Pros: view and suclussion
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quite, nice views, clean rooms
Cons: Rooms and building need to be upgraded old furniture etc paint colours .. food very over priced
6.7 Good
Pros: It's remote location and spectacular views.
Cons: There was a misunderstanding of their "pet friendly" advertising. I did not read through to the end, so when I showed up with my 6lb. Yorkshire terrier, the management staff accosted me, and slapped a "fee" of $150 and refused to even discuss the matter. I offered to keep the dog in the car, but there was no room for any compromise. That evening, we reserved for dinner, and after a half-hour wait, were served a bottle of wine. A further wait of an hour and fifteen minutes, still with no food, we vacated the resteraunt and asked that the meals be delivered to our room. This did occur about two hours after having placed the order. The meal was acceptable, but the timing was not. When trying to resolve this matter the next morning with management, we were given short shrift, and again with no room for any compromise. When we arrived for our reservation, we were advised there was "problems in the kitchen" and it would be about an hour till our meal would be served, which would have been acceptable.. In fact, it was over two hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and relaxing, good food helpful staff and good location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, lovely cottage. Our family's favorite weekend getaway place to go.

Pros: Loved the house. Great place for 2 families to hang out and enjoy some serious down time. Beautiful property.
Cons: Loved the privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, with nice views of the ocean. It had a nice common outside area in front of the water, with places to sit, and a fire pit. Providing cups that could be washed and reused was very eco-friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, 24 hour coffee/tea bar. Definitely recommend if you are staying on this part of the island.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is nice, but there were a few things that I would Have liked to have changed. I noticed no coffee in the rooms (there is coffee 24/7 in the lobby which is fine), no blow dryer, no AC (at least in my room), and the front desk is only open 8am-8pm. When we made the reservation I said 2 adults, but we only had one key, which made it difficult because we typically only got back to our room after 8pm and we were up doing stuff before 8 also. There is no food that I know of, all I saw to purchase was some chocolate bars and chips. Be sure to pack snacks.
Cons: Ocean side, quiet, clean, generally a really nice place to stay overall.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good room and view from the balcony.
Cons: Parking was difficult
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable. The view was nice.
Cons: It was on highway 19A so it was very noisy. After 10 pm though it would quiet due to little traffic. The host gave me the wifi password but laptop couldn't connect because you had to go to a certain site to activate the connection. This wasn't communicated at the beginning. Also, it's an old building and smelled a bit due to humid weather.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view from the balcony was very nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In a good location, within walking distance of coffee shops. Helpful friendly staff.

They made us the most amazing breakfast that we loved every minute of and was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly highly recommend you stay with these beautiful people.

Enjoyed chatting with other guests in breakfast room. Room (suite) was very spacious and well furnished. Balcony was pleasant. Eagles landed in tree across the road. :)
Cons: Although the room was very clean and well maintained, the unit had an odd stale smell. I believe it was possibly from the carpet or upholstered furniture, which were clean and in good repair, but looked older.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location could walk to ocean and shops
7.9 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Didn't expect a high-rise.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location. A comfy bed. Starbucks coffee.
Cons: I was led to believe I would have a "superior suite" from the booking. I don't think the room provided would qualify as such. Misleading information with respect to room and I'm still unsure as to number of aeroplan points earned though once again this room was found though rocketmiles site and the perk for 'first' time bookings was 5000 aeroplan points plus points for the room. Please provide info regarding this particular perk. The stay at this particular hotel versus a mych less costly room found just about anywhere was made based on this enticement. So naturally I'd like to confirm if these points are included. Thank you.
6.0 Good
Pros: The jacuzzi tub in the room.
Cons: The attitude of the front desk when asked for a receipt. Whether the system allows one to be printed or not, his attitude was unprofessional and condescending.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, breakfast was very good, very convenient to go downstairs and have breakfast available.
Cons: Liked the hotel, definitely stay again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal for our group. Food - As non-Canadians we enjoyed the Thanksgiving Dinner. Included breakfast meet all our needs. The restaurant staff were lovely.

Pros: Location, view and the Inn itself.
4.8 Okay
Cons: Poor parking and access for larger vehicles. Looks like they started renovating room but quit. Musty smelling and views over old roofs.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: Very nice ocean view
Cons: Sheets hadn't been changed (hair in the sheets) and tub hadn't been cleaned. After arriving at the first room slotted to us we found the room still I cleaned, 2nd room looked fine but once we moved in realized it wasn't. It's a very tired and quite unfriendly hotel. We wouldn't go back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Honestly wasn’t expecting that we got screwed off an air bnb and had to backtrack late from a trip on the island this popped up at such a good deal we weren’t expecting such a nice luxurious place. We had a feeling we got upgraded to by the looks of it so big thanks to some weary travellers!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely old inn (over 100 years) in a beautiful and serene place on Heriot Bay ON QUADRA ISLAND. Friendly staff and one hotel cat that loves a warm lap. Had a perfect smoked salmon Benedict in the main dining room. Well maintained but don't expect luxury except in the dining room.
Cons: Wish there had been a screen in the only window. Fans were provided. SENIORS: if you can't do stairs, don't stay here. All rooms are on the second floor and all entries have stairs. Remember, it's over 100 years old.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Rooms are over the pub: very noisy. My room was so dark I could not even read during daytime, and very small. Old shower system. The wifi password changed during the night, meaning it did not work when I woke up (early because of jetlag) until the reception was open. I don’t mind low confort, but the price should be adapted

Cons: No tv, outdated bathroom.
6.7 Good
Cons: Loud music, although it was good music.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location. Friendly staff. Great entertainment, Jim Byrnes, the reason we went. Funky clean old hotel. Comfortable beds.
Cons: The breakfast service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour to get our breakfast to our table.
5.4 Okay
Pros: liked the seaside location and the quaintness of the inn
Cons: Our room was over the pub and there was loud music until 12:45 am and loud talking and laughing until 1:15am. I wrote to the manager about it but she would not refund my money. Also, although the inn is quaint our room was very poor: about 10 'x 10',, no phone, no tv and no coffee. a very poor room.

