Pros: Beautiful gardens and building - Maria was a wonderful host - great breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Maria, our host, was lovely and committed to ensuring that we were comfortable. The building and gardens are beautifully kept, and more impressive than the photos convey. My son enjoyed exploring the acres of gardens and searching for animals. The room was warm and comfortable, the bed a delight and Maria’s attention to detail meant that all we needed was at hand. The breakfast was beautifully cooked. Food, including gluten free snacks, were thoughtfully made available throughout the day. Port and coffee could also be enjoyed at the fireplace, or one of a selection of DVDs to be watched in the room. Thanks Maria for a wonderful stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attention to detail was superb. The location was brilliant. Hosts were fantastic
Cons: Nothing at all
5.8 Okay
Pros: Historic building was nice.
Cons: Check-in felt like an interview. Too much info we didn’t particularly want to hear - and it was verbatim (heard the next guests get exactly the same spiel). A big deal was made about all of the extras - cheese platter, chocolates, home made biscuits, Country eggs and bacon to cook for breakfast, loaf of home made bread, locally made complimentary port. Reality was - a beautiful loaf of bread, stale biscuits, mouldy cheese that was inedible, and port straight out of a DeBertoli cask. As for the eggs and bacon - who knows - when we went to cook at 5:30 in morning (had to lleave early to catch boat) the hot plates didn’t work - so we had to purchase breakfast on the way. Informed owner later and asked for a credit on bill to cover the breakfast that couldn’t be had - the answer was NO - we were told we should have woken them up and they could have fixed the problem. Come on ..... would a reasonable person do that?? So all in all a disappointing end and a relatively expensive stay - don’t be fooled by the well staged welcome folks - it wasn’t backed up with quality or customer focussed attitude on behalf of the owners.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was everything we thought it would be
Cons: there was nothing to dislike
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host is a very nice couple and they even baked a freshly bread for us. The room is cozy and beautifully decorated with lots of details. The location is excellent and just a min ride to the town. The dinning recommendation , a Resturant at Emperor Hotel’ from the host is perfect and we could even get a free welcome drinks just by showing our room key to the waiter. In the nutshell, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved absolutely everything. The hosts were fantastic, the suite we had was stunning and the little touches they delivered were fantastic. We had home made chocolates, cheese and biscuits, bacon and eggs in fridge and were then surprised with home baked bread. Will certainly visit here again

Pros: Comfy bed warm room
Cons: When they banged on the door at 950am to make sure we were out of the room by 10am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and location
Cons: There’s no lift
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Comfy bed, large bathroom .
Cons: No bedside tables, only 1 hanging space on back of door .
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was cosy with a great neutral decor, nice little touches and the bed was very comfortable. The self-use facilities in the Lounge were great and it was really handy to have access to a Fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave as well as laundry facilities. The rear car park made it very easy for bringing luggage through and the proximity to the main street with shops and restaurants was great. Staff were also very friendly.
Cons: The location of my room and the noise made by other people staying at the hotel, particularly after the Bar had closed. There was NO consideration whatsoever by other parties to be quiet when coming upstairs, walking past other rooms, using the shared bathrooms/toilets or the lounge area. Every time someone walked out of the lounge, their room or the bathroom they just let the door slam behind them without further thought. They would talk loudly, yell and laugh at the top of their voice so from 1000 - 0100 I was awakened constantly. If I had $1 for every time I heard the "F" word or the "C" word I'd be rich! They seemed to enjoy standing outside the Lounge entrance (near Rm 1) discussing their antics from the evening. As my room was directly opposite the shared bathroom I also got to enjoy men doing their business with the bathroom door wide open!! I accidentally walked out at the wrong time (can't unsee that) plus I could hear everything else on other occasions! I should've asked if shared facilities were specified Male and Female however unfortunately they weren't which was evident by the messy toilet bowl the next morning. Great hotel for 'blokes' or heavy sleepers but not for someone who is a light sleeper and has a long drive the next day. There is also a train that comes through late at night and again very early that is ridiculously LOUD with it's whistle blowing (not the Hotel's fault) and the noise made by drunken patrons leaving the venue also didn't help trying to sleep. As someone who enjoys a dark room to sleep in, it would be handy to have blockout curtains on the windows to shut out the street light directly outside the window which obviously remains on all night but shines through the sides of the blind. As it was often difficult to get access to the shared bathroom, a mirror in the bedroom would be handy for females so we can get on with our Hair and Makeup.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location esp to watch Anzac service from balcony. Tea and coffee etc provided, teatowels and a dishwasher to do our dishes and new microwave, toaster and sandwich maker to make quick meals.
Cons: There were no hooks or wardrobe to hang our clothes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we stayed was spacious and clean. Each bed has electrical heating mat keeping us warmer also plus 2 extra heaters in the room. Additionally, the staff are friendly and helpful. We are thankful for them to update our rooms, wait for us cuz of late check-in!
Cons: If we have to say, it might be the tea and coffee supply. There isn’t enough tea bags in the shared lounge area. Especially we went there in a non-peak time, which means there are not many ppl there but it still runs out of the tea bags. So I guess we better off keeping those necessary food supplies as many as the half of jar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helen was amazing, so kind and welcoming! Our room was beautiful and clean with a gorgeous view. I wish we had of arrived earlier so we could eat in the restaurant (we arrived at midnight). A gorgeous building, we shall be back. Thanks so much!
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely area in a very nice town.
Cons: A little table & a couple of chairs would have been nice in the room.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing! The security doors were broken and banging all night! Only heat in the room was a small space heater to cold! Shared bathrooms were alway full not enough hot water!
Cons: Everything! No elevator, noisy and dirty, spider webs in the windows back stairs cover with plants. No security lights on the back stairs, rude staff when we complained. Said w/d but staff left it full of wet laundry, said we could only use it at nice. Will never stay there again, will put this review out everywhere!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My bed was very very comfy, and the food in cycles cafe was excellent far exceeded my expectations but what made my stay memorable was the staff, all of them were so lovely and helpful and very friendly
Cons: The coffee cups being white porcelain were stained a good soak in bleach now and again would have been appreciated a few of the cups looked so bad that it was off putting and the top floor provisions water for kettle could have been supplied more regularly but this could have been other guests using more than their share and these were only tiny tiny things, and a kettle and tea and coffee service in the rooms would have been appreciated but as I said very minor things
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good, everything need to get started for the day
