Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Made a nice change to the usual chain hotel, lots to look at. Quiet area.
Cons: I liked it
Pros: The building is fancy old villa, on a beatiful street...nice too look at! The interior is amazing, like being in a museum.
Cons: The evening time receptionist did remind me of old times. Not in a good way though. She seems to treat all customer with quite a harsh mannor, giving you orders and commands as a quest. Not very suitable in the German (polite) guest culture. The dinner was excellent, however the breakfast was a miniature version, understandable for the few guests I assume.
Pros: The style, antique
Cons: Ich liked it all
Pros: The old fashioned design of the building and decorations. The food and staff were also amazing.
Located in Zwickau, Aparthotel 1A is within a 15-minute walk of St. Marien Cathedral and Priest's House. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very clean, well organized, excellent breakfast, very central.
Cons: Fridge could be a bit bigger
Pros: Clean and comfortable room. Quiet location, near centre. Very nice hotel.
Pros: New fresh design. Very quiet at night. Water boiler for tea in the room !
Cons: Arriving Monday-evening 8:30 pm at the train station, Zwickau is very quiet indeed. Getting the room-key from a machine worked fine, is efficient, but seeing / speaking to nobody felt a little awkward. No lift in the building (as mentioned by Booking).
Pros: Our stay was great! Very clean hotel, excellent customer service and friendly staff, the room was perfect for a family with small children, the price was excellent and it was easy to find and a nice location close to the train station.
Cons: Would only suggest adding a fan in the room because it got a little stuffy with the windows closed.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Just as described. Excellent location - close to the central railway station and the city centre (approximately 15 min. on foot). The room was cleaned every day, quality of wi-fi more than I really needed.
Cons: There is nothing that I didn't like.
Pros: Good Hotel. Good location and Breakfast. Very clean and silence.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to assist in any way that the could. The rooms were clean and had all the facilities that were needed for a comfortable stay. The be breakfast was superb more than enough food and an excellent selection.Would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone.
Cons: More things with English translations for example menus and instructions in rooms. This is about all i could fault in this establishment.
Pros: Good Hotel, with all services being delivered in high level standard. Please keep it up and sustain the same level for future !
Cons: Nothing in particular.
A stay at First Inn Zwickau places you in the heart of Zwickau, steps from West Saxony University of Applied Sciences and Robert Schumann House. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Zwickau? This hotel has facilities measuring 258 square feet (24 square meters), including a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The room was very comfortable and well maintained. Euro twin beds and duvets, with comfortable pillows. The desk was well appointed for work and properly lit, decent soap and shower gel in the bathroom. The location was in the centre, 5 minutes taxi ride form the station and 10 from the industrial zone where I was working. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant exceeded my expectations and after a long day of travel, it was really great to have such a good meal. I would happily return.
Pros: I had booked this hotel twice due to my schedule. They help me out by combining both booking to one room so I would not have to move from one room to the other room. The staff was very friendly and helpful with info. The running route next to the river they have listed is very nice. The swan lake there is a nice place to enjoy and relax.
Pros: The location and the hotel restaurant
Cons: The personnel was a mixed set ...
Cons: It’s way overpriced for what it is
Cons: The staff at the service desk was not really worrying about guests (my) care and pleasure to stay in their hotel. A question of mentality, how to satisfy the upcoming needs of a customer. To expensive for the real service.
Pros: Everything was excellent.... Very big room, clean, silent rooms. Very friendly staff, great location down town of this small town. Great parking. Very easy excess by car. Many stores and restaurants in 1 minute walk. Perfect location for stopp over beetween Berlin and Salzburg.
Pros: The hotel staff combined this room with the other room I had already booked so that I would not need to change room right after checking in.
Cons: I had a very positive stay at this hotel. Nothing I didn't like.
