7.1 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Comfortable well furnished room
Cons: We were given dinner menus in English, but unfortunately these had not been updated and some of our first choices were no longer available which was slightly disappointing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good for relaxing, walking and biking. Close to river. Good for old people.
Cons: I did not like the breakfast, and I did not find the environment international. In addition, I arrived in a very hot weather, and the room did not have any cooling facilities.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was good and was allowed sheltered parking at the front of the hotel for the motorcycle as the garage itself was full of bicycles. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was good for river walks but be careful of the road crossing. walking through the vineyard is also possible
Cons: This establishment caters for bus tours as one should expect. As such it was crowded and very busy particularly at meal times and this was a down side for us but that is a personal choice and not the fault of the premises. Our balcony was very small with limited view but again this was not a great problem to us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful hotel and it was a very pleasant stay! And on top of that, staff and owners did a very grateful job to send some lost luggage to our home adress! Now that's what we call service! We like to visit this place again!

Situated on the banks of the river Saar, this historical building offers elegant rooms with wonderful views of the picturesque Old Town. Saarburg railway station is a 2-minute walk away. The welcoming Hotel Villa Keller is an ideal base for exploring the Saar-Hunsrück nature park, or for relaxing boat trips along the river. After a long day, enjoy a wide range of cuisine in the hotel restaurant. Seasonal specialities are offered, and you can dine on the terrace in good weather. In addition, refreshing drinks and hearty snacks are served in the rustic pub with large beer garden. Try one of the home-brewed beers during your stay.
5.8 Okay
Pros: An airy room, clean ensuite, comfortable bed that didn't smell of fabric softener.
Cons: The room was on the third floor so internet was very weak/non existant. Staff were very pleasant but scarce which left us guessing where things were (breakfast room, access to the front porch etc). Also irritated by trains trundling past during the night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Worth the extra money to get a wonderful view of the castle from our room.
Cons: Would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room
4.0 Okay
Cons: After booking 3 weeks in advance, we arrived in the evening after a 15 hour journey. Repeatedly during the day we tried to call the hotel to say when we would arrive and to arrange for a meal. No answer, no forwarding message service so we were unable to talk with the hotel, When we arrived the place was in total darkness, no one at home. What to do ?. As luck would have it , next door was another hotel. Luckily they were able to accommodate us. The original hotel owners sat at the dining table and were as it were" on their day off ". Eventually they came over to us, no apology to us for the inconvenience, no excuse for the closed doors. They did accept our money for the reservation but didn't have the decency to inform us they wouldn't be there. This is disgraceful hotelier behaviour, at least they could have apologised but no it was insisted an email had been sent to us that afternoon. We did not receive any notification. In any case we were travelling throughout the continent. Our booking had been made three weeks in advance. Surely they had time to tell us they would not be there. This hotel purports to be of high standing. Despite the fine location next to the river Saar. I would certainly not recommend this establishment. One of the most unfriendly , inhospitable , unhelpful hoteliers I have ever come across

Pros: Location at the center of a nice small old town, with view on a river with spectacular waterfall. Old castle ruins and several restaurant terraces within 100 meters. Very friendly people. Well catered breakfast. Only 45 minutes from my destination: the Luxemburg opera. Surrounded by nice and quiet green hills but still within "commuting" distance from Luxemburg and Trier. Very much recommended! Will stay there again for the next baroque opera production in Luxemburg.
Cons: Bathrobe would have been nice and a second pillow. But really nothing serious to complain about.

Also this pub had its own brewery where you could make your own beer; so sounds good for a weekend stay! Also skiing area at the right time of year!
Cons: The lady who signed us in was so miserable, not welcoming at all. She did manage a smile when she served us our evening meal. I rarely complain but was going to say something to her but my wife preferred me not to as she would have had to translate!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and parking
Cons: The hotel only have one staff member to do a breakfast. There is no reception attendance at any other time. There is no bar facilities or a water or coke vending machine. The price we paid was for a room , a small tv and a meager continental breakfast. The hotel breakfast attendant on last day informed us that they only accepted cash. The hotel is not really good value for money. When we arrived we had to phone for an attendant the entrance to the hotel is from a side door for which one has to climb down a set of stairs!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the room. Best cup of tea in the world! Friendly staff at the restaurant where we had to collect the key.
Cons: Not enough bedding! We were one duvet short. The area code on the website took us 8km away! A bit of an issue when arriving at midnight after a 15 hour journey from Tuscany. No way of paying by card (although there was a cashpoint at the post office next door).

The price was value for the size of the room with the extra lounge was truly appreciated . The walking distance to visit attractions and restaurants and shopping opportunities was wonderful.
