Very comfortable, good sized room, leisure facilities good.
Enjoyed the use of the Spa Facilites, also had a massage which was very nice. Evening Meal in Bar very nice although service a wee bit slow. 12pm check out time is good Bathroom needs a bit of updating, Bar was busy in the eveing, more than one person required to serve
Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a very nice bar/lounge area. Too bad there is no transport between the hotel and the City Centre.
The staff, food and facilities were excellent.
The restaurant meal was excellent. There was a great deal of potpourri used to attempt to cover a musty, damp smell. But, of course, it is a castle, so this may be a normal condition.
Hotel is tired and requiring re-furbishment
Setting and character of the older mansion part of the hotel are nice. The decor and room fittings are now rather tired and in need of refurb, as are the bathrooms. It did not live up to it's percieved standard.
the spa since change of management quality of hotel is much less tha it used to be which is a shame.
It would have been nice to have a coke and ice machine on the premises. Since there was not, I had to go to the pub to get a coke for my room. That cost 3.50 pounds!!!! Way too much!!!
Not very convenient for travellers without own car
Great looking hotel from the outside, very friendly staff at check in, loved the vibe and decor, cracking room and a fantastic restaurant. All set within a very trendy, Scottish inspired hotel. Nothing, genuinely everything was fantastic
Beautifullly decorated hotel with luxury rooms. We enjoyed the use of the Spa while there to relax.
Lovely decor, whole place squeaky clean
Comfort of room Too dark in room, not enough lighting, could not control room temperature
The breakfast was terrible for a scottish breakfast
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, everything felt new and clean but it is very dark in the rooms. There is a small carpark at the front of the hotel so we parked on the busy street. We were told that there was additional parking at the back of the hotel and how to get there but when we drove round there were no spaces left for us. Not enough parking spaces and we ended up going out for drinks as we could not get served at the bar, it was realy busy, I'm not sure whether there was a party going on or whether it is always that busy.
Decor, facilities, dining, rooms excellent very modern and up-to the minute, very, very clean. Breakfast was extra at £12.50 quite expensive, dining was very very good but again quite pricey.
The restaurant was wonderful...... I did not like that the staff thought it was okay to put a bill through to the room without signing for it. Consistantly this was an issue.
good food, good staff, lovely rooms, although the foyer fire needs topping up more frequently foyer layout when front doors open it gets very cold even with the fire on they could do with turnstile type doors to keep the heat in
We liked the quirky decoration, the toiletries and the shower The room was rather small, as was the TV. No view. The cooked breakfast was disappointing, too - the bacon undercooked and flabby!
The location of the hotel was excellent and very close to the rail station
Clean room, very central Had to pay extorionate rates for parking. £18 for 24hrs
No Room Service. No on-site parking - the hotel was advertised as having on-site parking.
The whole exoerience was good.
Overall very clean. Rooms were not ready when we went to check in at 330pm
very central quite expensive
The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The food was very poor and very overpriced. The staff were distantly polite but did not react to my complaints about the food.
alarm going off at 6.30am
Very nice modern rooms. Cooked breakfast was not the best, but good overall coice
I should have asked at the time, but are all your bathrooms wetrooms fitted for disabled guests. Our bathroom was clearly taking disabled patros into account, but I have to say I would love to have been able to enjoy a relaxing bath (which in room 723 Aberdeen Jury Inn) was not available. Hoping my feed back is taken into account, and thanking you for your interest. Bearing in mind that I have taken my time to fill out your questionaire, I would be most grateful to recieve a reply with regards to my 'grievance' Kind Regards. Lm See above
Beautiful sea view on the harbor front from our room. Stonehaven is a pleasant small village with just enough of the artsy and natural beauty combined to make for a very pleasant stay. Convenient to Aberdeen, about 1 to 1-1/2 hours from the airport, and about 45 mins to the center. Pub food is good but do not expect gourmet eating and fine wines. More of a place to eat simply and enjoy a typical lively pub atmosphere.