Pros: Excellent Hotel nearby the market place of Zwickau

Pros: Everyone at the hotel was very nice and accommodating. They went over and beyond to make sure we had everything needed.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Mix of cheese, ham, salami. Fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt. Restaurant tasty, portion OK. I enjoyed beer in the "pils pub" where you can still drink your beer and smoke a cigarette inside. :-)

Pros: Extremely friendly staff. Dinner was delicious. Very nice location on countryside.
Cons: Furnishing is a bit older, but perfectly clean.
Pros: Clean, cozy small hotel. It was nice there was a restaurant inside so we could get some drinks after our long drive. The rooms were small but cosy, had everything we needed.

Cons: Please read the reviews
Pension zum Bauhof is set in Zwickau, 4.4 km from August Horch Museum Zwickau and 5 km from Concert House and Ballroom. The property is located 3.8 km from Baths Johannisbad, 4 km from Robert Schumann House and 4.2 km from Priesterhäuser Zwickau. The property is non-smoking and is situated 3.4 km from Zwickau City Museums – Art Collections. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, microwave, a kettle, a shower and a wardrobe. With a private bathroom, rooms at the guest house also feature free WiFi. At Pension zum Bauhof the rooms have a seating area. Concert House and Ballroom "Neue Welt", Zwickau is 5 km from the accommodation, while Theatre Plauen - Zwickau is 3.9 km from the property.
Pros: We (a couple in their 30-40s) have spent 2 nights in Pension zum Bauhof. This pension was the cheapest option possible in Zwickau that matched our needs, and the room had everything we needed on a short stay. The room had a fridge, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and cutlery. There was also a flat screen TV. There were enough towels and toilet paper in the bathroom. On top of the fridge, there were some teabags and candies provided for free. Heating was adjustable and worked fine, both the room and the bathroom were nice and warm. The room and the bathroom were both clean. Parking places were available right in front of the entrance doors. Check-in was easy: we did not have to actually meet anyone upon arrival or departure. We called the owner who gave us a code to a little safe located next to our apartment’s entrance door, and this safe contained the key. Papers that we had to fill out were in the room, and we had to leave the keys on the table when we left. While the pension is located on the ground floor, due to some level difference within the factory area, the windows of the room (that are located on the opposite side) are not on the ground floor, but on the first floor. Therefore you do not have to worry about people peeping in through the window when passing them – this was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: The Pension is in the middle of a factory area/plant, which we knew by checking the area on Google, but it was a little difficult to find the pension within the area (especially during the night) because there are no signs on the street telling you where to enter the factory, and even inside the factory area there is only one single sign (on a wall of a building), but it is not lit up, so we almost didn’t notice it. We arrived on a Friday, when workers were still working in the factory (there was no noise), so the streets of the plant were lit. During the weekend no one was there though, so when we went back to the Pension on Saturday night, everything was pitch dark (this area is already far from the more inhabited areas, so nothing else in the nearby was lit up either). It was rather uncomfortable and slightly creepy… we had to use our mobile phones to find our way through the inner plant streets to the apartment. If I were alone I wouldn't have felt safe at all... For travellers who do not come by car, the location is not ideal. It is a little far from the city centre, the bus that stops in front of the factory plant does not always run, and you have to walk approx. 10 minutes to reach a tram line - this, at least, is a direct connection to the city centre. The shower cabin could include a little shelf where toiletries could be put during taking a shower.
Pros: Excellent facilities: -very very comfortable beds, although they were two singles not a double like we asked. - free parking outside - a lot of space inside - clean -coffee/tea/sugar. microwave and kettle (bring your own food!) - Fairly cheap The interior of the place is great. As a room to sleep in, i cant fault it. If you a passing through and just want somewhere to lay your head before moving on, its ideal , assuming you can find it.
Cons: Bad points - no reception - You have to call them once you arrive, find out which is your room number and get a code to open the door. This could be a ball ache for people with no phone/battery. They also spoke exclsuively German, which made life a lot harder for someone with 20 years ago school boy German like me. We only become aware of there being no reception after booking. -it's in the middle of an industrial estate and difficult to find. Outside, you would never suspect it as being accomodation if there wasnt a sign.. Sat Nav and Google Earth couldnt find it and I eventually found it via a sign at the side of a road telling us to enter part of the industrial estate. - Heating left off when temperature outside was in the minus', it was an ice box on entry. Fortunately the place warmed up fast as the radiator was big.
