankets. Nothing whatsoever, would stay at any Future Inn in future.
Only in the hotel to get ready and sleep so did not use any of the facilities but room very comfortable and roomy Breakfast was very basic
The hotel was very clean and well presented and my room was fantastic value for money, I also found the staff very helpful and friendly
The peace and quiet about the whole hotel I had no problems
The clean, modern decor and facilities, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel restaurant was also good. Could have been cheaper, perhaps more deals for non-business guests staying for more than one night.
Everywhere very spacious, including bedrooms; fixtures and fitting to a very high standard. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Lighting in room excellent with spotlight over desk. At least 10 power points in the room, 3 were next to the bed. Tea and coffee in room. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer in room. They do a good evening meal deal - £15 for 2 course evening meal with one drink. They have 2 real ales in the bar, both from South Hams brewery. It's a Canadian chain with only 3 hotels in the UK. It's easy to find and easy to get to being just north of the A38 but it is a bit of a way from the centre. Good English breakfast - fried eggs are cooked to order; the rest is buffet.
lots of space, very modern, privacy, good for kids. the aircon failed while we were there. as it was a weekend they were unable to fix it
pleasant staff and good food at the Brasserie Apart from the smart reception area, the hotel could do with some decorating and refurbishment
We ate in the Brasserie which was excellent the food was delicious and good value.
very good, staff very helpful rooms were nice
The room was very quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. The area behind the bath taps was really very dirty with mould and should have been spotless (room 508).
The rooms furnishings were fresh and clean obviously recently refurbished. Lovely choice of decor bedding and comfy bed. Room 306.. i am a light sleeper and the noise from the clubs and road did keep me awake but my daughter slept like a log..the added bonus of free use of lesiure club was great lovely staff in there too..
the resturant below is very nice and cooks steak perfectly. Although centrally located noise is minimal, facilities clean and staff very polite. although i thought the booking.com description was slightly misleading about wifi charges. The staff resolved the situation and have promised to edit the description to ensure noone else expects wifi to be included in the room foc!
Facilities were very good for the price of the hotel. The restaurant menu was small and expensive, the bar menu had a lot more selection. The bar menu should have been served in the restaurant
the room was fantastic and was within walking distance of the town centre.
The Hotel Night Porter! Washing left outside opposite room from 2pm until following morning. Expected more for our money. Landing/Hallway carpets sellotaped. We booked a room for 3 tho when we wanted a hot chocolate there was only 1 supplied. Would not stay again, value for money terrible & location not brill. We have stayed at the Copthorne Hotel before & The Jurys. Wo uld most definately stay at Jurys again. Hotel staff brill tho!
Faultlessly clean and superb breakfast, served hot ! The stairs to our room on top floor !
Pleasant people running it. Very comfortable room
The staff was very helpful, rooms was spotless and very spacious, breakfast was plentyfull and tasty. As a former manager of a London 4 star hotel I found Jewells was a better standard and I would recommend it to anyone I could not find one fault about the hotel
There was cctv in the hallway which captured an image of everyone coming through the door who either had a key or was calling at the hotel. A good safety feature.
Very friendly people, great location near the Barbican and City Centre. More comfortable bed than I expected for the price. Sink in room. Shared bath not shared by many. Location means lots of noisy seagulls early. Don't expect more than three TV channels.
the staff were very useful and friendly , breakfast was ample and prompt we were on the top floor and the stairs were hard work !!
Excellent scrambled eggs :O) You have to be fit - there are a lot of stairs
Good location, good price Staff were not very accessible, rooms and stairwell very narrow and hard to get luggage through
Felt very relaxed and welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Great location.
Location is very good for Plymouth City, the hotel was bordering excellent, the dining annexe is a great spot especially for a drink outside by the docks. Food was good and price reasonable. But, come on one bath towel, should we have asked for another, we were a couple and my wife hogged it. Also two teabags ? meant we had to go and buy a pack of tea, I guess we could have swiped some at breakfast but don't like to do that. Otherwise it was our first stay at Premier and it was good. Regards.
Courteous and conscientious staff, warm comfortable room with controllable heater and a kettle, competitive price, convenient location, money-back guarantee. Unappetising menu, bouncy battery egg for breakfast, hot water not working at 8pm, bathroom didn't smell great.
ILoved the room, comfy , very clean and very helpful staff How noisy the traffic all the time and noisy drunken people walking by up to 4.00am
It was convenient for what I needed. I was taking my son back to Plymouth University and just needed a bed for the night. My room was on the side of the building that faced a main road. The Inn didn't have air conditioning so I had to have the window open during the night and this meant I was disturbed by a lot of traffic noise.
All staff were helpful and friendly at all times, but I did get the feeling that they were all reading from a corporate script rather than genuine concern for peoples welfare.
Very helpful staff .central position.ample car parking.
Typical premier inn Nothing special. Hot in rooms even though a fan provided but made it noisy at night Small bed creaked badly mattresses very hard
Excleent check-in process advising us of hotel's Good Night Sleep guarantee and combined breakfast & dinner package for £22. Bathroom could do with some maintenance regarding general decoration; E.G. ceiling starting to develop mould above shower area.
Location was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good value for money. Some rooms faced noisey road and no reduction for single room occupancy.