Easy Parking, good location Drinks in bar a bit expensive
Swimming pool and leisure facilities Bedroom did not have play station, no internet when change room, bathroom nothing special, just basic facilities, not as advertised, hotel needs decorated throughout, lobby very poor which is the point of entry
Meal was lovely and breakfast Drinks a bit expensive .
The quality of the service and the room.
Food and service were better than expected. Good value for money, excellent position in quiet location.
Excellent bar meal and very good service Rather noisy with refurbishment
Hotel is very well run and staff were very helpful. There weren't really any
Good location for business in Aberdeen......stayed here before and will stay again. They were having a total refurb of the restaurant and reception which made getting to my room difficult and the planning was not good. I would also have appreciated to have been told this prior to my arrival....the place looked in chaos !
Facilities, ie: swimming pool, gym The family room that we occupied was too small, no enough space for us to move. No aircon, room was too warm, the decoration of the room was dated and most of all the sofa bed that they provided was not comfy.
Meal was good in resturaunt One of the two computers in the business centre wasn't working. The printers were not connected. Neither I nor the staff could get the wifi connection in the lobby to work. The pool was not open on all dates.
Good value for money staff very helpful and pleasant None
An excellent hotel with friendly and attentive staff. No bad points apart from no parking but overnight car park was a short walk away.
Nice, modern but cosy hotel. The staff were very helpful. There is no on-site car parking but a well priced secure car park is not far away. We found our room to be very noisy. The street has a few bars which go on to the early hours and all the revellers seem to pass the hotel on their way home.
The decor and general ambience was of a very high standard and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. No car parking on site but a very reasonably priced long stay car park 2 minutes away
The hotel was very well presented and very clean. The decor and facilities were nice and all the staff were friendly and helpful without being too attentive. I would not hesitate to stay here again for business or pleasure.
Relaxed atmosphere, ease of check-in/-out Noise level in street outside
I loved the simply design, staff very friendly and relaxed, rooms very clean, very good value, breakfast fantastic and nicely presented! liked the open kitchen as well and look forward to a meal in the restaurant in the near future.
Room very clean and stylish. Staff very friendly and helpful. The girl who served our breakfast was extremely pleasant. None - though my partner found the bed a little uncomfortable. Was surprised there was no information folder in the room though that wasn't a detriment to me, I imagine some might be unhappy with that.
Stylish design. Central position. Friendly staff. Corridor noise went straight into room.
Friendly staff. a hotel with a homely atmosphere!
Great location and breakfast buffet. Perfect for a business trip without breaking the bank. Staff is friendly and helpful. The private car park is a lifesaver in downtown Aberdeen. I liked the small, historical, boutique feel, while they also offered modern ammenitites and a full bar/restaurant. While perfectly comfortable, the standard single room was the smallest I've ever stayed in. Tiny twin bed, and a tiny walk-in shower. Next time I'd bump up my reservation to the deluxe single or deluxe double room.
The hotel has a central location. The hotel boasts that it has a car park. There are about 20 spaces which are used by the staff and often double parked. You will be very lucky to get a space. The room was small without a view the price charged is not value for money.
the hotel needs renovation
The hotel was well situated and very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful.
The good value for money
The friendliness of the Staff The price for the 2nd night was double the first night! Not great value for money.
convience to city centre, some of the rooms are smoking rooms, even though the smoking ban is not in force long you could still get a smell of smoke in the room.If Iwere to stay at this hotel again I would request a no smoke room.
Location, good breakfast the room was old and dirty
Location of hotel, friendly staff, good selection of breakfast items
Hotel central Room was claustrophobic. The window had frosted glass making the room very dark and very warm. Had to ask for a fan - which we got - but I would not have spent more than one night in the room.
the location to everywhere in aberdeen breakfast time could have been later
Very pleasant hotel, good service and good facilities. Very reasonably priced. Good location.
the staff were very helpful, happy and willing to help. my wife is a fussy eater and our evening meal and breakfast was cooked and presented just as requested. the whole experience was absolutely spot on many thanks we was only there one night and didn't find anything wrong
The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever come across, they couldnt do enough for you. The public area's are fantastic as is the food! I hope the hotel will refurbish the remainder of their bedrooms soon as this could be Aberdeens first life style hotel!