Pros: beautiful big room and bathroom, very clean. has kettle microwave and fridge and very quiet
Cons: a little hard to find - we drove past a couple of times until we realised in was in an industrial area. Sadly we could not connect to the phone number we had to phone on arrival but luckily a kind gentlemen staying made the call for us and got the code for the key lock box so that we could get into our room
Pros: Comfortable, clean and quiet.
Cons: A small sink would be really handy.

Pros: Nice , location and clean rooms and very friendly staff
Pros: surprise dessert was nice
Cons: 10,- per night per dog is too much
Pros: Spacious apartment, very nice restaurant with great food, very calm surroundings.
Pros: Lots of space in the holiday house at Fischerhof. Although bit further from Sachsenring than hoped the setting was good and property well set up. Restaurant best steak ever had & great fresh fish dishes. Just doesn’t stay open long enough.
Cons: Doorways bit low for the over 6 foot crowd. Few heads bumped. Generator or air con units outside the property very noisy, glad had earplugs with us.
Located in Zwickau, Hotel Park Eckersbach is within a 5-minute drive of Zwickau City Museum and Johannisbad Zwickau. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: All good! The service and attentions was really good
Pros: The hotel was in a quiet area, it was close to the area I needed, hence I booked it but could be a little far out if you're looking to stay nearer to the centre if town. The room was small yet clean and neat with a nice view and helpful information about the room, hotel and city and bathroom was nice. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and welcoming even if their english wasn’t prefect.
Cons: I would have preferred to have more hot foods at breakfast like sausages, bacon or eggs.
Cons: I did not like that the staff does not speaks english.
Pros: hotel and room were very clean and comfortable staff tried very hard to please even though English is limited would stay there again
Pros: Hotel was exactly as described and extremely accommodating, breakfast was good and the bar and patio area very nice. I didn't eat there so can not comment on the evening food, but I saw others that were dining and food looked very nice.
Cons: Bed was a bit flat, but ok.
Set in a historic building, this stylish hotel is located in the heart of Zwickau. It offers its very own restaurant and modern accommodation with free WiFi access. Hotel Alte Münze features spacious rooms with contemporary furnishings. Each is complete with a flat-screen TV and a private terrace. Breakfast is offered at the accommodation. A brewery restaurant located directly across the street serves tasty and rustic meals with self-brewed beer and schnaps. Nearby attractions include the Robert Schumann Museum and August Horch Museum. Golf lovers will find Zwickau Golf Club is just 3 km from Hotel Alte Münze. A limited number of private parking spaces are available on site, but there is a public parking garage just a 2-minute walk away.
Pros: wow the bath giant able to watch TV from bath. impressive. ps. Top hotel.
Pros: Reception after check-in time available in the nearby restaurant. No espresso for breakfast. Rooms without AC. For similar money we stayed in Kempinski Dresden a day before.
Pros: The Alte Muenze - the old mint - are not printing money anymore! They have spent a lot however in making the place modern and attractive, and one does have the comfort of being right in the middle of this (interesting) old town.
Cons: It is a little pricey.
Pros: It was clean
Cons: The property entrance was unsanitary. It smelled of sweat. The staff was not accommodating at first . Not enough people working there I feel. It is way overpriced ... seriously 119 Euro? For this ?
Pros: Amazing old style hotel from the front located on the town square. However room we had was in a new building at the back and was superb. Loved the modern shower room. Superb inclusive breakfast in the basement room which has been very tastefully modernised and decorated.
Cons: It took an hour to get to the hotel once we arrived in Zwickau. This was partly due to the market and street works in the town square blocking the way the SatNav was telling us to go. The SatNav directions finally gave up entirely. Eventually we parked the car and walked to the hotel for directions. They owner sent one of the staff to go with us to the car and direct us to the back of the hotel and where we could park in the back street which was a no through road. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! No aircon in room; so it wads very hot and as we had the church clock chiming every hour through the night we had to keep the windows closed to be able to sleep.
