Pros: This is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed at. Carinne is a warm and welcoming host who serves an incredible breakfast. The place is spotlessly clean.
Cons: A little bit difficult for cyclists since it is at the top of a steep road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is really incredible... I never thought a B&B could be like this! My wife and I were completely impressed by the way this owner runs her B&B. From the beginning to the end, all was perfect. The very warm welcome of Carine, how she presented all the available services. When we arrived, the sun started shining literally. So we enjoyed the nice garden with swimming pool, the terrace of our bedroom. The free available coffee in the room. All was decorated very modern and with nice personal details. And then the breakfast, WOOOOWWWW. Unfortunately far too much to handle. But delicious with cheeses, ham, eggs, croisants, breads, coffee/tea, yoghurt... No wonder that everyone is writing in the guestbook about their enjoyable stay. INCREDIBLE. We will certainly try to come back. Congrats go to Carine.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a charming b and b in a quiet part of Namur. It's a short walk to a restaurant overlooking the river. The b and b was clean, and we had plenty of space, with a lovely view of the garden. We slept well in the comfy bed. I used my schoolboy French but the owners spoke English - apparently the English "make good guests". There was a local bus if you wanted to venture down into the town.
Cons: Nothing for us.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely flat located on the hill in the surroundings of Namur Citadel. Free parking in front of the flat, with a nice spacious dining room and a lovely bedroom. Great welcome from the landlord and outstanding breakfast, with freshly baked brioches and lovely cheese.
Cons: Maybe a little bit too far from the downtown, you definitely need a car to get around, but it's no big deal.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The nice and very quiet surroundings.
Cons: My length is 1.80 m. I scraped my bald head against the ceiling (aow...) above the bath when I stood erect after showering. Suggested to at least put up a clear warning sign for people above 1.75 m. By the way, I did not like the fact that the shower head cannot be positioned above my head. I also found that, as in many b&b's, the lighting above the mirror is poorly positioned and/or insufficient to have a clean shave.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: breakfast simply one of the best of my travelling. flat and garden are amazing, quiet area. the host is very kind .
Cons: u need car to get downtown. rooms have short height, bathroom as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Run by a great couple. The hospitality and homeliness are wonderful. It is about 2km from the centre but the altitude and surrounding area make it a very peaceful location. Walks around the nearby citadel are superb. The cycling in the area is also fantastic. It’s a bit of a climb at the end of the day but oh, the views!! And there will always be cold Belgian beer waiting for you in the fridge. Heaven!!
Cons: Leaving!

Pros: The view from the room and the restaurant is unique! The whole area is really nice for walks. Dominique - the manager, is always there to help and takes good care of the guests. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast is moderate, some fruits could be added.
Cons: A fridge in the room would not have been bad. We only stayed a night, so it was not a problem, but for longer vacation it would have certainly served well to chill out some drinks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking view from our room with a beautiful sunset as a bonus. Really friendly host who couldn't do enough for us and made our overnight stay very relaxing. Fabulous dinner and a great choice of beers!
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The wonderfully chilled Dominic sets the tone and pace for the entire experience. A fabulous setting with exceptional views to be admired while sipping your choice of drink on the terrace (of the restaurant or of your room). Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, as well as being spacious and airy. It was a dream to wake up to in the morning and the best night's sleep we'd had for a couple of weeks. Breakfast was bountiful and relaxed. Dominic has plenty of info about the local area (walks, places to visit, cycling etc) so it would make a great base for a few days.
Cons: Unfortunately, the internet wasn't behaving when we stayed so we couldn't log on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view, friendly and helpful staff, very good food in the restaurant
6.8 Good
Pros: It has a magnificent view and the room was very comfortable if not a bit small. Food was good but expensive . Drinks were expensive too . Common areas were not that clean, albeit weather was horrendous so maybe hard to keep clean . Room was clean and if you like dogs they have a very jolly one. Menus is fairly small , I think all is cooked fresh , just seemed a bit pricy . Breakfast was simple but excellent , great breads and cakes with eggs etc , breakfast was really very nice . Lunch menu appeared to be a more competitive offer
Cons: A little bit expensive and not near anything else .

