Location, cleanliness, pool, Bartender was REALLY slow, and when I asked the front desk for a re-print of my receipt from dinner the night before, she told me she couldn't do it, and didn't offer to figure it out. She did tell me to have a nice day...
My 9 year old son and I went for two nights and had a great time. We loved the room it was clean and comfortable. We spent many hours in the pool which was also clean and just a neat room. We ordered room service for dinner both nights and the food was delicious. We had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and it was also perfect. Overall we would definitely return to this hotel or others in the chain!
Most everything. Fun to have Starbucks right there and the Mall across the street. Toilet clogged before retiring and we were too tired to call the front desk. It made the morning unpleasant to have a clogged toilet. I'm sure they would have fixed it right away but we were only there for the night and checked out early. That's our only complaint.
Overall the room was great. It was very clean and the staff was nice. The walls however are very thin and we could hear our neighbors that kept us up through the night.
I liked the freezer/fridge and microwave in the room. The breakfast was really good No
comfortable, good location, friendsly, good breakfast No
Nothing special. Room smelled like smoke even though it said nonsmoking.
traveled from Central MA to visit brother that was in town on business. The hotel was nice, the lobby was welcoming and the staff was very nice to me and my family. Even with a full breakfast crowd, the food was never empty. Across the street from Maine Mall, 15 minutes from the Children's Museum, minutes from the freeway. Our room was nice and inviting, except the heater/ac unit ran all night long and was noisy. We put the temp at 68 and it would blow hot, then blow cold to balance...annoying. The arm chair had a decent size stain on it and the tray table had sticky, stale jelly on half of it. Besides that, I would stay there again.
Nothing Fire alarm at 1:30am no staff around to assist with anything pretty much left on our own freezing outside to only leave because we were then completely awake. Pillows are so small they would be perfect for a toddler not a king sized bed overall worst stay ever
Reasonable/ handy to airport with shuttle exterior entry door broken, carpet rolls in hallway, small bath, poor lighting, poor breakfast.
Absolutely fine "economy" stay near airport for an early departure. Clean. Polite and helpful staff. A bit hard to adjust temperature. The towels are like sandpaper but clean and do the job.
Good wake up call and nice shuttle to the airport at 4:00 a.m. The window was unlocked which is scary for a single female. It did lock however when I tried.
The rooms and beds were comfortable enough. Price is good, compared to a lot of the available AirBnbs in Portland (which were getting out of control). - Found a dying stinkbug in the bathroom. - The walls were cracking, could use a touch-up. - Look, I know this is a budget hotel, so I shouldn't expect much in the way of amenities, but don't tell me you have a fitness center when all you have is a steamy room with 2 treadmills and a stationary bike, all of which are broken. I probably would have given 3 stars if they just got rid of the fitness center all together.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable! The bathroom was kind of small for a king size room!
Location is great. Cost is great. Nice to have a breakfast included. Kids enjoyed the small pool. Rooms very small
We were placed in a wing of rooms far from the front desk. After check-in and eating dinner at Chilis next door, we returned to go to sleep about 10:00pm. Not long after, we heard commotions in the hall, yelling, foul language, slamming of doors. The young men involved spoke like ex-cons. This went on for several hours. Someone complained, after several mgr. visits, things finally quieted down by 2:30am or so. At one point we thought they would break into our room!! This was the start of our 2-week vacation !!!
Room was small, bath miniscule. Overall aging motel. Needs a lot of work. Door did not close properly. Noise from hallway penetrated the room. The rate for the second day of the stay was exorbitant for the quality of the room. Central location was about the only positive. See previous answer
The breakfast was excellent. Close to the restaurants and shopping and the interstate. Price was so so. Room was ok but not the cleanest. Garbage can from previous occupants wasn't emptied. Internet connection was atrocious and unreliable. A business person with a laptop would be terribly disappointed. Room wasn't worth 125.00 dollars for Friday night. The 71.00 for Thursday would have been more appropriate. The breakfast was the one bright spot in the whole experience.
Convenient location It can be noisy beginning in the wee hours of the morning by folks leaving to make early flights out of Boston. I was woken about 2am this visit.
Great staff. Great Breakfast. Awesome solar power array! They were doing more renovations to make the place even nicer. Not a five star resort. But great value.
The management and staff is great. They will try to help you in any way. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Good location. It is suppose to be a non-smoking hotel but it is NOT. Its price and location and the failure of South Portland laws leave the very kind management of this hotel vulnerable to clients who refuse to honor the smoking ban. They smoke in their rooms and then argue about the extra charge. The smoke right outside their rooms non stop and the smoke fills the entire hotel with choking smoke. Worse the get a level of migrant workers doing construction at this hotel who appear to think the hotel's balconies are there to hang out, smoke and drink. In essence at times the hotel has a rather shady look to it, BUT it is not. My wife is uncomfortable walking this maze of guys smoking drinking and loitering.