Pros: Super modern rooms Very comfy beds Super clean Great location in the middle of town yet quiet Nice breakfast
Cons: Reception hours very limited and directions to key pickup was unnecessarily complicated Would have preferred being given address to back entrance and client parking lot which would have made life a lot easier
Pros: Great location, near the center of the town Modern and clean room Breakfast- so many choices! Nice staff at the reception, fluent English is a huge plus!
Cons: Parking was not big enough Check in after 3pm- not so convinient, you can pick up the key in the Gasthaus nearby
Pros: nice , clean room , comfortable bed
Pros: The breakfast was good, the accommodations were great, and the location within the city was perfect. Check in was a little hectic because it was after their normal hours, but it was still overall, great.
Cons: The only complaint I have with the stay is the Wi-Fi. The place promises wifi but it simply did no deliver. It would work for anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes and then just drop off. Nothing I did would get it back initially, however it would return 2 - 3 hours after I forgot the connection, restarted my computer and reconnected, only to receive another burst of 10 - 30 minutes of connectivity. While under any other circumstances this would be a mild annoyance, I was in the process of trying to complete some work and I was not able to. At the end of the stay, I was glad I had not extended it by one more day because of this issue.
Pros: It was opposite. Brauhaus
Cons: No reception staff. No instructions in English on where to collect keys. No one gave us the wi fi code. The room was clean but absolutely stank of tobacco smoke
Located in Crimmitschau, Hotel Mauritius im Sachsenland is within a 5-minute drive of Bismarck-Hain and West Saxon Textile Museum. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location at city center.
Cons: The toilet in the room was not really clear after the previous guest. The parking is a disaster. The staff does not speak English. When I wanted to leave I was blocked for 1 hour. While the hotel was having their breakfast. They said, they could not do anything about it. It’s my problem. They have their own private parking place, but do not register wich car belongs to which guest. I had to push the horn for 10 minutes, when the owner finally started to seek for the owner of the car blocking me! I do not reccomand to this place.
Pros: Family run hotel with feeling of small city. Rooms not absolutelly new ones but bathrooms well renovated.
Cons: It is not negative but be prepared for really small city, which could make you feel boring. Any way - for those who liked this kind of atmosphere, it could be great relax.
Pros: Great price for large room. Middle of the town and. Easy access to shops and restaurants. We were on the way to Chemnitz and it is really near our destination.
Pros: OUR STAY WAS WONDERFUL! WE GOT TO SEE MY SON PLAY HOCKEY. WE HOPE TO BE BACK IN MARCH FOR PLAYOFFS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Cons: COFFEE MUGS IN THE BEDROOM TO GO DOWN AND GET EARLY MORNING CUP!

Pros: Good Wi-Fi, kind personnel
Cons: Looks, like photos are not from actual state, breakfast not so wide for given price, not very clear, where exactly is your room.
Pros: Very nice hotel surroundings, reach breakfast buffet, big room
Pros: Old Schloss in very pleasant surroundings.
Cons: Strong smell of cigarettes in many areas and dirty ashtrays on display everywhere.
Pros: Nice, clean rooms, enough space in the room. Clean and well lit bathroom. Good breakfast, but it had to be paid extra. Good value for money, would recommend to anybody. My colleague also tested and liked sauna very much. Terrific surroundings, fabulous castle.
Cons: No WiFi signal in my room. Chairs in the room not comfortable. Breakfast has to be paid extra, quite expensive (opposite to the room price).
Pros: Environment, ambiance,
Cons: A/C missing
Pros: Location and the facility
Cons: Nothing to mention
Pros: Comfortable beds, very nice surroundings, tasty breakfast
Cons: The restaurant atmosphere on the evening wasn’t cozy, the music was absolutely inadequate.. The waitress was very helpful and nice but we had some small misunderstanding with the meal and wine, because of language. Indeed I don’t know if we can name the place as restaurant where isn’t possible to get the information about the wine and even get snacks to it... in general the stay was good with some experience:)
Pros: The location was great and breakfast was good.
