Excellent room and a first class restaurant. Good off street parking. Easy walk to town. The clock on the town gate (The Cow Gate!) does continues chiming into the night!
The bathroom was excellent The trash can still had stuff from the previous occupant
Staff is nice and welcoming, the room was clean and big, the bathroom had a rather big shower, the beds were very confortable. The breakfast is nice and no one is rushing you even if you are still there before 11am. Maybe it's not only related to this hotel in particular, but I find it very difficult to get a double bed and not twin beds, although I always mention it in the reservation. Is it something normal in NL ?
Goof facilities and complementary fruit etc. Staff helpful about cycle storage.
we were put into a better room as we were staying for 6 nights which was lovely - but I would not have stayed in the standard room The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and I would recommend this hotel to other people Towels were short once or twice and english tea bags forgotten every day
Enkhuizen is a small town. The hotel is in a good location and has everything necessary for a good stay. Rooms are clean, bed comfortable and breakfast is varied.
Very nice place, friendly staff, very nice town.I'd defnitely recommend it to friends. The phone/internet system was malfunctioning, but I understand that this was a temporary problem.
The original tipes of rooms
car parking facilities We felt as if we were staying at a 'sleep factory'. There was no warm welcome, smiling service etc. We will not stay there again
Lovely hotel by the Marina The town is very quiet at this time of year but busy in summer. Hotel staff and rooms are very good. Decent breakfast with a fixed evening menu during my stay. Recommended.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant food in the evening was very good although a little bit expensive. Breakfast was excellent, set us up for the day. Great location in the town, handy for shops and walks. No bad point
The location was superb and the advice from staff regarding free parking etc. was unsolicited and very useful. Even gave us a parking disc for our onward journey. Breakfast good and superb setting. The room fridge was not effective.
Good size room with view onto harbour. Room and facilities were clean. Stay was slightly spoiled one night due to couple next room arguing all night. We had a room with inter-connecting doors, which means reduced sound proofing
Nice position near to the harbour
the hotel staff are always very helpful and freidly
Great location in the centre of an attractive small town. Convenient for exploring town and surrounding countryside. Our room faced the canal, great for watching the boats, some large and some very small, go by.
Friendly helpful staff No night porter and with a late flight made it difficult to get in
Unlike the hotel rooms in the larger cities on our European tour, the rooms here were spacious, well appointed, and quiet! And the newly renovated bathrooms were absolutely luxurious!
A very comfortable hotel with excellent service, and situated in a prime position overlooking the waterway.
Location delightful in Enkhuizen and proximity to Zuiderzee museum, plus the charming sounds of the church clocks. Attractive hotel, clean and comfortable.
Location near the harbour Room not ready when arriving Church clocks ringing every quarter of an hour, also during the night
location. lighting in bathroom was not very good. electric outlet was not sufficient for our computer which did not work in Enkhuizen but everywhere else we went. I need to keep windows open for air at night as i did not find any ac in the rooms and then we had too much street noise.
Friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. Cosy place. Centrally situated within walking distance to the whole town. Maybe need some fresh up of the rooms, but on the other band the old atmosphere is part of the style!
It was a pleasant bright room. More information should be made in available in the lobby for tourists in the area. Example a samll map with the location of various interesting sites in the twon would have been appreciated.
The smell of used oil throughout the hotel lobby, the kitchen is at the side of the lobby and the door is always open. The kitchen does not look very clean.....
Position, breakfast, facility to book. The hotel should preventing the air passing under doors, installing draft excludor.
Location Soundproof of walls
It was the perfect location for anyone interested in boats right beside the old harbour. We also appreciated the friendliness of the staff.
