We stayed here while visiting our daughter who is studying medicine in Grenada. The reviews i read were pretty accurate. The location is excellent we stayed in room 207 with oceanfront views on the second floor. The Resort has been recently renovated and my daughter who has been in Grenada for a year was of the opinion that this place was "run down" but when visiting us was pleasantly surprised at the caliber of the rooms and service! Staff was generally good The manager Richard was excellent and took care of any problems with service. We did not have the all inclusive option and did not eat breakfast at the pricey buffet ($58 pp). We had dinner at the bar area once and the service was horrendous but to compensate the service was excellent at the same location. There was a server by the name Garland who was not very professional and bordering on callous. But Richard (the manager) took care of it. All the other staff was absolutely top notch!! Grenadians are generally very friendly and have the most beautiful and genuine smile!
Great location on Grand Anse Beach, with a supermarket across the street. Staff generally were extremely pleasant and helpful. Very limited meal options, subpar food. Open sewer running through middle of the property. Lack of hot water my first morning. Old style motel. Two-story walk up. Open hallways. Many rooms under renovation. Renovated rooms are Spartan but clean and functional. Don't know why rooms had a day bed in them, a total waste of space. Nighttime security seemed iffy. Extremely limited TV stations, 27 cnannels total. CNN Intl or BBC for news.
Location, cleanliness, rooms. Great shower! Extra 15% service charge on every purchase in addition to tax? And then u feel guilty to also do 18% gratuity.. Not worth eating there snd be ready for tge 15% service charge to ur room as well Also need some work on the staff
Rooms were clean. Staff very friendly and well-trained and willing to help. Check in and check out very smooth. Accommodated late check out (6 pm). Nice continental breakfast. Beautiful beachfront. Lovely views and grounds.
bugs, lizards cockroaches etc. Will never stay here again
Good location Not impressed with on site restaurant Not much choice for vegetarian
The Radisson has one of the best locations on Grand Anse beach. We stayed here while visiting our daughter who is a student at St. George's Med School. The hotel is only 10 minutes from campus and close to the airport, shopping and lots of restaurants. Our room, 311, was on the first floor, facing the pool. It was very convenient to walk out our sliding glass door and into the pool area. The beach is only a few steps away. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and teapot. The bed was very comfortable and the decor was clean and modern. Since we came in the "wet season", we were able to get a room for under $200/night. Similar hotels, like the Cobaya, where much more expensive. The pool bar was under construction (the last piece of a complete refurbishment of the facility). Can't wait to visit again when it is complete.
Beautiful beach, beautiful location, friendly staff, great price. Amazingly comfortable beds. My room was in a remote part of the hotel, in a room near an alley, with a lot of stray cats. It took a day for me to have hot water.
Only negative is they do not have a beach at the Hotel. However, the hotel will drive you to a superb beach which is only a 5-10 min drive away. There are 2 nice pools at the hotel. Breakfast is outstanding!
Felt very well taken care of by the staff, it was quiet, which we like, a good place from which to explore Grenada. Very good continental breakfast that is included in room charge.
It was a beautiful experiance
Everything was great! From the food to the staff, it was a great environment! The room was very spacious and much bigger than expected. The only drawback was that there is no actual beach at the resort, but there is a shuttle that can take you to the beach, which is only about 5 minutes away.
a little out of the way (but not by much, & transportation easily available) - very close to St. George's University. Staff always helpful & unobtrusive. Bar/restaurant on grounds (on large deck over the water) a nice way to end the day, with a variety of food available (even a mexican night); breakfast (included w/room) very nice. Rooms decent size, and maintained well. Would rec9ommend to friends, and will return this year.
