View is amazing, very clean, good internet connection. However, not optimal for hiking or taking a walk. It is very much up the hill.
Cons: Before arrival we have called the property and it seemed like the person that has answered was very unfriendly and judmental. The fact that sauna costs extra was not made clear before the arrival.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at the hotel once before and it continues to offer excellent value for money. The hotel is a very traditional, German hotel with a great deal of charm. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and en- suites are spacious and clean and we had a very good night-s sleep. The hotel has an excellent restaurant serving local specialities. The portions are huge and quality amazing. Breakfast is a great treat with so much choice. Most of the produce is sourced locally and some is available to purchase. Overall we were delighted with our stay and will certainly return.
Cons: There was nothing we didnt like. Everything was perfect.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable and close to the motorway for onward travel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have been visiting for a number of years. Superb location, excellent food and service makes it always a pleasure to visit.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second stay at this friendly family hotel and we liked everything, just as the first time. The room had air-conditionning (but not agressive) which was especially important at this time of record high temperatures (over 44 C in Bavaria), the bed was very comfortable and we got a very good night rest after a whole day of travelling in the extreme heat. The breakfast was excellelent and we couldn't resist buying some of the local products and produce before leaving. Although we arrived late and the kitchen was already closing, a kind waiter made us feel welcome and managed to bring us some dinner and excellent beer to the restaurant's garden. Will surely come again!
Cons: Well, there could have been some more towel hangers in the bathroom and a shelf near the toilet - but these are just minor details.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic Hotel , very clean and Tidy. Food was excellent and a great choice. We also liked the fact they had an English menu too. I have to say Heidi on reception was lovely and helped us a lot with finding things to see and do. and converted things into English for us too,
Cons: Internet was really bad. No signal in rooms and hardly anything in public areas. But hey was on holiday so didn't matter that much. but Business users may struggle.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good restaurant, clean, charming.
Cons: Heating very insufficient. No wifi in our room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, the mueseli and cappacino is excellent. The only down side is that yu are not in town and I require a rental car.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Big Roms with nice view. Nice set up of restaurant area, very good lokal food. In Sprite of the full restaurant, the service was efficient, quick and friendly. Breakfast was good although coffee could have been à little farmer. We will certainly come back,
6.3 Good
Pros: Perfect hotel for a stop-over. Large parking, large rooms, restaurant.
Cons: It looks as if the hotel is having problems with their personnel (a big billboard at the entrance advertises that they are hiring). The glasses in my bathroom were dirty. There was a bad smell in my room. Some employees in the restaurant have difficulties to manage obvious tasks... I think when the hotel finds a solution for this, it could be a perfect place to be.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: We needed to stop overnight on our drive from Germany to Italy and this was reasonably convenient as a detour off the motorway. We arrived at 8.30pm and had to rush to get served in the restaurant before it closed at 9pm. There were no other options for food in the village, so we were lucky. Dinner was ok, breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable and shower, although not new or stylish, worked well. There was a full size working fridge in the room and complementary sparkling water. Ample free parking. Staff pleasant and friendly.
Cons: The hotel seemed quite full and we were placed in an out building. Room was pretty basic, but bed was comfortable, enough closet space. Small bathroom with shower. No kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room. Room cost was higher than a central Amsterdam stay the previous night, both of which were last minute bookings.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The young ladies at the front desk were professional and friendly The evening meal seemed to be a confusion for waiters No one seemed to know what was going on A waitress finally stepped in and everything ran smoothly The hotel is beautiful the breakfast excellent The price super Only complaint is the mattress it was horrible I sleep firm but this was an extreme I woke with aching hips and back Other than that I'd return and definitely recommend The owners were also very friendly I'd definitely recommend finding "happier" waiters...
Cons: The mattress was firmer than firm woke with aching hips and back
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A lovely hotel in a quiet, quaint little village. Good facilities and great staff.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great stay. Very friendly staff.