Cons: The chairs in the room was dirty. The shower was dirty and can you talk my foot on the sink hole with two sharp screws sticking up. When I mentioned it they said they will get it fixed but no apology and did not even ask if I wanted any first aid !
Pros: Very nice old castle, with modern rooms.
Cons: Location is a bit remote, but not a big deal
Cons: The rooms are too old and the building is a bit caothic because is very big. Also if it rains you get wet to move from the reception to the rooms or to the restaurant.

Pros: We visited the Car Museum in Zwickau, and my son was thrilled to see a real Trabant in the lobby. The room was clean, the staff was nice, so it was a good experience:)
Pros: Great slection with fresh food for breakfast. The rooms are clean. The double bed is comfortable (but 2 single mattresses).
Cons: My room was pretty noisy: it was located above the main entrance, as there is no AC in the rooms, I had to sleep with open window, where I heard the other guests talking (while smoking) under my window and the traffic on the street. The staff is very nice, but they couldn´t print my invoice over night (from the last night until the check out morning), however this is what we agreed on... The rooms are ok, but not 4* equipped. All in all I don´t find the price in line with the service.
Pros: All was good
Pros: it is a bit far off the center. But the house is excellant.
Pros: Restaurant was exceptional
Cons: Extra pillows would be good and mini bar or fridge please
Pros: All was cool: the hotel is a bit far from the centre but when travelling by car you never notice this little inconvenience. The staff is super friendly and we have particularly enjoyed the restaurant.
Cons: No ventilation in the bathroom
Pros: Good business hotel with a good restaurant, but nothing fancy.
Cons: All in all quite basic, but clean and a good bed. Rooms do not have aircon.
Pros: Right by the motor way Spacious parking lot Delicious breakfast Large room Kind and helpful people Worth everything!!
Pros: Good breakfast, comfortably beds, clean rooms.
Cons: Very bad smell in the room.
Pros: Good feather blanket. Friendly staff, generally quiet. I cannot say anything bad about my stay. If you go by car, there is parking available and the neighborhood is not a place you have to worry about vandals. It is not too far from the train station. It is further to walk into the city but not extremely far. The staff were Very accommodating.
Cons: I was on the third floor and there is no elevator. No pub close by. If you like lots of people it is not for you. I often felt like the only guest but I did see and hear others on occasion. Personally I liked the quiet.
Pros: Cleanliness and location
Cons: I had to leave early and so missed my breakfast!
Pros: The hotel is near to the train station,7 minutes on food and the city centre is approximately 20 minutes on food. The staff were quite friendly.
Cons: There was not an air conditioning and the refrigerator was not working.

Pros: Very clean and modern room and bath.
Cons: It would be nice to be able to make tea or coffee in the room.
Pros: The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make everything comfortable.
Cons: There was no hair dryer in the room, I had to ask for it. But I did not realize that until AFTER I took a shower the first morning and could not dry my hair before going to the Office. Normally, hair dryers are in the room.
Pros: A very comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff spoke no English but this did not detract from our stay as the communication gap was overcome by patience on both sides. The room was large and the shower excellent. There was free parking for our motorcycle. The hotel is located on the edge of a small village and it is peaceful and quiet. The restaurant had a limited menu but the food was delicious and well priced.
Cons: Only one thing. Smoking is allowed just outside the main entrance meaning you are forced to inhale second hand cigarette smoke when you enter and leave. Smokers should consider non smokers and move away from the main entrance when smoking.
Pros: Nice, quiet rooms
Cons: Just one WiFi per person, only with code from reception desk...

Free newspapers and magazines can also be found in the breakfast room. Tickets for Zwickau’s public transport can be purchased at the Hotel Merkur’s reception.