Brilliant place, felt a bit like a luxury tent. People sooo friendly with personal touch, free wifi. Great breakfast served to your doorstep in a box. Right next to a working farm, lots of friendly cows mooing along :). Would stay there again without hesitation. A bit too much overlooked by the other cottages but that seems to be the way the Dutch like it in general
We chose these lodgings for an overnight stay as we were visiting my niece who has a neighboring farm. The accommodations are in a series of small and very modern little A frame buildings in a meadow on a real live working dairy farm. You are brought a very nice breakfast in a clever insulated box. We enjoyed the farm atmosphere and the unusual design, but feel you must have your own transportation. We had a rental car, which was perfect.
the quiet, the scenery, pleasant kindly behaviour from whole neighbourhood, a taste of life as it should be. Easy access to rural villages, canals, the sea, lovely country lanes . The farming family as Restinn kept the place immaculate for visitors, even after the cows had to be brought in during the very wet, muddy weather. I thought the car parking was to restricted. As retired people we do not find reversing in tight areas as easy as we used to. It was also rather a long way from the cabins, especially when it was very wet.
Hotel staff extremely helpful and accommodating in all aspects, Cannot fault the chalets and location Thank you for a memorable stay
I stayed at Het Roode Hert with my fiancee and my daughter back in February, and I came back to the same hotel, this time alone to be with my daughter while she had an operation. Again the staff were wonderful, when I explained to Robin that I would miss breakfast as I had to leave the hotel at 5:30am, they packed a breakfast bag to take with me! This pretty much sums up the service. They are polite, helpful, and look to make the stay as pleasant as possible. There are minus points, the stairs are very steep and the rooms are basic (but en-suite), but the food is great and the prices are excellent. There are several other hotels in the area I could try, but I love this place and will stay there again in the future!
Very nice patient place with historical atmosphere.
very friendly staff
Hotel is situated out of noise of Amsterdam. Quiet and beautiful place. The restaurant is designed in north tradional king style, it looks like very expensive. The room is old. and looks simple, but reasonable for its price.
The excellent 4star restaurant and helpful friendly staff. nothing
Convenience to Enkhuizen and other towns in Noord Holland. Skimpy breakfasts.
We ate in the Restaurant on the first night and had a superb meal.
The car parking was good, the breakfast was ample and the pub was atmospheric and relaxed This was a pub with a few rooms it was not a hotel. The rooms were the most basic I have ever stayed in and I shall not be returning
What a fabulous hotel and what a great find! The rooms are small, comfortable and more than adequate, but the public areas are quite simply stunning. The resturant is absolutely fantastic with perfectly cooked and very well presented meals. The reception I received from the owner was second to none, and I was made to feel very welcome. A great place to stay.
it was correct cause we stayed just one night the breakfast room smelt cook odor for the day before
The bathroom was clean and the staff was friendly & helpful. The internet connection was good and fast. Breakfast could be improved a little.
The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. There was no lift for heavy bags (alas, a hazard of traveling, I suppose)
Very pleasant hosts and staff. Restaurant looked good but a little pricey for my po cket(and appetite). Poor drainage in shower room. Poor room lighting, Partly because central ceiling lamp non-functioning. Should be checked before guest arrives.
Very convenient location.
The room was clean and the shower was excellent. The food in the Chinese restuarant downstairs was above average. Our room was dreary. The lighting was very dim, a tree blocked the view from the window and the wallpaper border was peeling off. The breakfast was the most minimal I have ever experienced in The Netherlands.
The hotel staffs were helpful. The location was excellent, it is very closed to the station and easy to get the centre of the city!
staff were very friendly internet connection was very very poor
Nice quiet location. Good restaurant. Helpful staff.
Breakfast was good. Traffic noise of youngsters on bikes and cars in the early hours of the morning (2am!) was a nuisance. Our room was on the front of the hotel. Smell of smoke pervaded the hotel even though smoking was restricted.
It was Quiet, clean, Good breakfast, and had a helpful staff. All in all I really did enjoy the stay there :o) That there was allowed smoking in the bar.
The hotel staff was very nice - giving us a locked space for our bicycles overnight. Since there are two comparable properties right next to each other, with a E 14 per night difference, we did not feel that this hotel was a better value. We would have preferred the other hotel, but your website said it was full, although since this hotel was mostly empty, that seems unlikely. Also, the lobby area had a stale, smoky smell, which is not appealing. The room was fine.
There was no fuss