Pros: Everything was perfect. A fantastic location, friendly host, excellent room, nice breakfast and a truly marvellous view from the balcony.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The chateau stands in beautiful grounds, lovely garden to enjoy. The room was super, really comfortable bed, tea & coffee in the room, also champagne - if you wished to pay €45! Excellent breakfast too.
Cons: Not really a criticism but we understand that the waiting staff are still training so there were a few mix-ups; this could have been partly due to our command of French being a little lacking. All the staff were polite & eager to please.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fantastic view from the breakfast room. Lots of good food options, both healthy and unhealthy! The Chateau was in a brilliant location but it was a long walk down into town. It is worth checking out the local taxi companies for a return trip before setting out! For those that want an authentic experience by the river, check out Guinguette Mobile between June and August!

Pros: The host was super friendly and went out of his way to help us check in when we arrived a lot later than planned. He also made a real effort to talk to us in English - which we really appreciated.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Alain was a very friendly and accommodating host. He drove me on 2 occasions since I had no car and was very welcoming.
Cons: I did not realise how isolated the location was and that the nearest taxi would have to be ordered from Namur for around 50 EUR, so I was even happier that Alain could give me a lift on a few occasions.

Pros: Very friendly host, I was offered a welcome drink and a guided tour of the villa. Facilities are clean, spacious and comfortable. My room had a nice view on the river and the extra bonus is the hot tub if you have your swimming suit with you! Pros: Charming host and lovely puppy! Nice breakfast but not really worth 34Euros.for two people. Would like to stay again but in a larger room if they will have me after this review!
Cons: The room was quite small. Distance between left side of the bed and the wall was minimal. TV on top of wardrobe couldn't be viewed unless you stood in bathroom! Couldn't open wardrobe because of chairs. It was difficult to find. We were guided there by a nice young man!!
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Having to wait 3 hours to get in after numerous calls to them and booking.com. Many of the advertised facilities were not there and others that were advertised were inaccessible because we were left on our own and saw no staff at any time other than the cleaner when we left.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, nice outdoor space, beautiful interior
Cons: Couldn't work the Tv
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Owner was in the property when we arrived and welcomed us to the 'Blue Room'. You need a Sat-Nav to find it as the property is down a track which is one way. If you shoot past as we did then you have to make another loop to get back again. Parking available directly opposite the property on the right. Room was comfortable. Water and drinks available at extra cost. You are able to sit outside overlooking the river. Cheap price for stay at 38 Euro.
Cons: Breakfast available but at 12 Euro each we thought too expensive so we declined. We were charged an additional 5 Euro each local tax which we hadn't expected but did find evenually on the booking confirmation. Clear window to bathroom toilet so it was necessary to draw the blind for privacy. Hadn't realised that the railway line was on the other side of the track leading to the property and the trains dis rumble and rattle the room a little. The owner didn't seem to be around in the morning as as we had pre-paid we just left. Showerhead support was broken.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms are conformtable and the staff is really nice. Scott is really cute if you like dogs.
Cons: The train is a little close so if you have a light sleep it would wake you up

