friendly staff;clean rooms
Overall standards were excellent. Leisure facilities to a high standard. Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Location idyllic. Room rates good value. Restaurant & bar prices higher than expected
The facilities were fantasic, lovely place to chill out with good local facilities including shops and resturants. With friendly staff and great service. Slighty pricey, but worth it!
Excellent breakfast. Allday use of next-door spa and pool facilities for no extra charge also on the day of check out. Very easy to find location.Good size bathroom with nice shower. The only reason to stay at this hotelis the adjoining spa centre. The hotel itself is now definitely not 4 star: (comfy) double bed is really narrow, carpet is old, worn out and a bit stained, no coffee/teamaking facilities, the (large) balcony overlooks.... a shoulder-height wall (what the point???). All of the room entrance lights were not working:we reported it to reception and nothing was done about it. Internet connections, both wi-fi and cable, are complete crap. No wonder they"re free! No extra pillows were provided and we had to ask for them. Small bedside tables. Only 1 armchair in room and a small utility table, apart from the writing desk, with only one chair.
The staff were extremely helpful, the facilities fantastic, and the price was very good for what was available.Very close to Paderborn.
Very nice location, fantastic swimming pool and in-cre-di-ble sauna! Staff very kind, non-intrusive and professional. My partner didn't like being requested to enter the sauna naked (nudism should be optional, not obligatory!)
The swimming pools and other facilities were excellent. The food was of a good standard and the room was quiet. The room was very basic so I`m assuming the four stars are for the sports facilities. There was no tea or coffee in the room, and in the morning the shower was cold. We were completely soaked when we arrived, and I would have expected drying equipment in this class of hotel.
location not really
good food and value for money clean, quiet room only stayed one night to break our journey. walking distance to the town and shops
Spa is wonderful. The room needs airconditioning.
The decor of the rooms was very nice, the food at the Palme Restaurant was very good and not overpriced. In order to go through the swimming pool hotel guests had to enter via the "textile free" area. I feel that it would have been much better if there had been another entrance directly to the pool area.
This hotel is fantastic! The room was spacious, comfortable and modern the reception staff very helpful and the spa area is wonderful. If you're looking to relax, this is the hotel to choose! Service was a bit slow in the restaurant - I may have been last priority because I hadn't booked a table, but the reception staff hadn't advised me that I should. Also, a very small point, but there were no glasses of wine available at the bar, only small bottles.
Hotel was modern and clean. Beds require 2 pillows per adult which is expected by UK customers. Lack of Tea/Coffee making kit was not good.
Good location, good size room, everything working, good breakfast
great breakfast Extremely small room. Overpriced for the facilities available.
Quite nice hotel as four stars. Room is clean and big. No wireless internet in the room. I live in two nights, but the second day, I find out the towel and tissue box are not changed in the bathroom. Drink and snack in the room need to be charged.
fresh atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, breakfast excellent standard of evening meal not great
i was staying there to see a friend, so was ideal as easy walking distance into town
Would like coffee/tea making facilities in the room
It is a good business hotel For the second time staying here they tried to charge me more than i had agreed on booking.com. They did change it when I got my e mail to show them. Luckily I knew what I'd agreed to pay.
The staff in the bar where I took a meal in the evenings could not have been more helpful and spoke good english as did the desk staff. I was there for 8 days after extending my stay and my bedding was not changed once. Also you have to tell them if you are not taking breakfast as you get charged. I was also charged for parking but they did take it off when I explained that I did not even have a car. It is a bit of a walk into the centre.
the meals were superb, the staff were really helpful & friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day, superb view from our room;706
The staff were friendly and it was a great location
Comfortable and peacfull place to relax as well as working from my room I had no robe in my room
Comfortable room and good breakfast. Indoor pool excellent Was told by reception that restaurant was open to 22h but then told - later - we could not eat there because it was a special evening and fully booked. Had to eat in smokey bar.
Clean modern hotel in city cetre with excellent welcoming staff
Location was good and the staff very helpfull I would have liked to have facilities in the room to make a drink at any time
the location to the city centre was the main reason i booked there the bathroom was very small
Easy and polite check in, Pool, Sauna and upgrade. Coffee in lobby nice touch. It was actually a perfect stay!
The check out time is alot more realistic compared to other hotels Ive stayed in. The breakfast buffet is value for money as also not finishing until 11am means you can have a nice lie in.
I liked the view from our room over Paderborn and the relaxed approach of the staff. I would have liked to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Very quiet. Nice mixture of old and new. None
Nice room and building. We arrived just a few minutes before the latest check in time (due to roadwork on Autobahn) and when we two times, 1 hour before and 30 minutes before, try to call them, they neglected to answer the phone (which was apologized later). That caused us more stress than we wanted, since we had to drive faster to get there in time.
Sincerest thanks to the lovely englishman who stayed up late at reception to welcome us into the hotel. No criticisms really - freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast would have been nice and also a non slip floor in the shower tray!
Dispite the very few guests (sunday), all facilities were available, and all personel were helpful and kind. Even the breakfast buffet was fully available for one or two guests..
We arrived very late & left early - simply a place for us to sleep when the drive home was too far. However, we are regular travelers and know good quality for the money. We had two nice rooms for a very reasonable fee: a single room on the front side facing the parking lot for 80 euros & a double room on the back of the hotel facing the golf course for 100 euros - obviously ask for the backside if you are staying any length of time. It does have a large function room and, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to ask if there is a party scheduled before making your reservation or make sure your room is far from the action. The breakfast buffet is very nice - smoked salmon, prosecco, good scrambled eggs, etc.