Pros: Expecting a nice hotel stay, we arrived to find the Wellness and Fitness Hotel was exactly matched to one of the guests who was a Wellness and Fitness Guru and really enjoyed the ambience, the surroundings, the facilities and how it was 'tailor made' for her exact requirements in an hotel. Pros: Location
Cons: No fridge in the rooms, breakfast very poor, restaurant highly priced,, facilities not well maintained
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly personnel and location
Cons: Bit outdated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Place very quiet, nice and close to forest.
Cons: The restaurant must be paid directly by CB. it isn't possible to charge the meals on the room !! What a stupid thing....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Diner was good, much better than last year. Maybe even a bit too much food. Breakfast was very good. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Rooms are up to date except those on the third floor bc these need to be renovated badly (unless you miss the seventies), but everything works fine and is clean so not really a problem.
Cons: We hope that on our next trip, we will have one of the renovated rooms bc these have much nicer bathrooms. We badly miss shoe scrapers at the entrance to clean the mud after a walk in the stunning but muddy environment. After four years, still nothing of that kind. And that in Germany, in a sports hotel. ;-).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the view. We had rooms with balcony and it was an amazing view. No one disturbed. And there were no loud noises.
Cons: The breakfast was OK, but I’d prefer a few more things to choose. I missed the fresh fruits. There was only very little available and it didn’t look so fresh to me. The staff from the kitchen appeared a little careless.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is the best in the neighbourhood
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is ok. Location is still OK, the hotel layout is good, very casual.
Cons: The location is a little out of place, if there is no car, it will be a headache.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge bedroom with comfortable bed, fine view, sitting area with sofa & 2 easy chairs. Spacious bathroom. Excellent dinner on the sunny terrace; good breakfast from buffet. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Cons: Nothing to complain about at all: whole experience was excellent.

7.5 Good
Pros: The buffet breakfast was excellent - decent juice, good coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, smoked saalmon and the usual rolls, jam, etc. It's dog friendly. It's very convenient for the Stuttgart - Ulm - Munich autobahn.
Cons: I slept through the church bells, nice lady didn't. Parking might be a problem when the hotel is full. Being picky - the bracket on the wall for the shower head was quite high for the girlfriend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient and quiet location for an overnight stop on the way to Italy
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's a small family-owned hotel in a wonderful valley. The building is old but in excellent condition, the rooms are simple but clean and cozy. The staff was extra nice. Even though only a few of them spoke English, everybody were friendly and helpful. The food is awesome. Both the breakfast and the a-la-carte dishes were brilliant. Big up to the home-made pastries.
Cons: Wifi was somewhat slow.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's just off what we call Horrid Hill - a slow climb on a narrow 2 lane autobahn which often jams. Wiesensteig is a quiet small town. The dinner menu has a sensible but not huge choice and there is a (smaller) menu in English as well. If there are any doubts several of the staff have good English. Breakfast is a big hot and cold buffet - excellent!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, very nice location, 25 minutes drive to Stuttgart. Great food, try their local maultaschen suppe. Very nice and helpful staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Delightful and very generous breakfast - charming staff who worked very hard to accommodate our very poor German!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet location, even though the hotel is in the centre of the town, next to the church. Very comfortable room. Food and beer in the evening was very good, restaurant was very cosy. Excellent choice of food at breakfast.
Cons: Bit of a nuisance that we couldn't check in before 5p.m.

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, spacious and clean room
Cons: Free parking was not available although it was mentioned there is free parking. The hotel charged 11 Euro extra for parking. It should be clearly stated that there is no free parking (or limited to a few cars in the street away to the hotel). The staff was generally kind, except for the night check-in.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location near the airport
Cons: Unfriendly and stressed coworkers. The a la carte menu was unavailable and the restaurant closed! Allthough the hotel was fully booked. The breakfadt was in a sideroom because of buffetpreparations and the quality was not good! Not what you wish for the easterdays. Disappointing!
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, good choice of food and coffee. Nice site. Close to the highway.
Cons: A bit warn-out furniture and infrastructure. Took us a long time to check-out beacuse the staff was busy with renting bikes. Beds were prepared only for one person nevertheless we booked a room with double bed for two guests. But staff brought additional blanket and pillow without problem.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Room rate is reasonable. It is worth for family trip.
Cons: You need to bring your own bath towel into the swimming pool, and will have no extra towels for bathing. Our room had only one small window so that ventilation in the room did not work well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Parking should be provided in the cost
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is spacious and located next to large road networks. The rooms are good in size, clean and quiet. The bathroom was good, nothing fancy but spacious and rather clean. Staff was polite and accommodated us when we asked for a late arrival. Breakfast was very satisfying. The price was good for what this hotel had to offer.
Cons: The parking cost 11 euros, which seem a bit too much for such a spacious facility located next to the large road networks. There was no amenities (i.e. q-tips and cotton pads) in the bathroom.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast. Many choices and large eating area. Nice with indoor pool, large rooms. Lovely surroundings
Cons: At check in the information had to be drawn from the staff such as parking, breakfast times and such. No restaurants in the area. Hassle to park the car and to get out of the garage. Extra hassle as you had to rely on the car to get around.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is Ok.
Cons: At the pool were all the guests jumping, spraying, pushing other guests. A warning should be written for indecent guests.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting, mixture of guests, workers, family etc
Cons: Expensive to park in the car park but it turned out I could have parked right outside the hotel with lots of others.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, big, and very affordable rooms.