The whole of the downstairs was very nice, and its in a good position for the centre of Aberdeen I think when the whole hotel is finished it will be nice, however some of the rooms looked like they were still in need of refurb
friendly, modern, relaxed lounge type environment with great wine and above average food, available throughout the day & night. noisy lift alarm - audible from rooms nearby, noisy seagull sanctuary outside one particular room windowsill!
I liked my entrance at the hotel a lot: a stylish, spacious, wellcoming space. The top floor was a little shabby, especialy the carpets and the windows. This is a pitty because the room furnishings aspire to more.
It was close to the city centre the room was absolutely atrocious. The lounge was lovely, there was a nice atmosphere and we had high hopes for our stay. Going up the corridor, the paint was flaking off the walls, the floor and the carpet was uneven. Then we got to our room/prison cell. It was tiny, there was no headboard, it was dated and cold. The table, bedside table and tv stand were all slanted and uneven which I was unsure if it was a quirky thing for the hotel or just really badly made furniture. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was no light apart from a bedside lamp. The only saving grace was the size of the bathroom, twice the size of the room although very sparse.
In desperate need of a makeover! The landing on the 2nd floor was like walking on a bouncy castle and the carpet had to of been bought by the Carmelite nuns. The food left a lot to be desired, which is why I never bothered with breakfast. The one plus point was that they had Sky Sports in the bedroom. See above
Good city centre location with plenty of helpfull attentive staff in a modern environment. Internet access a bonus.
It was not over renovated. Seemed to be an authentic castle with a few frayed carpets and paint work required here and there. Good room service menu. Good breakfast. Check out was painfully slow (45 minutes) and the bills were wrong.
Pittodrie House is located in a very impressive scenery. The house is well maintained and the information provided on the website is accurate. Meals were excellent.
Location, food, staff, lovely and quiet The tiny room with it's view of the kitchen extraction flue (an executive room...). The hotel credit card charge was a blast from the past - an unwelcome one.
Food very good Service, especially pre-dinner, poor.
Old mansion house in lovely countryside. Open log fires in lounge and dining room created a relaxing ambience. Friendly staff. Felt dinner at £35 was overpriced for the standard of the food compared to other hotels at similar standard and price.
I have to say the breakfast was as good as anywhere I have stayed and gets full marks
congenial staff no
Very friendly staff who worked at making sure your stay was an enjoyable experience.Surprisingly pet friendly. Most days wedding held! That is the speciality but still ok
The hotel is in a relatively remote location and yet it has a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff were all very friendly. Food though expensive and of the nouvelle cuisine style, was beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling. This is the second time I have stayed here and I would emphatically recommend it. I was on business and opted for it because it was one of very few hotels in the area. It was definitely a world away from my normal accommodation, and all the better for that. My room as on the previous occasion, was sumptuous, beautiful elegant modern bathroom with a bath and a separate shower big enough for two people to share. Large comfy double bed. It is quite easy to get lost trying to find the place even with Sat Nav. Bit it is well worth the effort. In fact be warned that the Sat Nav and indeed the road signs tend to take you on an unnecessarily circuitous route in order to make sure you arrive at the hotel via a very long drive. There is a much shorter route into the hotel from the A96 which I think is probably reserved for deliveries.
We attended a wedding at the hotel and it was very good for that
Close to local amenities. Bed gave me an awful backache the following day.
Small box room with only a skylight, which smelt of stale cigarettes and mould. Hotel was also very noisy.
Was all genrally good.
efficient booking in and olut tables too low to eat in the bar
The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. TV only had 3 channels working. I went for breakfast at 7.00am and ordered a cooked breakfast immediately. At 7.40 I was still waiting for my food to come, as was everyone else. In the end I had to leave without anything to eat.Unfortunately I had already paid my Hotel bill whilst waiting for my breakfast.