Pros: A great motel, close to good fishing, not far from the ferry to Quadra island and an excellent base for exploring the area. It was a bit older but clean, well kept and excellent value for the money spent.
4.2 Okay

Pros: The staff accepted my request for an early check in, which made my day so much easier. We were given a bag of delicious granola, which was unexpected. Our room was recently renovated and very nice t
Cons: The walls are thin and I was awoken by the neighbours.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to ferry!
Cons: Property was under renovation but owners (staff) were very accommodating and friendly! Will stay there again for sure!
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to the ferry! Great great view
Cons: Could be a little bit cleaner :) But was great!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Easy check-in with cute welcome gift Super comfortable beds and clean room Fully stocked kitchenette Great TV with lots of channels Access to BBQ, big yard, lounge spots, hot tub and swimming pool. Loved the location- I watched sea lions swim and deer prance around.
Cons: Has an old-fashioned feel with some things outdated, even after renovation: hotel literature was from 2016, for an example; old dentist office-style, generic art. An easy upgrade could be having local art or photographs around Quadra. It would make the rooms more charming.
7.9 Good
Pros: We were given a nice treat from the front desk at check in. Rooms were well equipped but were showing their age. New large screen TV with Netflix was nice as I was sick and stayed in for a night. Rooms that ask you to wash your own dishes scare me a little as you never know who washed the dishes last so I feel I have to wash everything again before I use it.
Cons: The floor was squeaky when you walked around and you could hear other guests walking around.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location on Quadra Island, very close to ferry. Rooms had good amenities which meant for a good get away.
Cons: The staff weren’t very attentive, especially on check out. Unfortunately we didn’t know the hotel was under renovations and had a lot of dust, noise and work-men hammering from 8am in the morning.
4.2 Okay
Pros: I liked that it looked out to the docks.
Cons: The hotel is under renovation, not compensation for that matter. No cutlery in rooms, only half the appliances worked(breakers blown), etc.

7.9 Good
Pros: We arrived and left by kayak which proved challenging. On the positive side, the owners and their son were terrific. The son even helped us get our boat back to the water when we left. There had been a bit of a communication issue about where to leave our boat but all was managed. The room was large and had a decent kitchenette. The bathroom could use some upgrading but it met our needs. We were happy with our stay.
Cons: We expected the Edgewater Motel to actually be on the edge of the water and not on the top of a cliff overlooking the water. We had checked Google Earth and Google maps and we now know the fuzzy thing we thought was a beach was the cliff. The lesson to us here is that we should always phone and ask. Since we were arriving and leaving by kayak (we did note this in a message to the motel), our arrival and departure were challenging. We left our boat at the bottom of the cliff and carried our gear up the 104 steps. The motel is quite far from restaurants and shops. Fortunately, a very kind friend of the owners drove us to a diner in Black Creek so that we could buy a few things. We could have easily managed with what we had but it was nice to get some take-out and relax.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First off the owners were great. Had a super early flight next morning and the owner drove us for much cheaper than the taxi. Its small but perfect. Right on the coast with beach access. Very comfortable and would definitely stay again.
Cons: Its not really in walking distance to anything but they've got a full kitchen so as long as you plan ahead its perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, great staff, beautiful view, nice room, comfortable and clean, a bit smaller than expected but overall very good.
Cons: All was well, except the credit card machine would not work and we had to pay cash. This was inconvenient but we managed.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was warm, private and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable as well.
Cons: The bed requires a larger size of sheets; flannel would be be awesome in the cooler months.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The bed was OK, the bathroom was not proper done.
Cons: The room was not properly cleannadmaintrnsncr
7.5 Good
Pros: We enjoyed the one bedroom suite and the room it allowed us to have our daughter come and visit. The beach was great. Saw lots of star fish and other sea creatures.
Cons: The unit had a smell, maybe an old motel smell. Also there were 104 stairs to the ocean. My husband counted them. We were not aware of this before arriving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The entrance off the highway is a little confusing needs better signage.

Pros: For a low budget motel it was great. Clean. Close to town so not far to go to restaurants, etc. LOTS of plug ins. Small fridge if required. Loved the coffee. Nice coffee maker verses the k cup style. Has desk & chair looking out at ocean.
Cons: The bathtub did not hold the water for taking a bath in our suite. The beds were hard which some people like. No sofa or comfy chair. The windows are not triple pane so can hear the road noise BUT solution was to run the bathroom fan with the door almost closed and it acted as 'white noise' so the traffic noise never bothered our sleep.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was quiet even though the motel is next to a busy road. It was spotlessly clean - thanks to Karen, our friendly housekeeping lady. The folks at the office were great - check-in was quick & easy. The beds were super comfy. Everything (appliances & wifi) worked. Will go back if we’re in the area again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location but by highway
Cons: Very poor water pressure in bathroom sink
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff went out of their way to help me in 2 separate situations. Very kind.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Cleanliness was not up to par. Better lighting would be appreciated
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Old, basic, uninviting.