Pros: Mattress, location
Cons: Food,environmental odor to farm
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good evening meal - my husband had a super Zwiebelrostbraten. Kristallweizen bier. Freshly made scrambled eggs at breakfast.
Cons: Be aware that check-in doesn't open until 5pm. Oh, and the church bells keep the hours through the night!
7.0 Good
Cons: Theresa was no breajfast at all. Nobody was present!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast we had was excellent, the whole experience was value for money.
Cons: This isn't a criticism, just a viewpoint. We were unaware the custodians of the guest-house did not live on site. My party and I, are well known "Night Owls". We were quite surprised when we were asked, "What time are you going to bed ?" It was then we realised the custodians of the guest house, had to drive home and back for 06.00am the following morning. It would be worthwhile making this public knowledge on the advertisment. Like I say, its a point, not a criticism, the people who ran the facility were great, two of the nicest people we have met on tours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is located in a beautiful village, very easy to find, remarkable outlook and amazing view from room windows.
7.5 Good
Pros: We use it as an overnight stay, so it was convinent. In the reception you can heave a local meal or a local beer! Rooms are big. Breakfast is decent.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Gasthof zum See in Wiesensteig, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Todtsburger Höhle and Reussenstein Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was minutes away from A8 Autobahn which was great for us to us as pitstop on our long drive from Italy to London. Guest house was very clean and in traditional southern german style. Breakfast was good in traditional german style. Beds were very comfy.
Cons: Very disappointed that on the night of our arrival, the restaurant closed at 8pm. We arrived at 7.15pm . We had booked it specifically so we could enjoy a nice meal after our long drive. So we walked around the small town but nothing much open apart from kebab takeaway and 2 bars that were full of smokers!!! Also the WiFi password was not indicated in the room and we had to ask for it. Mobile network is very poor.
6.8 Good
Pros: We had a late check-in, noticed that our bed was broken, but the owner was already gone. So one of us had to sleep on the floor! They must have known this! It was an obvious lack. Breakfast was ok though and the owner was friendly, but she should have noticed this.

Pros: Family and cozy hotel with good food and excellent reception
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location - close to the motorway. Spacious room and comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly hosts. Good breakfast even though we got there late. Clean but spoilt by the smell of old cigarette smoke (see dislikes).
Cons: Seriously spoilt by the smell of old cigarette smoke, made worse (probably) by the room being closed up for a while. Even with windows open, it was noticeable during the night, but had faded by the morning. The room had a non-smoking sticker, which seemed to contradict the ashtray in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was basic but clean and quiet. The evening meal was good
Cons: The rectangular basin was a mystery and difficult to use for shaving or teeth brushing. The music in the bar and at breakfast was dreadful. Silence would have been better. Plenty of woods but no access or paths !!
4.3 Okay
Cons: some equipment was outdated or non functioning (e.g. hairdryer) .. expensive
6.3 Good
Pros: Very nice hosts. Comfortable bed. English channels on Tv. Good car parking. Dinner was good value.
Cons: Hotel is rather old fashioned and tired looking. Shower head holder was broken, although shower was usable. No air conditioning and noisy in the morning because we had our windows open.

Hotel Adler - Aichelberg - Building

Hotel Adler is an ideal base for hiking in the surrounding woodlands and enjoying the mountain panoramas. Ulm and Stuttgart are both a 30-minute drive from the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, and excellent diner. Quiet hotel and particularly confortable bed.
6.8 Good
Pros: very convenient to the A8 (east-west autobahn)
Cons: Yes the coffee was good but the cheese (?) croissant and the bread rolls felt as if they had been cooked in a microwave. With hindsight breakfast at the coffee shop/bakery across the road might have been better. The restaurant in the Adler was closed and the other restaurants in the town were either closed or full up.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel was close to a very nice bakery. In addition, it was close (maybe too close) to the highway.
Cons: The room was not very clean and completely different from the photo online. The shutter of the window in the room was not working and for a hotel located close to the highway this resulted in noisy nights.