Attentiveness of staff Nothing
Breakfast was very good Staff attitude on arrival
i liked the idear of a room upstairs and the bar just downstairs with a tranquil setting bear garden with stream outside full marks for breakfast noise from the hot water system at night in the bedroom
A convenient location for our purposes. Restaurant and bar available although we thought the food was average but still represented reasonable value-for-money. The restaurant serving staff were very rushed and the food came within minutes of being ordered giving us the distinct impression that it had been reheated in a microwave. When we presented ourselves in the bar (there didn't seem to be a reception area or, if there was, it was locked) we were met with blank looks when we claimed to have made a booking. The faxed booking confirmation was eventually found and we were shown to our room. As above, room was adequate but the temperature controls on the shower did not reflect the way the plumbing had been connected, i.
good breakfast, Nice to hear the staff singing at Breakfast, Beer was excellent. All in all a good stay. Noisy plumbing!
Tour cornwall Bathroom very small do not class this hotel as two star I wwould class it as one going by the rooms
We had a nice room with a good bathroom with an excellent shower. Everything about the place was well maintained and those running it were really friendly and good at their jobs. Not at all obsequious or intrusive but just "normal". The breakfasts were superb and gave you enough energy for a hard day's work before returning to an excellent dinner in the evening. The place is in a lovely part of East Cornwall, very close to the coast and the moors. None really. Watch out for the bean at the bottom of the stairs - but that is what an older property is all about.
Having access to gym & spa Swimming pool was out of use which hadn't been told at booking in
Location, food. Rather tired and run down. (we knew it from many years ago when it was much better. Cat seem to be allowed in dining room. Tables not cleared in dining room - lots of dirty plates. If we had paid the Elfordleigh website rate then I would have been complaining very loudly!
The receptionist on our first night was amazing and imediately made us feel that we were the only guest that they had there. The staff attitude in the swim area, we felt that he couldn't be bothered and a regular member told us about the facilities instead - poor.
Room was large and airy with good biews across course. Hotel Receptionist excellent and very friendly. Spa and swimming pool very good. Lack of parking spaces and tables for breakfast. Had to wait 25 minutes to get coffee order taken at breakfast.
Good Service Poor food quality - was not fresh - more like frozen diced chicken warmed up (Had the Curry & Friend had the stir fry - same style chicken in it)
Clean, quiet and comfortable - ideal for a short business stay or a leisure break for golf or relaxation. NO
The cat that visits the hotel! The hotel is way over priced for what it is!
the room and food was fabulous would love to stay at the hotel again
The location was excellent - peace and quiet. Overlooking parkland that was now a golf course. The place lacked character and atmosphere. Soulless
Not the first stay, and not the last. Nice room & service, ideally located hotel, good value.
Nothing really, was a big dissapointment, it was noisy, too much traffic, some guests slamming the doors at 3-4 am., It was noisy, too much traffic, some guests slamming the doors at 3-4 am., it was cold
Comfortable and generally welcoming. Internet access in the bedroom did not work.
This hotel is ldeally located for the City Centre, it offers comfort and relaxation to shoppers or mere tourists visiting the area. There is nothing about this hotel we found to complain about.
The staff were very helpful and friendly The Coffee, breakfast, hairdryer, worn decor
The only thing we did'nt like was that the shower in bathroom did'nt work properly but as we was leaving in the morning it wasnt a major problem
Central location No
old hotel but very comfortable and clean
Location Small car park
Good room quality for a low price. Slow lift, long periods spent waiting for it while having to go only one floor up - it would have been faster to use the stairs but we couldn't find where they were.
warm and comfortable with easy access
Convenience to Plymouth and access to a bar and restaurant Rooms could do with brightening up
None Noisy dual carriageway close to the hotel
Quiet, convenient, spacious due to the design I felt it could do with some redecoration which would make it look better straigtht away.
Good access and parking, good breakfast choice ,aesy route out to main roads.
The staff where courteous, the room standard but comfortable. The restaurant was pleasant with a good choice of meals at an acceptable price.
God service Bathroom loed tired
Good bed and hot shower, helpful staff Hotel looks dated
Nice big bed and comfy No hairdryer in room
The room was adequate for a budget hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good. We stayed over a weekend and it was a little noisy through the night with people coming back from nights out.
Had a great time and look foward to going again. Breakfast is too expensive £9 each
Nice location, good recreational facilities Outdated accommodation which included: cheap, uncomfortable beds; rubberised sheets (for the incontinent?!); cheap fixtures and fittings. Many B&Bs at this price offer far superior accommodation
The staff were courteous, there was ample, free parking and I had access to the swimming pool and sauna. The rooms were small (rather dated) apartments in a separate building from the restaurant, Bistro/bar and Reception- it was raining! The breakfast at £9.00 was rather expensive.
The facilities offered on site.
Good safe parking. Staff were v nice but too noisy - Maybe lot of training going on.
the accomodation and facilities were very good value for money The bar staff were not very helpfull and the service was very slow, all other staff were excellent
I liked the room I didn't like the fact that you had to pay extra to use the gym . The reason I booked to stay here was so I could use the gym. but did not in the end because of the extra charge.
Good golf and spar Plastic type sheet on bed under sheet. This would put me off staying.
Leisure facilities Staff abit stressed during breakfast due to large amount of guests.