From the front desk to the dining staff this place has class! I just spent a week at the True Blue Bay Resort and had the time of my life. The free daily morning buffet was scrumptious with choice of fresh-made omelets and pancakes, yogurt, various breads and bagels, fresh fruit, cereal, fresh juice, and coffee/tea. The outside bar is a great place to hang out and the bar staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were clean, modern, and extremely nice for the price. There was a free wine/cocktail party Monday evening which was great fun and nice to meet other guests. The owners always seem to be available on the grounds and very friendly. This place was like home away from home and without the stress. I will definitely be back and look forward to my next visit! Thanks to everyone at True Blue Bay resort for a great time :)
I truly enjoyed my stay at True Blue Bay Resort. We all received a warm welcome from the staff. I am already planning my vacation for next year. Two weeks was not long enough. I looked forward to my breakfast every morning. Miss Omega and Miss Esther knew exactly how I liked my eggs by day three. The ladies at the front desk treated us so well. This is place definitley deserves another visit. The beach is just about a 7 min drive from the hotel and the hotel provides a shuttle if you need it. We even met the owner Rus at breakfast. Thats never happend at any hotel I have stayed at. One word describes this place... AWESOME.. Thank you all at True Blue Resort for this memorable trip.
My husband and I spent 2 nights at True Blue Bay. Our bayfront room had two balconies with great views. We enjoyed all our meals at the Dodgy Dock. Evening meals included good entertainment (i.e steel drum band one night and a different small band the next). Our room was nice and bed very comfortable. Staff very courteous. If we get back to Grenada (and hope we will), we will definitely stay again.
Very beautiful setting above Grand Anse beach. Our villa was at the top of the hill. Long and steep walk ; difficult if you're not in good physical condition.
Rooms were very nice, gorgeous views of grand anse from all patios. All staff were very friendly and knew us by name by the end of our trip. They booked all activities for us at our request. Beach cabana area was very nice with lots of water sport activities including kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, hobie cats and snorkeling equipment. There was also ping pong, beach volleyball and croquet by the beach. The beach side cabana provided lunch and cocktails daily which were reasonably priced. The main restaurant Savvy was very good and we ended up eating there 4-5 nights of our stay. There is nothing bad I can say about Mt Cinnamon, except the walk up the hill to our villa may not agree with some people (we enjoyed the exercise). We will definitely be going back.
Gorgeous view from my balcony, friendly and helpful staff, travel office with island tours and boat tours, hotel is located right on the beach, I could put my lounge chair in the shade of a sea-grape tree right outside the gate and enjoy the beauty of Grand Anse. No drink machines, restaurant was closed, nothing to eat or drink at the hotel. (However, there are other restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance.)
This property is right on the beach which I loved. We stayed on the bottom floor and had a table and chairs on the patio outside of our room. The beach, pool and bar are just a few steps away. The room was clean and comfortable with two beds, a good sized bathroom and an area with a small refrigerator (which we stocked) and counter area. An electric kettle is provided with tea. As a coffee drinker, I would go to the restaurant every morning and they would provide me with a small pot of coffee to take with me free. The hotel has lounge chairs, two kayaks and snorkel equipment that guests can use. It's a 20-25 minute walk to Grand Anse beach and the Spiceland Mall. I'd recommend this place. The restaurant, while beautiful, didn't have consistent food. A dish we liked on our first visit was not good on our second. We didn't end up eating there more than three times.
The beach bar played good music, the grounds and room were quite nice, reeaally good breakfast, the staff was super friendly, and there wasn't a lot of loud partying. Just a relaxed, laid back gem on the 2nd best beach in Grenada - Mourne Rouge Beach. Great swimming on the beach and police patrol the beach 6 days a week (Sundsys off) because it's a public beach. I highly recommend the Kalinago Beach Resort! The housecleaning had room for improvement, and most of the food was good. They do have a fantastic omelette breakfast which I ordered every day, it was that good.
Kalinago's location is excellent, right on the beach. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The beach was clean and quiet. The hotel even provided us with snorkel and mask to allow us to enjoy the marine life. We were in awe with a humongous star fish. This was the second hotel we stayed in the area. We had stayed at the Flamboyant about 1/4 of a mile away but it was not as good as the Kalinago. I will recommend this hotel to anyone business or pleasure. If I could make a suggestion it would be the restaurant. It was good but the menu was very limited and too pricy.
It's a great location but rooms are so uncomfortable and specially beds! I will not stay there again We couldn't sleep that much! Beds were uncomfortable . Breakfast wasn't good neither
The beds are comfy, the beach is right outside your door, essentially. All rooms have a sunset beach view, and you can check out a kayak from the resort for free. The hill out is a good morning warm-up for the day. Food was a bit pricey if you go off any menu aside from the All Day menu, and the hill out is steep if you plan to take the buses most places (which I highly recommend.)