Pros: Loved the location and the room with a river view. I was afraid of the rail track next door but we didn't hear it at all. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and made sure we had a great stay. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: We were staying in a suite but it was more a large room without bathtub, only a shower. The outside temperature was quite cold (below freezing point) and there was no central heating in the room, only 1 electric heater which we forgot to plug in.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good location comfy bed
Cons: Poor breakfast the ‘welcome’ was not very welcoming
6.8 Good
Pros: Could be amazing. Beautiful building with quality annex design. Now needs a little ‘touching up’ following initial conversion. Within walking distance of Namur centre but route is mixed.
Cons: Late check in. Wi-fi - I could not get it to work. No eating places nearby. Shared bathroom (although this was clearly stated)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Host is nice and forthcoming. The rooms are set up nicely with attention to detail and the facilities are clean.
Cons: Just to say something. It can be difficult to find. But thats all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great Place, owners were friendly and helpful , we had plenty of room to park our 5 motorbikes . The rooms were tidy and all facilities were there . Overall i would definitely recommend . Breakfast was basic but nice with fresh bread and coffee etc.
Cons: Location is a half hour walk to town although we didn't find it a problem i would recommend walking there and taxi back
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Secluded, peaceful, lovely building, furnishings are clean and we'll looked after. The owner is very warm and friendly.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The peace and quiet and breakfast was nice but a typical continental one. You were able to use the coffee machine and kettle in the kitchen if you wanted a drink.
Cons: The hotel is tucked away at the top of a very narrow twisting lane but the room we had was right at the top of the building and it was virtually impossible to stand upright due to the sloping ceilings. The bathroom was shared but I knew that before booking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Although basic it served our needs perfectly. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet location. Good night's sleep. Self service breakfast was adequate. Proprietor organised taxi into town for evening meal.
Cons: Obviously this is new project with some work still to do i.e electric lighting and plug sockets and some plaster boarding. This didn't worry me but might affect some guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful. Owner very friendly.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location and style if the house. Nice kitchen and sitting room. Friendly host.
Cons: Rooms are quite dusty and a little bit of painting...
Overview Reviews
This sumptuous castle dates from 1884, housing 42 rooms with breathtaking views of the forest and its 42 acres of parkland and greenery. The establishment has 2 buildings: the Grand Château and the Château Decoration has been entirely offset in 2009 by Marie's Corner, to transform this castle in a contemporary hotel with modern design. An authentic atmosphere to feel "at home" can really be felt in the castle, children play outside or in the inside playground, while the luckies parents enjoy a massage, and the most festive can take a drink on the panoramic heated terrace. The restaurant, with only with reservation, offers regional dishes and products from the farm, homemade jams, fresh juices, hot bread.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous place, beautiful surroundings, with friendly and helpful staff.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was not Well organiseer. You have to cook your own eggs and squize your own Hij de while everyone is trying to do the same thing at the same time.
Cons: Breakfast and dinner buffet
7.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast but if any busier hot food would take too long needs front staff to deal with hot food.
Cons: Room 210 a bit stuffy needs ventilation
7.5 Good
Pros: The scenery is beautiful an and also the "castle". Comfortable rooms with birds passing by the window.
Cons: We were disappointed to find out the room we were assigned was in another building with a urban style decoration with no resemblance of the castle we were expecting. The restaurant was closed on the weekend (only bar with drinks open) and there is nothing nearby. Closest restaurant miles away with a bit expensive price (A dinner for two cost the same amount as the 1 night stay)
4.5 Okay
Pros: Pretty chateau
Cons: Rooms and corridors painted dark green everything very dark and depressing. Very poor lighting in rooms. car park long way from buildings and poorly lit, food very over priced. Not enough staff on reception
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Localization. Views and inside the nature.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic, so scenic, really beautiful grounds and building.
Cons: We were in the newer building, the was no lift up to first floor, so the cases had to go up the stairs, no issue for us however others may need help..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were all great and v helpful. We liked the furnishings, smart, relaxed without being stuffy or pretentious.
Cons: The only downside, unfortunately was in the dining room the cheese board was left unprotected from the flies landing on all the lovely cheeses. Perhaps a little note to remind guests to replace the cover after use would be a nice touch.
6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful exterior and surroundings.
Cons: The road to the hotel is in a very poor condition. Parking is pretty far from the entrance to the hotel. Steep stairways inside. Ascethically furnitured room. Breakfast could be more substantial for such a price. The overall impression is that the hotel is very overpriced.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, tranquillity, charme, nature.
Cons: too late check-in, at 16.00, for a place which is not fully booked and in high season, I had to wait for some 4 hours. Also, as the high season is picking, the closure of the restaurant on Sundays is nonsense.

Pros: Beautifully restored old building in the centre of Namurs
Cons: Nothing - all good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quirky building
Cons: The bar was closed on Sunday (apparently common) No air con. Understandable given its previous role.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel clean, good rooms
Cons: Hotel was great, not keen on the town/city
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, quirky building. Jacuzzi bath. Free parking. Great location. Great air con.
Cons: Shame there was no shower- plenty of room. No shower gel supplied. No coffee/tea facilities in room. Staff not very friendly or welcoming. TV channels very limited. Could have been better. Noisy in the morning from 6am.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: No air in the room, very small window
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean space
Cons: We couldn’t check in till the afternoon after 3pm. Eventually checked in @ 11pm The room was inaccessible from a lift and the wooden stairs leading to the room were dangerous to take language. I almost fell down the stairs. Not very health and safety conscious The shower area was substantially raised from the floor with restricted space. Danger of slipping when getting out of the shower There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and roof top bar and bedrooms
Cons: Very nice building Rooms very good. Breakfast a bit overpriced for what we got.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent price--quality, because it was their cheapest and smallest room, but very big for 1 person, but maybe not suitable for tall people. Free parking and near the river.
Cons: Had to walk through many corridors and floors to get there because it was a cheap room. Basic and old furniture
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This was really a nice surprise, and old industrial building redecorated into a great hotel. It was nice to see all the brick works that had been spared. It created a nice feeling in the rooms. Our room also had a strange - in a positive way - layout, which was fun to see. The only downside to that was all the different steps you had to take. It might have been difficult for some people to stay in the room we had! The bed was good. The bathroom had a funny sauna built into it. It would have been fun to try it, but it was about 30 outside, so we did not use it!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast is outstanding. Everything is fresh and delicious. The Dinner in the Grill was also great, only the fries arrived long after the Steak. The crew was very friendly, as always! I´ll be back! :-)
Cons: My room had a wooden bar at the ceiling. For a guy below 1,90 meters no problem, for me (1,98 meters) it was. The air condition for the Grill was right under my window, what was noisy until 22:00