Pros: Great location. I read comments about this being dated. In my opinion, that doesn't tell the story of accommodation. Everything about the location was quality, furniture, properly branded stuff such as coat hangers, paper etc. Nothing was cheap and nasty. Quality accommodation, a nod to a past age but not due dilapidation.
Cons: No Wi-Fi, although that's made clear when you book and I had plenty data to access the Internet - it's strange in the day and age.
Pros: Clean room, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Limited options for breakfast, mainly cooked breakfast
Pros: Pretty basic but clean and inexpensive hotel within a 10 minutes walk from the historic town center. You can see that it is quite old but it's also quite well maintained. Good enough for a sleepover.
Pros: It was spotless. The owner was always at hand and proudly explained the family history of the hotel. The dining room is still in the style of the 1920s and it was like sitting in an Agatha Christie film.
Cons: No free WiFi.
Pros: Old hotel located close to the railway station and Club Seilerstraße. Very clean, comfortable beds, nice owners. I was a bit worried about noise coming from the street (got room with window located to the main street) but trams operates to 5 PM only and the street is quiet at nights. Breakfast is also good.
Cons: Breakfast is until 10 AM only, I'd appreciate if it was until 11 AM after a night party (well I haven't asked, maybe it was my fault) :-)
Pros: The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. They were also very helpful with general local information. the rooms were nice, simple, and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again
Cons: The only complaint that I have is their power sockets were in unfortunate locations. There was no second one by the desk for a laptop.
Pros: The Host was really polite.
Cons: There was no WiFi in the Hotel.
Pros: The staff are very kind and very cooperative
Cons: It is OK, just it was the time of renovation and the outside view was not good
Pros: Friendly and helping staff. Clean everywhere.
Cons: Seems old. Can use some fresh-up. New carpets / furniture. .
Pros: Well, when you are in a positive mood, you can call the hotel nostalgic... (more than 100 years old and for example the breakfast room looks pretty 1920ies)
Cons: ...but having a room that smells and looks like renovated last in 60/70ies, makes you feel less positive...

Pros: Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Public transportation 100m from hotel.
Pros: I have stayed in may different cities in Germany. This is one of my favorite hotels, because my room had a big bathroom with a bathtub!
Pros: It's the fourth time I've stayed in this hotel & the staff are super helpful, the location is ok for the small station we use but a fair walk into town.
Cons: The checkout issue was a difference between my booking & the hotels booking...the same reference number but two different prices. fortunately we weren't in a big rush to leave.
Pros: Great hotel. Restaurant available until 11. Good for one night
Pros: This is a nice hotel, great for a business trip - comfortable room and great personnel. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Nice free parking. Very close to everything in Zwickau. The historical centre is very charming! A must-see!
Pros: Helpful staff, enough parking places
Cons: Wi-Fi is tragic, I was not able to do almost anything. I received room, where entry card not working, I need to return to reception 3 times, until I get another room. Althrough I have dinner in my accomodation, I was in hotel restaurant (italian style) only once - staff speaks only Italian or German, they not understand, menu was only in German language. Food was tasty, but there was communication problems. So, for that money and place, it was not totally worth it.
Cons: Receptionist didn't have have information that the dinner was included. At the end, I didn't get the dinner, although I show the confirmation from booking.com. Also, they didn't know how much did I paid.
Pros: Room was very clean, surroundings semed calm and silent, we easily found a parking place.
Cons: We did not take breakfast, as it was for 13 EUR price for a person, seemed too expensive.

Make use of our Wi-Fi access free of charge and start the day by enjoying our delicious breakfast buffet. Free parking is available adjacent to the hotel.
Pros: very close to VW Zwickau Werk
Cons: the equipment in the room is quite old. Very simple.
Pros: The bathroom (!) was a portable cabin that you find in festivals and events.
Cons: The bathroom!
Pros: The staff and the madam at reception were very helpful and very nice.
Cons: The chair inside the room is totally uncomfortable to set on and work on your laptop or any desk work that requires setting down for an hour or so. I hope the hotel would change it.