The room was clean and had the appearance of being resently renovated. The on-suite was good and the shower/bath everything we could wish for. We only used the dinning room for breakfast but the dinner menu was very appetising and the dinning room was very busy all day on sunday. Fire door part way down corridor tended to close with a bang, causing some disturbance during the night. The room needed a chair or two as sitting on the bed was not particularly comfortable.
Food was of a "pub" standard - good, filling but expensive for what it was. Beds were comfortable Big, bleak, barren - very few other guests - dined alone with only one other family group on a Friday night. Limited menu although well cooked. Bedroom although large with high ceilings had only one tiny framed print on the walls, cobwebs on the chandelier, black mould around the bath. Very worn carpeting throughout the hotel. Very dated throughout.
The size of the room was great, as were the staff. The room was not ready for us, the bed was not made and the room not vaccumed. The shower wouldn't work.
loads of parking the bar/seating area ,too few seats available.
no hot water
It was ideally close to the city centre but you would think that you were further out as there was no noise outside Couldnt fault the hotel
Rooms were warm and clean, staff were very friendly. No Smoking Rooms!
The warmth and friendliness of all staff from the moment we arrived to check in.
great room and good staff.
Generally the room was clean and facilities good .. The matress which you could control was also good . I was dissapointed that their was no room in the Hilton car park so I had to use the car park up the road . This would have been fine but I was told it would only cost £5 to park here and the hotel would validate my ticket ..when i tried to exit the car park however I was to be charged £18 and had to speak to car park manager to sort it out . It was also made difficult to know how to connect to the free wifi , which took a couple of calls to reception to sort out , however it was .
generally `ok with our visit - hotel was understaffed but staff were very pleasant and obliging. `room very good. But small things need to be improved eg no soap in bathroom, lack of hot water in shower etc. Meals not outstanding but adequate. We liked the general atmosphere in the hotel.. Traditional rather than modern. No musak no feeling of being in a chain hotel. Just fix the little things to be an outstanding experience.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere of Scottish country house hotel - plus great food
The staff were all welcoming, friendly & helpful. For our 1-night stay, the room we had was stunning & had a king-size bed, great TV etc. Then, for our breakfast there was a splendid choice of continental & full Scottish. In the lounge, there was a lovely open log fire to relax beside before we checked out. Our stay couldn't have been better & we just wish it could have been 1 or 2 more nights.
Staff, surroundings, coal fire None
We had been allocated a room which had just been renovated and was very comfortable. Nothing
well positioned, quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk into town in a few minutes.Friendly staff and good food. Some parts of hotel require updating.
Easy to get to, handy for centre of Aberdeen, great that I could leave my car in a safe car park. Ideal
Good price for room, and local to halls of res for visiting my son Could not get b n b as was offered this at another hotel for 45 pounds but missed out due to checking dates with son
staff were informative and very friendly. food was excellent, evening meal was of good quality and reasonable priced. lots of choice for cereals at breakfast and the quality of the cooked breakfast was suberb, I have stayed at top class hotels and not had such a good breakfast. we did not find the pillows comfortable but that might just be personal taste as we prefer pillows to be firmer.
The only complaint that I would have is that the room was too hot. The window only opened a fraction and it wasn't possible to control the temperature in the room. On the plus side, there was a desk fan in the room which helped
Probably the best value for money hotel in Aberdeen and the location is excellent.
Very welcoming Reception area. Rooms modern, clean & tidy. Bar/Restaurant area were also very welcoming and offered a cosy feel. None
the room was lovely, great size and lovely ensuite. The staff were helpful. There was a wedding on so service was stretched and bar was extremely busy - other guests forgotten about due to wedding.
dinner was very good
the hotel had easy access, was pet friendly, and the staff were very polite, helpful and efficient. the decor appeared dated
Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Ice machine on floor near lift. Miles from Aberdeen centre 10 miles. A lot more than advertised. had to pay for wi-fi and had to use all time paid for all at once. Could not use say 15 minutes and then go back to use the rest.