The staff is plesant and efficient. They apologised that there was no menu in english and quickly located someone in the staff to sit with me and translate what was in the menu. This is *Service*. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel advertise free WLAN, but it requires them to generate a voucher to log in to the system and this is not done unless you ask. The WLAN then blocks outgoing VPN connections which was somewhat irritating. I can work around it easily enough, but I did not expect to have to do that.
Very quiet at the time of our stay, which was a bonus! Very wide choice for breakfast despite the apparent small numbersof guests. Staff very friendly & helpful. Nicely maintained grounds. No tea making facility in bedroom. Spa treatments very expensive.
The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. I shall certainly return.
The accomodation wing has only recently been opened and the room was beautifully appointed. The restaurant was excellent and there was a first rate sauna as well. Convenient for Paderborn and the army camp at Sennelager Nothing
The staff was very prompt and helpful Concept of double bed -two single beds joined together with single matresses,Need to have tea/coffee making facilities.
Beautiful scenery. Unclear routes in the park.
Beautifull place, nice and quiet. Room spacious, very friendly and helpfull staff .Good spa faclilities, lovely outside pool and park, convenient parking. no refrigerator in the room, no complimentairy coffee and tea in the room
It was very nice hotel and service. Spa was also nice to relax. Excellent hotel. The bed was too hard for me.
the quiet rooms, the honesty fridge
the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was lovely. the location was perfect.
Cleanliness, proximity to Paderborn's city centre
Very good value for money
centre of town did not speak english
We attended the British Fest ,and went down memory lane by meeting with ex Army pals from the 1980s We went for Breakfast on the Sunday , The Standard of the food for the money spent was poor the scrambled eggs were cold and the bacon was very greasy .
very clean and tidy room
Reception was only open until 14.30 on Sunday
I liked pretty much everything about your hotel really. Well, the minor inconvenience there was the entrance renovation work in progress but I was informed about it in advance, thanks to the hotel administration. Thus there were no unplesant surprises at all.
cleanliness / choice of food at breakfast
Staff were absolutely brilliant and the hotel was spotlessly clean No tea or coffee facilities in the bedrooms
The hotel was located centrally for the city and the staff were excellent and could speak good english
Great location, quiet position, large room and spacious bathroom. the breakfast was execellent. very heppful staff. -
The staff was extremely helpful, courteous, efficient and friendly.
I had stayed in Stadthus on a short business/holiday trip with my husband in Sept 09. We liked it so much that when I needed to do a short solo business trip there was no question of going anywhere else. Overall I consider it excellent. I like the hotel very much but as a solo occupying a double room it is a little bit expensive.
A family run traditional type of accommodation with character and charm. The staff were very helpful and friendly
This hotel was an excellent find. It is at a central old town but quiet position, had a night porter on duty to let us in at midnight, a beautiful large bedroom, excellent breakfast, very helpful staff and stored our case for us on day of departure. The room we were allocated does not have lift access - a difficulty for my husband who has mobility problems. There are other rooms which have lift access. I had not asked in advance and staff were willing to move us but we did not want to give up our lovely room!
The Hotel is in a good location for Paderborn city centre, an easy walk to loads of restaurants and shopping. A large parking area is also nearby at a cost of 2.5 euros for a day ticket. The internet was very intermitent and did not work at all in the evenings, this was a dissapointment
Very quiet, the swimming pool, friendly staff Bathroom very narrow
Helpful, very friendly owners and staff. Excellent for bike riders Sluggish service in the restaurant (although they apologised), could have changed the table cloth
Enjoying the peace and quiet and walking in the surrounding woodland. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant is excellent nothing at all
cleanliness, buffet breakfast was good although one morning no boiled eggs and sparse bacon. no lift, we are both 65 and two flights of stairs was a struggle, also would prefer a double bed not 2 singles pushed together
Visit to family Bar closed on saturday
nothing stale smokey smell all through the hotel, 1960's decor could do with being up dated
Great place, nice people, very nice design.
Helpful staff in a quiet hotel on outskirts of Paderborn. Very handy for public transport, local bus every 20 minutes to Paderborn.
OK hotel in any way. But we did not know it was out of town Paderborn. Good breakfast, served by a smiling woman, but the restaurant was closed an we were on the country side almost.
The swimming pool and sauna were excellent as were the friendliness of the staff
Personal touch, care taken to detail, comfortable, quiet, good breakfast, good base for sight-seeing trips.
A centrally located hotel in bad lippspringe, with a high cleanliness standard. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is wonderful with lots of meats, cheese, cereal and fruit and a selection of cakes and teas. There is a small pool with a steam room and sauna with was great in relation to the price and size of the hotel. I would definately recommend this hotel to couples who want a clean, comfortable, quiet hotel. There are some very nice cafes next to the hotel and it is a stones throw away from the park and shops.
I have stayed there before it is beside a lovely park and a nice safe town and some nice little shops some good restaurants near by
Really pleasant stay, friendly and helpful staff. Swimming bath, sauna and for 3 star hotel rich breakfast bufet. I will come back!
Being upgraded without asking warm and friendly staff located in local town very pretty decorations for Christmas season
Service was good. staff were friendl and breakfast was delicious each day None
The attention and interest shown by Mr Scherf; quality of the facilities; and the thorough professionalism of the establishment.
Excellent Location and very helpful staff
Excellent, spacy and clean room. Good service. Nice surroundings
We liked the good atmosphere in the hotel and the hospitality by the staff. We came with 4 children. Had a feeling that other guests in the hotel were elderly people and that we had to wisper in the corridors...
Everything worked out perfectly without complications. 4 light bulbs in the room and bathroom were missing or defective.