Pros: Staff were amazing. Very helpful. Room was lovely. Tall ceiling comfy bed and pitch black with the curtains closed
Cons: Breakfast price was a little too much @€20.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Funny swimming pool. Nice rooms. Nice bar.
Cons: Breakfast at €20pp is too expensive, especially if you have a cookie and a coffee
7.5 Good
Cons: Room 8 - No shower cabinet (enclosed shower) in the bathroom nor shower screen in the bath. The room was clean however their was a "blocked drain"/ slight sewage smell.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I got upgraded to a more spacious room. Very friendly staff (I requested 2 pm checkout and they didn't hesitate). The room comfort was absolutely fine. I usually go to Namur for poker trips and this is just next to the casino. 100% recommend (even for price!) compared to all other hotels in the area.
5.0 Okay
Cons: I did not return for the second paid night. the room offered to me was a child's room, it was tiny and it smelled bad. the hotel changed the first night but could not for the second so I did not return. Despite contacting them in advance to ask if they could cater for Vegans, and receiving a reply confirming they could. When I went to dinner I was told they could not cater for me and that I should have booked in advance - which I thought I had done.. in writing to ask in the first place. the internet did not work very well and kept dropping. As there was no attempt to cater for vegans I did not go to breakfast, I just went to work, hungry. I paid for 2 nights but stayed only for one, I will never go back here again
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is clean, comfortable and exactly below the Citadelle. Rooms are clean, quite big and well organized.
Cons: It’s not that I didn’t like it but it could be a negative point for others: the shower is separated by the room only with a glass. So you can see inside from the bed.
6.8 Good
Cons: The size of the single bedrooms is too small for a 4-star hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Free parking outside, close to Citadel which is definitely worth a visit, friendly staff. Good place to stop enroute to Italy!!
Cons: Perfect for couples although not ideal for families. No high chair available and having to pay full price for a 2 yr old to have breakfast is a bit harsh!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great design hotel at a marvelous location under the Citadel and next to the river. Nice, clean and functional room, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. A perfect stay !
Cons: -
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast was too expensive for the offer/quality and it is a shame that the offer around the sauna is so limited/expensive.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the luxurious aspect of the hotel coming from the entrance to the reception. And I equally enjoyed the modern feel of the room which is well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the air condition was so much appreciated on that warm day!
Cons: The only thing that bothered me was that it felt very warm in the gangway between the lift and the room. The price for the breakfast (which I didn't take) seems fairly expensive (about 20€ if I remember correctly).
7.5 Good
Pros: Pol the attendant on reception was very very helpful in particular but the other staff were also helpful and friendly.
Cons: Breakfast. Bit disappointing at 12 euros. Fruit juice machine didn’t work and bread rolls were stale
9.5 Excellent
Cons: I could smell second hand smoke in our non-smoking room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, right by the station. Friendly personnel. Standard, decent breakfast. Nothing to write home about.
Cons: Hotel is feeling its age a little bit, so not the latest word in cleanliness or modernity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a good location for exploring Namur. While there is no parking on the premises, parking is very close and discounted by the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed.
Cons: We were pleased with everything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely air conditioned comfy room
Cons: Parking on street felt a little insecure
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were large, air conditioning was very useful. I needed to charge my battery shaver and the staff were able to find an adapter for me. For anyone travelling by train like us the location was perfect.
Cons: The lift is tiny! You couldn't even fit 4 people with cases into it and there's only the one lift.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, just in front of the train station. Clean and modern rooms.
Cons: The check in process took forever since there was a lot of people in the reception at the time of arrival. Reception area and entrance looks outdated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good place to stay. A traditional hotel with tradititional charme. In the center of the town. Parking may be difficult. It is very quiet inside because of excellent sound isolation. And because of the name of the hotel, they try to speak a bit Flemish...
Cons: Everything OK
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect!!