The friendly atmosphere and welcoming reception staff. Well decorated clean rooms and excellent meals No
Helpfullness of staff, and closeness to Aberdeen. The food from the two sources were excellent. Lack of a swimming pool
Reception staff were first class
Very new, well thought out hotel. Room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was state of the art. Decor was first class, and the service was very friendly and helpful. Menu was comprehensive, and prices were reasonable. Meals were well cooked and tasty. Particulrly liked the English breakfast. I recommend this hotel very highly. None.
Friendly and attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. Room and service good
i loved everything about the apartment. it was lovely and modern. ive booked to go back next year. breakfast was good
Excellent city centre location, close to shops & bars, hotel very clean with modern decor, staff very friendly & helpful Rooms quite small
Excellent standards of cleanliness. Staff very friendly. Some noise from above basement room.
Very friendly and helpful staff, city centre location, 5 minutes walk from train station. Good selection of food at self serve buffet breakfast, clean and well presented. Air con in room was quiet and efficient. Limited storage space in room. Room may be a little noisy due to location of nearby pubs/nightclubs. Lack of hot breakfast may not suit all.
we loved the apartments very modern and spotless clean an excellent location for shopping and entertainment we had a fantastic stay and would go again
Proximity to city centre. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Good size of room. Jacuzzi. Good selection of foods at continental breakfast. Very enclosed. Practically no windows in building. Very little natural light.Small bedroom window which could not be opened.
so modern & very clean - it was like your own house not like a hotel at all best hotel ive stayed in.
Staff very helpful, very nice room!
Friendly, excellent service. Fairly new and clean. Center city location with everything at the doorstep. Good buffet breakfast. Noisy. Overhead footsteps from bar above and from tiled floors throughout. Lots of stairs and inconvenient parking. Depressing colour of breakfast/reception - no natural light. Uncomfortable seats for breakfast.
Lovely rooms excellent location. Friendly reception staff.
Staff were generally good and ease of access to AECC Oppressively warm
Friendly, comfortable and for location and what we were there for couldn't be more ideally situated. Other than the bathplug was broken and couldn't empty the bath we both enjoyed our very short break.
Friendly staff, efficient reception, the room was spacious, clean and very quiet. Parking outside the hotel was convenient.
Closeness to the Exhibition Centre Small very busy bar area.
space and cleanliness breakfast served too late therefore it should not be included in price
it was next door to the concert venue, lovely hotel, clean frindly staff
Excellent breakfast, clean, comfortable room. Well situated for visiting students at university. Excellent deal booked on line.Happy to come back
Hospitality of staff
Convenience/location to Business Calls
the breakfast was amazing - so much choice. the staff were very helpful and attentive apart from the reception/restaurant and bar, the hotel was so dated and in need of alot of updating. it is well over priced (i had a week in a 4* hotel in madrid in the city centre for less than the price i paid here). the rooms were too warm and when you opened the window all you could hear was the extract fans from the kitchens. overall, a bad hotel
Iwas most impressed with the spacious suite we were allocated,we were in 401 on the ground floor, which was not only superbly equipped itwas most relaxing as we heard almost no noise from fellow guests, despite the suites being fully booked. All of the staff were friendly and most helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet continental breakfast exceeded all expectations with a great choice to suit all tastes and plenty of staff providing pots of tea and coffee and fresh toast. definately a must to stay at if you visit aberdeen, amazing value for money!
City centre for business access and very comfortable suite to return to. no
We loved the standard of the accomodation eg the luxury of having a suite with all facilities but with the bonus of having a breakfast included as well as a complimentary drink on the first day and free beverages and snacks during your stay. Superb Nothing it was excellent.
The Staff were Excellent. The rooms were clean and well decorated. Breakfast was excellent, and the lounge area with free Tea and coffee was a lovely touch. Overall i do not have an complaints.
